The Attorney Connection Reviews (101)

First of all, the documents could not have been wrong, as they were prepared on state mandated legal forms.  Secondly, they were not filled out wrong.  Just because a clerk (who is not an attorney) says documents are wrong, does not make them so.  If that was the case, the customer...

simply should have notified the merchant to resolve it.  None of these allegations were brought to the attention of the merchant until this Complaint.  Moreover, the documents and court location, were correct based upon the information that was provided by the customer.  As per the agreed upon terms of service, the customer was obligated to notify merchant of any such issues and allow the merchant to resolve them.  Unfortunately, because of the "gray" nature of the jurisdictional and venue laws, and the non-legal training of court clerks, litigants are frequently misinformed by the clerks.

The judge threw out my request to stop child support because the attorney connection did not supply proper information to my case. I spent 700.00$ on this and still have to go to Oklahoma DHS Services to try to get proper deduction information they took out of my check since 2009 when this deduction started. I would not use these people they will cost you money for nothing when they do not have all the facts straight in the first place. They should have been able to help me through Oklahoma DHS to get all garnishments since 2009 in the first place when this started, because that is exactly what the judge wanted to see to stop garnishments. If that would have been then the judge would have stopped the garnishments. I have paid 38000.00 to Kim [redacted] since this was started in 2009 and she says I still owe 18000.00 and that is not so. I am turning this over to the Oklahoma Bar for compliant about this case and about DHS to get this solved properly and let everyone I know what happened against me with these people. DHS and the Attorney Connection will be turned in for complaint to the Oklahoma Bar My Civil rights are being run over because these two did not help correctly. John [redacted]Midwest City Oklahoma. I will tell everyone I know about this until I am helped correctly. My paycheck stubs do not show child support deductions only my printed statements after three years they do not keep record of them online or anywhere else. Oklahoma DHS has records and they did not attempt to try to help me correctly through this process. Sunday June 26th 2016 4;00 P.M. I will tell the local also if I have to in getting action on my behalf.

First of all, the customer asked us to prepare amended documents, which is what we prepared.  If the clerk did not recognize that, then they were wrong.  Customers who have already filed in a case, frequently retain our services to amend the documents to ensure they are properly prepared...

with what the court wants and expects.  That is what we did.  In addition, the attorney consultation was closer to an hour, not just 20 minutes.  In addition, legal support is still available to the customer.  Since services were rendered as requested, we respectfully decline to issue a refund.

The attachment completely disproves the merit of this customers rejection to our response.

Everything
was disclosed to this customer.  See the terms of service to which he
agreed (see attachment).  The representations in this complaint are not
accurate. To make this complaint worse, the same day of this complaint, the customer first notified us regarding wanting to cancel and did not submit the required
request for refund form, as set forth in the agreed upon terms.  In addition, the customer did receive value, including access to our family law eBook and other valuable resources.  Finally, customer agreed to our no refund policy, clearly stated more than once in the AGREED UPON terms of service.

Customer's initial complaint was that the documents had errors.  Now customer claims he did not receive any documents to file with the court, when he clearly did receive them.  Who is trying scam whom?

First and foremost, the customer received the proper legal documents and attorney support for which he engaged the services of the company.  Secondly, the legal documents prepared can only be a direct reflection of the information provided by the customer, as he is the one who knows the fact of...

the case and conveys that information to the companies.  Thirdly, the company allows the opportunity for the customer to request or make revisions to the legal documents, so they can always be redrafted to the satisfaction of the customer.  Finally, it is important that, to some extent, the documents accurately reflect what the actually testimony of the party would testify to in court, otherwise the customer could lose credibility with the judge.
The full services were provided to the customer and the legal staff and attorney support is still available to the customer.  As such, a refund (of the already extremely low cost for attorney services) is not justified.  The company is happy to continue to work with the customer with regards to his documents and/or legal support to better satisfy his needs.

My son and I started out to have his rights established as an involved father. The journey was long and frustrating and all hope was disappearing. Attorneys wanted us to pay six moths salary for there help. The Attorneys Connection stopped us from giving up. The support and knowledge was priceless. When you have experienced professional's on your side, you feel confident that justice will be served. I had to do a small amout of work that saved thousands of dollars. When I wasn't sure about something, an email or call to The Attorneys Connection stopped the confusion immediately. I tried to do it by myself and failed. Having real support made the difference. Affordability made it possible.

Complaint: 11718744
I am rejecting this response because:  My initial complaints have not changed.  Let me explain it to you again as apparently, you are not too bright.  I did receive an email.  I could not use this emailed document.  It  had INCORRECT information and several typos.  I was suppose to be assigned an attorney in FL.   That NEVER happened either.  I was NEVER given a contact name, phone number or email to an attorney in FL.  The person responding to this complaint doesn't even sign their name.  The Attorney Connection is a fraud and a scam.  I hope to let others know not to waste their time or money on this company.

