Student Loan Aid Reviews (238)

Review: They called me to help me with my Parent Plus Loan. I had asked for assistance with Fed Loan Financing, so I thought that was why they were calling me. They called me while I was out of town, and I was on the phone several times that day. They debited $303 as an initial payment, then $154 per month. After the first payment, I felt uneasy because the phone number the lady called me from was from Long Beach Roofing Company ([redacted], the website wouldn't work, and the ACH they debited from my account looked generic. The phone was always busy. I want to cancel completely because I believe they are fraudulent. They have ALL of my personal info, they even changed the account info on my original loan website without my knowledge. None of the $303 I paid has been applied to my loan. I want out COMPLETELY, they are dishonest!Desired Settlement: Please resolve this ASAP!!! I am in the process of trying to buy my first home, and this is making me sick to my stomach because I feel they are going to steal my identity. Now I have to change my bank accounts.

Review: My wife and I started services with Student Loan Aid on 8/18/14 after hearing they would help us have a lower monthly payment on our student loans. On 8/27/14 they withdrew $349 from my bank account for my wife [redacted]. On 9/10 they withdrew $198.00 for my account as an initial payment. After the initial payment there was no withdraw in September of both accounts. I called over 10 times to Customer Service with no answer during business hours. I left countless VM that were unreturned. I then notified my bank of a possible fraud and threatened to close my account. Only then did I get a return call from a guy named [redacted]. I explained that I wanted to close my account and explained my concerns. I stated that I wanted to close my account at least 5 times and [redacted] persuaded me to keep my account open. I was told that the patent process would be fixed however it has not. [redacted] explained that they were having problems with there payment processor. I agreed to stay on and was billed again on 10/29 for my wires account for $267.14. Again in November when my payment was due it was not taken out on the 6th. I again called with no responses. I am so fed up with this company and would like a full refund of my payments as they did not follow through with my payments, have not been available for customer service help, website is inaccurate with information and services have not been what this company has promoted. They have intimidating staff that don't care about there customers only making a buck. I am still concerned that this company is a fraud!Desired Settlement: I want a refund of the $814.14 paid to this company, all my wife's and my own personal deleted, my contract deleted and account closed.

This company is a scam! Without a doubt the worst thing I got myself into. One year ago I got the call, and needless to say, after paying 12 months.. To God knows where my money is.. I am still no further ahead than I was a year ago. As a matter of fact, I am worse off, because I have accrued one year of interest. My latest phone call was 30 minutes ago.. And surprise, the man I needed to talk to was at lunch (even though they close in 1 1/2 hours). Wow. I'm actually speechless and so beyond frustrated at this pathetic excuse for a company. I hope people can read this and take it from me and all the other bad reviews...DO NOT GET MIXED UP WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!! I did, and I lost over $600.

Review: I have been trying to contact Student Loan Aid regarding my consolidation loan. I have been still receiving notices from my previous lender that I am overdue. I have contacted Student Loan Aid previously and I was told they would be rectifying the situation and call me back. I haven't received any phone calls and the situation has still not changed.Desired Settlement: I would like to cancel my services. I would also like a refund of the $865.07 That I have paid to Student Load Aid since 10/2014. I want my information removed from their system so I do not have anymore money taken from my bank account.

Review: This company promised to cut my student loan payment by almost $200 a month. In part because I am a state government employee, which they said the program was good as long as I was employed with state government for 10 years. Their deal is we just pay the loan amount and at the end of ten years, as long as I was still employed by the government, the interest would be forgiven, the government just wanted to recover the actual loan money. We got a bill for two months payment from the student loan company. All these people did was file a forbearance, their program I'm afraid is a sham. I've left message and was supposed to get a call back 'in a few minutes' but of course that didn't happen and I've yet to receive a call back. And after reading other reviews, others have had the same issues, yet they still try and take out the money, they've had several complaints against them. Basically, they didn't change anything, they just filed a forbearance and now we are in bad standing with ACS, when that wasn't the case before these people lied to us.Desired Settlement: A refund of the payment and for them to stop collecting the money, they obviously lied to us and can't deliver on what they promised.

