Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:This is all lies. If your statement was true why did you include the rental amount on my check request which I still have a copy yet refused to submit the balance of the check, the 317.00, not only that the 317.00 didn't even cover the cost of the rental. I think that they should cover the whole cost of the rental. It wasn't my decision to get the rental. They told me they didn't have a loaner and that was my only way to get home which was why I got the rental they promised to reimburse me for.  How is it possible to not put me in the carI wanted but yet could lower the apr to pay less money monthly after putting me in a car not of my choice. My credit report was almost 600. After running it and for some reason still running it, it went down to 440.please explain these claim against toyota universe. I actually trusted [redacted]  You don't do things like this to make a sale

go through everything that they put me through and make the decisions that I was basically forced to make. They lied to me and took advantage of the business trust I thought I could have in a company like that.

Review: The sales person put the wrong the wrong address 3 years ago ,which cause my car to be repo. I had a late payment to start with. It put a dent on my credit, because of it they are giving me a hard time to purchase a vehicle. It was leased to buy from the same place.Desired Settlement: The purchase my vehicle, or my credit report fixed. Do to their negligent.

Review: On Saturday, June 6, I went to Toyota Universe to purchase of a Prius. My salesman offered an extended test drive so that I can truly get a feel for the car. I left my Lexus on the lot on Saturday with no issues. Upon picking up my vehicle today, I had a "Check System" light appear as well as the tire pressure indicator when I started my engine. This light was not on when I dropped it off. I called my salesman and he said he pressed some buttons but to take it to Service and they would fix it. After waiting for close to an hour, Paul S[redacted] informed me that they did not cause this engine notification, and that it’s because my car is old. My car is 8 years old but I have maintained it as suggested by my Lexus dealer to ensure the proper upkeep of the car. Mr. S[redacted] proceeded to tell me that he is not responsible and if he ran my VIN in the system, he is sure he would have found that I have had this problem before, which I have not. I told him to run it, and that I kept up with my maintenance and I never had this issue before, but he just kept repeating that the car is old and hasn’t been maintained. When I would try to explain how frustrating it is to drop off a vehicle that was fine to then pick it up with some major issue, he kept saying that I was interrupting him and wasn’t listening. After asking him what the next step was to get the car fixed, he threw my keys at me and told me to bring it to the Lexus dealer and have them fix it. When I said that I would then be responsible for the payment even though I left a perfectly fine vehicle in their possession, he told me that he didn’t care and it wasn’t his concern. As I walked out, I was given no guidance and had to walk around pressing my alarm button to find my car. I have never been spoken to in such an offensive manner. If a notification came on in their possession, why wasn’t I made aware of it? I cannot understand how I leave the car in one status, yet have to pick it up and deal with a costly repair now.Desired Settlement: I would like this engine issue repaired and restored to the same condition as when I left my vehicle in their possession.

Response:

[redacted] came in at 7:30 last night. She was working a deal with sales on a new car and had taken one home on an extended test drive on Saturday 6/6. She left her Lexus here on the lot over the weekend. When she came to retrieve the vehicle last night there was a check engine light on and her tire pressure light was on. We ran a diagnostic check and our computer stataed that the engine light was do to a Catalitic converter code and tire light was do to unresponsive sensors in the tires not registering. [redacted] felt that we had somehow sabataged her car and caused these lights to come on. I explained that the code was do to a failed part and there was nothing we could have done to cause it. Unfortunately [redacted] was quite upset, and unwilling to listen to my explination of how a catalitic converter works. They do fail over time but only over a long time. If this was the first time it had come on it was a very strange coincidence but again nothing that was within our power. Her car was parked on our lot. Noone in our service department had looked at the car until she brought it to us last night. [redacted] demanded we reair her car. I told her that was impossible as we did not have anything to do with it breaking down. She then threatened to call you organization citing the success her coworker had whit this and told me I would have to repair the car. I tried to reason with her and asked what motivation we would possibly have to cause her vehicle to need a repair and her response was I do not know but your reputation is proof enough. I told her she could seek a second oppinion at the Lexus store accross the street. She missunderstood and said why should she spend the money. I informed her that this store was a sister store of ours and they would perform the diagnostic free of charge. I do not know what more I could have done for [redacted]. It is unfortunate that she believes us capable of such a dishonest action due to advice of a coworker but be that as it may there is no possible way we could have caused this problem on her car, nor do we accept any responsibility for a mechanical failure of a vehicle that is simply being parked here over night. We have not entered into any contract with [redacted] in our service department, so she has no claim as far as any warranty. We simply provided a free inspection and retrieved the codes from her computer at her behest.

