As always, great service performed by professional, knowledgeable staff. Over the past 3 years, we have had all of our plumbing updated and a water filter system added. Every experience with this company has been up to our high standards of customer service and staff dedicated to doing things properly. Nobody likes paying for plumbing, but the kindness and courtesy of the staff take the bite out of the bill.

This is the second time I have used this company and on both occasions the receptionists were very courteous, as were the technicians. They were prompt as well, and did a good job of assessing the issue(s) to the extent that they were able to determine the exact problem. They did not charge for a follow-up service call, and I feel confident that the company will take whatever steps are necessary without adding additional or unnecessary costs. Trust is an important commodity in the plumbing industry, probably second only to ensuring water and/or waste stays where it belongs, and I think this company is excellent on both accounts.

I have used Benjamin Franklin for over ten years and have always found them very professional, and eager to assist from my first phone call to the individuals who come out to do the inspection and/or work. They always follow up on my satisfaction of whatever the service call was concerning. Carey who set up the appointment my most recent appointment and Jared who was the first service person were very personable and knowledgeable. I had a great deal done which included three other people and all were respectful of my home and property. I would and have recommended Benjamin Franklin to friends & family.

I have used Benjamin Franklin plumbing for around 5 years. They are always dependable and reliable. Trever came due to a stopped up toilet recently. He was professional, friendly and trustworthy. I would definitely request Trever the next time I have a plumbing service need.

Every time I have used Benjamin Franklin Plumbing I have been very happy with the results of their work.
My serviceman, Jairo, was very knowledgeable about my problem and was able to solve the problem. He also showed me some areas of sink plumbing that needed attention.
A great serviceman...he was very polite and explained everything he was doing so I would understand. Jairo is a great employee of Ben Franklin Plumbing.
Kristin was very helpful in getting me scheduled for service and called me to let me know Jairo was on his way.

We have been using Ben Franklin's services for almost 20 years. We have never been unhappy with their services. We are on the annual maintenance plan and Ben Franklin detects minor problems with our plumbing before they become big ones. Dakota has become one of our favorite techs. He often makes suggestions for upgrades on our systems and I have been very pleased with the results.

Had a BFP plumber in my house to fix a few issues. Paid the bill only to find out later the plumber had broken the kitchen faucet and water heater. I called the company and talk to "Mike" not sure of his title or last name. He made many promises to fix the damage. The kitchen faucet being replace - I would select a faucet and he would let me buy it at cost.I would not pay for service call but installation. This was agreeable the faucet was 8 years old. He would get my water heater functioning. Benjamin Franklin replace unit in 2010. I agreed the unit was old but working before his plumber touched it. Second plumber came over. 2nd plumber said control value rusted through and he would replace for free the valve saving me $500. He also recommended I replace the entire water heater. I said no fix what was broken and get out. Minutes later the plumber appears at the door...now, the valve is broken and the only option is a new unit for $1000. I told him to leave and have Mike call me. I was not agreeable to this. The only phone call was from a customer service rep asking about my satisfaction with the service. I missed the call. I called the company on the 26th of June. I explained the situation. I was told Mike was in the office, on the phone, and that he would call me. That was 2 days ago. I sent a certified letter to the company asking for a response. I have had the bank hold the $522.88 charge for the charges /services in question. I have paid for the service call and the service they were called out to fix. $449. Mike promised to refund $107.88 for the membership and questioned the other service provided. Pictures were taken - have said he saw the picture and he question why the valve was changed out. I was told the flow valve in the master bath was "contained" and had to be replace and could not be adjusted. Mike was confused on the statements his plumber made. He said he would talk to Tony the flumber and get backk to me and make me "whole" again.

On 06/05/18 I hired this company to replace a garbage disposal. I had many concerns with the behavior of the plumber who came into my house as well as the price, which with research, I found to be extremely high. I left a negative review on 6/5/18 and Mr. Mike S contacted me on 6/7/18 to discuss my concerns.

