Trans Van Lines Reviews (%countItem)

Don't use them because if you do I promise you, it'll be bad.
I did a long distance move from south Florida to Rhode Island. They destroyed a lot of my property. Must've left some of my boxes in the rain because my clothes and linens were wet, bled on by dye, Black from mold, and stunk so bad that I had to throw 3 large boxes of clothes and linens out. I had a 6ft wooden bookcase that was so destroyed that it couldn't even be taken off the truck. After paying almost $*** once they got my money they changed. If you get the 2nd option on the contract you might as well say goodbye to your stuff because they make it impossible for you to get compensated for their total irresponsibility. They also broke all the glass of my beautiful maple china cabinet. They totally devastated my moving experience.

Desired Outcome

refund my money

Lack of consideration when handling my personal belongings, leading to a brand new "TV being damaged beyond repair. Company takes no responsibility.
The most unprofessional, inconsistent, disrespectful, careless, etc company I've ever had to deal with in any capacity. I was moving a small studio apartment across the country & had nothing but issues from the moment my personal belongs were picked up on 08/20/2018. I was told on a recorded call on Friday, 08/17/2018, with salesman *** & ***' "Manager", ***, that my items would be insured if I packed them & allowed the foreman, ***, to see inside the boxes before finally closing them up. When the foreman showed up & was provided the recorded call he said that was a lie & my items would not be covered since I packed them. He also said the total for the move was over $*** more than originally quoted. When the shipment finally arrived on 09/16/2018, there were crushed boxes & damaged items. The highest priced item was my brand new " LG TV (Model *** the screen was shattered. I was informed that they were only responsible for $***/lb/item. I have my original receipt from Best Buy, TV purchased 5/25/2018 for $***. I would not be getting anywhere close to that amount, not even enough to cover the taxes. I attempted to contact the VIP Customas Care department for the moving company & was treated so poorly by not only the receptionist, *** but the Executive Director, *** Phone calls never returned, emails never replied to, condescending conversations, etc. Now I'm left without a TV & they take no responsibility for the item they packed with their moving blankets, their TV box, their packing tape, & moved with whomever they contracted to make the drive/load & unload, etc

This move cost me $***, from FL to CA, & now I'm being told I will only get $***/lb for my brand new TV by VIP Customer Care Executive Director, *** The moving company is able to handle items in any way they chose with no real repercussions. They take no responsibility for their carelessness. Their customer service is null & void of any empathy.

On top of what I paid for the moving company, when the delivery truck showed up to my home the driver said he was worried about getting a ticket in the loading & unloading zone. I had to rent a uhaul ($*** additional out of my pocket) for the driver to offload my items onto at an offsite parking lot. He then informed me his obligation was over. He made his offload. What he failed to do, that I also paid for & did not receive, was the delivery & offload to the loacation on my contract. I had to take the uhaul home & offload it myself.

From the sales process through the delivery & dealings with customer service for this company, I have been beyond disappointed. I have so much documentation of their lack of concern & follow through. They have consistently shown bad faith in their business practices.

This company should not being doing business. They are ripping the consumer off & not being held accountable in any way. They can damage & vandalize other peoples belongings that they have worked hard for & are entrusting into the care, custody, & control of this moving company... Just for the moving company to disrespect & damage these items with no regard or accountably.

I have delt with *** salesman, ***' "manager" (as introduced by *** in a recorded call): ***, ***: receptionist, ***: receptionist for VIP Customer Care, Margaret Lombardi: Exec. Director for VIP Customer Care, Foreman: ***, ***'s Supervisor: ***

The other damaged items include: a metal 2 drawer filing cabinet (top drawer crushed in, packed by the moving company), a set of 12 wine glasses shattered, a glass lantern broken, a 60 yr old Iranian lamp broken.

Desired Outcome

I would like my TV they packed with all their packing blankets, their TV box, their packing tape and entrusted into their care, custody and control repalced. I would like the value for the other items damaged or broken in order to replace or repair those items. I am able and willing to provide them with an original receipt for the TV and I would like the full value of a TV of like, kind, and quality.

They destroyed a lot of my property.

Bad Experience!!!

furniture was supposed to be delivered weeks ago,
we have paid 3/4 of the fee for the move, and were supposed to have the furniture weeks ago. when you call the place, all you can do is leave a message, no one ever calls back. we don't know where the furniture is, just that it is in storage. There has also been charges that were disclosed in the beginning.