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

Indeed the service department at this dealership does have a poor reputation, not only online but from multiple people I know and trust. While I do not know why or how the lights came on, it is upsetting to leave the car in one piece to then pick it up in another. That apparently is a concept that is difficult to comprehend. The manager insinuated that I was stupid several times, and that I did not keep up the maintenance of my vehicle. The fact that keys were thrown at me is completely unacceptable. He suggested that I take it over to Lexus not because they are apart of the same company, but because he was no longer his problem. They are in a business that deals with customers, and from my interaction with the manager yesterday evening, customer service is not a priority. It was inappropriate and belittling to be spoken to in a manner that insinauted, because I was female, I could not grasp what was wrong with my car. Their position that they are not responsible for the vehicle may be one thing, but their position that they tried to assist me in completely false, and unacceptable. Businesses should not be allowed to treat people in this manner.

Review: I have had my car for about 5 months, and I have been lied to about the car being in such perfect conditions. I have been back to the dealer 7 or 8 times for issues. I was promised new matts for my car by my sales person Kevin A[redacted] because the actual floor on my car had a huge hole in it. After a month or two of chasing him he gives me used rugs because he couldn't get new ones. Then he calls me one day to ask me about the car and its conditions, I mentioned to him that I nearly killed myself getting on route 80 because my battery was literally dead and my stereo wheel locked as I was driving and knowing that I had to pay for my battery when I still have warranty he promised to submit a form and see if they could at least get some money back and he would call me the next day. 2 months pass and I have not only called his job but his cell phone and he would not pick up or return my messages. After speaking to his manager he also promised to give me a call back after speaking to Kevin A[redacted] and its been 2 weeks and has yet to call me after he said he would call me the same day. My car has not only been back to the dealer for a battery but also for rotors, radio static, ignition and even once during my appointment I waited three hours and they forgot to look at my car because Kevin A[redacted] didn't inform anyone that my car was there leaving me crying in front of people out of straight frustration. Honestly this has been the worse customer service ever and as I regret buying this horrible car I regret giving them my service and leaving me wishing that I would go to a Honda dealer where I once got amazing service. This is extremely frustrating for me to buy a used car and promised that I wouldn't have any issues and as soon as I get the car until now that's all I have. I expect to have issues on a used car because it is used and I will run into issues but not many issues in 5 months. I have told them that I was contacting Revdex.com and have yet to hear from them. Some businessDesired Settlement: Give my money for the battery, new matts that I was promised, and to actually get a phone call back like I was promised. I am paying thousands of dollars for a car I expect to feel like it is worth having this car.

Review: in 2008 we went to Toyota Universe and purchased a used Hyundai Santa Fe a certified bank check was used to pay for the car in full. We are trying to sell the car currently to find out that for some reason toyota universe and soverign bank placed a lien against the car. the bank cannot find any record or reason why there is a lien because they have a copy of the certified bank check but 13 days later they still will not produce a letter to release the lien because they insist there is a reason they must have put a lien on the title of the car. In 13 days a reason should have been found, there has never been loan on the car the money was used directly from our bank account that we have in sovereign to produce the certified bank check. Toyota universe tells us that they always place a lien because the car was paid by check and the bank should be able to send us a release. unfortunately at this time the car has been sold but the buyer cannot register the car in NJ due to the lien and we have patiently been requesting the release form for the past 13 days with no success at all. We have gone to the bank the certified check was issued, we have call the main number for sovereign and requested to speak to the highest person we can. even requested to speak to someone in the department that has to release the form only to be told they have no phones. I find that really hard to believe and this is an absolute disgrace that we cannot even trust our banks to give us certified bank checks to purchase items as they screw up and cannot even admit they made a mistake. now the buyer wants his money back and we already used the money as a down payment for our new car. so all in all we lose in many fashions. Toyota universe had no right to put a lien on a car that is paid in full with a certified bank check.Desired Settlement: I want the title cleared so this car can be registered to the new owner ASAP or someone will have to reimburse the owner and it should not have to be me.

Business

Response:

Problem has been resolve lein has been taken off the title by customers bank.

Consumer

Response:

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: a lien should never have been put on the title since the car was paid in full with a certified bank check with no loans or money borrowed from the bank. this caused us to lose money and time.

