My husband and I tried their gym for a few days, didn't like itThey called after the day trial to find out what we thought, and I very honestly told them the gym was not for us, so we would not be joiningEvery month I receive text messages, phone calls and emails from them, asking me to come and join their gymI have asked repeatedly for steve nash fitness gyms to stop contacting me, and to remove me from their databaseAt some point it becomes a bit like harassment

Gave cancellation notice at location in person after losing my home and all belongings in roof collapse and subsequent asbestos contamination and moving out of cityWas at location *** filled out what I thought was cancellation form which there is apparently no copy yet they have records I was there that dayContinued to charge a credit card I did not ever use and thus never thought to check if balance was increasing, did not contact me until credit card was no longer active and they did not receive paymentStill trying to charge me and were difficult about trying to cancel and how to contact anyone

I purchased a one-month trial Groupon for the gym, from *** which included training sessionsI was assigned a personal trainer, ***After I had the preliminary training sessions, she asked me to purchase ahead of time the next training session, which was $There was no specified date for this training sessionI was not given a receipt, and when I spoke to my lawyer, he said that the important issue is that I was not informed at any time of restrictions on such a training session, nor is anything posted on the website concerning any restrictionsDue to personal family issues, I did not attend the gym again, so I wrote at the end of the month trial period, asking for a refund for the training session I did not use*** said that she could not issue a refund, and referred me to *** manager, who would not be available until the following weekWhen I contacted him, he said that he was unable to issue a refund, but that he would offer me a

I am a permanent resident of Canada and spend months each year in Canada and months per year back in the US I walked into the Steve Nash Fitness World *** located at ***, Canada to see if I could sign up for a membership JUST for the time I would be in *** - from May 1, - November 1, I SPECIFICALLY told *** *** that I was only going to be in the country for months and he assured me that he would put me on a month to month contract and I would simply need to give them days notice when I wanted to cancel I gave that notice yesterday and received a reply that they would not honor my request because I had signed up for a year membership and needed to provide the following if I wanted them to review my contract to cancel:
Driver's license front and back indicating a recent address change
Signed rental agreement
Stamped change of address receipt from ***
Bill or statement indicating

I used to have a membership with ***I believe this location closed in ***, however it's been so long ago I can't remember the exact timeAll members were sent letters letting us know the location had closedApparently, this letter also told members Fitness World was going to be assuming all membershipsI do not recall reading this and I no longer have a copy of the letter
Without my realizing it, I have since been charged $per month (June - April) + a further $each MayThis money was being directly debited out of my account and for a majority of the time was listed as*** until July of *** when it began to appear on my online statements as SNFW FITNESS INS/ASSBecause it was such a small amount I didn't really take any notice of the ongoing chargesI assumed it had something to do with my monthly banking charge or the insurance on my accountThen today I was looking at my bank statement for May and the $charge fro

I signed a contract with Steve Nash Victoria Fitness World on May 30, in order to continue my workouts following the bankruptcy of my former gym, VI Fitness I informed the staff at Victoria Fitness World that I was not able to perform any weight exercises or cardio that involved my knees (Over the past months my legs have collapsed three times, without warning, resulting in extreme pain I have been in the care of doctors at Rebalance MD since the first fall.)
As the gym equipment was new to me, the staff advised I was entitled to a one-time introduction to the equipment with a trainer free of charge I accepted their offer Of concern, the trainer ignored what I told her re my physical limitations due to my injuries
After two days I realized I was not physically well enough to carry through with the contract I went to the gym and talked to the staff re cancelling my membership They said it was no problem All they required was a doctor's note within ten days e

I joined Steve Nash along with my mother for fitness using a personal fitness coachThey mentioned that to sign up for personal fitness sessions, we will also have to buy the gym membershipSo in total, they charged us a one time lump sum payment of $and then $on a recurring monthly basisIt was quite to our dismay, that the personal coaches conducted a very poor training scheduleAfter switching coaches, numerous complaints to the managers about the poor work ethic of their coaches, we asked to be relieved of our contract and refund of our money backHowever, we were told that the $was non refundable but after we finish the coaching sessions, we can discontinue the gym membershipWe both signed the paperwork stating cancellation of the contractHowever, little did we know the harassment that was just about to beginFrom that day on, every month Steve Nash has tried to debit the monthly payments from my bank account and both me and my mother receive a phone call

I called back in ***
I called the head office in an attempt to cancel my membership, and was told not to worryIt would be taken care ofI was so grateful because I knew I was cancelling a yearlong membership only a few months in, and I promised I would come back when I was in a better financial position, because they had been good to me when I really needed help
Fast forward to nowThe original call was never loggedI receive a bill for $The people that were so kind and understanding before will only tell me that there's nothing they can doThey can't keep their wordWhat was told to me back in *** was impossible. The only way for me to completely erase my debt is bankruptcy
It is not my fault the call was not loggedIt is not my fault that I was ***This

I've been attempting to cancel my Steve Nash membership but they have harder than it supposed to beWhen I signed up I did so because I was told I can cancel anytime by the Manager I am guessing he was trying to meet sales targetOne such incident where I was concerned is when I filed for membership freeze and paid itI had this done with the manager and later close the date I found out it was not processedLucky someone at the front desk helped me and I was able to get it done without paying againI was not even provided with a terms of membership or any such thing only invoice I could only take the managers word for itIf the manager that signed me up was still there I could have solved this but since then he has been fired from what I have been told
Over the last month I have been trying to cancel my membership with another manager and they have made it impossible to do so and difficult to communicate withVery strict and specific criteria to cancel membership and has be

