In transitioning my father's accounts following his death, Vanguard representatives have provided horrible customer service First they sent me a host of red-tape forms to complete and some of them did not make sense Then they told me not to complete them and they would send different forms Then they started calling my sister to set up a conference call which was odd When asked about this they said that the message was for me and that I should get my information corrected, when I have been talking to them daily from my phone I really could go on and on with the mistakes they have made and their flippant response when the mistake is brought to their attention They really have a poor file system or poor employees I do not know exactly what is going on but they cannot get it together to actually get anything done This has been ongoing for monthsRepresentative are very incompetent and very flippant It is like Vanguard has created so much red tape to protect themselves from liability but it has actually confused the employees and no one can make sense of any of it or actually complete a task The biggest headache If anyone is seeking to use Vanguard as their brokerage company, I would strongly advise against it

Unfortunately, my husband and I fell on hard times about two weeks ago and we were behind on the rentWe received a three-day notice on our door, and after exhausting all our resources, I decided to take a withdrawal from my 401K with Vanguard
On 9/submitted my request via their website and on Monday, 9/17, I faxed all supporting documents (application and three-day notice) to the 1-number provided on the applicationI waited about 2-days on the decision of my withdrawal requestI decided to call on Wednesday and I was told my documentation would not suffice as it was not on company letterheadOK, no problemOur leasing office reprinted the letter on their letterhead and I re-faxed the document on 9/
Mind you, during this week I called Vanguard NUMEROUS times asking, "is anything else is missing from the documentation and all I was told was that the three-day notice needs to be on company letterhead." Alright, easy and fair enough
Since we are in a bind,

I began the process of a hardship withdrawal from my 401k on January 5thI faxed in and sent in all of the proper documents before receiving a phone call the next week that I needed to send in moreI faxed what they asked for and even had a three-way conversation with the medical group that the original bill was from
I called back a few days later and they ask for more documents some of which we had already sent
This has gone on for almost a monthThey ask for documents that I've already faxed and then ask for moreThe amount is very low and I have bent over backwards to try to fulfill what they're asking forTheir customer service is a joke, and I've spent literally hours at this point, on the phone with them, just to get the same run around
This is is my money and I should not have to jump through so many hoops to have it dispersed

This is a formal complaint about the form 1099R that vanguard had sent me indicating that I'm responsible for paying the equitable distribution of $when in fact this amount of money was rolled over to my traditional IRA annuity fund on 11/and all my retirement money was consolidated at Transamerica annuity account I did not handle this personally but the investment soecaist did this rollover on my behalf I hAd gotten other rollover if my other accounts from *** ***, *** *** and *** investments and all statements had shown that it was rolled over to my transamerica variable annuity .it was very blatant that they did not file my paperwork properly as this was done via transamerica and the money did not even passed through my hands From what I know even if they sent a check to me I had days to rollover to a retirement fund In order not to get taxed Very irresponsible, careless and inconsiderate of vanguards client when I had an account with them

Vanguard has locked me out of my account
They are holding about 600K of my assets (about 50/between IRA and regular investment account), to which the blocked my online access without any explanation of warning last week
My repeated calls to the customer support just result in promises that "someone will contact me shortly"They have given a timeframe of hours initially, it has been more than hours sinceNobody ever calls me backI called several times, but just keep hearing, those "shortly" promisesNot even an explanation

Dear Revdex.com’
I em hopping you can help me receive money that I have been waiting for for far longer then should be
I have terminated my employment with a company named *** *** and submitted with *** any monies in my 401k to be sent to meAll paperwork was completed and the told me that I should receive my check in the mail with in to business daysThat was on 04/28/ I have called them numerous times without no explanation for not receiving my check they said they would cancel the 1st check and send another and that it would take another to working daysWell I checked the mailbox today that would be the 10th working day and still nothing was sentThe times that I would speak with them on the phone we would confirm my mailing addressThey seemed to have a don’t care aditude about my concern, and why is beyond me
Could you please help me resolve this issue with this companyI truly believe that the money owed to me will never arrive as promised
The company

Continued unwanted mailings including personal information fully six years after closing all accounts

Changed phone numberNow they won't let me update account to new number or log in called and no help april Have voice verification but won't work either

on or around March 9th, I requested to sell my stockThe disbursement was to take 5-working daysFinally on March 28th, I received my disbursement, but it was only ~1% of the disbursement quotedI called Vanguard immediately the same dayThey said they would investigate and call my back within hoursNever got a call backI called again, they said the saw in their system there was an error and it was showing that I was not 100% vested, but they confirmed that I actually was 100% vested and someone would call me back the next morningAgain, never got a call backI call them AGAIN, they said the same thing, promised another call back by a certain timeAgain, never got a call backCalled again, they said I would get a call back (this was on Friday, April 1stMonday I finally got a call back, but no resolution to the situationI was told I would receive another call before the end of the weekGuess what -- I didn't get a call back4/- I called again and they told me it

I am respectfully requesting your assistance in resolving a matter regarding Vanguard, my 401K financial services provider They are preventing me from making a hardship withdrawal from my 401K fund I require the funds to address a family emergency, but the Vanguard customer service representatives have been condescending and uncooperative with me They are going out of their way to prevent me from withdrawing my own money I have been employed by my employer for the past years, and I am fully vested with my firm There should be no issues under the hardship withdrawal criteria established by my employer and Vanguard
I submitted a request for the hardship withdrawal days ago As a prerequisite to the approval, supporting documents must be provided to justify the emergency, which I have provided to Vanguard I contacted Vanguard yesterday, to follow up on my request Their customer service representative was very nasty to me, and informed me that one of my supporting d

