The International Nurses Association Reviews (132)

I am astounded by this organization and the amount of money it charges for essentially nothing in return. So far I have been charged almost $1450.00 for a book full of ads and a certificate that looks ok. That money could have gone to healthcare in developing countries who really need it.
I got on the website and tried to cancel the member; however, there was no pathway. For the potential of being a great association, they are taking advantage of caring people who want to contribute.
It would be wonderful to get a reasonable refund; however, reading the previous reviews it seems that that will not happen in the near future.

Review: I have reached out to this organization since 7/** to refund my money to me as I do not want to be a member of their organization. I joined on 7/**, researched online that they are a scam operation and since then have been trying to get my money back. I have spoken to this company several times via phone and email. None of them have been helpful to resolve this. They offered to remove a monthly fee, but not refund my money. I have made it very clear to them that I do not want anything to do with their company. They insisted it was too late because they had already sent out my sign on ID and pw. When I forwarded them the only email I had received from them, I got no feed back from the company. Then this morning (7/**) I receive another email from the company stating this was my sign on and pw for the website. I again emailed them back asking them to please remove me from their company and refund me my money. Again, nothing from the company. I am extremely frustrated and would never advise anyone to become a member of this organization. I just want my money refunded to me and this association out of my life.Desired Settlement: I would like a complete refund in the amount of $218.95 and to be no longer contacted by this organization.

Review: I have tried to contact this company multiple times about a 289.00 charge on my debit account. I was told I was sponsored, and I only had a monthly fee of 40 dollars, and was not told about a 289.00 dollar fee. When I call customer service, the operator tells me that the member service line is down. when I call the member service line directly, it just has me leave my name and number, and no one has contacted me back.Desired Settlement: I would like to have my membership canceled, and have the 289.00 dollars refunded, since I do not know what the charge is for, nor was I made aware that I would even be charged. I have not received any type of contact back I order to request this.

Review: I received a letter stating I was nominated for free inclusion to a nursing association and was interested in the nurses association. I was contacted and pressured into accepting a $189 "lifetime membership" to this particular association (8/**/14). I was suppose to receive an email (which I did not) stating an identification number and summary of biography (I provided over phone) that would be included in a publication of who's who in nursing. I was given a direct website to go to. I was told this association was on par with American nurses association and would receive access to nursing journals and articles. (There aren't any). Upon googling this company 8/**/14 I discovered that this company had yet to publish any articles or publications (some result threads date back to 2011!) many google results state this as a scam. I tried calling the company back 8/** and 8/** to speak with my "[redacted]" to complain and request money back as this association is not recognized as I was led to believe and holds no "honors and achievements" in the nursing field other than having the honor of being scammed. I was told I could put this on my resume as an honor. It is not! Only if I want to scream to the world how foolish I am to have been scammed by this!

I was misled in that this was a reputable and recognized association. Simply put it is not.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of my $189. I do not care for any of their promotions or perks

Review: I have spoken with this organization at least 4 times within the 2 days of their initial interaction with me to try to cancel this membership. The first time I called was literally within minutes of getting off the phone with them, realizing I had just been scammed. They would not cancel my membership and said my plaque and page had already been created and therefore they could not refund my money or cancel the membership. They said they would waive the $35 monthly payment and that my charge would be $600 + dollars. After telling them again that I want nothing to do with this organization and that I wanted to cancel immediately and not have them charge my credit card, they then said they'd credit my card $300 and I needed to sign the resolution agreement in order to have that credited. I then emailed the organization and said to cancel my membership immediately. I received a call back stating they would credit my card $400. I said that I didn't want to pay a dime, cancel the membership, and I didn't want anything to do with them. They would not comply with my wishes. Again, they sent me an email with a resolution agreement for me to sign so that $400 would be credited to my card. I don't want to pay a dime for this. Any professional organization would refund money and cancel a membership if a person requested it. Clearly they are not a professional organization. I have contacted my credit card company and they are going to work on a dispute for the charge.Desired Settlement: I would like a complete refund of the amount they have charged to my credit card and to be removed from having any association or membership in this organization. At this time there is a $618.95 charge on my credit card. I have not signed any resolution forms emailed to me by the company. I have contacted my credit card company and they will be responding to my request to dispute the charge within 24-48 hours.

Review: I was called on [redacted] at 12:21pm and was offered a "membership" and the potential opportunity to be in a book. I was asked to give my bank info over the phone. I stupidly (I'm a new grad) thought it meant that it'd be on record in case I DECIDED to join, so I gave the information thinking I would sign up online. I researched the company and found that it was a scam. On [redacted] at 12:48 pm I received an email stating I was charged $618.95. This email did not include any offer number or specified the product for which I supposedly owe $618.95. Less than 3 hours after the offer (3:18pm) I called but no one picked up. I left a voicemail and an email and tried contacting them for 12 days. I initiated the process with [redacted] of disputing the transaction of $618.95 that appeared on my account on 11/**/2015 (they are still processing the claim). For 12 days there was no actual response to my VM/email- I picked up a couple calls from NY and they'd hang up. I received a couple of "blank" voicemails. I finally got in contact with Krista Lombardo from HR on [redacted] who said they'd give $400 if I signed a resolution form. She said that they had mailed a packet of materials to my home (which was never received nor requested by me) and stated that because of this, they wouldn't give me all of my money back. I refused, restating that I had no interest in being involved with the association and I just wanted the $618.95 back.Desired Settlement: All I want is my $618.95 back. I have no interest in any association with the organization and have no interest in any of their products or services.