Regards,
[redacted]

The documents prepared for the customer were correct.  As for any typos, mistakes, etc., they were corrected as requested by the customer and the revised documents were sent to the customer.  The documents were proper given the customer's request and the information provided to the...

customer.  In addition, the company returned all phone calls to customer and tried to work with customer to resolve any issues.  However, because the services were provided in accordance with the terms of service, a refund is not warranted.

Our response to her rejection:  The documents were correct.  The location was correct based upon the customer information provided to us.  The customer never gave us the opportunity to resolve any issues she may have encountered.
Thank you.

We make it clear during the sale, in the terms of service and in the completed case intake form (all which were agreed to and submitted by the customer) that the services do not include an attorney in court.  Also, if the customer claims he did not receive something, all he has to do is let us know, and we can resend it.  These are just excuses to try to steal our services, and get the legal documents for free.  We can disprove every slanderous allegation made by this customer.

Like most people I really had no clue when it came to what documents & the preparation of my own case when it came to the court systems. Not only did The Attorney Connection prepare all the necessary legal documents for me but they also provided me with the tools I needed to be successful including providing me with the guidance & legal support I needed throughout the process. These guys truly are real attorney's providing real family law solutions & I would recommend them to anyone whom was truly looking to save thousands of dollars in getting the court orders needed to resolve they're issues.

Review: I inquired on information for attorney services. I rec'd a call along with emails from a representative that gave me information that gave me hope. Up until I agreed to use their service, I was receiving calls and text messages constant (sometimes several times a day). I was told the papers would be prepared by a lawyer not a paralegal, told we would receive our documents in a week, told we would have access to a lawyer at any time we needed, and more. I finally agreed to go with the service and did the questionnaire. When trying to call, had to leave voicemails. Then when getting a call back, it was not a lawyer, it was a woman that was typing the information I was giving to her. She said she would get the information to the lawyer. Had to call for when we were to receive the paperwork and finally 3 days later received them. Once reviewing them, found multiple errors off the bat that a child could pick out. Along with that, it looked as the document was prepared by copying and pasting the information in. This is not professional and not by any means from a lawyer. Tried to call regarding the errors and more questions and had to leave messages again. Still no response over a week later. I still have the representatives number and I have text him my concerns several times and no response. But when he wanted my business, he was pushy in calling and texting constantly. Now, nothing!!! Due to time frame and the most unprofessional service from this company, we have had to secure a new lawyer. After talking with the new lawyer, I did not sign for anything therefore, I am due my money back even though they are adament in saying (non-refundable). I agreed on a service, I did not get that service therefore, I an due a refund!!!Desired Settlement: Full refund!!! No exceptions!!

After receiving the legal documents, there is absolutely no record of the customer calling and scheduling to speak with an attorney, which is the process. In addition, as per the process clearly set forth to the customer, there is no record of the customer submitting a request for revisions form to make changes to the legal documents. Instead, the customer got his documents, ignores all procedures as to how to schedule an attorney call and to request changes to documents, and then decides to got straight to the Revdex.com to file a complaint. If the customer wants to speak with an attorney, simply call and schedule an attorney phone call. If the customer needs changes to the documents, simply submit the request for revisions form by clicking here. The company delivered on what was represented. The customer did not follow any of the procedures set forth, therefore no refund is warranted.

Response:

This company did not provide what was told in an original agreement! I did call and also called and texted the representative that wanted my business. I got nothing in return. I am able to prove my cell phone calls and texts messages from my cell phone and I also called from my work. If the woman I talked to was typing as I talked to her and told me she would relay the information to the lawyer. I was not allowed to talk with a lawyer at any time. If she did not relay the information, that is not on me and like I said I can prove the date and times of my text messages and cell phone calls. And the service was specifically to have professional documents. The ones we had were copied and pasted together and several child looking errors. That is not professional.

