I am rejecting this response because:October 2017To consumer credit state of Colorado and the Revdex.com,I am write to complain about *** and their collection company hired to service debts, Source Receivable Management.I found a collection on my credit report that was filed by *** for a past due bill I was unaware of, I have not had a *** account since I assumed this was incorrectly reported I disputed the information and told to try and contact the company as well. My husband had a phone associated with a business that used a phone number on this account and there was some issues of a non payment after they moved carriersThis phone had been cancelled as of 2015. I called the Collection agency Source Receivable Management directly upon my knowledge and arranged for payment, with the customer service rep stating it would be promptly removed upon receipt.I promptly made the payment and didn’t think about it againHowever, In August 2017, my husband and I were working with our lender for a refinance of the home we have lived in since 1993. The lender pulled our credit and to our dismay this *** collection showed on the report as a collection. We are negatively being impacted by this....I went on to dispute this again on line with www.***.com On September I Source Receivable Management for a follow up to see if we could verify the dispute and that this issue was resolvedWhen I explained my issue about my credit report, I was pass along to a manager, Ron M*** who during our 17b minute phone call proceeded to give an lecture gravity of my situation and negligenceStating the need nature of timely bill payments "how I failed to satisfy this collection- even though the bill had been paid as promptly.” How He was entitled as it doesn’t negate the payment it is necessary and within all his rights under the law to continue to show any and all creditors going forward my lack of responsibility as a credit risk. The amount of this bill was $415. I asked how this could possibly be in relation to any and all credit which I have held for more than years and have extraordinary payment history how is this possible or even necessary. I asked to find out the timeline in which he would consider the removal and updating the credit report and he stated it was his "intent" to follow this up to the full years that the Law allows" He was agitated with my questions and seemed aggressive, retaliatory and rude. I stated "he was arrogantly throwing the Fair Credit act at me and others as penalty for him to degrading people and consumers. He stated he was tired of everyone’s sad story, he hears it every day!" I was so rattled I got off the phone shaking and googled the Fair Credit Act….( Enacted in 1970, the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) was the first federal law to regulate how your personal information is used by a private businessThis act safeguards your credit by requiring consumer reporting agencies to follow certain standards.) I was stunned that I could be in this situation with no recourse to remedy it as a conscious consumer…I retold the call to my lender today who said that this was completely uncustomary to have a collection agency take this to such extremes. She attempted to call and conference the company in a call to gather more information, maybe there was something else that was undisclosed that we were unaware ofThe gal Jessica at Source Receivable Management said "no according to the notes, no one was to help advice or remove this from reporting it to a credit agency." She said, "*** take this SERIOUSLY! Sometimes it is too much" When we asked how long she had been with the company she said two months and that she was sorry she was and could only do her job. We asked if we could please get the copies of the Transcripts as Source Receivable Management records all calls; she said she would have to get permission from her manager. We were transferred to the manager, whom we assumed to be Ron M***. The call went through and we were promptly hung up on.I am concerned that the manager Ron M***, has copies of all my credit information, all my personal info and with such anger he would use it to harm us. As a consumer, one should feel so violated and threatened by a collector especially one that has made payments and working to resolve the situation in a reasonable mannerThis is terrible and a complete waste to treat people so wrong! I contracted with *** and this is who they chose to resolve their business collections. I was wrong to have missed this bill however this is crazy and I fear retaliation…Please help me understand how *** and this collection agency can continue such uncustomary business practices? I read the consumer report, yelp and Revdex.com reviews and this has been going on with this company since the mid 2009!!! How many other people feel the same fear and violation? I am very upset!I appreciate anyone reviewing to help resolve this going forward. AGAIN the bill has been paid, as of May in which the company stated they would not report and would remove this from the credit agencies.....I just do not understand! Please let me know if I can further assist in these details.Regards,*** ***[email protected]

I am rejecting this response because:
I am not satisfied with the company approach taken against the employee that blantantly violated my rights as a consumer and badgered me. I feel that I was talked to rudely, disrespected, and disrupted while at work after asking the company on other calls outside of this one not to contact me during my work hours and not until after 5 PM EST. I was advised on each previous call that I was being recorded, therefore, this information should be easily verified. I will be seeking guidance from an attorney regarding the violation of my rights moving forward.