Mr. S told me he took my concerns very seriously and would speak to the plumber and look into the billing as he did not have my invoice at that time. Mr. S told me he would provide an itemized list of what I was charged for as the invoice I had only listed the total for the job. Mr. S told me he would follow-up with me on 6/8/18 or 6/11/18 at the absolute latest. On 6/14/18 I had still not heard back from anyone from the company. I called and spoke to a receptionist who stated she would hand deliver a message to Mr. S to return my call.

On 6/19/18 I had still not heard from the company. At this point I felt the company was trying to avoid me. I called them again and was able to speak to Mr. S. This was in the afternoon. Mr. S reported he would refund me the service fee and had sent me the itemized invoice. Mr. S confirmed my email address and it was noted he had the wrong email address. Mr. S reported he would immediately resend the itemized invoice.

That evening I had still not received the itemized invoice. I called back to request it. I was told it had been sent; however, moments later I received an email from Kristin J. She attached an invoice that was not itemized. It was the total price of the job minus the service charge refund.

On 6/23/18 I emailed Ms. J to request the itemized invoice Mr. S promised. Ms. J responded on 6/25 stating the invoice sent was the itemized invoice and stated "We are a straightforward, up-front company. Therefore, we do not break down time, material, taxes, warranties, etc.… That is all included in the up front price that was given. "

I think your referring to this in the concern
itemized list of what I was charged for as the invoice I had only listed the total for the job.

Is that correct?

If so, the customer states what is correct, we charge straight forward prices, just like we get when we go to McDonalds or buy milk, ect.. .and just like Revdex.com does ..its xx for the membership, its xx for the tv spot, its xx for the web ad, no on itemiz’s their true costs, with labor, insurance, warranties, ect. we charge the same way. We itemize the invoice like most receipts…by the item that we charge or credit…the job, the service fee, the discount, ect.

We don’t breakdown, material and labor, hours, ect..its one price for the job.

Here is the invoice that the customer approved the up front price before work was started and he signed again stating that he accepted the work completed.

The customer states that we were not looking at the invoice when we got his request, so we agreed we would get him an itemized receipt, thinking that our plumber did not list each of the work items we did, but when we got the invoice, we saw it was listed correctly and explained to the customer again how we price out our jobs, its XXX for a new disposal installed, with labor, materials, warranty, taxes, insurance, ect..

Its xx for our service fee, its xx for a new water heater, ect.

This invoice is itemized, it lists the work we did and the price, it lists the service charge and it lists the discount we included..all itemized.

Then when we added another discount of the 69.00 we sent him another itemized invoice showing the additional discount we gave him.

We have always had an excellent experience with Benjamin Franklin Plumbing. Even though most of us may not want to invite a plumber to come out to the house, Ben Franklin has taught me that annual maintenance always pays off in the long run. We are on the annual maintenance plan, and we welcome their Service Pro flushing the hot water heater, checking the water pressure, water quality, and the shut-off valves under the sinks, toilets and refrigerator. In fact on today's visit, Cameron found that our water pressure was way too high for our house, which posed a potential danger for major damage to our water softener. The water softener company had failed to check the water pressure at the time of installation. Without Ben Franklin's inspection, we would have never known about this potential hazard! Fortunately, Cameron had the part on his truck, and he installed a pressure regulator today to correct the problem. I'd have to say that the 5-star rating I gave Ben Franklin Plumbing today was due, in large part, to Cameron's professionalism, courtesy, experience and expertise as he performed our annual check-up. But to be fair, our experience with all the Service Pros that came out to out home has been excellent. I would most highly recommend signing-up for the annual maintenance program, and rest easy that your home's plumbing is in good shape.