Desired Outcome

we want the furniture delivered and the bill adjusted. This whole move has been a joke and no one from the company will call back

When I made the agreement with Trans Van Line, they guaranteed me if anything broke from point A to B they would repair it, 100 percent.
I moved from Chicago, IL to Memphis, TN and had to be at our new apartment by August 10,2018. I was shopping around for moving companies. One morning in late July I received a call from *** (sales rep) from Trans Van Line, and she gave me a quote of $ *** dollars for the total move. It was to good to be true, because *** promised me the world, insuring me if any of my household items would break that their Insurance would cover it. I agreed on hiring Trans Van Line for my move to Memphis. A few days later I was trying to contact *** for some questions I had regarding my move and she never returned a call and It seemed that her co-workers would lie and cover for her so she would't take my phone call. The moving day finally came (08-06-2018) and the actual movers were fast and efficient , but they brought a smaller truck than I expected, meaning that the quote *** originally gave me had changed because they charge by square foot and my items took up most of the truck space meaning I paid a grand total ***. I felt like I got blind sided especially because the movers already had all my stuff on the truck so I felt obligated to pay. I gave the movers my downpayment I had from the originally quote, and I had to run to the bank to wire Vans Trans Line the rest of the 70% so my stuff to get moved. *** also promised me that my items would arrive between 2-5 business day, and of course that was another lie because once I got on the phone with dispatch they told me that my stuff was going to take between 10 business days. My Items finally arrived to Memphis on XX-XX-XXXX but without a doubt their was another issue that came up. Dispatched called me and warned me if their Semi-Truck didn't fit on the property that I had two options 1) The movers park the truck on the Main Street and carry everything and they would charge for ever 75 feet or 2) The movers will rent a smaller truck , transfer my stuff and then deliver it to me for an additional *** dollars besides the 30 % I owed of course I went with option #2,I was really disappointed. Once all my stuff was delivers , I was so happy but came to find out that one of my Wooden dining room chair came broken from the back. The movers gave me their Claims customer service dept number XXX-XXX-XXXX and I made the claim a few days later on XX-XX-XXXX regarding the chair, they told me an adjuster would call me between 2-5 business days and till this day I haven't gotten a phone call back. I've called them multiple times requesting to talk to an adjuster but they give me the same excuse. The last time I called was on XX-XX-XXXX and nothing has happened yet. I'm very dissatisfied with Trans Van Lines.

Desired Outcome

What I an trying to resolve is too have my chair fixed. I gave Trans Van Line all of my Funiture in perfect condition and they give me a broken chair. That's not right , the way run their business. I would like for someone to call me back with a solution on how they can fix my chair.

Trans Van Lines quoted me a price of approx.
$*** to move belongings from Jacksonville, Fl to San Antonio,TX. Now they are quoting me app $***.
Approximately on 8/20/18 I contracted with the company to move my belongings from Jacksonville, Fl to San Antonio, Tx and quoted a price of approx. $*** and now quote a price of approx. $***. I received a call from the drive who stated I needed at least *** more cu sq ft but could not provide a price difference, stated his boss would call and his boss did and asked him how much more and he could not give me a price either so I agreed to have all things removed. Received call from billing stating that I needed to send apprx another $*** or so, I asked how much was this move and she stated a price close to $***. I told her I felt I was about to lose my items and my money and that if I had thought it would have been that amount I would have done something else. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was refused. I was told it was sent for review and would take at least 3 days. The reference number was XXXXXX. I went through my emails to review the order but in all the 5 to six I have all of the emails have been blocked from showing the invoices and estimates that were provided, it states this job is booked, contact customer service. The address given to me was *** N *** XXXXXX. The phone numbers I have are XXX XXX XXXX /XXX XXX XXXX. I paid $*** on my debit card and a wire transfer of $*** with a balance of $*** upon delivery. My belongings are already in transit and should be here between Sept 18-21 and I have no idea of what steps to take to resolve this. I do not have $*** and would not have paid anyone that amount. I would like my belongings and do not believe I should pay any more than the contract. I had other quotes from moving companies and friends and none of these quotes came over $***. I also told them I felt they must have picked up extra somewhere. The unit was a 10x10 with 98% boxed and/or packed, not full to the top, stacked two levels high and mostly boxes and bins.