We have received and reviewed the consumer complaint claiming that a representative from our office continued to talk to her on her cell phone after she said that she couldn’t talk during work hours.  On behalf of the representative, we apologize for the consumer’s experience.  We have...

provided coaching to the representative on how he could have handled the situation differently and have required that he repeat FDCPA training, specifically regarding inconvenient contact.  To avoid any future calls to the consumer’s cell phone, we have ceased attempts to contact the consumer regarding the collection of the debt.  If she would like to contact our compliance department directly with questions she is welcome to call [redacted] or e-mail [redacted]@sourcerm.com.  If Ms. [redacted] would prefer to discuss the account with someone other than Source Receivables Management, there is also a Patient Advocacy Group she can call at [redacted].  Again, we are so sorry for Ms. [redacted]’s experience and hope that we have helped resolve her complaint.  Please advise her that we are a professional debt collector; however this communication is for the sole purpose of responding to her complaint and is NOT an attempt to collect a debt.

We have received and reviewed the consumer complaint claiming that the consumer has been unable to reach our office and requesting removal of an account from the consumer reporting agencies. The referenced account was placed in our office for collection on 2/15/2017.  Correspondence was mailed...

to the consumer on 2/20/2017 and 9/18/2017 at the same address listed on this complaint.  Our mailing address is [redacted].  Our toll-free phone number is [redacted].  Our office hours are as follows:  Monday-Tuesday 8am-9pm; Wednesday-Friday 8am-5pm; and Saturday 8am-12pm (Eastern Standard Time).  All of our contact information was included in the correspondence mailed to the consumer.  According to our investigation as well as the creditor’s, we have reached the correct consumer and the charges are valid.  The account was updated as disputed with the consumer reporting agencies in response to a previous dispute.  As the information reported to the consumer reporting agencies is accurate, it will not be removed at this time.  The consumer is welcome to pay the account, but the account would be updated accordingly with the consumer reporting agencies as paid.  We do not accept payments for deletion.Attached please find verification of the debt and documentation from the creditor to help the consumer understand the balance. If the consumer has any questions, the compliance department can be reached directly at [redacted]@sourcerm.com or [redacted]  We hope we have helped the consumer resolve this complaint.  We are a professional debt collector attempting to collect a debt and any information obtained will be used for that purpose.

We have received and reviewed the consumer complaint claiming that we are reporting an account to the consumer reporting agencies that was not verified. The referenced account was placed in our office for collection on 5/18/2017.  Correspondence was mailed to the consumer on 5/23/2017 and...

8/19/2017, but this complaint is the first response we have received from the consumer.  No prior disputes, verbal or written, were communicated with our office.  This complaint is our first request for written validation of the debt. According to our investigation as well as the creditor’s, we have reached the correct consumer and the charges are valid.  The remaining balance on the account is for unpaid service and multiple equipment cancellation charges on the account.  Verification with documentation has been mailed to the consumer’s address today to help the consumer understand the balance.  A copy of that documentation is also attached to this complaint response. The information that was reported to the consumer reporting agencies is confirmed to be accurate and complete; therefore we cannot remove the information.  We have notified the consumer reporting agencies that the account is disputed.  Consumer reporting agencies may take 30 days or longer to update their records and that is beyond our control. If the consumer has any questions, the compliance department can be reached directly at [redacted]@sourcerm.com or [redacted].  We hope we have helped the consumer resolve this complaint.  We are a professional debt collector attempting to collect a debt and any information obtained will be used for that purpose.