I am rejecting this response because:

Regards,

Review: I hired this firm to help with my child custody modification. I paid the deposit. Sid told me I had up to 30 days to make the second payment of $545.00 to get the upfront payment discount. He told me if you do not pay the 545.00 within that time he will be forced to put me on the payment plan. I filled out the intake form but sent no court documents. So I called my sons mom to see if she would just let me have him and avoid all the legal crap. She agreed. By this time The Attorney Connection automatically charged my credit card without my authorization then told me sorry there are no refunds. Then even after I cancelled the services and filed a request for refund, they then two days later they still charged me their $9.00 phone service fee. It took them for me to email them to respond to the "request for refund". Which they later said we do not give refunds. So why even send me a "refund request form". They had no authorization to charge my card the second time and to continue to charge my card even after services were supposed to be cancelled. "Appears" to me to be a fraudulent company. They also advertised they are an A+ rated company here. Which they are a B+. Then the threat of legal action against anyone who complains against the attorney connection to the Revdex.com about their practices. No bashing here just straight facts. Notice they said 3 weeks after services were started I paid on Jul 10 they took my $545.00 on Jul 24 I filed for refund Jul 24. That's two weeks.Desired Settlement: I want my refund in the amount of $545.00 returned.

Business

Response:

Here are the facts. The customer was aware of and SIGNED the terms of service (see attachment- with relevant portions highlighted), a legally binding contract, including an acknowledgement of the no-refund policy. The no-refund policy is due to the fact that we begin working on customer's case immediately, and we cannot get back attorney and legal support staff time expended on cases. This customer started our services on July 10 and submitted his completed case intake form on July 11. The attorneys began research and preparation of his documents. The customer authorized payment of $545 for July 24 to get the discounted price. The payment processed as scheduled by the customer. The customer then called, after the payment processed, and said he was considering cancelling. On July 27, he called and stated the Mom voluntarily gave up custody he doesn't want or need our services any further and stated he wanted to cancel... more than two weeks after he engaged our services. Neither the customer nor the business can turn back the clock and get the attorneys and legal support staff's time back, hence the refund policy. The customer signed a legally binding agreement accepting that, and now is asking to undo it. Just as customers want to hold us to what we agree to, we are entitled to do the same.

I am rejecting this response because:

Regards,

J[redacted]

I never called and authorized the second payment that is a complete lie. That is my issue. Is the fraudlent charge of my credit card. I never gave you permission to charge my card which is theft. Why would I call you and give you permission to charge my card if I was getting my son without your assistance. I dont care about your no refund policy. You had no right or authorization for the second charge period. My second call to you was to cancel your service period.

Business

Response:

The terms of service, which was signed by the customer, indicates that the payment will be processed as per the schedule the customer requested when he first engaged our services. In addition, the scheduled payment was on the case management calendar of the customer, which was shared with customer and to which he had access. At no time, until after the scheduled payment processed, did the customer ask to cancel or ask us not to process the scheduled payment. If the customer wants to accept a $200 refund, we will do that. If he insists on an entire refund of the payment he scheduled, upon which we detrimentally relied based on his request and his signed contract, then we will not process any refund. And let us be clear, it is he who is committing theft (of services) by asking for our services, signing the contract, having us work on his case based on his request and ACCEPTANCE AND SIGNING of the terms of service, and then demanding his money back.

Review: I contacted the attorney connection on 12/23/13 to have them help me with the court papers for child support for my son. In that phone call I charged $150 to my credit card to start the paperwork, they told me that as long as I paid the remaining $525.00 on 12/26/13 they would have all my paperwork done and emailed to me by 1/3/14. I filled out and sent all intake paperwork back to them on 12/23/13 and made the final payment of $525 on 12/26/13 as they requested. I sent Attorney Connection on 1/10/2014, I requested that they contact me that day. I received a phone call from a customer service representative (by caller ID) at 2:59 pm on 1/10/14 from number ###-###-####. At that time I requested a refund of my charges of $525 and $150 since the court papers were supposed to be emailed to me by 1/3/2014. The representative told me that she or an attorney would call me back that afternoon about the refund. But, that the papers were not ready and would be ready by the middle of the next week. I said that that was unacceptable and not as promised. Therefore, again, I requested a refund. I went an hired another lawyer in my town to file the papers on 1/10/14 by 4 pm when the court house closed, that he got done in 30 minutes of talking to me.At 3:34 pm on 1/10/2014 the court papers were emailed to me, after I had cancelled the service. They were incorrectly filled out, with miss spellings and incorrect data. On 1/14/14 at 5:37pm from ###-###-####, an attorney from Attorney Connection calls me on my cell phone. I again request a refund; he states that they sent the papers to me. I told the attorney that they were a week late, not as promised and that I had requested a refund for the full amounts of $150 and $525, totaling $675.00 on 1/10/2014 before they sent out the papers to me. I didnt receive a phone call back from anyone from Attorney Connection on 1/10/14 after my request for refund as they had told me they would not refund my money.Desired Settlement: Full Refund of $675.00 for not getting the court papers to me as promised by the sales person.