Regards,

Business

Response:

After further conversation with the customer there is nothing more that Toyota Universe can do to satisfy her. The bank that Kathy used gave us instruction in writing to attach a lein on her automobile as a condition of accepting their certified check. The bank states that this was in error but how were we to know? Once the lein is attached it is up to the lein holder to provide a release. We are unable to as we are not the lein holder. Although the back has admitted they were at fault Kathy still feels we were part of the problem. I cannot do anything more to help as the problem was already rectified as she was supplied the lein release letter from the bank. At this point we consider this case to be closed. Sincerely, [redacted]Toyota Universe[redacted]

Review: Took car for servicing. It was suggested that a transmission flush was needed among other services. I had an experienced mechanic look at the car today sunday 8/10/14. The transmission fluid is dirty as if it was never changed. I'd like a representative from the servicing department address this. This flush was an expensive maintenance item and if it was not done or done incorrectly or in an incomplete manner, it must be addressed.Desired Settlement: Refund charges to credit card

Business

Response:

JUST SPOKE TO THE REP [redacted] ABOUT THIS ANDHE EXPLAINED TO ME THAT THE TRANSMISSION FLUID IN THIS TRANSMISSION WS TURN BLACK AND IS NORMAL, BY CONVENTIONAL CHECKING ONE WOULD THINK THAT IT NEEDS TO BE REPLACED BUT THAT ISNT THE CASE I WILL REACH OUT TO THE CUSTOMER TO MAKE HIM AWARE OF IT. Review: I used to be a customer when I lived nearby (car service). I have since moved and I have informed them to take me off the calling list at least 4 times. I have spoken with individuals each time who claim to take me off the list, but I still get automated calls all starting with "Hello, while you were away we saved an important message for you...Hello this is (name) from Toyota Universe..." I can get as many as 4 of these calls per week. I've requested to have my number removed on 7/7/15, 7/21/15, 9/9/15, and today 9/24/15 (also requested to remove on other dates before 7/7, my phone only saved call logs up until that date). When I requested on 9/9, I did not get a call again...until today. Complaint has also been filed with FCC.Desired Settlement: I just need my number to be taken off their list. Whoever is in charge of this automated list at their company needs to be reprimanded because I'm noticing it is not just me who is having the same problem with this company.

I would also suggest they change their automated message. It always states "While you were away..." I'm never away when they call, I'm picking up the phone. Very misleading, unprofessional and very annoying.

Review: I have called them previously to inquire about their cars, but did not decide to purchase from them. However, they have called repeatedly despite my requests to be taken off their calling list. Today, a gentleman called and I requested to be taken off their calling list and asked multiple times for his name. He sidestepped my question and only said he would take me off the list, which I doubt he has.Desired Settlement: I request they not only stop trying to contact me, but honor to requests to be taken off their call list. Review: The seller contacted me , by phone, in response to a request made on a AAA web site, for a car. I called and asked if the estimated price quoted by AAA of, $23,663, would be honored and zero interest included. The answer was yes, but I must bring in the "Guaranteed Saving Certificate" so I arranged to meet with the representative, [redacted], on 6/19/2014.

However, I decided to take the " Guaranteed Savings Certificate" there on 6/16/2014 and left it with [redacted] to pass on to [redacted] .

On 6/19/2014, [redacted] greeted me and introduced me to [redacted] who completed the paperwork which included the rebate of $1500 and %financing. However, he did not have the "Guaranteed Saving Certificate" but had the information.

VIP Security system(v50), $1500 cast back was not provided.Desired Settlement: Honor the AAA quote as agreed of $23643,VIP Security System % interest plus Factory Cash Back incentive.

Total Refund of money

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Regards,

Review: The dealership agreed to sell me a new car in exchange for a trade-in on my existing car (which they valued at $8,000) and $25,500 in cash, all-in. I paid the full amount in cash and left with the car. Afterwards, the dealership claimed that I owed another $3,000 -- that the amount of $25,500 was in addition to my initial deposit of $3,000.

This was clearly untrue since (i) I shook hands on a total cash price of $25,500; (ii) when I picked up the car, the finance representative confirmed that $22,500 was the full amount remaining; (iii) I paid the full amount in cash and would have paid the additional $3,000 in cash as well, if this had been the agreed upon price; (iv) the dealership gave me the keys to the new car without requiring any further agreement on payment, which would have been the case if they had beli[redacted]d I owed them another $3,000; and ( v) I could have purchased the car at another dealership for $27,000 -- so obviously I wouldn't have agreed to pay $28,500 at this dealership.