I have used Benjamin Franklin (AKA Stampede) for many years. I appreciate the care they take of my whole house. I appreciate the reminders when it is time to change RO filters, drain the hot water heaters, and the follow up on major repairs. I had a slab leak and required replumbing. Mikey and Mike even did an extra task for me not related to plumbing but definitely related to customer satisfaction. I recommend them wholeheartedly.

I called Benjamin Franklin because there was a sticker on our old water heater to call Brewer if under one year and Benjamin Franklin if over one year. We built out house 3 years ago and the water heater went out. After researching, the unit has a warrantee for 6 years, so I figured call the number on the unit and they will facilitate the warrantee. I called and they said there would be a $70 service charge and the rest would be be taken care of under warrantee. Well, uptop arriving, the "plumber" (more like sales person), went through our house telling us everything we needed to get done, giving us estimates for random things for over $10,000. I JUST NEEDED MY WATER HEATER REPLACED. I was told to replace the water heater under warrantee, it would be $932 (A far cry from the $70 service call). Then I was given estimates for their superior heater of $2,200. First of all, $2,200 for a water heater is highway robbery. I was being pitched the 12-year service plan that came with it. I asked for just a water heater and not a service plan and was first told that it was not available. Then after talking (more like bargaining, I felt like I was at a car dealership) I was offered a 9-year plan, then 6-year plan. It was 3:30PM on a Friday and at this point just wanted hot water for the family over the weekend. I went with the 6-year plan and hot water heater (against my better judgment, but again just wanted hot water over the weekend and was against a corner). I should of called someone else from the beginning, but was originally told the old water heater would be covered under warrantee and did not know until late Friday that it would actually be $932 to "be covered". I do not like the bait and switch tactics, I do not like the high sales pressure environment and I do not like needing a simple water heater replaced and being pitched thousands of dollars in other equipment, replacing stuff we had that was pretty new. Even after everything was completed, the sales person/plumber made a comment that he accidentally gave us the price on an electric heater instead of gas. That he would honor this lower price, but we were getting a "deal". One last sales jab. Highly disappointed.

Thank you for letting us know how your appointment went, we are listening to the call recording and are looking into this matter and will have a manager call you as soon as possible. We take these statements seriously and are looking into this right away. Our company can definitely work with different manufacturer part warranties, but we cannot guarantee to get the manufacturer replacement equipment same day if supply houses are closed after a certain time. And yes we can work with manufacturer warranties, but labor to install the equipment is still determined at your service call appointment. We had quite a large project involving the replacement of 2 main sewer lines from the house to the street (it took 4 days). We had a team consisting of Bobby, Tim, and Richard. One of problems involved a gas line which had penetrated the drain line. The team contacted the gas company so they could do a temporary rerouting of the gas line while the drain was replaced. Another problem occurred when they found the drain line didn’t go straight out to the street but went at an angle under the driveway to the street. The team took all these things in stride, there were no outbursts of anger, no swearing, just honest professional work.

Little things were addressed. There was a hole in the lawn where a tree had been removed. After one of the guys stumbled because of the hole, they filled it so no one else would trip.

One of the toilets kept running causing water to keep going down the drain. They gave me a new flapper to put in the toilet to stop the water from running.

These and other unforeseen events occurred but the team always had a good attitude about the job and there were no additional charges for the work. The price I was quoted is what I paid.

I highly recommend them for their professionalism and their good attitudes. I would recommend them to others and would not hesitate to call upon them again.

It starts with the office personnel. They are outstanding. Cary, Katrina, & Kristin. Professional, knowledgeable, and caring. Dekota was the technician. He took the time to educate me yesterday and today installed a water heater, a water softener, and a charcoal filter unit. He had Heiro and Jesse as assistants. They were all excellent. Yes, I would recommend Ben Franklin Plumbing to anyone who wants quality work done.

What a great experience! The scheduler was kind, courteous and got us an appointment fast and when we needed one.
Dakota was fantastic. He contacted the manufacturer (Moen) and got us the replacement parts for free under the warranty terms!
