Thrifty Appliance Parts Reviews (118)

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Some how this message went into my spam folder. You closed this complaint before I could answer. Thrifty did not have the 10 day contact clause in their return policy when I made this purchase. I would like you to re-open this so I can give my input. I am just asking for a refund on 1 gasket & all they did was keep stalling me.
 Regards,[redacted]

Mr. [redacted] placed 2 orders on our site. Both orders were placed on Monday, May 11th, 2015 for one (1) Dishwasher Rack & Roller Replacement – Part ERWD28X10335. Two (2) transactions were processed on Mr. [redacted]’s end and two (2) order confirmation emails were sent to his email address...

provided on the orders. Both orders were shipped on Tuesday, June 23rd, 2015 via FedEx and both delivered on Thursday, June 25th, 2015 to the shipping address provided. We were contacted by Mr. [redacted] on Friday June 19th, 2015 via live chat. He was inquiring on the order status and provided our Customer Service Rep, Trevor, with order # [redacted]. Trevor checked the status of the order number provided and let Mr. [redacted] know the item was on a slight back order causing the delay. It was only when Mr. [redacted] contacted us again on July 17th, 2015 to let us know that two orders were received and provided us his email address. Checking our system using his email address instead of one (1) single order number provided us with the information that Mr. [redacted] had in fact placed two (2) orders on our site explaining the two (2) racks received. Our Customer Service provided Mr. [redacted] a Return Authorization for the one (1) additional rack that was not needed. Since the order was placed twice by Mr. [redacted] not due to an error on our end, the refund was processed based on our Standard Return Policy: Return Authorization Part(s) may not be returned without the Return Authorization. Thrifty Appliance Parts LLC has the right to refuse any unauthorized package. Any parts returned without obtaining a Return Authorization will be charged a 50% restocking fee. An unauthorized package is any part return that has not been given an RA number or any part found to have been previously installed/used. Unauthorized packages may be refused at the warehouse and returned to the sender. Customers may incur the cost of shipping the unauthorized package back to the sender. For items cancelled or returned due to reasons other than an error on our part, the actual cost of shipping will be deducted from the refund and Thrifty Appliance Parts LLC is not responsible for return postage. Parts in non-OEM packaging will be declined for a refund.Attached, I have provided the chat transcripts with our company, both Invoices showing two (2) orders placed on our site and the refund transaction showing the refund processed for the returned item. If any further information is needed or if anything is unclear, please contact me.Thank you,

I'm glad I didn't see these negative reviews before I ordered my dryer heating element from them (via Amazon). Their price was the lowest and shipping was free!! The part arrived within a week (I didn't pay for faster shipping). It fit perfectly and worked - for 5 dryer loads. I emailed them and they replied within minutes. They said they will replace it only if their tech guy (sent me a link) said it was bad. Initially he said "if it worked for 5 loads then it's not defective." I was bummed. I sent him a picture and he suggested I installed it incorrectly. So I gave his argument back to him and said "It worked for 5 loads." He suggested I purchase another one - I politely said I didn't want to buy another, I was afraid it would happen again, especially if it was due to me installing it wrong. How would I make sure this didn't happen again? Shockingly, he said he would agree the part was defective if I agreed to pay the shipping ($6) of a replacement- and I did NOT have to return the broken one. Yea!! He even sent me a link to a different video of how to install it and told me the precise time to look at. That's great service!
I received the new part in a few days and it has worked for many more than 5 loads!
So I must disagree with the negative reviewers. This company had excellent customer service when I needed them.

Despite some apprehension after ordering the range switch (due to some negative reviews) I thought I should write to say the transaction went smooth, on time and as promised. It was installed in minutes and my wife is happy. That all makes me happy. Thank you very much.
By the way: the negative reviews did look suspicious.

I was looking for a new handle for our oven and their Chat service was incredibly helpful with sending me the link to the exact part I needed!

I am thoroughly impressed with Thrifty Appliance and their customer service! If you or anyone you know of needs a part or piece to an appliance, this is a one stop shop! I have a two year old that found it very easy to pop my old oven [redacted] off and throw it in the trash! I took matters into my own hands (without the help of Thrifty Appliance) and ordered a [redacted] just off of looks, it was the wrong [redacted], since I NEEDED an oven [redacted] I decided to try some local appliance stores to help me in locating the exact part that I needed! Upon calling the first store, I was spoken to like I was an it for not knowing how to locate the product number of my oven, probably because I was a woman, and I'm sure it is frustrating trying to explain something to someone who has no knowledge on appliances whatsoever! They quoted me $65.92 on the missing [redacted]. Eager to find something a little more reasonable I called the "best" appliance store in my area. They were great, but quoted me around the same price. In my frustration, I decided to give Thrifty Appliances another chance, but this time contacting the Customer Service department! Boy, am I glad that I did! They explained to me where I could find the serial number and product number, without any frustration or rudeness! As soon as I got that information, they sent me the direct link to order the part! I clicked the link, and was AMAZED to see a $20.00 price tag attached! No further argument or searching, I purchased RIGHT AWAY! I received the part and placed it directly on, with no trouble at all, but had I had any trouble at all, I know who I would have contacted! Thrifty Appliance is where it's at! Thank you Thrifty Appliance!!!