Finally, knowing that the temporary plates were set to expire, I went to the dealership and forced them to schedule a meeting -- since they hadn't returned my calls or answered my letter. (Despite my repeated requests, the General Manager refused to meet with me.) When I returned for the meeting, the dealership insisted that I pay the additional $3,000. When I pointed out I could have purchased the car at a dealership for $27,000, they agreed to take $1500 instead. To get the plates, I had to pay this amount.

When the plates were dropped off, the salesman provided me with a release. At first, he said that the paper was just to confirm that I had received the plates. When I said it looked like a release, he said it was for the dealership to release claims against me. When I said it looked like I was releasing claims, he admitted it was my release of the dealership and that I "had to" sign the release to receive the plates.

I refused to sign and took the plates.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of the $1500 that I paid above the agreed upon price.

In addition, I would like the Revdex.com to be aware of the deceptive and unfair selling practices at this dealership. There appears to be a pattern and practice of willful behavior to deceive the customer.

Business

Response:

Mrs [redacted] has a written retail order that she signed which saids 28500. She as well has stated to us she is attorney so I am very sure she read it completely before signing it and when she came into the dealership it was at our request .At this time we came to a settlement with her in regards to the balance of 3000.00 which was for 1500.00 .When the salesperson deliver her plates to her home it was a release stating the aggrement we had came to the day before that release would have protect her from us going after her for any further monies or involving a collection agency. Which we haven't done because we did a settlement on good faith.

Consumer

Response:

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: It is simply untrue. I signed a retail order that stated I owed $25,500 in cash (plus trade in). [redacted]ry action of the dealership proves that this was the deal, including accepting payment in full for this amount and allowing me to leave the dealership with the car. There is no mistake about the amount owed. The dealership simply lied to get more money after the deal closed. The same way that the dealership lied when trying to get me to sign a release but pretended it was something else.

Regards,

Business

Response:

We have no problem standing behind the sign retail order. Mrs. [redacted] can bring it into the dealer anytime she wants and we will honor it.

Consumer

Response:

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: the dealer has a copy of the order (I don't need to bring it to them). The last number on the order reads $25,500 but they are lying to by saying that this is in addition to the $3,000 deposit (not the full amount). If the dealer wishes to honor the order, they can refund the $1,500 I had to pay above the agreed upon price. (I am [redacted] entering that dealership again.)

Review: I leased a vehicle on January 2nd. I traded in a car to the dealership and they agreed to pay off the car. I have a signed contract as well. The payment for the old vehicle is two weeks past due and it is affecting my credit score. They keep calling me everyday for payment and toyota still has not made payment to them. Also my registration and plate for the new car expires January 31st. I need the old car paid off without this affecting my credit. I am not getting proper communication from the dealership and have been told two different stories. I need to have this resolved.Desired Settlement: I would my credit score unaffected and a discount off the monthly payments for this huge inconvenience.

Review: I was given a coupon code for $25 [redacted] for test driving a car at toyota universe. After test drive on Dec 15, 2015, they said they will take care of it. I happened to like another car and once again test drive the card, we could not reach a price agreement, therefore I decided not to buy from this dealer.

I have now followed up for atleast 20 times and they just don't bother to redeem the $25 voucher. I understand since, the were unable to sell a card to me they don't bother now.

GINA and John (the sales person) are the two people who have been ignoring.

It seems they are in the practice of duping customer with this type of voucher tactics,

Review: On 09/06/2014 l bought a new car (Toyota Corolla 2014). l came from [redacted] and the sales person l dealt with promised me that indeed it was okay for me to buy the car there and that they would handle all the taxes and registration, which was supposed to take at least 110 days. I left and went back to [redacted] with the car that had temporary plates supposed to expire on the 09/25/14. l did all l had to do like proved my income and get full coverage for the car within 3 days as l had been instructed.

Weeks went by and the plates for my car never came. l called the salesman l dealt with who then referred me to the lady that was supposed to be registering my car. First, she said she had all she needed and was working on everything. l called her again and she then told me she was still waiting on some documentation from the sales department. She then referred back to the salesman who also claimed not to know what else she needed. He promised to talk to her and call me back but never did and from there on, they all started avoiding my calls. l called several times and requested to speak to a supervisor all in vain. After a few days of trying to talk to someone, to find out what was going on, l was finally referred to my salesman supervisor who told me that the process was still being delayed by the DMV and he advised me to give it 7-10 business days as per registry clerk. l waited and after that period l called again only to find out that what the supervisor had said was false since they had never contacted the DMV or even filed anything at all.

