Thrifty Appliance Parts Reviews (118)

The website was clear and made it easy to find my part The price was good and the part arrived on time Excellent Service!

Ordered a part for my dryer chose 3-delivery and received it in It happens, within the first week the part was found to be defective, their customer service required me to dismantle my dryer again to test all the parts, made accusations it was my fault, and after nearly a month of back and forth and hours of taking apart and reassembling my dryer, they finally filed a warrantee claim on the item and charged me again for shipment of the replacementIn my opinion the slightly cheaper item was not worth the hassle and bad customer service

Thrifty Appliance Parts does not feel that we should be penalized for this transaction as we have reached out to [redacted] multiple times with the instructions to receive a replacement, or a refund. She has not provided the information that we need to further assist her with a defective claim and still has the item in her possession. Our company would be more than happy to process this claim for her, however, in doing so we must also follow proper policies in set by our Company as well as the manufacturer directly.I have reached out to Ms. [redacted] again this past week for more information so we can have the issued resolved as per her original request. We have yet to receive any response. We feel as though we have worked directly with the customer to try and resolve the issue, with no cooperation on her end. We are more than willing to get this issue resolved, however, we must have the customer's input to do so. Please see attached for the latest email communication from our staff with no response yet. If any information is needed, or anything is unclear in this case, please let me know.Thank you,[redacted]

Got the part right on time...Easy shopping...Pictures of burner were clear and accurate...Great job....

Good afternoon! I am sorry for this inconvenience with your order. We do not have telephone services for customer service as we are an online company only. I do see that you emailed in 4 times regarding the damaged part that you received. It does not look like you are receiving our email...

responses. I am sorry about this. Sometimes our emails end up in junk folders, so you may want to check there for our response. I have attached our responses and the information that we would need to proceed with this damaged item claim. Unfortunately, our damaged items policy does not cover a refund for the damaged parts. We would be happy to send you a replacement order for the damaged part. If you are not needing a replacement order at this time, we could have an In Store Credit issued to you as a courtesy! Please let us know if either of these options appeal to you. We look forward to working with you towards a resolution. We would only need you to email us a photo of the damaged part and we will be happy to assist. Our email address is [redacted] that you can reply to at any time! Thanks[redacted]

My first interaction with Thrifty. Very positive experience; at the website it was easy to find the part I was looking for, the communications before and after placing my order were extremely fast, and the product was delivered before the expected delivery date. Thrifty was the best price on the web or at any local parts providers. If the products are good I intend to make Thrifty my prefered source for parts.
Thanks

You guys are great! I ordered a small part for my dryer and it was delivered as promised without a hitch. The fact that you do follow up with clients to make sure everything was done is amazing. Kudos to you all! I’ll recommend your services to all my friends.

Mr. [redacted] placed 2 orders on our site. Both orders were placed on Monday, May 11th, 2015 for one (1) Dishwasher Rack & Roller Replacement – Part ERWD28X10335. Two (2) transactions were processed on Mr. [redacted]’s end and two (2) order confirmation emails were sent to his email address provided...

on the orders. Both orders were shipped on Tuesday, June 23rd, 2015 via FedEx and both delivered on Thursday, June 25th, 2015 to the shipping address provided. We were contacted by Mr. [redacted] on Friday June 19th, 2015 via live chat. He was inquiring on the order status and provided our Customer Service Rep, Trevor, with order # [redacted]. Trevor checked the status of the order number provided and let Mr. [redacted] know the item was on a slight back order causing the delay. It was only when Mr. [redacted] contacted us again on July 17th, 2015 to let us know that two orders were received and provided us his email address. Checking our system using his email address instead of one (1) single order number provided us with the information that Mr. [redacted] had in fact placed two (2) orders on our site explaining the two (2) racks received. Our Customer Service provided Mr. [redacted] a Return Authorization for the one (1) additional rack that was not needed. Since the order was placed twice by Mr. [redacted] not due to an error on our end, the refund was processed based on our Standard Return Policy: Return Authorization Part(s) may not be returned without the Return Authorization. Thrifty Appliance Parts LLC has the right to refuse any unauthorized package. Any parts returned without obtaining a Return Authorization will be charged a 50% restocking fee. An unauthorized package is any part return that has not been given an RA number or any part found to have been previously installed/used. Unauthorized packages may be refused at the warehouse and returned to the sender. Customers may incur the cost of shipping the unauthorized package back to the sender. For items cancelled or returned due to reasons other than an error on our part, the actual cost of shipping will be deducted from the refund and Thrifty Appliance Parts LLC is not responsible for return postage. Parts in non-OEM packaging will be declined for a refund.Attached, I have provided the chat transcripts with our company, both Invoices showing two (2) orders placed on our site and the refund transaction showing the refund processed for the returned item. If any further information is needed or if anything is unclear, please contact me.Thank you,

