I am rejecting this response because: (there was not a 3rd option) I want to first thank Target for being respectful to meThe option I was looking for is that this is opposite than you are probably used to seeingMost of the time when it comes to a check issue, you may be telling someone they owe you and they disagreeBUT in my situation, you are telling me its paid and I don't think it is, but I don't want to just close this as an oversight and then months down the road I get a nasty letter from our prosecuting attorney wondering why this wasn't paid, so I am trying to keep on this for me and youI checked with my bank and it never showed up thereI have been to the local 'Target trying to pay this, my mom went for me, and Iver tried time over the phoneI don't know what else to doWhat if I write it off as paid and then for some weird reason you get it in a few weeks? How can we meet in the middle with this? submitted, an order acknowledgement email is sent, which includes the order details along with an estimated tax amountTarget strives to provide the estimated tax amount as accurate as possible, but the final tax amount could be a little bit more or less, based on the origin, local and county tax adjustmentsTarget puts a pre-authorization hold on our guest’s payments to reserve the funds to ensure that the funds are available when the order ships, but Target doesn’t charge our guest’s payment methods until the item is shipped or picked up. In her situation, I show that when her order was submitted on 11/02/2016, Target placed a hold on her Visa Card for the amount of $including the estimated tax amount of $Each pre-authorization hold has a 7-day expiration time frameWith that being said, the original pre-authorization hold will be expired on the 7th day from the hold date, which will be 11/09/at midnight in her caseThe visa systems would be designed to expire pending transactions when the payee’s system is expired, but there are certain banks or card issuers would have different terms and agreements with their customersIf the bank issuers decide to keep the pre-authorization transactions longer then that is out of the payee’s control.Target normally calculates sales tax based on where the item is shipped to, but there are situations where certain states have an origin based tax calculationThis means that the tax rate collected is based on the origin location where the item is shipped from and not the destination addressMissouri is one of those states that has an origin based state for tax calculation. ***’s order contains two shipments:• Shipment 1: contains two items that were shipped from our store at *** *** ***, Columbia, MO 65203-4616, where tax rate is charged 8.48% and she was charged $for this shipment including sales tax.• Shipment 2: contains one item that was shipped from *** * *** ** *** Burnsville, MN where tax rate is charged 7.12% and she was charged $for this shipment including sales tax.• Her actual total charges for the order was adding up to $Rest assured, she only been charged for this amount.After ***’s order was shipped and invoiced, the additional charged of $was for the different sales tax rates calculated based on the ship from locations, when the original estimated sales tax amount was calculated based on her shipping address, which is only charged 6.98% tax rate for her location. I was unable to get in contact with the store manager today as he was out of the store todayI forgot to state in the call that I did dispute it with my bank, although they then recommended I place a stop payment on it as it was still pendingI received a call from Target collections due to this, and was told if I allowed it to go through and still disputed it, that it would still go to Target collectionsEither way, I still loseI've been through a lot of grief over something that seems to be impossible to resolve with anyone at TargetIf you could get in contact with the Target store directly, maybe they'll listen to corporate more than they're willing to listen to meI won't make a trip there for nothing, as the store is a bit further than my liking with no guarantee of a resolution once there
