Received an unsolicited phone call today @ 3:33 pm from a "[redacted]" who stated he was calling on behalf of Spinnaker Resorts. His call was from a disguised, phantom or fake phone number ([redacted] : 703-204-9406). I told him that my phone number he reached me on is on the DNC list, and the number has been on DNC for a LONG time, and that I was recording his call for "training purposes". He immediately hung up. I immediately called the phone number back, and there was no answer, just ringing.
ANY company, like Spinnaker Resorts, that appears to engage in, or pays another company or person, to make any unsolicited phone calls for the purpose of selling a timeshare, should raise a red flag to everyone. Selling timeshares by phone is a business practice, but not a legal one if the phone number receiving the call is on the DNC list.
Would any smart person really want to give this company any consideration for their product if that company doesn’t even follow the law by obeying the DNC list?

would like to visit. This is our standard policy in order to give our owners first opportunity to the available inventory they have purchased for their vacation times. Spinnaker will review all of the recordings from Mrs. [redacted] calls, but in the interim we would like to extend an apology to her and the improper way she felt the calls were handled on May 2, 2016. Our Marketing department will be refunding her $300.00 for the promotional 3nights/4days for which she has paid. Spinnaker would also like to offer her a Dream week voucher that will be sent via the mail system with the address she has provided.

I just received a call from them at my mothers. The lady was rude when I told her that we are on the do not call list. She called from [redacted]. She called our number on 6-16-16 @3:02 pm. Said her name was [redacted]. She stated that we needed to check our number because she can call since we have done business with them in the past. NO we havent. I asked for their address and she said to Google it that she didn't have time to give me that information. That she wasn't doing anything illegal and if I wanted to call the ftc and report them to feel free. I asked for them to take us off the list. She was RUDE RUDE RUDE!!!! Bad business!!! Any business that we do will be through [redacted] in Myrtle Beach not these people. If you didn't have time to give me your address then you obviously don't have time to serve the public properly.

I have been an owner for over 10 years. When sold the property we were told that upkeep and change out of furniture would be like that of any personal property owned and used throughout the years. Well the mattress in my unit has never been changed. I am unhappy to write that nothing of any importance to me has been change in our unit as a matter of fact some things have been removed. Both TV's are not flat screened and the music player is a outdated CD player our last visit we could not get it to work. The living room furniture is so uncomfortable in that we would rather sat in a chair. I am fed up with paying these fees and living in a one bedroom that is not what I am accustomed to. I actually almost hate spending my week there. Maintenance fees are demanded yearly and must be paid on time or fined which we have always done just that. But why should I not expect what was promised for my money. Instead Spinnaker continues to invest in other properties neglecting Waterside and it's residents.

I bought this product and was told they would take my current time share points in as trade. Was given $27,000.00 dollars off the purchase price and was told would receive a check for the remaining $29,000.00 in 12-14 months when all the paperwork was finalized. Paid $19,799.00 out of pocket and financed $19,500.00 with their financing. Usage year to use the property was 2016. So have never gotten any use from the purchase. Have been making monthly payments of $423.36 since Janurary 2015. Well needless to say after 16 months nothing has happened and I have filed a suit against the company.

We have researched Mr. [redacted]'s complaint and we have cancelled the 4 day/ 3 night open dated package and refunded the $398.00 collected.  I personally listened to the verification of the package purchase which was recorded for Quality Assurance and Training purposes.  At the 5:50...

minute mark of the recording the Quality Assurance officer went over exactly what you were to receive with the package.  The transcript reads as follows: Quality Assurance Officer: "Now, Mr. [redacted],  a Quick Recap your full Vacation Package, it is for 4 day / 3 nights and all of those gifts that you and I just covered together, The price you have agreed to pay for this heavily discounted promotional offer is $299.00; and it is my job as quality assurance to go over the taxes and resort fees of $99.00. now these taxes and resort fees include items such as state and local taxes,  cleaning of your unit, priority parking for you and Mrs. [redacted], and Priority shipping of your confirmation.  Now from this point, you will owe no additional monies at check-in or check-out and your vacation package is paid in full; and I do have your permission to authorize the $99.00. " Mr. [redacted]: "Yes Sir"At the 8:53 minute mark of the conversation the transcript reads as follows:  Quality Assurance Officer:  "What I am going to do is send out of this information today, the first confirmation to your email within 48 hours and your confirmation letter to your home within 7 -10 business days.  now what I'm going to do is finalize the transaction in one charge totaling $398.00; and again Mr. [redacted] your statement is going to show Monster Reservations Group, so to be clear sir, You and Miss Debra  will owe no monies at check-in or check-out even if this is used on a major holiday sir, you are paid in full; and I do have your permission to finalize this $398.00?"Mr. [redacted]:   "Yes Sir"I will make this recording available to Mr. [redacted] if he doubts what our investigation revealed.  However,  as it stands we have cancelled the purchase of the vacation package and refunded Mr. [redacted]'s credit card in the amount of $398.00 and we have also placed Mr. [redacted] on our Do Not Call list as he will be excluded from any further promotional offers from Spinnaker Resorts. We have
investigated your allegations regarding your most recent purchase of a travel
package to visit one of our resorts. We are aware that your most pressing
concern is the alleged non-disclosure of you having to travel with a spouse of
a significant
other which whom you cohabitate.  We are sorry that you are
having issues with your spouse but we hope you can see our confusion when you
say “I
purchased the vacation alone, without my wife”.   However, the name on the
credit card you offered to 
pay for the vacation was your wife’s “Wendy”.   Therefore,
since there is a serious issue with the authorization of the transaction, 
we have refunded the account in full as to not be pulled into a credit card
fraud complaint with your estranged wife.   
 
We will also
place you and your wife on our permanent Do Not Call list so we won’t have
similar issues in the future. Please Allow 7-10 business days for this refund
to reflect in your account.

Our apologies,  I received the paperwork today and have signed the approval and sent to the Accounting Department to obtain a Refund check by Friday of this week. Thank You,Spinnaker Resorts, inc.

Thank you for your patience as we researched the claims that
that arose in your most recent complaint with the Revdex.com. After taking some time
to investigate the claims you made, along with the information in your owner
file; our records indicate that you
did sign and agree to the resale attempt of your [redacted] Property. You stated
in your complaint that you were led to believe that this paperwork would have
your [redacted] contract cancelled immediately, but the
documentation we have contradicts your
allegation.  If you refer to the Timeshares Only Referral form which you
signed at the point of sale you will see it specifically explains our company’s
part in the referral process.  We were
only to refer you to a third party company for you to work with to sell your
non-spinnaker timeseshare resort property.  There
is another document that supports our position and that document is called “Three Reasons”. This document is one we ask all of our new
purchasers to complete because it tells us the primary reasons why someone
decided to purchase with our company.  If
you refer to the form you completed it says very clearly “The ability to list my [redacted]
property with a reputable company.” This seems very clear that it was
explained to you that the property would be listed for sale with a reputable
company, that being Timeshares Only.
 Our records also indicate that page one (1) of the Purchaser’s
Acknowledgement was signed and agreed upon, including the non-contingency of
any resale or transfer of any other real estate or vacation property. No one
can guarantee that a property is sold on the resale market as it depends on
potential buyers.
 Unfortunately, at this time we feel that there is no reasonable
justification to cancel your contract based on the information that we have
gathered and that you have shared with us. Our records indicate that you were
given the correct information, that you understood that information, and signed
accordingly. We are very happy to hear that you were able to rid yourself of
your [redacted] timeshare, like you had hoped from the beginning, and we look forward
to many years of smooth sailing ownership in the coming years.