I ordered a heating element from them for my dryer, I knew this was the part(s) I needed. Upon receiving the part from Thrifty I installed it correctly, and after just a couple uses multiple parts on the element failed. I contacted Thrifty to notify them that the part they sold me was defective. They told me I needed to submit the problem into a repair forum online, that they along with other appliance part companies fund by the way. I was reluctant to do this, because I knew what the problem was, and didn't need to double check it with any online forum. Upon be given a frustrating run around on the forum, I contacted Thrifty again to complain and request a replacement part, since they refused a refund upon returning the defective part they sold. I told them the problems I was having on the forum, and their only response was complete the conversation on the forum, and when one of the techs on the forum deems the part defective we'll issue a Return. So, in hitting my limit with their unsavory business practices, I took the part they sold me to a certified repair shop. They looked over and tested the Dryer assembly and found both the Thermal fuse, and thermostat to be faulty along with wiring and the unit was in their expert opinion a cheap rebuild. Thrifty appliance parts are running a scam business, where they sell faulty parts, and when they ultimately fail, give you a run around under the guise of "Professional Technicians" giving you advice, only to cover Thrifty from having to actually be accountable for selling inferior products. I am beyond unsatisfied with this company and what it is doing is illegal, and they should be held accountable for the scam business they are running.TranslateDesired Resolution / OutcomeDesired Resolution:RefundselectDesired Outcome:I want a full refund.TranslateMessage to Revdex.comI've gone through my credit card company but they were unable to do anything. I thought I opened a complaint back in November, but I never heard anything back from Revdex.com, and the issue has not been resolved.

I ordered a replacement whisk for a gift on the Wednesday before Christmas and it arrived Christmas eve in time for me to give it . It was exactly what was needed and price and delivery was fantastic!

I recently contacted Thrifty Appliance parts to get some parts to a Kitchenaid mixer I have that was my mother's. When I contacted them I spoke to an Ashley. She took time and looked for everything I needed. Unfortunately she did not have it but offered to send it over to her Research team to see if they could find it. So she took my email and said she would contact me when she has the information, but she did warn me that it may have been discontinued . She was very helpful and very nice and polite. I will be recommending they site to my friends and relatives.

I received the part I ordered in good time. I used the live chat and it was helpful. Overall I would recommend them to others.

For any incorrect items sent, we must have that information within 10 days of receipt to issue a replacement. This differs from our Standard Return Policy that Mr. [redacted] speaks of. If Mr. [redacted] would still like to return the one (1) WR24X436 GE Refrigerator Freezer Door Gasket Replacement - ERWR24X436 and/or one (1) WR24X435 GE Refrigerator Door Gasket Replacement - ERWR24X435 we would be willing to accept these back uninstalled. If Mr. [redacted] wishes to do so, we ask that he makes sure to write RA# RAtp30139969snd on the outside of the package where it is visible. Upon receiving the gasket(s) returned, we will then be able to issue Mr. [redacted] a credit for one (1) WR24X436 GE Refrigerator Freezer Door Gasket Replacement - ERWR24X436 and/or one (1) WR24X435 GE Refrigerator Door Gasket Replacement - ERWR24X435 per our standard return policy. If there is any other documentation you may need or if anything is unclear, please contact me. Thank you, [redacted], ThriftyApplianceParts

The response from this company is a lie.  I did indeed order the correct gasket, but they sent me the wrong one, not only was the part incorrect, it was poorly made, it did not have the dimensions that were listed on the package.  They gave me a name and link to the correct gasket, according to them.  But it was the wrong color, and unlike the gasket I was trying to replace, nothing about it looked like the gasket I was trying to replace.  I was upset about this, because they were trying to get out of replacing the wrong gasket they sent me.  I paid for the shipping to return the gasket they sent to me, the gasket was in the same condition as it was when I received it.  The only bend it had was the warped bent there was when I received it, (one of the reasons I wanted to return it) There was no hole in the gasket, and I returned it in the package it came in.  They said they threw the gasket away, and did not bother letting me know this, until I inquired where my refund was.  This company lies, and tries to get out of allowing returns on substandard products.  I have never dealt with such a poor company, and I continue to tell people about how dishonest this company is.  I will stand by this statement, and will not back down to the fact they are liars and crooks.

KUDOS Thrifty Appliance Parts! You guys are the BEST! Every time I need a part you are there stepping up the process. I just received my shocks for my front Loaded Whirlpool washer. It was bouncing all over the place and making such a racket. When I replaced those 4 shocks it was like it brand new (we've had it well over 14 years). I looked at these parts at other parts stores, Thrifty had them way cheaper, and it's a comparable quality item. Thank You again and I look forward to telling my friends about you.

[redacted] placed an order with our Company on Saturday, September 13, 2014 for one (1) Replacement Dishwasher Motor & Pump, Part# ERGEDWM.

Unfortunately we have been informed by the Manufacturer...

that the Replacement Dishwasher Motor & Pump, Part# ERGEDWM is on nationwide back order. Mr. [redacted] was issued a full refund of $80.20 on Wednesday, October 08, 2014. This was a credit for the shipping and the one (1) Replacement Dishwasher Motor & Pump, Part# ERGEDWM that is on nationwide back order.
Enclosed is a copy of [redacted]’ invoice and the Transaction Detail Page from our Processor showing Mr. [redacted]’ refund for the back ordered part. If there is any other documentation you may need or if anything is unclear please contact me.

Do not buy anything from Thrifty. I purchased a part for my dryer and tried to plug it into the mechanism but it wouldn't fit. I emailed Thrifty and they said I needed a different part. Of course they wanted me to buy the other part before returning the old. At least I wasn't suckered into this. Turns out, after I returned the item, they said they wouldn't credit me because it had been installed--even though I contacted them for a new part because I couldn't install it! And they "destroy" the part--they refuse to send it back to me. They're probably re-packaging it right now for another unwitting customer! Buyer Beware!!!
