I met the woman who is now my Fiancé shortly after starting to work with them in early 2013 and I couldn't be happier! The process of joining was very professional and extremely thorough. they take the time to really get to know who you are and what you really want in a serious relationship. I am a business owner and father of a teenaged daughter with very little free time. I had tried the traditional online dating scene for well over a year and was tired of meeting people who either had hidden agendas, were dishonest or were just plain not who they said they were. When I met my now Fiancé, it was as if we had known each other for years. We both were amazed at how much we had in common. Almost two years later, we still cant believe how lucky we are to have found each other. I will continue to recommended the Relationship company to friends and business associates because of how they have helped me to find the love I have always felt I deserved!

The Relationship Company sells itself as an elite dating service. They offer a Premier Membership which is very high cost and promises a personalized service with an assigned counselor, frequent communication and at least monthly contact addressing and providing matches. In a moment of weakness I met with the President of the Company, [redacted] who does a great sales pitch. She played up the personalized service that would come with a Premier Membership. In addition to the regular contract, at my request, Ms. [redacted] signed an addendum which stated that after three months if communication had not been consistent and I was dissatisfied with the service, I would receive a refund of 70% of my membership fee. Once the contract was signed and the company cashed my check for thousands of dollars (July of 2014) they completely failed to deliver on any promises made. At the initial meeting, [redacted] indicated that she would be calling me shortly as she already had a great referral - she even showed me a photo. I received one referral the third week of August but never received any contact from the individual. At the end of August I e-mailed [redacted] requesting a full refund as it had been nearly two months since my check was cashed with no services provided. Since that time I have sent multiple requests for a full refund. Ms. [redacted] has sent several messages indicating that she was 'sending me a letter' explaining everything - I have never received a letter from her. My last message to her on October 12th I asked that she at least hold to the agreement she had signed which allowed for at least a 70% refund if I was not fully satisfied after three months. At that time I received another message from Ms. [redacted] indicating that she thought her staff had sent me a letter and she would send it again. I have never received any letter from [redacted] or any other employee of the Relationship Company.Product_Or_Service: Dating ServiceDesired SettlementI am requesting a full refund of [redacted] that I paid to the Relationship Company.Business Response Ms. [redacted] secured our services on July 12, 2014. We attempted her first match shortly thereafter. The match was declined due to distance.We attempted a second match on August 15, 2014. The match was approved by both parties on August 19, 2014. Information was released to [redacted] and [redacted].In accordance with our contract, we waited to receive feedback on the match.At the end of August, I received an email stating that [redacted] had never called and demanding a refund in accordance with her contract. I attempted to respond to Ms. [redacted] but she made it very clear she did not want to receive any emails or communication with me at all. She insisted that if she did not receive her money in accordance with her contract, she would contact her attorney. Her emails were scathing. She included her documention of every call and every communication received from the company. In compliance with her demand, I did not attempt to contact her.I waited to speak with her attorney to share the following information:Our contract specifically states that feedback is essential to our process. If Ms. [redacted] had notified me that [redacted] had not called, I would have immediately worked on another match for her. We have several viable options available for her that she might wish to consider. In addition, she might wish to review her contract, specifically Paragraph Nine (9) to understand her role in this process.I would be happy to speak with Ms. [redacted] to review this information. I also urge her to reconsider her decision after reflecting on the information. She is well aware that I will not attempt to contact her if she states that she does not want to be contacted.