On June 4, I was told by Vanguard to complete several steps to sign up for paperless delivery to avoid a $account fee Even though I had completed this years earlier, I followed the procedure On August 2, I was charged the fee anyway In spite of eight separate telephone calls to Vanguard where they promised to reverse the $fee each time, they have done nothing after nearly two months This is dishonest and misleading When I began with Vanguard four decades ago they had the best customer service in the industry; now they have the worst

Vanguard has the worst customer service in the financial industry Combine that with policies that even founder John Bogle would classify as antiquated and archaic, and you have many very frustrated customers I recently had to change an address on an IRA and it took multiple phone calls, long hold times, untrained phone reps, and one of them (Ryan Singleton), posing as a supervisor, even threatened that Vanguard would turn my account balance over to the state if my account change form was not mailed in within daysWhat? Well at least we now know the actual cost of low management fees They can only afford the bottom of the barrel in all other functional areas and have no idea how to deal with customers I don't look forward to having to call to request an account rollover form

IRS reported a distribution to me in of $ I have tried for two days to verify this employee sponsored account I retired from *** in I have been unable to get through their security questions in able to very this account I provided my SS#, my date of hire, my date of termination, my date of birth I was unable to verify the address they have on file from 20+ years ago I have no idea where the distribution IRS claims I received went to since they do not have an address I lived in for the past years on file They did verify that they found an employee sponsored account for me but could not give me any information because I could not verify whatever address they have on file This is a fraud to have funds that I cannot access due to their outdated security questions They do not have an address I have lived in for the past years and will not give me access to my account

I have been trying to roll over an employee sponsored 401K into an individual IRAAfter a lengthy process with inummerable road blocks I was finally notified the roll over was completeHowever Vanguard for some unknown reasons established acccounts, one has a balance, the other has the assets from the original plan. The account with the money in it was set up with an incorrect social security numberI was instructed I have submit a new Wform with a note requesting this to be correctedI completed that todayI am worried about what they are doing with my funds, since the incorrect social prevents me from accessing this accountI would like you to investigate the incompetence because I am beginning to believe it is deliberate to prevent me from removing the money from Vanguard

please, after several attempts to have assistance regarding my electronic accthave not been able to access my account for several weeks, have called repeatedly and have received no assistance
regards
*** ***

I call d vanguard afte I lost my job to close my accountWell it was already closed somehow! It hadn't even been a monthThey rolled it over and when I asked what the balance was I was missing almost a thousand dollars! The guy on the phone said that's what was in the account and he couldn't explain where the rest wentI still don't know an I'm furiousI worked very hard to earn this money and they don't even have answered about how it disappearedI just received a statement today for March that stars I had a total of in that account on March I was also informed that no one had to let me know changes had been made to my accountI don't understand how this is possibleI'm reaching out in hopes that you can provide helpThis whole thing is very suspicious

Vanguard financial services refuses to release my retirement plan into my bank accountI left ** *** and filed Wrongful Termination on May 25, Vanguard refuses to terminate my plan and payout all money owed to me from my employerCustomer service refuses to give me my 401k planI have requested on many occasions, however they refuse to assist me

I have some money remaining in my 401K at Vanguard I retired January 11th I called the company and was told to call them back when I receive my last checkI did and then they said to call back again after they receive notice from my employer I called again in late January and said I'd like to rollover the remaining money from my 401k into a Vanguard IRA, keeping the money in the same fund I was told I'd need to sign a form which could not be accessed over the internet and would have to come by snail mail I waited and signed the form and returned within business days Finally, on February 12th, I get an email stating that the account is 'terminated' but now they need another form signed "ira adoption form" Why wasn't it included previously?
I called on February16th and talked to a Marie [my spouse thinks her name was Gloria] She was so rude and condescending When we explained we were frustrated she said "well, let me educate you......."
as it turned out

Our Mother, *** * ***, had a small investment with VanguardShe passed 5/27/I requested forms for beneficiary from Vanguard, a Kathy
P***, rude, couldn't get a word in, ask a question, anythingForms for beneficiary payments to myself and brother, *** ***, were sent
Friday 6/22/with trackingThey were rec'd at Vanguard Monday 6/25/Today, Monday, July 02, I called and spoke to this P*** person
Again, rude, I couldn't finish a sentence; I finally told her, per laws letting her know, that I would be recording this callShe said, "We, Vanguard, can record you but you cannot record this." I agreed and stopped recorderI asked, when I could finally get a word in with this specimen, "How long
for beneficiary payment?" SHE SAID, "VANGUARD DOESN'T PAY OUTWE START AN IRA FOR YOU AND KEEP DECEASED'S MONEY!!" No, I said, whereupon she cut me offI said this was an investment, our mother passed leaving *** and I as beneficiaries..we want paymen

I receive payment from the *** criminals wanted for reward semaritan program that relies on semaritans to post tips for rewards and I actually earned and was nominated for two that totaled $300,and $450,and I opened up several accounts because the maximum the bank would take was $at my *** and so I opened one up at *** in *** *** *** and one at *** ** *** and one at *** not in that orderThe *** bank I got locked out of the system when I had received word from a bank that they had the money and they started giving me a hard timeI was being constantly told to come in person when I had no car and I was working on these rewards as a good semaritan as well as for the money that disability was not offering me which was security and the ability to feel proud staying homeSince I felt like I still had much to offer I realized I came up with a scribbled way of monitoring the terrorists, the missing and kidnapped, and the murdered victims
