Review: We bought a Nissan Sentra 2013 car from Thrift Auto Sales on August 16, 2014 in NJ. We did business with [redacted] and when we dealt with him he said our car would be delivered on August 22, 2014. Registered with NY plates and ready to go.

1. Called him numerous times and was lied to.

2. We paid $1079.25 for NY sales tax, $399.00 for NY registration/title fee, $295.00 document fee, $250.00 delivery fee on August 16, 2014.

3. Car was delivered on 8/23/14 by HEVAL Auto Transport and [redacted] told us that they would transport vehicle for car pictures for insurance on NY plates would be delivered by noon! Car delivery person would not transport car for pictures, had another delivery to make and he would not leave car if I did not give him a check for $400.00. NO plates by noon, we were lied to by [redacted]!

4. Called to talk to [redacted] and The Manager [redacted] came on the line and admitted that [redacted] lied to me about the plates. [redacted] said plates would be delivered by Fed Ex to us on Monday by at noon. NO plates came! I called NYS DMV and asked if I could get information about the car to see if it was registered yet, NO it is still registered by the original owner as of today August 25, 2014 at approximately 12:30 PM.

5. In the glove box we found registration and payment book from the original owner. Not sure if car was paid off or stolen!

6. Continued to call today 8/25/14 to Thrift Auto Sales [redacted] nor [redacted] would not take our calls or return our calls.

7. Our concerns are getting the registration, plates and our $400.00 back.Desired Settlement: Registration

Plates

$400.00

Response:

The registration is being processed by the NY state Motor vehicle department and the registration company that registers the cars. It should be complete any second.

Review: This dealer is a scam! They took our deposit for a vehicle, paperwork, loan and everything else completed but we waited almost 2 weeks before we could get the car. Within that time, we realized that the sales person made a mistake on the warranty, we paid for ultimate and we got value pack. The sales person said he would change it and acknowledged the mistake (tape recorded). However, in the end they refused to change the warranty because they would lose out.

Once we got the vehicle a BMW 328XI, my husband took it to the BMW dealer to check it out. The test revealed $3,600 of repairs that needed to get done. I brought it back to the dealer because I purchased a 90-day warranty for $1,895 in addition to a 2-yr warranty and we were told if anything went wrong with the car to bring it back, so we did. They gave us a hard time to fix the vehicle but eventually they decided to fix the car. They took the car to a so-called specialist who had no clue what they were doing, we were constantly calling about the vehicle, got into a lot of arguments over the shady repairs and we were not happy with their service at all. It took these incompetent people almost 4 weeks to fix something that takes less than 2 days. The worse part about it is that they didn't even do a good job on the repair, there is still more work to be done. FOOLS!!!

I ended up cancelling the warranty and they have yet to send their markup portion $1,500 to the lien holder. I guess we're going to court. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE, not even the dead... HORRIBLE!!! [redacted] (Owner), [redacted] (Finance), [redacted] (sales) and [redacted] (lot manager) all a[redacted]s, lie in front your face... They also go at each other to put on a show, like people are stupid. They play games with the phone, they play games with who's working and who's not, they just don't care.

They also said they would give me $500 for being a return customer in writing. They owe me a total of $1,500 for warranty and $500 that was promised in writing.Desired Settlement: They need to provide $1,500 paid to the lienholder or paid to me in a check and also the $500 in check as promised.

Response:

I understand the customer is upset, but the dealership by lemon law has 21 days to fix any issue and the dealership at no additional charge did fix the issue the customer had. The customer bought a 7 year old vehicle which by lemon law also comes as is. We came out of pocket to repair the issue even though we did not have to. We have no had any correspondence with the customer since they picked up their fixed vehicle, but if you have any remaining issue please feel free to email [redacted] so we can resolve. Thank you.