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I appreciate the response from the relationship company - however it contains multiple inaccuracies. First, I received only one match from the relationship company - not two. I did not turn down a match due to distance. Second, I did notify the company that the one match I did receive had not initiated any contact. I did that within two weeks of getting the referral. I never declined to speak with [redacted]. I never mentioned an attorney. I did ask for a refund based on the fact that there were no actual services provided by the company to me. Ms. [redacted] wrote several times that she had sent me a letter explaining things - no letter was ever received. I made multiple attempts to get a response to my request for a refund after which I did indicate that I did not want to have to take this further (as in contacting the Revdex.com). I have written to Ms. [redacted] that I will be satisfied to receive 70% refund which was specifically spelled out in a signed addendum to the contract. My last e-mail to Ms. [redacted] was a final attempt to settle things: "Look [redacted] - I think it is time to simply resolve this - I ask that you send my 70% back as agreed and we will be done. Please take care of that. There is no benefit to taking this further. "I do not feel the response from this business is at all adequate. I believe I am entitled to a full refund - but will accept the 70% that was outlined in the addendum. I entered an agreement with the Relationship Company in a positive manner and have responded to all communication I have received from [redacted] and any other member of the staff. They simply have not provided any services. Final Business Response I have mailed a copy of the letter I mentioned to Ms [redacted]. It is a new member letter that is received by all clients shortly after they enroll in the service. Although it is not a detailed description of how we work, it does provide information on the best time to reach membership services, the factors effecting the matching process, frequency of matches as well as the necessity for feedback. It emphasizes that this is a process based on mutual participation and feedback.Perhaps if Ms. [redacted] had received this letter, the current situation might have been prevented. Ms. [redacted]'s feedback to us was a demand for a refund rather than feedback that [redacted] had not contacted her.Ms. [redacted]'s first introduction declined the match. We did not contact Ms. [redacted] to tell her that he had declined to meet her. Once we knew he was not available due to distance (she sounded great! he thought...just too far), we worked on her second introduction to [redacted].We were in the process of providing the service Ms. [redacted] paid for. We did not know [redacted] had not contacted her until she notified us that she wanted a refund.We have men who meet her criteria. I cannot describe them in our correspondence with the Revdex.com due to confidentiality.I have, however, taken the liberty to send Ms. [redacted] an email with a detailed description of a potential match that I believe exceeds her criteria. I believe this could be an incredible match for her and I have asked her to work with us to achieve her relationship goals.I am hopeful this situation will be resolved.Sincerely,[redacted]The Relationship Company

I signed on because I wasn't meeting men in my daily life and online dating is tricky. This is as close as I can get to meeting someone through a mutual friend. It's not fast. You have to be willing to be patient and persistent. The process of dating can be discouraging, so persistence is key. Don't give up, don't get down on the process. Elissa has sent me 3 men so far and each one gets better. I'm still online too and am getting better at it. Joining the Relationship Company is moving me forward. I particularly like that the men I meet have to be able to afford this service too so I know they're solvent. And I trust Elissa's instincts about people. She's sening me only quality people.

A contract promised unlimited referrals. I received 3 referrals, one of which resulted in a date. Company refuses communication. I expect a refund.August 29th, 2014On March 25th I "registered" with The Relationship Company. I was soon contacted by a representative of The Relationship Company On the evening of March 26th I received a phone call from [redacted], saying that she wanted to work directly with me = I felt special and singled out. Despite my hesitation to take a step forward, she aggressively urged me to meet with her, that it would be the best decision of my life, I was not ready to take the step and repeatedly told this woman why (I wasn't sure I was ready (just out of a bad marital divorce)...she countered each of my statements with convincing reasons why this would be one step I would not regret; said that if she were me she would do it.On March 28th, 2014 I agreed to meet with [redacted], (the owner of this dating service). I drove to Brattleboro, Vermont and went to the address given me at [redacted] where she conducted a lengthy interview asking me all about me and what I was looking for in a date. There were three choices of membership "levels" and she urged me to choose the most expensive one: the Elite membership for the unique feature of having unlimited referrals and referrals from out of state. She was very excited about wanting