I cancelled my account last [redacted] via phoneWas told by staff at the location I went to that everything was fine, and that my account would run out and then be cancelled I received a collections call yesterday by someone who wouldn't tell me how much it was for, what the charge was, anythingI contacted [redacted] at the [redacted] (he sold me my membership) and he said I needed to physically go into the location to cancel I can't get hold of anyone who will tell me anythingI just don't want a bad mark on my credit because this company is trying to steal from me

I was a member at the Steve Nash gym at city square until I suffered a major concussion [redacted] and a separate injury that severed the tendons in my hand the same weekI was suffering extreme memory loss and was heavily sedated after my surgeryI do not recall much of that month, but once I become more mentally cognitive they had passed my billing to a collection agencyI was told they phoned me multiple times and instructed me how to cancelI could no longer come in, in person, [redacted] Trying to resolve this issue now I am told if I was able to answer the phone I should be able to write an email to cancel my membership [redacted]

With true disappointment and rough feelings towards the organization that I have supported for years it is now time to move on Steve Nash fitness world has rejected my business after years of being a loyal customerThe organization first tried to sell me on membership at branch level and were not successful as I felt pressured by their representatives one after anotherShortly after that experience and closer to when my agreement was expiring the re-newal staff wrote me an email informing me about signing up and also noted to reach out incase I a question (see email below dated February 27th on the reply) I wrote an email and yet have not recieved a feed back March 10th I made my third attempt and wrote an email to the upper managment and yet have not heard back from them either these actions and ignorance towards clients will result in loss of client base and creates a bad reputation for the brand See the chain of emsils below: ------ Hello, I am a f

I've been attempting to cancel my Steve Nash membership but they have harder than it supposed to beWhen I signed up I did so because I was told I can cancel anytime by the Manager I am guessing he was trying to meet sales targetOne such incident where I was concerned is when I filed for membership freeze and paid itI had this done with the manager and later close the date I found out it was not processedLucky someone at the front desk helped me and I was able to get it done without paying againI was not even provided with a terms of membership or any such thing only invoice I could only take the managers word for itIf the manager that signed me up was still there I could have solved this but since then he has been fired from what I have been told Over the last month I have been trying to cancel my membership with another manager and they have made it impossible to do so and difficult to communicate withVery strict and specific criteria to cancel membership and has be

Several Complaints The Cambie location found me in the mall and offered me a 7day trail [redacted] , she said my school had a student discount and I should come see herShe also asked if I had any friends and I invited my friend *** We did a tour of the facility and immediately after we were brought into a room, they closed the door and started explaining how they workThey showed us pricing and then I was informed that my school didn't qualify for a discountThe manager was then called in and explained if I used my friend's credit card, I could be classified as a family planI asked about cancelations then because I didn't feel comfortable being pressured to use someone else's card and Lorinder advised I only needed to provide days notice to cancelWe weren't given any contracts to read and things weren't explained wellMy friend really wanted this so we both signed up and they scheduled our personal training dateWe later found out they s

I wanted to have months training session but then I end up signing for a year, After training I could not go due to work hours restrictions, after months, I was pregnant and said due to pregnancy I can not continue to come in, so can you please cancel my membership, to which they clearly told me that I had signed contract and in order to cancel, I need to pay all the amount, Even though I wont be able to use the services, I really felt cheated as this was not verbalized, so I read contract and ot said on certain conditions membership can be cancelled, I thing being pregnant is mot one of them Anyway, so I asked them to cancel whenever the contract is over Now, my contract was over in June and I am still being billed, so I asked them and they said you need to fill out cancellation form and verbal cancellations are not acceptableAlso it takes days for cancellation, which means I am paying months on top of my contract, and now they told me there will be charge of mainten

In November and December of they have been taking cash payments from me (for my monthly membership fee) and in addition to that also [redacted] charging my mom's credit card on the sideIn November they charged me three times - I paid in cash, after that my boyfriend paid them in cash (in person), he wanted to do it as a surprise for me, as I was struggling financially, and they actually asked him to pay way more (by $more on top of the actual amount)In December I paid them in cash, days later they charged my mom's credit card again [redacted] The other important detail is that for the last several months, since October 2015, they have been charging the credit card for one amount (several dollars more) but asking for another amount when I was paying by cash Several weeks ago I have contacted their billings/payments departmentThe guy whom I talked to said he will pass on all the information and my message to [redacted] (their Manager), a

They wont stop phoning me, asking for [redacted] who obviously isn't at this numberI have asked them to stop calling me, take my number out of her account, etc and they wont stopWhen I ask for a supervisor they say there isn't oneWhen I call the number back and ask for a supervisor they take my name and number and never get back to me