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

1. I am not discussing the issus of fixing the car which by the way was not fixed properly after taking the car back to the experts the BMW dealer, where the car should have been fixed. Your response is correct I do not want to deal with your company so I have no reason to call, you didn't fix the car, you did a temporary solution which took you almost 4weeks why would I waste another 4weeks, to be tortured. My issue is my refund of the cost of the warranty. That's what I would like. I will be visiting your office to discuss how I will be refunded and that's the only time you'll from me. If I'm refunded then, I taking my evidence, taxi bills and refund report to the courts.for a company claims to make $50m a year, you suck!,

I am willing to sit and discuss your financial claim and request. I guarantee we will try to make you happier than you are now, but one thing I recommend is to try and remain professional without name calling and abuse to us. Review: Purchased a used 2005 [redacted] on June 16, 2015 from Thrift Auto Sales. At the time of purchase the salesman and dealer agreed there may be an issue with the clutch and agreed with me to have it looked into and make good if in fact there was an issue. The car seen by a [redacted] Dealer the week of July 20th it was serviced and in fact the clutch needed to be replaced. Initial cost $3,200.00, negotiated service dealer to $2,277.83. I called Thrift Auto and spoke with [redacted] who stated he would speak with owner [redacted] and get back to me. I have placed NUMEROUS calls and left messages for both [redacted] and Mr. [redacted]. I get left on hold, placed into [redacted] voice mail that states the name of a past employee. When I mentioned I was sent to the wrong voice mail I was told it is [redacted] line but he has not recorded his name that it is a past employee. I tried calling at all different times to get Mr. [redacted] and I am told he is not here or in an important meeting, will take a message and he will call me back and also does not have voice mail. I have left my number for a return call, that has not yet been received. [redacted] did call back ONCE and stated he would call me later in the day and to this day I am still waiting to hear from him ...that was on July 24,, 2015. This dealer is the worst that I have ever dealt with prior to this incident I had to deal with getting my registration and that too was a nightmare. I was given a 20 day temp that expired on June 26th, with no registration a week after expiration I began calling them to provide a status. I fought for over another week to get my registration. I dealt with SEVERAL different employees who gave several different LIES and STORIES, however I was persistent in getting the registration as I was unable to drive the vehicle, that I was now having to make payments for. They had one of the girls from their office actually deliver the registration and plates to me at 7 pm on a Friday July 10th. ALL UNACCEPTABLEDesired Settlement: It would be nice if the dealer would take responsibility and ACKNOWLEDGE me as I am a paying customer. SPEAK TO ME AND RETURN MY CALLS. The deal was easy for them I have excellent credit and put down a great deal of money $35,000.00. I would like for them to make good on the repair to the clutch. It is only fair as they knew at the time of the deal there was an issue.

Review: I brought a 2006 BMX X5 the salesperson [redacted] told me the sunroof would be fixed as well as make sure that all issues with the brake light airbag light and all sensors would be fixed. The lights also needed to be changed as well as the door fixed and the under carriage by the tow needed pins to hold that in place. I was promised all would be fixed when I can back to pick it up on march 3,2014 when I came to pick it up! the only thing that barely got fixed was the door. I have been getting the run around from him for a month now. Ive called the dealership several times and I'm still waiting on a call back. I purchased this used vehicle under the impression that I would have a realible car. and in the process of getting the run around now my check engine light has come on. I need theses problems fixed...I told the sales guy that I've never owned a used car because of these issues and was assured that I would be taken care of.Desired Settlement: I would like the vehicle repaired or replaced. and I would like to get some sort of apology for the inconvenience I've been through.

Response:

To start the year of the vehicle falls under lemon law as is guidelines. When purchasing a used car the dealership may be liable for engine, transmission, suspension, but nothing else. This car based on the fact that it is 8 years old was sold as is. We would still like to offer a show of good faith by trying to help you in some way. Please email [redacted] to open communication towards some kind of a compromise. Thank you