to get "started" with me and piqued my interest by showing me the photos of a few eligible men, including a photo of a man who was a millionaire who had his own company.She explained that the Elite membership guaranteed that I could receive referrals from out of state.She assured me that my search would not be long, that "she had lots of eligible men who would love to meet me and that I brought a lot to the table". The less expensive memberships did not have this feature and I would only be eligible for referrals in my region of VT/**. I agreed and purchased the Elite plan seeing the increased benefits that would increase my chances of success. I told her that I had lived in [redacted] and was willing to meet people from any of the states in which she had clients. At the end of the interview I wrote a check for $[redacted] for the Elite membership and signed a contract which stated I would be given unlimited referrals to her clients on a once a month basis (or more frequently) with the criteria I was looking for. Most plans had up to 36 referrals but that she was sure I would not take me that long...this she was personally going to see to... I was told that there was a week or so period of time they had to check my background and that after that time I would start to receive referrals thereafter. The first referral paperwork came on April 22, 2014. The client's name was [redacted]. [redacted] never called. I finally called [redacted] (XXX-XXX-XXXX) and discovered that [redacted] had placed himself on hold, (was not an active "member") and had informed The Relationship Company of this fact. After contacting [redacted] myself I concluded that this referral was not satisfactory and asked The Relationship company for another referral. I was very upset that this first contact was with someone the company was unaware had gone inactive...at this point I began to suspect that The Relationship Company was involved with fraudulent activity. A second referral paperwork came on May 15th, 2014. The client's name was [redacted] from somewhere in **. (XXX) XXX-XXXX. I never saw a picture of [redacted]. He never called either. Third contact I met [redacted]..he was not the person she told me he was. From the time of initial contact to this day, 5 months (March 28th to August 28) have passed. I HAVE NOT received the service of unlimited referrals that were in the contract I signed. I was referred to one man who was misrepresented by [redacted] (this man was the millionaire she baited me with when I initially met with her to sign membership paperwork.)I do not believe this company exists to serve the need it advertises nor do I believe [redacted] has a legitimate pool of candidates she represented to me. She contacted The Relationship Company to inquire about our service. I encouraged her to meet with me in the Brattleboro, VT office for an interivew. The interview was March 28, 2014.I extended many benefits to Ms. [redacted]. Her life experiences as well as her earnest desire and need to establish healthy, rewarding relationships touched my heart. I described several people I felt she would enjoy meeting. Although all were successful men, none of them were recommended based on income. All were based on quality and experiences that coincided with the situation she was currently facing. She purchased a premier membership. I gave her all the features and benefits of an elite membership at no charge. I try to be as accessible as possible to all my clients. Many have my private cell number and touch base when they have a question or a concern. I gave my number to Ms. [redacted] and told her to call me anytime I could support her or assist her in all her current endeavors. She did. With the exception of her last phone call, I was always available to her and supported her as much as I could in any situation she wished to discuss with me. She contacted me in late June but I was not available due to personal matters; however, I asked my staff to follow up with her and to work with her until I could contact her.None of Ms. [redacted]'s matches were based on income nor was she interested in income when she met with me. Her criteria stated that she wanted someone who was financially stable. She was also interested in meeting people throughout New England although she preferred closer to home.She was aware that she would be working with a member of the staff in addition to speaking with me or texting me whenever she wished. She was special and I wanted her to feel special. The challenges she faced and her courage in handling all of them were admirable. I wanted her to know that I respected her ability to manage her life and discussed men who had had similiar challenges in their lives as possible introductions. I felt a friendship could develop that would be rewarding even if the chemistry was not there. I shared my feelings with Ms. [redacted].We contacted Ms. [redacted] on March 30th and continued to attempt to contact her in early April. We also emailed her to let her know the staff wanted to reach her. We attempted her first