FOLLon my original complaint on 4/12/Construction started on May 23, 2017, with a completion date of June 20, for the house sidingThen about week or so to complete the rest of the work, now we are on Aug 18, The house siding is still not completed and the last time the workers came by was around June 28, I called and e-mailed *** *** and *** several times, to be given the same answer that they are trying to get someone out here to finish the jobNow going on two months and tired of calling just to be given the same storyI have e-mailed Edward *** on Aug 2, if they are abandoning the job since they are not calling me nor coming by to work on my projectMr*** did responded pretty fast and stated that he will come by to look at the work first part of next weekStill nothing… My family & I have been inconvenience long enough without our patio cover and siding boards on the patio, making it unusableI have given ample time for this amount of work to be completedAccommodating to their workers schedule, placement of supplies & equipment around my yard, so I don’t see any reason why it should be taking this longStephens Roofing & Remodeling has several excellent reviews and rated A- on Revdex.com, one of the main reasons I choose this companyI don’t know if maybe they stepped out of their area of expertise which is roofing and took on a project that they are unfamiliar with on installing Hardie boards sidingI don’t want to started looking for another company to finish the job, I know we signed a contract but we both have a responsibility that we need to honor and abide by, to include maintaining good communications if they are delaying the workI know when it’s time to pay they will expect for me to make payment once the project is completed.Translate selectDesired Outcome:I would like for Stephens Roofing & Remodeling to finish the job but will need a statement when the project will be completed and options if not, ASAPI’m no longer waitingTexas heat is killing me and the stress is too much

the warranty paperwork has been sent out since May of but we are happy to send out again ? you ask us to replace the perimeter drip edge , I am agreeing to replace it we agreed to and paid your initial requested dollar settlement amount for the decking and other items you listed , I do not understand the demand for more money ?please help me understand what we can do to resolve this ?Revdex.com, I ask for your help as well ..thank you

I am rejecting this response because:The facts of the issue are as follows:I was told by Mr*** that the manufacturer would call me AND come out to my home to inspect the damageNeither of which happenedWhen I tried for weeks to reach Mr*** for an update he did not call me back until I threatened to call the Revdex.comMy insurance comany reached out to Stephen's Roofing to go over their reason and findings for the damage, but Stephen's never repsonded to themThey had documentation of their findings to compare and discuss but never received a response.I have received nothing but excuses from Stephen's Roofing, it's unfortunate that a company that size is not willing to stand by their work nor their word. Again, I will keep this complaint open until thre is a resolution with my insurance company

I am not understanding the reason for rejecting that we would contact Mr *** about his roof and patio ..??

I am rejecting this response because: once again the company made promises they couldn't keep A worker by the name *** came to my house October 4th, as they stated on the previous message After looking at the job and materials, *** stated they couldn't do the work because it was too much work for the quote Mr*** gave me He stated that instead of doing the work, he would bring me the itemized receipt Mr*** gave them from Home Depot to see if the material could be refunded He confirmed they company was able to retain Mr***' paycheck *** left and few hours later he called me to tell me they were that he was bringing me a check for the full $as I had initially requested and they would take the material Mr*** bought to do the job *** went on to say all of this wasn't my fault and I shouldn't have to worry about having that material in my yard due to their employees' fault *** stated he would deliver the check shortly Once again I waited and waited to no avail He never showed up Today, October 5th, I stayed home all day hoping he would keep his word and nothing I haven't been able to go to work, run my errands or go grocery shopping because I've spent numerous days at home hoping this company would keep their word As of now, October 5th 10:45PM, the company has done nothing to resolve the issue

I am rejecting this response because: You have my phone number yet have refused to contact me to come out and begin to honor your warranty. Please post a copy of my warranty to this site as I have posted a copy of your contract. You have sent me a copy of your year warranty but refused to send me a copy of my lifetime warranty with the manufacturer as I have requested from you in writing many times. I have paid you over thousand dollars and you have never provided me the warranty with the manufacturer. Please honor your contract by providing me a copy of my manufacturers lifetime warranty. You also are refusing to address the warped decking you failed to replace. You can replace that part of the roof and decking or provide a written warranty for the warped decking. I am being reasonable at this time only asking that you honor your contract you drafted to me. Regards,*** ***

Mr *** , *** went out personally to give you the refund you requested It is our standard procedure to have customers that receive any refunds sign off on receiving the agreed refunds so that these issues do not rise again like they are now I am sure that the company you work for also
has standard policies and procedures that you must follow as well. Thank you for your understanding of our standard policies and procedures please let us know when we can set up a time and day to finalize this agreement..Thank you

I'm confused Mr [redacted] ? My office called me and told me you and I have a meeting already set for tomorrow Thursday 4/13/17 at 3 pm per your request . I also never once said I wouldn't fix the issues , please let's not take a negative approach to this because it is my experience that negative approaches end with negative results .see you tomorrow 4/13/17 at 3pm thank you

the manufactures rep stated that because it was a flood situation that they would not cover it . the structure was built according to manufactures specs .the time frame this happened to the patio there was flooding rains that did cause damage throughout san antonio and I know the insurance realizes this and that is why they covered to have the patio re done . if there is any way we at Stephens Roofing can be of help please do not hesitate to call us ..  Thank You

I am rejecting this response because: I still have not received a copy of the limited lifetime warranty for my roof.  I picked up a letter from you today that indicates my roof has a 5 year warranty from you.  I have included a copy of your contract that you provided to me.  I complied with the contract as I paid immediately in full for a new roof with limited lifetime warranty.  As of today you have not honored your contract.   I provided a copy of your contract for the Revdex.com to review.  Please note it indicates clearly LTD lifetime manufacturers warranty.  Full roof replacement.  New drip edge.  Allot 2 sheets rotten decking.  I have requested many times for my LTD lifetime manufacturers warranty information to provide to my insurance company.  Please upload a copy of my warranty on this site for me and the Revdex.com to review.  I did not pay over 15 thousand for a roof with a 5 year warranty.  We have seen what your warranty is worth as I have been waiting nearly 6 months for you to comply.  My phone number has not changed and I have only received one phone call from your office since I notified the Revdex.com of this issue and they indicated I would be getting a call back soon from a representative.  I have been waiting for weeks with no calls or messages from your office.  I am only requesting you honor your contract.  1) provide me with the written LTD lifetime manufactures warranty paperwork for my roof  2) replace the drip edge with the correct one for my roof type 3) replace the 2 sheets of decking or provide a LTD lifetime warranty for the decking you failed to replace.

Check was sent out to you for decking , all of our contracts state we allow up to two sheets of decking at no cost any additional will be at an added cost of 50$ per sheet . This does not mean we will mandatory install two sheets it means if it needs it we allow up to two sheets . Our warranties are pre written as per our attorneys, we do not write our warranties on a per job basis furthermore our warranties cover all the work we do . We will not rewrite our warranties to cover just one job , I hope you understand this practice is cost prohibitive . The roof installed has already experienced several instances of massive rainfalls and high winds and has suffered no leaks or issues which makes its own statement for the quality of work that we provide .  Your warranty has been mailed out to you a total of 4 times if you have not received it please contact our office and we will be more than happy to hand deliver you a warranty packet .thank you