Review: On September **, 2015 I was contacted by this organization through my [redacted] account:

[redacted].

On November **, 2015 I received a phone message from a Tara M[redacted], congratulating me on my selection and to please return her call so that she can finish my biography and send it down to editorial. I returned Tara's phone call on Monday, November [redacted] 2015. She again congratulated me on being selected as a top nurse and wanted to get more information from me to include in my "full page" biography that would appear in the publication of the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare. I answered her questions and then she proceeded to ask me what level of membership I was interested in.....that my biography would only be published with membership. She went over two very high priced memberships, in which I declined. She then offered a entry level "gold" membership in which she told me that I would still receive a half a page highlight in their publication for 2015 (that would be published in the 1st quarter 2016), along with other member benefits that included a news release, discounts and coupons to various services, reduced tuition to universities, etc. I agreed to the "gold" membership because Tara told me it was a one time fee and that I would be able to upgrade it at anytime once I understood all of the benefits that were associated with this membership. The total membership fee with processing was $418.95. She assured me I would be pleased with my membership and that all services and products are personalized, and that this membership would be an asset to my career. I received my welcome packet in the mail on November 23, 2015. Wow!!! What a disappointment!!!! I've been SCAMMED! I received a thin non-personallized binded book with high gloss pictures within it that tells me I have to EMAIL this INA organization to receive information about my "benefits". I received a plastic card with my username and password, along with a certificate of recognition. What a JOKE! Within this non-personallized binded book there is a receipt that shows my membership fees and at the bottom there is a notation marked "TERMS that there will be an "additional charge" of $199.00 due in Jan 2016 and monthly dues of $34.95. That all program sales a FINAL and no refunds will be made". This to me is a HORRIFYING SCAM. As a new nurse, I cannot afford to pay for something like this that was not disclosed and portrayed accurately!

I then log into their website with my username and password and to my horrification there is no additional information about my "benefits". I am also required to update my personal information through my profile link that includes my martial status and DOB. This is not how professional organizations work!!!! Furthermore, my work biography that Tara had asked endless questions for, that was suppose to be being sent down to editorial, was no where to be found. I was suppose to be able to have access to and be able to edit my "biography" according to Tara. This again was misleading and poor customer service and again very scamming.

I have contacted my credit card company to dispute the charge in the full amount and file that this International Nurses Association is a fraudulent company that preys on honest, kindhearted, trusting NURSES.

BEWARE OF THIS ORGANIZATION. BENEFITS AND SERVICES ARE NOT VALID AND ARE NOT AS PORTRAYED. SCAMM ALERT!

Sincerely,

[redacted]Desired Settlement: To be refunded the full amount of the charge and to never be contacted again by this organization.

Review: This company scams people. After doing research, I have discovered that this company said and claimed the same thing to many people. Making promises to publish you in a journal, send a plaque, enroll you in a membership of tiered costs depending on how expensive you can afford......They conned me into believing they were a real company. I authorized a charge of $407.95 for "membership". A wooden plaque arrived, and an email with a password and login. But then they waited two months, and called me to try go charge me more charges, saying there were other items I agreed upon, but that they were back ordered. My credit card began issuing me fraud alerts because the moment I got off the phone with the "gentleman" who was trying to authorize more charges for On Nov 3, 2015 at 6:18 pm for these amounts, all at the same time: $578, $389, $289, $578, then on Nov *, 2015 at 9:46 am they tried to charge $578 again. When I called back the next day, after researching them, I demanded all my money back. They tried to convince me I purchased a product, and received my "plaque". (Pressed particle board square with my name in it", and the "membership". I said I did not want any of it and wanted a full refund. After discussing it for 10 minutes, they agreed to refund me "$218 for the Welcome Kit" email, but only if I would sign emails they were going to send me. At this point I do not want any contact with the company, nor trust them to refund any amount. I hung up on them after only being offered half my money back, only through a complicated process....These people will stop at nothing to get your money. I just want my $407.95 back, since they are not the reputable business they are trying to represent.Desired Settlement: I would like the money back that I was conned out of ($407.95) through believing in the company when they are NOT a true business. I would never have approved the charges had I looked them up more thoroughly.

Review: I did not receive the product (biography/profile) as represented to me by their representative. I have documents I can provide to you for your investigation.