Review: I was contacted a month ago by [redacted] with Student Loan Aid who offered to help with the consolidation of my loans and possibly forgive up to a certain amount. At the time I didn't know of the credibility so I waited. Later on I discovered if I didn't try to deal with my loan situation it would hurt me economically so I called them back for help. I didn't get [redacted] at the number she provided for me, instead I got [redacted] who claimed to be one of the "Floor managers" I should've seen the red flag when they asked for my SSN over the phone. [redacted] then walked me through an 8 or 9 page contract that they wanted me to e-sign -- upon me showing skepticism about the entire process and them not being able to give me an accurate amount that I owed [redacted] got pushy stating "You came to us for help, you don't have to agree to the service but we just want to help" giving me the "take it or leave it"-line in order to guilt me into enrolling, and sure enough I fell for it. After he read the disclosure agreement and finished the phone process there was something that just didnt seem right about this program so I looked past the Revdex.com "B"-level rating that they had and read up on some of the customer complaints. After reading the complaints I then tried to cancel the processing of my application and sure enough It is as hard as they say. I cannot get a real person on the phone to send me a cancellation of service confirmation for the life of me. I have spoken with three different reps. One of which was from the processing dept and did not want to give her full name besides Rosanna L. I explained that I just gave their firm my SSN along with other sensitive information and once again demanded a full name but did not get one. Whenever I try to get through to the cancellation dept. I get a "dead end" service hotline which nobody answers nor do they return my calls. I am still within the 14 day cancellation period and I need help expediting this.HELP!Desired Settlement: An email confirmation stating that they have cancelled the processing of my application is ideal. I would also like for them to dispose of my personal information never to be used to draw money from my bank account EVER. The person I spoke with claimed to be Sr. Underwriter [redacted] ###-###-#### who claimed he will be my point of contact. He has disregarded my request to stop the service and is still sending processing email as a means to continue the processing of my paperwork. I need this to seize immediately.

We have received the client's complaint from the Revdex.com this afternoon 11/19, I saw he had signed up on 11/17 at 4:14 pm and then the same day at 4:56 pm, he had called into cancel.

Review: These people represented themselves in a false manner, didn't mention their consolidation fees and preyed on me to obtain my FAFSA pin. I've contacted them to cancel via email multiple times and had to have my bank account changed. Trying to sort this out now through my student loan provider. I want a cancellation letter in writing and written affirmation that my sensitive information/SSN weren't compromised before I involve and attorney. Their website doesn't even work. This company is a fraud/SCAM.Desired Settlement: A letter in writing stating cancellation and that my SSN hasn't been compromised ASAP.

Review: On July 25th, 2014 I signed up for what I thought was a way to reduce my student loan debt with Studentloanaid.us. The company required a $300.00 initial deposit and then a monthly fee of $81.90 that had to be directly removed from my checking account electronically on a reoccurring basis. I was required to provide my Bank information, routing information and account number. I was also required to provide my Social Security Number. Over the past few months I have been receiving delinquency notices from my original student loan company stating I was past due on my payments. I began calling Studentloanaid.us at the number listed on their website, however I never reached a live person, I was only able to leave voice messages requesting they contact me. I left numerous messages but have never heard back from anyone. Now when I go to www.studentloanaid.us and select "Contact" the web page displays a 404 error message that the page does not exist.

This company has been taking my money and I am not even sure what service they are providing and I am fearful that I have fallen for a scam. I called my original loan company and they confirmed my account has been past due for months and they have received no payment. I thankfully was able to make payments before my credit score was affected. I called my bank today and they informed me their policy was to close the account and open a new one. I have had this account for 10 years and now I have to get a new credit card and checking account.

As of today, Studentloanaid.us has removed 1 (one) payment of $300.00 on 8/25/14 and 1 (one) payment of $81.90 on 10/1/14. No further charges has been made to my account as of today.Desired Settlement: I will consider this matter resolved when:

1. The $381.90 that I have been charged by Studentloanaid.us has been refunded to me and whatever "contract" I might have is null and void. I have a new checking account now thanks to this debacle and I am certainly not sharing it with this company, so it would need to be mailed.

2. All record of my banking account, social security number, and address/phone number and other P.I.I. be removed from Studentloanaid.us's systems once my refund has been issued and secured.

Review: This company if it is not a scam has sent me two refund checks that within 48 hours has kicked back as NSF which means Insufficient funds.I have been to my bank and they dont want to deal with this so called company. I am repeatedly calling and get their voice mail. This has caused my account to be in the red and the bank can't help me. Do I file a report with the ploice or seek an attorney.

They have two address's that I have found in newport beach California and three different phone numbers to which if called you get the same recording. We as students are trying to pay our student loans and not have people rip us off! I hope that everyone who is hving the same problem we can all band together and nail these people.Desired Settlement: My bank told me to insist from them a cashiers check for my refund. Obviously their electronic checks or fake.