In early [redacted] my wife and I became joined the Steve Nash Fitness [redacted] location In [redacted] we decided to discontinue our membership We had not signed a contract, nor were we ever given a contractual agreement We only signed the electronic pad authorizing pre-authorized withdrawls for the agreed upon monthly amount for our membership However, when we requested to terminate our contract with the manager, ***, and gave a full one months notice, their records showed that my wife was on a month-month basis, however I was signed up for a one year contract with them [redacted] investigated and agreed to honour the termination [redacted] I met [redacted] at the location and signed the documentation confirming the termination of the contract Now in [redacted] two payments were withdrawn from my bank account by Steve Nash Fitness, and when I called to inquire as to why, the new manager, [redacted] claimed they had no record of the termination and that their records show that my

SNMC has upgraded and now members must $a month with no notificationApparently an email Here is my letter to Membership Services Originally in calling Membership Services I had the intentions of asking why as a loyal customer for years and member of SNMC that I would have to pay this "apparent", unbenounced to me membership increase for SNMCI was given the complete run-around of who to talk to when finally the cycle of transfers ended with a conversation with Kelsey, the assistant GM of SNMCShe gave me your contact information as they do not "deal" with membership retention I heard from a friend today that memberships are increasing. Thus, I called SNMC for further clarificationI spoke with Michael and he said there was no way around not paying the increase $bi-weeklyInstead of listening to my concerns/frustration,he went on and on about the state of the art tower and grass patch etc" they put $into the gym so a fee increase is unavoidable." I felt like this was a lost cause so ended the conversation as I was only going to listen to some SN manager jargon Next conversation was an incorrect transfer followed by Kelsey, assistant managerSame rhetoricNothing they can doAt one point she said she did not have the answerSo I asked, then connect me to someone who doesAt another point, I asked to not be in an argument as her tone was completely defensiveI was horrified with her rudeness and ineffectiveness in customer service Listen, I know there is upgradesNot a member can miss it with the signs plastered all overWhat has not been addressed over the last few months, as upgrade signs have appeared, is the notification that pretty much every member ("unless signing up in the last year") is being told to pay $extra a monthToldI'm not okay with thisYes, I attained my membership from Fitness World over years agoAt that time, Steve Nash didn't exist in our area or probably in many areasMy husband and I have been clients for over yearsI'd appreciate some customer loyaltyYet every single time I talked to someone today I was met with resistance and rudeness [redacted] The way I was spoken to today was disgustingI would have been fired if I dealt with customers in the same way as KelseyI asked this conversation with her to be written on my file as she says they do not do reference numbers Initially, what began as a complaint about membership fees became a complete customer service issue and complaintI am not okay with paying an extra $monthSorryThat money is better well spent going into my two son's RESPI am extremely not okay with not being told that I am to pay for this upgradeI'd also like to support a gym that treats it's clients wellNot just consumed with recruiting new members Not once was I polled during a workout to see if I was okay to pay $(an increase of 50%) to have equipment installed in the gym that I am never going to useI feel blindsided, and I am sure many SNMC members will too when they examine their visa statements debit transactions next monthThere needs to be a remedy to this problem As for customer service goes, I am disappointedDisappointed in the way the manager and assistant manager of SNMC handled the situationDisappointed in the lack of sincerityAnd incredibly disappointed in how GM and assistant GM can be so rude and argumentative to loyal clients who have paid into this gym for years

I started a membership with steve nash on [redacted] I was in a job competition and asked if I canceled within months if I would have to pay the annual fee to the person who signed me upI asked them because on the steve nash website it stated that you pay it months after starting They stated that as long as I canceled within the first months that I wouldnt have to pay it, as it would have been less than months I ended up getting the job, the place has a gym so I didnt need this gym membership I canceled on [redacted] , a month and a half in to the membership, so it would go for another monthPutting it at roughly months of serviceSo I did cancel within the first months There website: [redacted] CLEARLY states: "ANNUAL CLUB ENHANCEMENT FEE $payable months after membership has activated" They did not provide me with a physical or digital copy of any agreement until I brought up the fact

I signed up for a membership in Nov of for a club that was to open in December As an incentive to sign up before the facility was completed, the joining fee and annual club enhancement fee for the first year were waivedThere were delays and the club did not actually open until mid/end January As a good gesture towards customers, February dues were waived (as confirmed by the member services manager) I recently cancelled my membership and after an email exchange with customer service was told there would be no charge to me on March as my last month had been prepaidImagine my surprise when the annual club enhancement fee was taken from my account on March My contract states that this fee is due June 1st for enrollment dates of January, Feb, or MarchI spoke to the manager of membership services who told me that my enrollment date was Dec 1, as this was listed as my dues start date on my original contractI explained that this could not be held up to