Review: I recently purchased a vechicle from Thrift Auto Sales [redacted] New Jersey on Dec 5, 2013. I puchased the vechicle out of state with my home of record being [redacted] Virginia. I paid taxes and title and license fees for Virginia and Thrift Auto Sales agreed to process and handle my tags for my vehicle which were to be mailed to my home at [redacted] Virginia 23666. I was issued a dealer temporay tag with an expiration date of Dec 24, 2013. I contacted Thrift Auto Sales 7 days prior to my dealer tag expiration date for an update on my Virginia License plates or possibly an extension on my dealer tag. I spoke to the Title Department Representative by the name of [redacted] and was informed my Virginia Tags were being processed and I should recieve them by the Friday Dec 27, 2013 and that it was illegal to issue another dealer tag. I asked what happens if I receive a ticket for expired tags and [redacted] personally told me that Thrift Auto Sales will pay for my ticket expenses. So today I contact Thrift Auto Sales and after being on hold for over 15 minutes I didn't recieve any help. I was able to be connected with [redacted] from the Title Department only to be placed on hold for another long period of time and then the call was disconnected. I called back several times only to be given the run around on the phone and the receptionist told me that [redacted] had left the building. I explained to the representative that I just spoke to [redacted] and she placed me on hold. The receptionist told me "sorry [redacted] has left". I asked to speak to a manager and then was informed no manager or Title Deparment Representative was there today. I continued calling back to Thrift Auto sales only to be given the run around. One call a person answered the call and didn't identify themselves or the company and asked what did I want. I just want this issue to be resolved and for Thrift Auto Sales to honor their agreement of issuing my VA License plates/tags.Desired Settlement: I would like for Thrift Auto sales to complete the process in a timely manner of a couple of days oppose to dragging the process out over a month. It is unacceptible to purchase a vehicle and almost 30 days later still not have the proper licensure documents/tags for it. In addition I would like an explanation of how this could have happened as well as an apology from Thrift Auto Sales staff for lack of respect and display of unprofessionalism. I hope that this does not happen to another customer.

Review: I purchased a car from the thrift auto sale company. When I bought the car there were a lot of issues with the car. The car had bad brakes, faulty hose in the engine, a leak in the car, and issues with the heating/cooling system. I purchased a 2-year extended warranty to get all of my repairs fixed. I was not given my paperwork (contract etc.). In order to get my car repaired I need all of my paperwork. I called the dealership and was to told to drive there to pick up my paperwork. When I got there I was told that my paperwork was not there and that they had to go get my paperwork. I told by one of the workers who worked in the finance department to pick up my paperwork the next day. I explained to him that I needed a number at least to call my warranty company. He gave me a piece of paper and told me to call the number. I called the number and discovered that I did not have any warranty with the company. I called thrift auto sales back and complained that I was told that I did have any warranty that I paid $2.500 for. The customer service lady told me that I would receive a call back; which I knew was not going to happen from prior incidents. I stayed on the phone expressing my outrage towards thrift auto sales until I was given an answer. I was finally told that I was given the wrong number and that they would get my paperwork. Two weeks has passed and I still did not receive my paperwork that I asked to be mailed to me. I cannot get my car fixed until I receive my paperwork. They are unwilling to assist me in retrieving my paperwork. I have tried to call their corporate number many of times and never was able to get in contact with anyone.Desired Settlement: I want all of my paperwork ( car contract, 2 year warranty contract etc.) on the car immediately. And I want the repairs needed fixed.

Review: I purchased a car from auto sales in Mountain Lakes New Jersey The sales price of the 2003 Mercedes Benz SL 55 AMG he was $24,900. When I later received the loan information from my lender the amount was now $31,000 There were many hidden cost that weren't told to me before hand subsequently the car had some mechanical issues less than a week later which they agreed to address and fixed at no cost to me They told me they weren't able to do the repairs themselves and had to give it to Open Rd., Mercedes engine 22 in New Jersey. That was on July 6 I spoke with Open Rd., Mercedes in the car was finished a week later but the car has remained with "Mercedes for one month because lack of payment from Thrift autosales when I try to contact if auto sales to find out what The problem is they cannot give me an answer so now I'm at my wits end trying to figure what to do just to get my car back. There was also the issue of an extended warranty which I purchased when I first bought the car. I bought the car knowing that it was a 2003 and he needed extended warranty one week after I purchased the car I received a letter from the warranty company saying that they don't provide a warranty for that car I try to retrieve the 3500,the cost for the warranty but Thrift would not refund the money and said that they would be able to find someone that would give me a warranty they later found someone to give me a warranty(auto source warranty llc)Desired Settlement: The desired outcome would be to receive my car and the refund for the warranty

Business

Response:

I am not clear on the exact issue. You said there were hidden fees but you said you purchased a warranty in addition to the car. There are also taxes and registration and documentary fees that add to the sales price. The warranty has been activated and there is a warranty on the car. Now that this has been addressed what is the current situation that needs to be addressed. In regards to the dealer guaranteeing condition of the mechanical problems after sale. IN the state of NJ any car 7 years or older at time of sale is considered as is legally. Do you have anything in writing at the time of sale that represented an after sale promise of repair by the dealership? THank you.