introduction to [redacted] on April 15, 2014. He declined due to distance.We attempted her second introduction to [redacted] on April 21st. Both approved the match; however, when she called [redacted], he told her he was on hold. We received this feedback from Ms. [redacted] on May 28th.On May 12th, we attempted her third introduction to [redacted]. We tried numerous times to reach her from May 7th - May 14th. The staff called her and sent text messages. A member of the staff sent her a text on the 7th and provided Ms. [redacted] with her personal cell phone number.On May 15th, we mailed the paperwork for the match to [redacted].On June 2, 2014, Ms. [redacted] talked to the staff and was upset because she did not feel we had met her expectations. On June 10th, we introduced Ms. [redacted] to [redacted]. On June 25th, we received feedback from Ms. [redacted]. She liked [redacted] but there was no chemistry.We attempted her 5th introduction on June 25th to [redacted]. He was not available.On July 7th, we attempted to contact Ms. [redacted] and left a message on the voice mail. She did not return our call.Since Ms. [redacted] engaged the services of this company on March 28, 2014, we have attempted five introductions. Ms. [redacted] approved two. She met one. There are many available choices for her due to her flexibility in distance.Refunds are not within the jurisdiction of the Revdex.com nor is a determination for a refund within the jurisdiction of the Revdex.com. We are earnest in our desire to match Ms. [redacted] but I also want her to be happy with this service and her life.Ms. [redacted] will receive a refund process letter from this company. This letter covers all the steps necessary to secure a refund; however, it should be stated that we have fulfilled our contractual obligation to Ms. [redacted] and can continue to do so. She carries a PhD in Social Psychology and is a neutral third party mediator with staff and clients.Ms. [redacted] has made many assertions in her complaint with the Revdex.com. Some are accurate and factual, i.e., she did secure the services of this organization. Others are inaccurate and fictional, i.e., we do not have teenagers on staff juggling child care and school.Ms. [redacted] did receive an invitation to participate in mediation with this company. She did return the invitation, unopened, rejecting our good faith efforts to resolve her issues through mediation.After consulting with Ms. [redacted] with the Revdex.com, she filed a law suit against The Relationship Company. I guess you just didn't feel like it now or changed your mind because after more than a month passed when, on 10-27-2014, you "decided" I was no longer entitled to receive that "refund process letter" You have clearly demonstrated that you are NOT sincere or "eager to resolve all issues" and are not a woman of your word. Not only did you not do what you said what you would do while I was a client of yours but you also cannot and will not do what you say you will do here in mediation with the Revdex.com. You would rather pretend, (or hope) that the matter of breaking a contractual promise will simply evaporate into thin air hoping no one will notice and that you can inject distractions into the argument by turning the tables in a thinly veiled attempt to make it appear as if I have refused YOU in poor faith. No deal Ms. [redacted].Furthermore, your alternative recommendation to trash THIS mediation in favor of your OWN mediator is truly laughable. Do you really think a reasonably intelligent individual would submit themselves to a mediator handpicked and employed by YOUR company, however highly educated he or she might be, if you cannot be trusted with a truly unbiased mediator such as [redacted] here with the Revdex.com? If you cannot trust the process where both parties have equally unbiased support how much more should I trust you in a session with someone who would truly be biased in your favor???You did not and would not keep your word and THAT is the breakdown of THIS mediation; nothing more and nothing less. I paid [redacted] for 12 matches FOUR YEARS AGO. I have only been sent 4 MATCHES.Services promised in contract were not delivered. I want money back.On X-XX-XX I met with [redacted] owner of the relationship company. She told me she could easily set me up with the many available men in my area that fit my profile. I paid $[redacted] and signed a contract which states she will send me 12 matches. Since that time I have only been sent 4 matches! I am so disgusted and sad to see she has expanded her business to VT and NH. The 4 matches that were sent to me did not meet the criteria I was looking for. Two of them lived in other states! I specifically said I wanted someone who lived less than an hour away. When I joined [redacted] said that would be no problem. She said she had many men in my area. I never met any. I am filing this complaint now because I simply cannot stand it anymore. I do not receive phone calls for matches. when I do call there is always a new temp person working. There must be