When I signed up I thought I was paying $for one monthAfter my credit card bill came, I saw they billed $twice a monthThey did not give me a copy of the contractSo I asked them to email me a copy of the contractI find out the are billing me $twice a month and I am obligated to pay for one yearOn the first page of the contract it says monthly amount 0$The sales person did not explain any of the billing to meOn the last page it says I am aware that my automatic billing will start on "Blank, not filled inI have talked to the manager at the facility, [redacted] and women at the Steve Nash head office and they admitt the is an error on the last page where the dates are blankThey will not cancell the membership I thought I was just going for one month because my friend was going thereAfter the month was up, I was going back to [redacted] gym where I already have a membershipMy friend was moving out of town after that so I do not want that member

I wentto steve nash times to try it out after the first time they told me I get weeks free trial and told me the cost of membership was bi weekly, fine! I paid it but canceled in the weeks and was told id get a refundi cancelled due to steve nash withdrawling $off my master card and never telling me about this so called service fee, at all! so within the weeks I called the gym and asked to cancel then a week or so later I have $dollars missing off my card unexpectedlyi called again and was told by head office that I was required to actually go into the gym to cancel but I was never told that by the gym manager on the phone at any timei talked to a few ppl from head office , from billing, [redacted] , and at the end hung up on me and told me I was saying something I never said and refused to refund any of my money they took I used the gym a total of times and paid over $for days and although I was told by [redacted] the [redacted]

I no longer wish to attend this gym [redacted] ! I let the company know, and provided information regarding an exercise and diet research program my doctor had enrolled me in because of pre-diabetes diagnosis which is ran through the Y, the gym said this was not good enough to suspend my membership, which was annoying at bestI then suffered a very bad fall resulting in a severe concussion, a very bad 1.5" cut above my eye and re-injuring a chronic hip and shoulder injuryI provided the gym with a doctors noteThey are refusing to release me from my contractI do not know when I will be fully capable of attendingAnd with this attitude from them I have absolutely no desire to attend this facility again! They call almost every day, sometimes twice a dayThey are usually very intimidating, very condescending and harassing This matter has been ongoing since early February and has to stop! [redacted]

I signed onto the website to try the free day membershipAfter my first class, I received a phone call from [redacted] the manager asking if I would like to sign upI said I would like to try a few more classesI received two calls from ***, trying to convince me to sigh upHe said I can try the gym for a month free, and if I gave him my [redacted] debit/ [redacted] number I would get the promotional rate which was expiring in daysI gave him my card info and the very next day he had debited my accountWhen I called him, he said it was a mistake and will refund itTo date , I have not received a refund, when I went to speak to him, he claimed it was refunded into my fitness world account and I can continue to use the gym for a monthI have never signed a contact with this establishment and I want my $ [redacted] backThey did take another $out of my account two weeks later and I did get that refundedI did request a copy of the phone call, so that I can prove what [redacted] said to me, as he is lyin

I joined Steve Nash Gym for a One Year Subscription on Nov16/ I spoke with one of the employees that I did not want to continue the programHe said it was okay After they sent me three bills: July/for $ July/for $ July27/for $ Furthermore I spoke with someone the phone at head officeAt that point he informed me that it was a contract and even you don't use the services you still have to payHowever when I originally signed up I was not informed of a contractThe gentleman over the phone told I have to pay it or I would have to email and dispute the charges On July28/I sent an email regarding the issue They replied to the email on July18/saying it was a contract and I have to pay itThey didn't give me an opportunity to speak with anyone about it so on August14/they sent a Collection Notice for $and it come to this

When I first signed up for a membership with Mark E [redacted] , I told him that I was going to be moving away from the Vancouver area at the end of February, and that I wanted my membership to reflect thatHe told me that it was no problem, and put a note in my file reflecting thisFast forward to April, and I noticed that I had been billed for a month and a half of memberships that I was not expecting, and most certainly did not useI called their customer support line to clear this up, and I was greeted by a extremely rude lady that told me that there was no file, and when I asked for a refund on membership that I had not used, that they had every right to bill me and they were not going to refund the moneyI asked for her manager, and she told me that there was no one for me to talk to [redacted] I was later able to go to talk to Mark E [redacted] about this, and handled the situation much betterHe re-put t