I am rejecting this response because:

Firstly, I do believe that the dealer is responsible for the car to pass inspection, which it couldn't because of the transmission issue, the dealer agreed to fix said issue and took the vehicle into their possession on July 6, thirty days later there was still no car available. The last contact I had with the dealer was difficult, the owner told me that dmv was shutting him down and he couldn't help me anymore and I was on my own. They don't have my car anymore thrift auto sent my car out for repair and left it up to me to find where it was being repaired, when I did find the car at a local dealer they informed me that they have been trying to reach thrift for three weeks, regarding the car and that thrift owes them $2198 dollars or they won't give me the car. Secondly the invoice price and the amount financed was a huge difference $7000 to be exact I later found out that there was a prep fee of $1700 $3500 warranty as well as the normal taxes and registration fees, which I understand. I was never informed of the prep fee or the amount of the warranty, if these items were made available to me I would never have made the deal. The bill of sale said $24900 but I found out later I'm financing 31000.

Review: Purchase car for the dealer. I was told that the automobile was being sent to be repaired so that when I get the auto back I could take it to get it inspected and I would not have any problems. After getting the car finally I took it to the princeton [redacted] coper dealership they did a 31 point simple inspection found several things that the car dealership should have found when they went over the car.

Now the car was damage when they brought the car to me I was told by the employees that was dropping off the car that the repairs will be done and that they was also taking pictures showing what was damages before I took the car from them and signed the delivery papers

I have call and call many times not able to get the people in chargeDesired Settlement: Please either repair the car or allow another dealership to make the repairs and let Thrift Auto pay the bill for the services. I do want a letter of apology from the dealership to, this has been a long time

I am rejecting this response because:

I got the message from [redacted] one of your sale mgr. however I sent a copy ofyour reply to Better Business you stated you were going to take care of thiscar, not make a offer. I sent this reply of your of what you stated to thebetter business to the Sale Mgr [redacted] showing him that what you offer is notacceptable base this was not what you stated to the Revdex.com organization.1: Now the part that was damaged before I got this car is on you and it needto be repaired that the right side bottom was damaged by whoever took it offthe your truck when it was brought back from the repair shop. This first tobe done and it has nothing to do with the other damages. Don't have a pricefor this part2. The person who repairs your cars it is cheaper for you to get this repairdone because you pay wholesale prices instead of retail prices for repair.Sothe small repairs that needs to be done is because I was reassured that thiswould pass inspection without no problem, when I had it inspected the nextday by [redacted] dealership in Princeton Nj they told me what was soobliviously w[redacted]g with the car and these things would fail when a Carinspection was done. Total retail cost was 698 with the fluid flush, sensorreplace, f[redacted]t brakes and rotors, now if you get it done I assumed your costwould be about maybe 300 part and your shop. there are clips that need to bereplace on the around the top of the car.Last was a bolt need to be tighten and belt need to be changed because itwas crack the belt cost maybe was under 40 dollars retail, the bolttightening wouldn't cost you nothingAll I want is the things that the dealership giving you till tuesday pick itup Wednesday.I am letting Revdex.com know and I am forwarding them your complete record which Ihave on what was stated by you, what was stated by [redacted], and what was told tome on several times.I am calling on Monday as [redacted]s stated and so I am sure you will have thesethings started and that I can get my car by wednesday

Review: I found this car (BMW 6501, year 2009) online (Auto-trader) in Feb which was advertised by Thrift Auto Sales in Mountain Lakes, NJ and contacted the dealer[redacted], the sales person sent me the details of car via email and spoke with me over the phoneI drove from Littleton, MA to Mountain Lakes, NJThe sales person, [redacted] added $on the top of the internet advertised price and said that it was a common practice while there was nothing in the disclaimer off the online advertisement (Auto trader)I liked the car so I told them that I was willing to pay the extra price on one condition that if everything was done right away and I could save myself another trip to NJI purchased the car same day (on 02-26-2013) and before I left the dealership, I found that the cigarette lighter and Navigation DVD were missing while the Charging ports were not workingI informed the sales person and his manager right away since they had charged me $extra for the service and bumper to bumper coverageI was told that I would get the lighter and the DVD in the mail while I was advised to contact the BMW Dealership for the electric issuesI was still at Thrift Auto dealership at that point and refused to go to BMW Dealership since I had paid $for the service and I had not even left with the car yet
After several calls and emails which were never returned by the sales person, [redacted], I was requested to speak with the manager and the receptionist, [redacted] made million excuses to avoid the situationFinally, the manager spoke with me and assured that I would get the cigarette lighter and the navigation DVD in the mailI did get the lighter after weeks but its been weeks & no navigation DVD
Worst of all, I still do not have the permanent license plates (its been weeks), I was helped by Joanna with the temporary plates times & she suggested to speak with the owner, [redacted] while despite leaving several messages for owner, I never heard from him.Desired Settlement: I will like to get the $back which was charged extra to cover the car and it was not covered, [redacted] even lied about filling the air in the tires and when I left the dealership he said the air was filled and the air pressure monitor was giving wrong signWhen I checked the air, it was really low in all tiresI called him right away and expressed my displeasure and he started blaming the service people although initially he had told me that he himself had filled the air(that's the quality of service)
I have been waiting for the navigation DVD for weeks and I can get myself so I need $refund for the DVD too
License plates are not done yet and I paid taxes and documentation feeI need refund of that, I can pay taxes in MA and register my car on my own in the state of MA
Total Refund: $