I ordered a heating element from them for my dryer, I knew this was the part(s) I needed. Upon receiving the part from Thrifty I installed it correctly, and after just a couple uses multiple parts on the element failed. I contacted Thrifty to notify them that the part they sold me was defective. They told me I needed to submit the problem into a repair forum online, that they along with other appliance part companies fund by the way. I was reluctant to do this, because I knew what the problem was, and didn't need to double check it with any online forum. Upon be given a frustrating run around on the forum, I contacted Thrifty again to complain and request a replacement part, since they refused a refund upon returning the defective part they sold. I told them the problems I was having on the forum, and their only response was complete the conversation on the forum, and when one of the techs on the forum deems the part defective we'll issue a Return. So, in hitting my limit with their unsavory business practices, I took the part they sold me to a certified repair shop. They looked over and tested the Dryer assembly and found both the Thermal fuse, and thermostat to be faulty along with wiring and the unit was in their expert opinion a cheap rebuild. Thrifty appliance parts are running a scam business, where they sell faulty parts, and when they ultimately fail, give you a run around under the guise of "Professional Technicians" giving you advice, only to cover Thrifty from having to actually be accountable for selling inferior products. I am beyond unsatisfied with this company and what it is doing is illegal, and they should be held accountable for the scam business they are running.

I've gone through my credit card company but they were unable to do anything. I thought I opened a complaint back in November, but I never heard anything back from Revdex.com, and the issue has not been resolved.

Ashely on chat was very helpful and knowledgable thru out process.

This customer placed an order on our site on 01/16/2015 for 1 Refrigerator Freezer Door Gasket Replacement - Part ER241872509. [redacted] contacted us on 01/26/2015 regarding the...

order stating that the gasket was incorrect and would not fit onto the door. We further assisted this customer locate the correct part listed for their Refrigerator. Ms. [redacted] ordered part ER241872509, but the correct gasket replacement for her unit was part ER241872503. The dimensions for the part received were incorrect because the part ordered and received was not the correct dimensions for her refrigerator. After further contact, we provided Ms. [redacted] with a Return Authorization on 01/27/2015. She was highly upset that this was not a prepaid label. Return shipping is only covered by our company if the error was on our end. The customer received the part that she ordered, unfortunately, this was not the correct replacement for her unit resulting in the gasket not fitting. This gasket was returned to our facility on 02/11/2015. The gasket was not returned in it's original condition. The gasket had a bent frame and a hole in the gasket where this was attempted to be installed. Per our Standard Return Policy, we are unable to accept any returns of items that have been used, or altered from their new and original condition as we cannot sell these as new replacements.
I have attached the email history, our Return Policy, as well as the photos of the gasket from our Returns Department. If any further information is needed or if anything is unclear, please contact me.
Thanks,

After years with repairclinic.com and noticing the prices for parts climbing every year.. I decided to try a price comparison. Finding Thrift Appliance Parts had the same exact item for more than $25.00 less and had free shipping I ordered immediately. Pleasantly surprised to revive an email later that day that the item had shipped. The same day, and less? I have found my new repair parts partner. Thank you!

I ordered a new heating element for my dryer($75), it was the incorrect part(on my part). As soon as I saw the part I knew it wasn't the correct one, looked nothing like the one I needed. I didn't even take the part out of the box! Contacted thrifty appliances, purchased the correct part($32), they wouldn't tell me how to return the wrong part until I purchased the new one. Sent the other part back($15 shipping). They are claiming that the part I sent back is damaged(didn't even take it out of the box) and they can't refund my money. So now I've paid twice for shipping on one part, and they are claiming I damaged it!!! And refuse to return my money.

The dual inline water valve I purchased worked perfectly. Shipping was fast and the price was unbeatable. It was a pleasure doing business with you.

We will be happy to issue the customer a refund of the part as long as they return it in the same condition they received it in. As per our Return Policy installed items are not processed for refunds. The customer has already been provided the option of returning the part for a refund as long as...

they agree to the Terms of returning an item. They are aware of the policy and as long as they comply and return the part in the same condition they received it in a refund for the cost of the part will be issued. We do not keep parts returned to us that are installed, they are disposed of and not resold. The customer has yet to return the item to us. We cannot honor a refund request until the part is returned to us not installed/used and in the same condition it was received in.

Good price fast service good packaging I'll be back

Chat Line service was very helpful getting the part. Now I'll have to see if it fits when it get's here. Thanks D[redacted]

I highly recommend this business. I chatted with Ashley and she was more than helpful getting my account in order.

Paid a$18.95 for a "2 day shipping".
It does appear that after 4 days, no merchandise and we will see if it will arrive on the 5th day. Contacted business via email, was told the 2 days are their "business days", not shipper's method of over night delivery on Saturday as it misleads one to think. They appear to have a very short business day. Some one was sleeping on the job. If offered 2 days shipping, they apparently are not on the job.
Furthermore, it was shipped priority USPS snail mail, instead of 2 day shipping as the wording stated. Ask for refunding the difference between 2 days and 5 days (if it does arrive on the 5th day), was told, check their policy on line. No refund, just a $5 coupon for future purchases. Buyers be aware. The person has "Brittany" as contact name.

I purchased a water inlet valve for my washer on 1/5/2016. I received a dryer heating element on 1/8/2016. I notified them right away, never took the part out of the box, and asked to have the correct part shipped asap.
I had to send photos of the part, the box, and send information on the colors of stamps on the packing slip before I received a return authorization. once I received that, I had to notify them when I shipped the part back to them.
it's now 1/13 10 am and haven't received any information that my part (that I paid for on 1/5) has shipped. I was told that as soon as I did each of the list above I would have the correct part shipped. I feel like i've been strung along for a week all for nothing.

this company does not care at all about the customer and feel like i've been taken. when (if) I receive my part, i'm wondering how good it will be or if it will even work.

this is a shady company and definitely wouldn't recommend anyone using them.