something someone can do to stop this woman from scamming others. I am requesting to be monetarily reimbursed for the 9 matches that were never sent to me. She preferred a man who did not smoke but drank socially. She stated she preferred to only date a man who is Caucasian. She preferred to meet men with Bachelor's Degree with a salary income of $100,000 or above. She wanted a man who is a white collar professional, She was open an religion.She preferred to meet supportive, strong and self-sufficient men. She would like a man who treats others kindly and is witty, honest, and thoughtful. She would like a man who is physically active, very fit, romantic, and attentive, likes the outdoors and someone who is financially secure. The Member Services Representative informed Ms. [redacted] that a match following receipt of her feedback may take 4-6 weeks. If feedback is sent in earlier, we process introductions more quickly. She was excited and ready for a match.On [redacted], we matched Ms. [redacted] with [redacted] who is ** years old from [redacted] He is 5'11.in tall and has a slender to average body frame. He has a Bachelor's degree in Accounting. He is divorced and would like to marry again and he has 2 children (ages 13 & 11) who do not live with him. He does not smoke; he drinks on rare occasions. He is an avid movie goer and likes comedies, romance, and horror, He likes to work out at the gym, likes concerts, white water rafting, canoeing. He loves to dine out. His music preference is anything from the 70's, 80's, and 90's but not rap or heavy metal. Ms. [redacted] declined due to distance.On [redacted], we introduced Ms. [redacted] to [redacted] who is ** years old from [redacted] He is 5'11' and has a slender to average body frame. He is single, never married and has no children. He does not smoke, he drinks socially. He has a job in Pharmaceutical Sales and his hobbies include boating, swimming, hiking, card games and He is a big car fan. He enjoys casual dining (no spice), and going to museums. [redacted] declined because he was seeing someone he met through the service. (On [redacted] we reintroduced [redacted] to Ms. [redacted]. She called us with questions about [redacted]. We addressed those questions and she was excited to hear from him. To texted her and they went out for drinks. Multiple messages were sent between the two. They reached the conclusion they were not a good match although Ms, [redacted] liked that he was local.On [redacted], we matched Ms. [redacted] with [redacted] who is ** years old from [redacted] He is 5'11" with a slender to average frame. He is a middle school counselor with a salary over $50,000. [redacted] is single and never married with no children. He does not smoke and drinks socially. He plays basketball on a weekly basis, likes golf, football, volleyball. He likes to be on the water and loves the beach. He also enjoys the theatre. He really likes live music, new restaurants, and enjoys cooking. She declined due to salary requirements. On 12/14/11 we reintroduced her to [redacted] but she declined. She was just not interested in him.On [redacted] we matched Ms. [redacted] with [redacted] who is 39 years old from [redacted] He is 5'8" tall and he has a slender to average frame. [redacted] owns his own Martial Arts studio. [redacted] also has a bachelor's degree in manufacturing/engineering. He does not smoke and drinks socially. He is single, never has been married, with no children. He is accomplished in his field of work and loves his job, His hobbies include: tennis, yoga, beach, walks, jogs, and shooting hoops. [redacted] Likes to travel, live music, dining out, and a little dancing. She initially declined the introduction due to a scheduling conflict On July 8, 2010 Ms. [redacted] let us know she did meet [redacted] but there was no chemistry.on [redacted], we matched Ms. [redacted] with [redacted] who is 55 years old from [redacted] He is 6'3" tall and has a slender to average frame. [redacted] is a Mortgage Banker with some college. [redacted] is single, never been married with no children. His hobbies include: Travel., dining out, golf, loves to work out. [redacted] is intrigued with culture and with people and likes to learn new things. He enjoys the arts, museums, theatre. He's a great cook and a critic in restaurants. He also enjoys physical activities of all sorts. It is at the discretion of The Relationship Co. Customarily the consideration for a refund is based on adherence to contractual obligations by the company and the client. Our contract clearly explains the policy for a refund in addition to other policies and procedures that apply to the company as well as the client. All clients are asked to read and initial all clauses in the contract. The policy for a refund is stated in the first clause of the contract. This clause states if a client cancels his/her membership prior to receiving a referral, the client will receive 1/2 of his/her money back. The programs offered by the company reflect this, i.e., there is not a time limit on any program.