Review: I bought a vehicle online, the vehicle I received had many issues that were not disclsed. This is a disgrace of a business to deal with.

This is a very vague complaint and I am not sure how to respond with any specifics. please email [redacted] to open communication towards resolution. Thank you.

Review: I have about 4 different complaints related to Thrift so it's hard to narrow it down to 1 primary complaint -Inferior service, scams etc.. We wanted to purchase an '08 Mercedes benz C-300 at their "wholesale/internet price" of $15,999. I was already preapproved by my credit union but after HOURS of being warn down by the dealership, my husband and I agreed to finance through them, and they also verbally told us that though we are getting the car "wholesale", they charge $1800 for a "prep package" which they told us over and over would service and detail the car before they delivered it to us to take care of any issues, and bring it up to "like new" condition. I asked them more than once if they would take care of all the little things we noticed with the car during the test drive and they said yes, yes, yes. This prep package was non-negotiable and was added onto the $15,999 price. We were then asked by the sales person, [redacted], to purchase an extended warranty for 4 years, for a total of $1.995 with [redacted]. Warranty company. I told him I don't believe in extended warranties and I verbally told them no about 4 times. We were brought into the owner's office ([redacted]) who pitted my husband and I against each other when I flat out said no, but my husband was on the fence. After about an hour, we both gave in. So now we owe $22,000 on a car only worth $17,000 and to top it off, we have only driven the car about 2 weeks out of 2 months because of all the problems the car had that the dealership took a month to acknowledge. They constantly gave us the runaround, wasted our time and money and the car would just sit in their lot for weeks (and they said it was in the mechanic) for repairs that they should have made before it was delivered. So now, the car doesn't start because of a steering column malfunction and we had to pay $1100 to fix this and we went direct to the mechanic who said Thrift sells warranties that NEVER COVER ANYTHING. More issues, not enough charactersDesired Settlement: We want our $1,800 back for this prep package that never addressed any issue except giving the car a wash and wasted our time leaving the car with the dealership when they weren't even working on the car and told us they were. We would like the $1,995 we paid for this phony [redacted] warranty company refunded, we would like the $376 monthly payment refunded to us for 2 months that the car was sitting at the dealership or at the mechanic, and we want them to cover the $1100 for the steering column repair that their warranty company should have covered since it is apparently a common issue with '08 C-300's. OR, Just take the car back and cancel our financing contract so we can pretend this nightmare never happened!

Business

Response:

This customer willingly admits to purchasing a warranty and somehow we are at fault for that. They bought a 4 year unlimited mile warranty for a Mercedes for $1995 which is below market value. The warranty is through a 3rd party company and if there are issues with them, you can contact them to discuss the issues with non coverage or we can try and help you with that. The dealership prepped the vehicle including changing 4 tires, including a 3 month, fully comprehensive detail, and servicing which the customer doesn't mention. I am not sure about their timeline of non use of the vehicle as we had the car for about a week. I understand they are unhappy and we would be willing to try and discuss an option to make them happy, but currently their requests sound unreasonable and not fully truthful. Please feel free to open communication towards resolution by emailing [redacted]. Thank you.