The outcome is I want my money back, I am homeless and my husband is a veteran and we need every penny

To eat and find shelter. We are both in school and this was a sure fire way for me to decreaase my payment. We just

Want our money back

Hard to get in touch with them, website was basic and could not change pass word. Asked for stop payment and they continued to try to remove payments from my account. They also tried closing another account claiming to be me.

This company was great ! They helped me with my loan and I was able to get my payments 60% lower!!!

Review: I consolidated my loans with Student Loan Aid almost a year ago. Although I could have done this for free, I paid them about $500 to take care of paying off the current debt to my loan servicer and to file all the paperwork for a special government program. Fast forward to now and I check a previous email account. the OLD loan servicer is telling me my loans are over due. How is this even possible, they don't service my loans? Well, I have been paying $400/month to SLA all the while they never got the pay off quote from the original servicer! They will not answer the phone, return my emails, nothing. I called at least 6 times today and left messages each time. What kind of a business doesn't answer the phone? I literally paid them $500 to do nothing and now I am stuck with PAST DUE LOANS and who knows how much interested was added on. This is absolutely ridiculous. People said I was nuts for paying for this service but I did it anyway because I trusted they would handle the paper work better than I could. Now, I'm totally screwed and nobody will answer my calls. HELP!Desired Settlement: I don't want anything to do with this company. Even if it was an honest mistake, I don't trust them. I want my $500 back. Using this company actually COST me money. Incredibly upset right now.

Review: I feel that I was mislead into a program that I never signed up for. This company also violated the law by Signing me up for a FSA Username an Password which I did not give them permission to do. They also withdrew $275.00 from my Checking Account without my permission. I was lied to an told my initial payment was going towards the balance that was currently owed against my federal loans. I then contacted Fedloan at which point in time I was told there was no cost to consolidate an have my loans put into an IBR Program an that the company was a scam. I then called the company an demanded a full refund an to cancel my account they signed me up for. I was transferred to a manager who then told me they would cancel my file but would not refund my payment.Desired Settlement: Not only do I want a full refund, I also want someone held accountable for there miss information as well as there Criminal acts for signing me up with a FSA ID an Password. This is 100% illegal an states that on the NSLDS website.

After paying Student Loan Aid a total of $563.30 (including a $495 "down payment"), I learned that they have not made any payments toward my student loans. I

got a message

from the Revdex.com

with the client's compliant

today, 10/8/2014, and I did not see she had called in to our company

after she signed up on Aug 22, 2014.

I was contacted twice by a company called Student Loan Aid. The first time I went through all the details about my loans and said I qualified for loan forgiveness. I was transferred to a finance counselor and had to repeat the same information again and then when I asked how the program worked he hung up on me. Then I was contacted a month later by the same company asking for my information again. When I told him my information should already be logged in the system because I had been previously contacted he said there are many different companies that go by Student Load Aid and since each loan aid program is handled by a different "Student Loan Aid" company I would have to supply my information again. This did not make me feel very secure. When I told him that it didn't make sense and I was uneasy about supplying my info he responded with "did you know your loan balance keeps going up?" and I told him that is why I have been paying the interest and he became very rude and abrupt and said "that's fine, if you don't want to reduce your loans and keep paying a high interest rate I'll just move on to the next person who does." and then hung up.

Review: This Student aid help is a scam with the research. They con me with stating that they'll help me with my loan and change all my personal information. They changed my federal loan account. I was able to change my federal account back but I will never get my identity back. They target the weak and desperate who needs to pay off their student loan and they achieve that by taking my SSN and DOB and Driver's licence.Desired Settlement: Close this scam business down so no one else will ever go through this.

We have already spoken to Ms. [redacted] and addressed all of her concerns, She was upset due to the fact that she was still able to access her online account through our Website. Which she only had access to by Creating a Username and Password. When we spoke she explained to me that she did not feel comfortable with her information still being on the Web Site and I did assure her that it would be taken care of and removed permanently. Client did call us back and stated that she would contact the Revdex.com and let you know that the situation has been Resolved.

When I got a call from these people 3 months ago back in September, I had already gotten calls from other companies who would tell me I could get loan forgiveness and all I had to do was make a down payment of $699. It made me uneasy because it sounded too good to be true and the down payment felt like a scam.

However when I spoke with [redacted], from student loan aid, she put me at ease when she detailed the process. She explained the programs available to me and actually got me a shorter term than Great Lakes had for me. And recently I got a letter from my lender that states all my loans are paid in full. Also got a summary of my consolidated loans from student loan aid.

Wanted to share how my experience has been and I cant thank enough my agent and what they were able to do for me.

Thats my 2cents

Also I didnt have to make a huge down payment like a car note to get the help!
