Dear Ms ***,
We are sorry to hear of your experience with Reid, he does not work for Student
Loan Service (SLS). He works at *** *** *** *** *** ***. SLS is the processing company for
GSDR and are the company that
clarified exactly what the program entailsWe have requested all enrollment calls from GSDR so we can research your enrollment experience. We are very sorry to hear your boarding process was a negative one, but SLS has put many hours into your file. Please see the chain of events since you executed our agreement:4/- You called and spoke to SLS requesting a new debit date of 6/in amount of $(call recorded)6/- New Payment Date secured and SLS begun prepping your .gov application for submission. Application sent to client with voice mail.We had unsuccessful contact with you until 7/when you emailed saying the documents would be sent back to us shortly. We then had unsuccessful contact with you until you sent this email on 8/18:From: *** [mailto:***] Sent: Tuesday, August 18, 2015 4:44 PMTo: *** ***Subject: Re: Student Loan Services Promissory forms for NOE *** requires your attentionHi ***, Tried calling you earlier but got a voicemail. Spoke to a different representative instead. The program was not described to me the same way it was described the first time I spoke to your team. Please cancel my account. I don't want to proceed with this program. The last payment was withdrawn on 7/28/2015. There shouldn't be any further withdraws coming from you guys going forward. Sent from my iPhone*** *** At no point did you request a refund, you simply asked to cancel the program. This is a voluntary program, so we processed your request in a timely manner and turned off any future debits. We would be very happy to continue to work on your consolidation, we do, however need you to play an active role. The Pay as You Earn program is great, it bases your monthly payment on 10% of discretionary income and you must re apply annually. After years of on time payments, any balance that is remaining will be forgiven (based on the guidelines drawn up by the Dept of Edu)- years if you work in Public Service. Assuming the Adjusted Gross Income that you provided us is accurate, your first year payment will only be $11.38. If your income doesn't increase the following year (when SLS reapplies for you), your payment will remain the same, if you make less than your payment may go down! It is unfortunate that you have decided to cancel our program, since we offer such a valuable service. Unfortunately, since time and effort was put into your file, you do not qualify for a refund but we would be more than happy to welcome you back to our program. Please advise.*** ***Student Loan Service

Client needs to review SLS response again, clearly stated that a full refund will be given. See below: "That said, SLS
will agree to refund the client in full but it is important to
understand that SLS did nothing wrong, all services had been rendered
per the agreement".*** ***Student Loan Service

On Aug 26th I spoke with a rep from Student Loan Svcs (*** ***) who offered me this great program where she says that I could go on an income based repayment plan and after paying this lesser amount of for years my student loans would be forgiven She said I had to be "approved" for the program I asked her if this was guaranteed and she said it was I was told I was being charged a setup fee and another which I broke up into two payments on the 9/and 9/ She explained that I would be receiving documents in the mail shortly As time went on I received nothing but my cc was charged the I started to research the company and found that many people filed complaints against the company because what they were guaranteeing was actually not true They were promising and charging for something that they could not deliver since the individuals income would most certainly increase over the next years they would most likely not be eligible for any

I recently had Student Loan Service (SLS) as my primary contact for student loan repaymentI cancelled the contract with SLS after getting a better deal with a different providerAt no time did I give them permission to release any information to FedLoans, or contact them myself that I was no longer in a income based repayment program
Subsequent to the letters and e-mail to SLS of the cancellation, I started receiving request for full payment from FedLoans the holder of my accountI contacted my new vendor and they have advised me that they have not contacted FedLoans either and they should not have me in repayment status
I have come to the conclusion, because they've had access to the account prior to cancellation, SLS has fraudulently gave information to FedLoans to reactivate my account into a full payment statusThis is fraud at it's bestSince the cancellation with SLS my account is again considered in an active status without my permissionI want to know how it was r

I contacted Student loan services do to more information on the Student Loan dept forgivenessI have a loan that I could not make payments for as I for many year have tried to build a business for myself and my income did not exceed my pay out and needed help
I was told that for a fee they would consolidate my loan and keep it at a 0%interest rate for months wow what a great deal so I processed the paper work paid my fee I have to have loaned to me and had a weight lifted off my shouldersso I thought
Student loan services took $ out of my account I was under the impressing that that was going towards my loan! I received my statement from fed loans and not payment was posted?
I then called to see what was going on I was told by student loan services that the 49$ was a service fee, for what I asked? they said it was to keep my loan for inquiring interest while on the program I then was very upset and felt lied to they assured me that if I canceled my service tha

SLS sent an e-mail to Client asking her to verify her address for the refundShe did not respondSLS will issue the refund to the address listed in the complaint

When I was first considering signing up with this company to consolidate my student loans, I was sold a certain sales pitchI was given a ball park number of what my monthly payments would be to the US Dept of Education based on my income and family sizeAlso, I was told that the monthly fee charged by SLS would be lumped into the amount I would be paying to FedLoan each month ($39) and that all but $ would go to the pricipal amount owed towards my loansAll of this information was untrue and was not discovered until I paid them a $ start up fee to consolidate all my loans and submit basic forms on my behalf to FedLoanNot only is the $fee each month NOT lumped into my Fedloan payment, but no part of it is contributed to my outstanding principle owed to the US Dept of Education
Everytime I have reached out to "my represenative" (they changed without my knowledge almost every time I reached out) I would not get a responseOn one particular occasion I had to send ema

They have been taking out of my account and I have tried to contact them several times and can't get thru as to why they are taking money out when student loan services are not servicing the loan Navient is servicing the loan

I was told by this company that they would forgive my student loan debtFor $split up into payments, they said they would take my debt from current $13,to $3,and I would pay them a service fee of $per month to do itIt is not possible to forgive this amount, they do not have the power to do that but I was not aware of thisI made the payments totaling $and then a fee of $came out of my accountThey said this is their processing feeThen said $of the fee would go toward my loans and the rest would be to them for their feeI then talked to FedLoan, where my loan is now, and they let me know that I got scammedThat everything Student Loan Service did for me, could've been done for freeThey also let me know that it is illegal for them to do that to me and they gave me the number to file a complaint on them

Consolidation was never completed and now loans are in defaultNever received any notice

When I enrolled in this program I was clearly told my loan would be forgiven after two yearsI was advised the $per month fee was for "power of attorney" which was required in order to process the loan for "forgiveness".