Review: I purchased a car from Thrift in the beginning on Nov 5th. I traded in my old car and I was told that my license plates would be returned to DMV by the dealership with in a few days of my purchase. I received a legal notice in the mail requiring me to show up to court do to fraudulent plate. The dealership never returned my plate instead they put them on a different car and got pulled over. I now have to take a day off of work and go to Paterson NJ to figure this issue up. The dealership has not been responsive or helpful with this situation so far.Desired Settlement: I would like for the dealership to cover all cost and expenses I might incur due to there illegal actions. I would also like to be compensated for the time I have to take off from work and sit in a court room. I have to waste my time and lose money for other illegal action and that is not fair or right for me to have to deal with.

Response:

There are no known issues by the dealership about this. Please [redacted] if there are any issues.

Review: I made a vehicle purchase from thrift auto sales on 1/28/15 for a 2011 G37x coupe, with a trade in of a [redacted] with a pay off of over $10,000. They collected the balance owed on their vehicle immediately but are yet to make my trade off payment for the [redacted] in their possession. It is now 2/24/15 ALMOST A MONTH LATER! My credit rating is now in jeopardy if payment on the [redacted] isn't madeDesired Settlement: Make the payoff payment immediately!

Business

Response:

The payoff has been made and the check has cleared our account. Please contact your bank to make sure of this. If you have any other issues please email me at [redacted]Thanks,Nick

Review: I won't even begin to note their false advertising (advertise prices online then when you call they tell you that doesn't include the $1850 "conditioning" fee). My issue is that after agreeing on a price, the dealer assured me it would come with a full detail, and that all usual items were present - manuals (these were), both keys (only one) and all car mats, etc.

The car arrived with only one key, not clean inside at all with garbage and debris in the back, a broken front console where cup holders reside, and no car mats.

I attempted to contact dealer to discuss including pictures of broken console.

No response from management; Original salesman "[redacted]" then claimed the car was sold 'as is'. Not only is this not true (and I have the emails where he described the full detail, etc.) but the purchase order does not say "as is" anywhere either.Desired Settlement: I paid $315 for a new key, $165 for new mats. I will seek to get the console repaired at my own cost if they at least agree to cover the $490 for the key and mats. And an apology would be nice.

Business

Response:

I am sorry for your experience so far. Part of the retail certification pkg does not include a 2nd key if not agreed upon. But let's talk this coming week and work something out to make sure everybody is satisfied. Thank you. Please email me at [redacted]

Review: Bought a 2007 VW Passat in late October of last year, had it shipped to Tucson, AZ. Upon arrival, the car had multiple problems that made it undrivable. Bearings were worn out, engine light was on, electronic parking brake was not functional and in need of repair, two windows did not work, transmission was slipping, large dent on rear bumper. Salesperson [redacted] told me to take it to the closest VW dealer service location, and he'd take care of me. The repair bill for diagnostics, check engine light, parking brake repair of module and motor was over $1600. [redacted] from Thrift Auto agreed that they would pay 1/2, his portion was $840. I have full documentation and receipts of agreement from vw dealer service rep. Months went by, everytime I would call thrift auto, they would say the check was just sent or it was processing ready to be mailed to me. Another month went by and then would not return my calls at all. The $840 ended up only being about 1/3 of the total repairs the car needed that I eventually fixed. I also got the bad front bearings replaced, window motors replaced, and the dent taken out of the back, total was another $900. So I have paid a total out of pocket of over $2500 right off the lot for this car and the transmission is still bad. I have a very good court case, and if needed I will fight it and pursue the full amount, not just the $840.Desired Settlement: I'd like the agreed upon $840 by salesperson [redacted] or I will pursue the full $2500 repair amount in court if I have to.

Please email your correspondence to [redacted] that you had with [redacted] where you have a promised reimbursement and we will honor the agreement. I am sorry for the supposed lack of communication by [redacted], but he no longer works here. Thank you.

Review: I contacted Thrift Auto Sales to purchase a 2006 Range Rover Sport on 12/17/2013. On 12/20/13 I signed a contract to put a $200 deposit on the vehicle (VIN# [redacted]) to hold it from being purchased by anyone else. I visited the dealership on 12/21/13. After waiting 2 hrs, I test drove it and told my sales person, [redacted], I would provide my decision by Monday 12/23. On 12/23, I contacted [redacted] in the morning to finalize details. At which time, [redacted] faxed me a copy of the purchase order for this vehicle. At approximately 5:30 in the evening [redacted] called me to let me know the vehicle I put the deposit on, had been sold. He stated he was sorry and that they located me another vehicle with better interior. After I called back later and spoke with both [redacted] the owner, and [redacted], I was apologized to and told that they would contact me on 12/24 with details on a new vehicle. I was contacted on 12/24 and told that no vehicle has been located.