The temporary plates expired and l also got a letter from my insurance alerting that the insurance for the car will be cancelled as of the 10/14/14 due to the fact that the car lacked [redacted] plates. l informed the company and also informed them of my trouble finding parking due to lack of a resident sticker. they promised to get me parking and a loaner car but like before, they never came through. Still no plates.Desired Settlement: As of today 10/14/14, l still have no plates for the car and l have so far received 2 tickets for parking the car where l have no right to park it. l need the to pay for those tickets and any that l get from now on till l get my plates. l also need an apology from the company for the way l have been treated by its employees.

I am rejecting this response because: They have never made an effort to contact me and explain the situation and upto this day l don't actually know what is taking this long to get plates for my car. They say they have talked to me, but that's not actually true because all contact l have had with them, l have initiated and have gone nowhere as l still have no plates or know why not. The other reason l'm rejecting their response is because I'm still getting tickets to this day ( 9 and counting) and besides saying they'll pay for them, they have not specified when or how yet they start accumulating interest after 21 days. I need [redacted] to know when lm getting my plates, how they intend to deal with the tickets and an apology. I don't think that's too much to ask for.

Regards,

Review: Attempted to purchase a vehicle from salespersons [redacted]l/[redacted]) all which made promises on price, loan, condition, and follow-up. The price on the internet was unusually low for the stated condition on their website. [redacted] the "internet manager" promised both great pricing and great service guaranteed. [redacted] admitted that their internet price tends to be aggressive so that they can get people to visit the dealership. [redacted] indicated that he could get me an out the door price not much higher than internet price as well as repair existing minor damage on the vehicle consisting of several small dents. Once I ran a credit report and received approval I am left for an hour waiting for finance. I inform yet another gentleman named [redacted] that I cannot continue waiting due to a previous appointment (I had already spent 5 hours at the dealership) they promised to hold the vehicle and follow-up with me - that was the last time I heard from this dealership. I sent emails to all parties previously mentioned and placed several phone calls. This is the most unprofessional dealership I have had the misfortune to walk in. They do a disservice to both Toyota and the people of New Jersey...STAY AWAY!Desired Settlement: Provide assurance in email that my personal information has been destroyed as well as an explanation for the lack of professionalism exhibited by a small army of employees at their dealership.

Regards,

We Test Drove the car. All was well. They allegedly ran our credit and all checked out. After 3 hours of discussion on a vehicle including terms etc, and shaking hands on a deal they come back to the desk and tell us that they ran the wrong persons credit and all of the a sudden the deal was off the table (This occurred while they were preparing the car and buying insurance). A few issues here.
1) How could they have made this mistake with a license and all paperwork in hand
2) How could they run someones credit who is not present and did not sign the disclosure
3) How do you shake hands on a deal after numerous times of going back to the finance desk (where you could have caught the discrepancy over the past 3 hours)
Let me say that the sales people were good Sal did a great job and [redacted] did great as well building good rapport, ETC. That does not however excuse the lack of professionalism that the above exemplified. Do not shop here. You run the risk of having your credit run in error for the next person looking to purchase a vehicle..... Buyer Beware!!!!

Review: Almost 2 years after they sold a car (I was a co-signer in the original purchase) they've pulled my credit score again without any authorization - in fact I was't in contact with them for almost two years.

I am rejecting this response because:

It's been 2 months after the incident and I still didn't receive a form to sign. I don't want anyone visiting my house, I don't think that's normal for business. Just send it by a regular post or email and I'll review.

Review: A- I purchased a 2011 toyota camry on 03/14/15 from this dealer and they gave me 20 days temporally tags and promise me the plate and registration before the temporally tag expire on APRIL 02 .now the sale person who sell the car to me told me that to call his cellphone if I need anything help now on my way home with the car I notice that the mirror on car has different color and I send him the picture and he said he will talk to his manager to see what he can do about it .now on 03/25/15 I call him to remember him when I will get the tag and he said as soon as they get the plate from [redacted] MOTOR VIHICLE he will do overnight shipping and I will get it on time. then 30th I call him no answer ,1st of april no answer and 2nd the day the temporally tag expire no answer from him and no reply of my text messages until now when I have want to speak with someone at the dealership its too hard for them to help sometimes they just hang up the phone and finally when I have chance to speak with my saler manager about the issue he said that I need to provide them my STATE INSPECTION for the vehicle as soon as possible and I drove the car with expire tag to do that and send them the copy with express shipping .now we are on 8th of the month still nothing and I call my MOTOR VEHICLE DEPARTMENT today to check if the car was at least been register yet in the system and they say no they couldn't find any information about the VIN number I gave them .and I been calling calling them I can't get anybody over the phone to explain to me what is going on.