HI,
I started my membership with Steve Nash over a year ago, paid the fees in advance assuming I don't need to pay any more fees
A few months later I was asked to pay an "Annual Club Enhancement fee" which apparently has been in fine print, so I reluctantly paid the fee
I asked for a way avoid the next year's fee, I was told I need to cancel my membership before the anniversary of the Annual Club Enhancement fee, which I did do May this year
But today (2016-06-09) I received another phone call***, asking me to pay Annual Club Enhancement fee again
In response I told Steve Nash employee on the phone (I have the name) that I have canceled my membership on the advise of his colleague last year specifically because I wanted to avoid this fee
He said that even though I have canceled my membership, it is still valid until a couple of months and I am liable for that fee
And I said, that's not what I wanted and I was clear about that and I cannot pay this

I was signed up to use the gym, was not given a contract but was told to signI asked what was on the computer but the employee was having some difficulties and said it's not important and he can email me laterI signed an electronic signatureI was not told of any cancellation fee of rwmaining balance nor that I was locked in for a yearI tried cancelling the membership, I never used the service even once I never received said "contract"I spoke supervisors and they said they can email me the contractRegardless, if I never received it in the first place how would I know I was unable to cancelI never once returned back to said facility and I would like a refund on the servicesI was refused both refund and cancellation and was told to pay the years remaining balance which adds upto $500+

CONSTANT HARASSMENT

In September of 2015, I had to cancel my membership with Steve Nash Fitness World at *** for medical reasonsI provided the required medical proof *** to the branch location at *** and they said that it will be processed in weeks and I may be billed for OctoberI was indeed billed for October but when November rolled around and I was billed for another month I did not use at NashI went to the branch location at *** and they referred me to Head OfficeI called and Emailed Head Office and they said that the name on my Medical Treatment slip, which was my legal name did not match with the name on my contract, which is my preferred nameThey also claim that they had tried to contact me many times within the time I cancelled my membership in September to November when I contacted them about me being billed againWhen I signed the contract with Steve Nash Fitness World, I provided them wit

Several Complaints
The Cambie location found me in the mall and offered me a 7day trail***, she said my school had a student discount and I should come see herShe also asked if I had any friends and I invited my friend ***
We did a tour of the facility and immediately after we were brought into a room, they closed the door and started explaining how they workThey showed us pricing and then I was informed that my school didn't qualify for a discountThe manager was then called in and explained if I used my friend's credit card, I could be classified as a family planI asked about cancelations then because I didn't feel comfortable being pressured to use someone else's card and Lorinder advised I only needed to provide days notice to cancelWe weren't given any contracts to read and things weren't explained wellMy friend really wanted this so we both signed up and they scheduled our personal training dateWe later found out they s

In early *** my wife and I became joined the Steve Nash Fitness *** location In *** we decided to discontinue our membership We had not signed a contract, nor were we ever given a contractual agreement We only signed the electronic pad authorizing pre-authorized withdrawls for the agreed upon monthly amount for our membership
However, when we requested to terminate our contract with the manager, ***, and gave a full one months notice, their records showed that my wife was on a month-month basis, however I was signed up for a one year contract with them
*** investigated and agreed to honour the termination ***I met *** at the location and signed the documentation confirming the termination of the contract
Now in *** two payments were withdrawn from my bank account by Steve Nash Fitness, and when I called to inquire as to why, the new manager,*** claimed they had no record of the termination and that their records show that my

I wentto steve nash times to try it out after the first time they told me I get weeks free trial and told me the cost of membership was bi weekly, fine! I paid it but canceled in the weeks and was told id get a refundi cancelled due to steve nash withdrawling $off my master card and never telling me about this so called service fee, at all! so within the weeks I called the gym and asked to cancel then a week or so later I have $dollars missing off my card unexpectedlyi called again and was told by head office that I was required to actually go into the gym to cancel but I was never told that by the gym manager on the phone at any timei talked to a few ppl from head office , from billing, ***, and at the end hung up on me and told me I was saying something I never said and refused to refund any of my money they took I used the gym a total of times and paid over $for days and although I was told by *** the ***

I absolutely find Steve Nash business practice to be inconsistent with others in their fieldA lack of transparency and honesty is totally missing from their attributes
My spouse and I joined and of course no fault of the company we couldn't find the time to go to the gymWe indicated that we would eventually be relocating out of the geographical radius that would allow for automatic cancellation and was told we needed to submit proof of relocationWell like any other move, we got busy in the process
We had telephone calls with representatives and was told of the requirements needed for cancellation
The thing I find worrying is that, we haven't used their facility or services for over six months and they have no flexibility for understanding our positionAnyway, we have decided to finally write a letter, as is instructed, but we were told that in the interim (days) we will be billed
This I find really appallingI trust others do their research before joining because their policy is more like a straight jacket than any other
I must caveat to say the personal trainer we had was very professional and well trained in his craft--the business practice however needs total revamping

I no longer wish to attend this gym***!
I let the company know, and provided information regarding an exercise and diet research program my doctor had enrolled me in because of pre-diabetes diagnosis which is ran through the Y, the gym said this was not good enough to suspend my membership, which was annoying at bestI then suffered a very bad fall resulting in a severe concussion, a very bad 1.5" cut above my eye and re-injuring a chronic hip and shoulder injuryI provided the gym with a doctors noteThey are refusing to release me from my contractI do not know when I will be fully capable of attendingAnd with this attitude from them I have absolutely no desire to attend this facility again!
They call almost every day, sometimes twice a dayThey are usually very intimidating, very condescending and harassing This matter has been ongoing since early February and has to stop!***