I am seeking action to report this dealer and satisfy the contract I signed to purchase the Range Rover sport noted above.Desired Settlement: I want the Range Rover Sport I contracted to purchase on 12/20 and I want an explanation as to how a legit binding contract was ignored.

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:my deposit was not returned. Another vehicle of a much higher price was located to sell me. Due to my circumstances of already selling my vehicle and to avoid additional hits to my credit report, I purchased the vehicle.

Regards,

Review: I purchased an infiniti from this dealership on 06/05/2015 and was told I had to purchase a 3,000.00 plus taxes warranty for the deal to go through. I was reluctant, but it was going to cover the car from bumper to bumper for 5 years. So no car expenses, I agreed. I received a letter last week from [redacted] and it stated the money had never been paid to them and there was no warranty. I called the dealership and was told by [redacted] (manager) that a check would go out to me last Friday for the 3,000.00 plus taxes to settle the matter. I called yesterday to follow up and was told a check never went out and I was just told that to stop me from calling and [redacted] is on vacation this week. I have made several attampts to get the owner Mr. [redacted] on the phone with no luck. I just want the money back that was taken from me. The worst company I have ever dealt with. Beware!Desired Settlement: The 3,000.00 plus taxes they took for the warranty that was never purchased.

WARNING!!!!!! THIS DEALERSHIP IS CLOSED! THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO REGISTER MY CAR FOR ME BUT INSTEAD THIS WROTE A BAD CHECK TO THE DMV AFTER I HAD PAID THEM. NOW I AM ON THE TOOK FOR MY SALES TAX THEY DID NOT PAY AND I ALREADY HAD ROLLED INTO MY CAR LOAN. BEWARE I'M SURE THIS SCRUB BAGS WILL OPEN THEIR DOORS SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!!!!!

Review: I purchased a car from Thriftauto sales dealer on 8/29. I paid $7000 down pay and paid my insurance and loan for this car. However, it took them over 3 weeks to deliver the car to me after numerous phone calls and emails. And the car was delivered without a registration plate, title, even though I paid $400 fees to them for getting registration. And I cancel the [redacted] insurance, they said they would mail me the check. But till today, over a month past, I still haven't received my registration plate, title and my check. And nobody in the company is willing to answer my call or my email.Desired Settlement: Send me the registration, title, and the check.

Response:

[redacted] and I have been in contact over this whole process and the [redacted] takes 30 days to cancel. Your registration is in the works and you have a temporary plate to drive the vehicle. I am not sure that this warranted a complaint as we have been in touch over the whole course of time. Thanks,

Consumer

Response:

I am rejecting this response because:I don't have a temporary plate or even title of the car. It's been over a month since I purchased the car, I paid $7000 downpay, $600 loan with insurance last month, but unfortunately, I can't drive the car till today because I don't have the plate (include temporary plate) or the title. Please mail me the temporary plate first if the registration takes the time. And mail me the check for cancelling the [redacted] insurance.

Response:

The customer has received the temporary plate and the registration should already have been completed as well. I don't believe there is any issue at this point.

Review: Basically I financed a car april 5 gave them my deposit monday april7 and the said the car was going to be ready that friday of that week and it was so we kept checking on them for my car and hey kept making up excuses and finally the said that the title wasn't ready. I needed the car urgently was missing work and driving 1hr and a half back an forth, we spoke to them personally the last time and the guy ask us if we wanted to break the deal an get my check back so I said yes. We waited a whole 4wks for the car its been sitting at their dealer the whole time didnt even drive the car or took it out. They just kept telling us will be ready I two days and it increased from there..Later we found out that the dealer was being dishonest and the had closed them down. But till this point they are refusing to give me my cashiers check back, they are forcefully trying to give me the car when I dont want it anymore bought another one but need my check back and they are telling me that they cant because the title is set and I have a loan to pay. One I dont have the car nor the pay statements, plus they made me pay insurance ahead of time. I just want my check back it was a 4,000 deposit the car was also given to me at a higher prove them they had told me.Desired Settlement: I just want my 4000 check back and the contract cancelled