January 2015 I received a mailing at my home stating I was selected as a Top Nurse in Debary, FL in honor of National Nurses Week. I would be published in “Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare”. I was contacted by telephone on Sunday March **, 2015 by Cathy H[redacted] a representative of International Nurses Association. (INA). I spent in excess of 1 to 1½ hours being interviewed for my profile/biography. I gave very detailed personal information based on questions she asked. It was my understanding the information was being entered in my biography at that moment. In the next day or so I would receive a password and username to validate the information entered by Cathy H[redacted] in my profile/biography. I was to review it for accuracy and then forward to the publishers for 2016-2017 publication. After I agreed to the publication I was informed the cost was $700.00. I declined, explained I was retired and living on a fixed income. Although proud of my successful career I was not able to be published at that price. I’ve been published before in other reputable publications using a similar process. She began to reduce the price in increments until she was below $200.00 for my profile to be published. I would not receive a copy of the publication book. I was informed by Cathy H[redacted] she was my representative and would handle my profile. I was to call her for any issues.

On March **, 2015 I was charged $189.00, followed by monthly charges in May and June of $34.95. A monthly fee not discussed nor agreed upon by me. I received my password and user name in June 2015 when I found the initial email sent March **, 2015 in my spam mail folder. I logged on my profile to find very little information, about five data elements entered into my profile. It did not include the laborious time spent during the data gathering telephone conversation as promised with Cathy H[redacted]. I reached out to them immediately, leaving a message on voicemail with my phone number without a response or a call back.

When I called again I requested to speak to Cathy H[redacted]. I was forwarded to Krista L[redacted]. It was at that time she revealed to me the fee of $189.00 was not for my biography/profile publication but for a membership. The fee I paid was for a “social membership” similar to what you would see on a free social media site. Being a professional I did not agree to a social site let alone pay for one, it served no purpose to me. This was not disclosed during my initial interview with Cathy H[redacted]. She was not available for me to talk with her. I requested a refund and was told NO, I wanted nothing to do with their company because they misrepresented the product. I also requested my profile not be published or available to anyone since they did not provide the product they promised. I contacted my credit card company and they were able to get the two monthly fees of $34.95 refunded. I was advised by my credit card company to not access the INA website and to write the INA ending my contract with them which I did in June 2015.

I contacted the company again in December 2015 to request a refund after my credit card company closed their investigation. Again I was told No to a refund and Cathy H[redacted] was not available to talk to me.

I requested my log on and looked at my profile in December 2015. Two data points were in my profile, not provided by me. It listed my work as Central Florida Regional Hospital and my position. I was retired and never provided Cathy H[redacted] or a representative of their company this information. I feel I have been victimized by this company and they continue to have available my profile, incomplete, not truthful, not representative of me as the professional I am. My goal is that another person or senior citizen is not taken advantage of as I have been. I firmly believe they misrepresented the product I was to receive for the money paid to them.

In my investigation of this company I found there were 11 complaints through the Revdex.com of New York for advertising/sales issues, billing/collection issues, and problems with product/service. Would you help by providing recourse or insight on how to correct this situation? I still feel I deserve the refund. I have contacted the State of Florida Attorney General office to look into this company. If there is an agency who would be helpful in resolving my issue please advise me of their name. Thank you for any help you can provide.

.Desired Settlement: Full refund of $189.00 and to be removed from their website any personal information or access they can manipulate without my permission.

Review: In June 2014, I received a call from the INA notifying me that if I joined this association, I will get many benefits, including discounts with other companies, a flight voucher, a change to network with other nurses and to be a part of a publication with the INA. I was told it was a one time fee for a lifetime membership. On Sept. *, I was charged for $322.26 from the INA. I called, and they said it was for the publication, but I had not been told about this charge before. They would not refund the money, saying that this was a part of the membership package. Again, on November [redacted], I was charged $322.82, and this time it was for some 'press release' that I don't even want to be a part of. The same thing happened, they said that this was the last charge and it was all part of the membership. I was also charged for $38.97 on Sept *, and $39.22 on Aug *, not even sure why. I never received any flight voucher or anything in the mail, and the press release was sent out with my name on it, even though I told them I did not want any part of it. They told me they would take my name off the press release, but would not refund my money. I looked up my name on [redacted], and sure enough my name is there, associated with the INA. After tallying up everything, I have given $990.28 to the INA over the past year, spent on essentially nothing. I have not gotten anything in return, even the flight voucher, which I keep calling about and they continuously say they've sent it again, but I have yet to receive anything. AGAIN, this January, they called me, telling me that they were sending out a press release to all these search engines, and OF COURSE there was a charge for it ($495), I was able to talk them out of that and from any further charges.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund for $990.28, and to never be associated with the INA again. I wish to be taken out of the press release and off all search engines associated with INA.

Review: I received a phone call and was told that I was going to be published in a book about nurses and would receive a copy of the book, a certificate, and some discount coupons for being selected. At the end of the phone call they told me there was a fee of $900 and when I said I wouldnt pay the fee, she said she could sponsor me and it would be a monthly cost of $44. That was a month ago and I have not recieved anything from them. She stated that I should get the certificate and coupons in the mail in 10 to 14 days.

I feel this is a scam.Desired Settlement: To notify other nurses out there of this scam. Refund my cerdit card
