A representative of SLS mislead me to believe I would be receiving help with my student loan forgiveness but I was never informed that this process could be done for freeI was initially contacted by a representative named *** *** back in December That particular day he urged me to follow through by paying $so the consolidation would beginI was also asked to send in an income reportI was told that a fee of $would be debited from my account monthly to go towards my loan paymentsMy account was debited in two payments of $on January 19, and February 1, and once in January 13, for $The issue is that I was never told that my consolidation can be done without charges and monthly feesI found this out when I contacted Nelnet and the U.SDepartment of Education on February 23, They both informed me that this was a student loan scam and I shouldn't have been charged for this processThey also informed me that NO payments had been made

I have spoken with SLS and there claims to have tried to reach me via email are falseThe phone number they tried to reach me on had been changed since 2014, and there were absolutely NO attempts made to reach me via email for me to provide an updated contact numberThe ONLY emails I have received was to refer friends and family, advertisements on ways they can better serve me, and to complete my paperwork to renew my income based payment plansALL of which I had done while still unaware of the delinquent payments falling further behind for my FED loansWhen I contacted FED loans about the issue I was informed that they had no way to contact me because SLS had changed my address, phone number and email address to their (SLS) informationTo make matters worse all of the emails that SLS sent me for day to day advertising should have been a forethought as opposed to the TOP priority in emailing me to update the phone number on fileI have every email every recieved from SLS and NONE of them state they had been trying to reach me to update my informationWhen I spoke to *** *** from SLS his reason for changing my information with FED loans was to protect me for the burden of harassing calls!! This is an absolutely ridiculous excuse for fraudulently changing my informationIf anything SLS has only increased my burden because now I have delinquent student loan paymentsFor a company that is supposed to be working on the best interest of their customers, SLS has done a POOR jobIf you are going to represent me then at least due your due diligence in providing me with the best services you can ie, like getting in touch with me to make my student loan payments

Client signed on with SLS on
2/23/2015, at which time
it was explained to Client that all services can be
performed by Client without paid assistanceClient also signed the attached
pre-Client Agreement which also repeats, “You can apply for loan consolidation,
without paid assistance through the Department of Education (DOE), but you are
choosing to use SLS services to assist you prepare and process the
consolidation and repayment option application paperwork for programs offered
by the DOE.”
This information is again
repeated in the Client Agreement, on the Important Information page which
states, “All of the services provided by SLS can be performed using resources
provided at no cost by the DOE without paid assistance if Student has the time
and energy to learn the procedures and to obtain, complete and submit the
paperwork necessary to do soServices provided by SLS are private, optional
and not required to be used.” Client initialed next to this section indicating
that she read and understood
SLS was able to successfully
gather all necessary information and prepare Client’s consolidation paperwork
Client’s consolidation completed on 3/28/Client chose the Income Based
Repayment program offered by the DOE, which offers forgiveness of the remaining
balance after completion of the year repayment termIt was explained to
Client that she may qualify for loan forgiveness if she makes qualifying
payments over the year repayment term under IBR
We apologize for any confusion
Client may have experienced, unfortunately, because the information was clearly
explained and Client signed the pre-Client Agreement Acknowledgment, as well as
the Client Agreement reiterating that the consolidation application processing
services we offer can be done by Client without paid assistance, a refund
cannot be issued

I originally contacted this company via phone back in May They claimed to be a consolidation company affiliated with the Department Of Education They stated they could provide services and assist me with my current student loans that my actual student loan provider could not I paid them an initial "fee" of broken up into payments between August, October, and November of (200.00, 197.50, 197.50) Then continuing "service fees" monthly for which began in December My loans were then consolidated with the actual company *** *** *** and are not affiliated with the third party company which I discovered in April Per a representative, *** *** *** provides the same services at no charge that Student Loan Service claimed *** *** *** could not do So Student Loan Service took in "service fees" over the last years, charging me for a service they claim I could only get through them and not my actual student loan compan

I had a similar problem to the person who posted 9/11/ I have put in writing and a phone call, stop removing the 39.00/month I switched to another legitimate agency But for the past year they are still taking out 39/mo I cannot get them to stop this payment They have done nothing for me! Actually because I rectified through them, I got a withdrawal for my student loan today So from 49.00/mo to This is because it was never re-certified

This agency promised to complete all aspects connected to application for student loan forgiveness The agency guaranteed the loan would be forgiven
The agency had the land consolidated with a different lender but completed the incorrect paper wot for the lan forgiveness program I had to complete it myself
Failed to fulfill the contractual obligations

SLS completed the renewal application for Client's Pay As You Earn repayment programClient does not qualify for a refund as SLS successfully completed Client's consolidation and PAYE repayment program application, and renewal application for the 2015-yearClient's SLS account has been cancelled as of 11/10/per her request, and all future debits to SLS have been terminatedSLS advises that Client will need to monitor her repayment plan and future renewals with her loan servicer on her own, and assures Client that we will not contact her unless requested

placed his loans on a forbearance until 6/30/Client requested cancellation of SLS services on 6/30/Because Client cancelled services with SLS on 6/30/16, SLS did not request extension of his forbearance with FedLoan and halted SLS's document preparation of his IBR renewalWhen Client's forbearance ended on 6/30/16, Client was automatically placed in the Standard repayment plan by FedLoanSLS can assist Client to prepare a renewal and forbearance with FedLoan if he wishes to return as a client, or he will need to do this on his own

I have been paying for years and three monthsI have to do all my work that needed to be doneI had to refile for loan forgiveness by myself and other paper workI have made every payment to this company to do this for meI want all my money back at every month for the last months{1093.00}