Business

Response:

First and foremost, the customer was not "promised" by The Attorney Connection that he would have his documents by 1/3/14, because the customer did not have a filing deadline that had to be met. Moreover, rather than contacting the business on the date he alleges the documents were to be sent to him, the customer did not contact The Attorney Connection until a week later on 1/10/14. When the customer contacted The Attorney Connection, he left a voice message stating that he wanted his documents that day or else he would demand a full refund. A representative then contacted him back immediately, at which time the customer made the same demand. As the customer stated in his Complaint, the attorney-prepared legal documents were emailed to him that same afternoon. The customer was then given an opportunity to make any request for changes or corrections to the documents. No such request was made. Rather, he just filed a Complaint with the Revdex.com. In short, the customer received the services he paid for in their entirety, and in accordance with what he was told and per the terms of service.

Business

Response:

It is unfortunate the customer had a negative experience. We never received any email messages that he references. We provided the documents in a timely fashion. The fact that the customer chose to retain another attorney on his own, and on such short notice when he had no filing deadline, while certainly not necessary, was his personal choice that we respect. However, it does not change the fact that we produced the legal documents in a timely fashion as per our terms of service and in accordance with what is stated by our representatives.

I am rejecting this response because:

You have liars for sales representatives then! They told me my papers would be DONE by 1/3/2014!!! The conversations are taped by your company, so prove that I am wrong by supplying the recordings of the first 2 phone calls from your sales team. Just because you think that there is no deadline and that you provided the papers in a timely manor doesn't mean that you did.

I explained to the sales team that I was going against a court order by keeping my son from his mother which is Contempt of Court charges, that is the reason that the sales team and I agreed on 1/3/2014 for a date to have the papers for the court. That is also the reason that I went and got a real lawyer to file the papers and the papers to answer the charge of contempt of court, that was filed on me by my ex wife.

Are you finally getting the picture to why I am so upset at the lye's that I was told by your sales team and the lye's that you are saying that there was no rush for these documents?

Also, I just got charged a $10 fee today for something from your company that was never explained to me, so I still don't know what that is about. I told you to cancel your services and refund my money, why are you still charging my credit card. Now I have 3 charges to take to the ADA and to my credit card company to get back.

Regards,

They helped me get more time with son and lower my child support. Thank you! Thank you!

Review: I filled out a form online for Legal Service for custody of a child for my son. I was called early the next morning and the representative explained they did provide services by sending all of the Legal forms & a lawyer would represent me in court for the cost of less than $1000.00. With a down payment of $100.and pay on a monthly fee of $100.After I explained back the services they provide it was correct.I was also told for a extra fee of $20 I could go online and check for updates of the case.Which I replied I did not need the extra services if a lawyer gone to be assigned to the case. I was told a Authorization Form would be email to me to authorize future payments.I ask the representative to send the questionaire form to my son Fredric to fill out about the child..I never did received the authorization form. After checking my bank account I notice a payment of $200.00 & $20.00 was taken. I called the Attorney's Connection and they told me that they did not provided services such as represent me in court and the representaive mislead me of the services they provided,as he was reading from a script and in his own words.I replied he mislead me of the service they provide and I never got the authorization form for future payments. it was sent to my son and he signed it which he is not authorize to sign because he is not on my account. I was told they could not refund back the money to me because of they no refund policies I ask them to listen to the intial call which they refuse to. I contacted the Bank and they told me they tried to get the money back but was unsuccessful. The bank told me to contact you all for further action. and they would not charge my account any additional fees until this matter is taken care of and to keep them updated of the case. I called the phone number the bank gave me of the person sent them the no return policies([redacted] at ###-###-#### Ext 2. I talked to Ms.[redacted] & she stated she would get in touch with me. Which she did not.Desired Settlement: Credit my account back at lease the $220.00 which was unauthorized.

Business

Response:

Our records reflect numerous conversations between our company and the customer, [redacted], and the cardholder, the Complainant, in which we explained clearly that the services do not include an attorney in court. Our terms of service also clearly set forth this fact. As for the payments, [redacted] spoke with our company in August and specifically authorized those payments in order to expedite the case. In addition, Ms. [redacted] later tried to get a chargeback refund with the credit card company, but was unsuccessful, proving that the charges were authorized.

The Attorney Connection definitely delivers on the services that they provide. Response to questions and concerns were done quickly. They were able to assist me with a child support issue that I have been trying to resolve for two years. This was done in a timely manner. Their expertise is Second to None!! I highly recommend this organization. If assistance is needed with any legal documents look no further.

The service is great! All of my questions were answered. I needed help with some of the paperwork and they assisted me. I had no idea what I was doing and they explained a lot to me and took time with me. I was always calling and they provided step by step information. Thank you so much!