And my frustration is that I get the car to use it for work and now I'm home without doing nothing for a week [redacted] bank fees over $1000 and NEW JERSEY STATE requisition fees almost $1400 is not showing on the contract but what I notice here sale person add those fees to the initial price of the car and when I ask him why those fees are not the contract he didn't provide me no answer.

C-he promise me the 2nd key of the car but nothingDesired Settlement: I want them to take their car back and refund my down payment .emotionally I'm depress about this already I don't want to go through this .im very stress about the issue already I'm home and I can't go to work for week now and I have bunch of bills on my table .I want them to end the contract and I will bring the car back to them and have my refund .

I am rejecting this response because:because I send them the state inspection on 04/03/15 and I after couple days I called my dmv to check the status of the car and it still nothing can't be found .now on 04/15/15 I receive call from them and this time they say I don't have insurance on car and I told them the day I bough the car I bough insurance on car before drive it home and I provide the seller the copy of my insurance and they say they don't have it to send them another one which I did right the way .before that I call toyota corporation and I speak to them and they say their dealer should give at least 45 days of temporary tag that no dealer give 20 days of temporary tag and the agent call them to get the problem fix as soon as possible and that is why next day they come with the insurance not on car .now they said if I can come and get loaner car I told the operator that I live in [redacted] and she said there is nothing she can do and I email her back ask her that I can get rental car here or loaner car at toyota dealership here if they can get in touch with any of them and she never reply my email.now today 04/23/15 I receive call from them again saying to go rent a car but my plate will be send overnight in 1 days .so I will go now rent car for 1 day so what about the 21 days I spend home without be able to go to work when they refused to extend the temporary tag and rent me car here .now they are asking me to go rent car for 1 day .its frustrating and ridiculous .I can feel how they discriminate me now and I don't have no other choice left now than to sue them .they need to pay for their action and never do this to anyone else again.

Review: Good Morning,

On 12-19-13, I responded to Toyota Universe looking to purchase two used vehicle, one for myself and the other for my daughter. I spoke with a sales representative, [redacted] exactly what my purpose was. I advised him that I was advised by [redacted] that I could end my lease and they would cover the remaining payments. I went there and realized that I needed two vehicle for the price of one. I was offered that by Toyota Universe, they would cover my remaining balance since I was purchasing to vehicles. I advised them that my daughter had to be present to pick her first vehicle and we confirmed the appointment on 12-21-13. I responded back with my daughter at my scheduled appointment 1:00pm est and did not leave until after 10:00pm est with two vehicles. I recently received a liability reminder from [redacted] dating 4-16-14 indicating that I owe them $2,672.32. I immediately contacted [redacted] and they advised me that I had 4 remaining payments left, disposition fee, DAMAGE FEE, and late fees. Yes I will take the responsibility of the late fees of $405.16. I was advised that they did receive a payment on 1-6-14 from Toyota Universe of $3200.00 and received the vehicle on 2-12-14. On 5-1-14, I then contacted Toyota Universe and spoke with a male, [redacted] who stated that they would resolve the problem but I had to call back at 1130am est. I called back and was contacted to a woman, [redacted], who was very nasty. We conferenced the call with [redacted] and they provided her with the same information. I explained to [redacted] everything that I was promised and she stated that she would make sure they handle my complaint. I called 5-1, 5-2, 5-7, and 5-9, now there's no return calls. I explained to her that [redacted], Manager [redacted], guaranteed me that all matters will be handled. I sat there for 9 hours, left with two cars, took pictures of my returned vehicle ([redacted]), and I was Mr. [redacted] 1st customer, which they allowed me to cut his tie!!!!Desired Settlement: I am willing to pay the $405.16 for late fees but they held onto the vehicle for almost 2 months before returning and why was the vehicle damaged. I have photos of the vehicle once I turned it over to them. I have leased several vehicles in the past and never had this experience. I have received money back from other vehicles for outstanding care and lease agreements. I am a single parent with a daughter, who has excelled and beginning college this fall and the vehicle is purchased was well deserved. But they are now placing me in a bind when they failed their promises. Your assistance in this matter is greatly appreciated.