Desired Outcome

I would like my belongings and believe I should not be charged more. If I have to pay more, then I would be willing to pay $*** more and still think I should not do that but in all fairness, I will give the benefit of the doubt that there may have been slightly more than reported, although I am convinced that is not the case.

Pickup from Jacksonville, FL was 08/11/2018. It was 12 boxes & a small safe. The Bill of Lading included a time frame of delivery before 09/06/2018.
No delivery to Pittsburgh, PA as of this date. I'm a quadriplegic. Several item are needed in Pittsburgh because I'm moving to a nursing home in Pittsburgh. I cannot relocate to Pittsburgh until these items are delivered. They say there has been mechanical issues that has delayed delivery to Pittsburgh but they cannot, or will not tell me where my boxes are located. They said their departure date was 08/16/2018 from their Florida warehouse. They took $*** as a deposit, with $*** due at delivery. They wrote on the Bill of Lading delivery would be 08/18/2018. They have now stretched that date to an unknown date in September. Frankly, I do not know if I will ever see my items again. This was a simple delivery of just boxes, no furniture was involved. Communication with the company has been a waste of time. I expect a refund of an amount that is fair for both parties.

Desired Outcome

A refund of 1/2 the cost requested, or $***.

Scammed me into paying double and lost or broke many of my personal belongings.
On July 11, 2018 I entered into a contract with your representative ***. I explained to *** that I needed the delivery to be on Friday July 20, 2018. She told me that they would have to pick up the load by July 17, 2018 in order to be delivered by the 20th.

On July 17, 2018 a truck (Cummings Leasing XXX-XXX-XXXX) and three (3) men arrived at my house at approximately noon. I was surprised to see such a small truck then the driver, ***, told me it would be transferred to an 18 wheeler at the warehouse. This has never happened to me on my other two moves where the freight company came in the 18 wheeler and the furniture never had to be handled again. The two (2) men immediately started to disassemble my furniture while the job manager, ***, did paperwork. He asked if I had the deposit and I said I did but he did not collect it then. He continued to do paperwork and the other two men continued to take my furniture apart.

This is when I asked why they were taking apart items that have never been dissembled by other professional movers that I used in the past. *** responded that this is how they do it to protect the furniture and not to worry that the men who deliver the furniture will put it all back together as it was part of their regular job. I again voiced my objection to them taking apart items and each time I was give the same answer as stated above. I felt something was not right but they kept taking things apart and putting each piece in a blanket then in cardboard and they must have used at least one roll of tape per item if not more.

I became more upset and anxious with everything they took apart and wrapped. Your statement about packing says "Standard disassembly and standard reassembly of common furniture and professional wrapping furniture with moving pad/blankets." I was feeling this crew was going too far. Another example was a one draw wood night stand. They wrapped it in a number of blankets and used over a roll of tape. Why?

They brought in the two wardrobe boxes for me and then said that the warehouse forgot to include the bar to hang the clothing on. I asked *** what he was going to do about it and he said there was nothing he could do. So, it wasn't perfect but I came up with an idea to use two canes I had to put on each box so that I could place the hangers over them. Later I found out it was of no use because of the way they handled the wardrobe boxes all the cloths came off.

The other moving companies I used in the past completed the packing and loading within two hours and neither company broke or lost my belongings. Now it was 5 hours later and *** says to me there will be a change in the price due to the increased space it is taking up and for wrapping material and over size items. I asked what oversize items I had since no dimensions were ever asked for and non were listed so I would know what was considered oversize in advance. He named my triple dresser, 3 piece sectional sofa (which they lost the hardware to put them together) a wicker laundry basket, a large suite care (that has been used numerous time and the airlines never marked it oversize) and 47" x 16" occasional table. Then he said that he calculated (because so much was not loaded on the truck) an increase due to the increased cubic feet. I said there was increase in cu ft because you now increased the size of everything you took apart and made more pieces which all had to wrapped in blankets then boxes then taped. You increased the cu ft not me.

My original estimate was $*** and now it has increased to $*** , double the original amount and he needed $*** cash in addition to the certified check of $*** . Your office send emails to ***'s cell phone that I had to sign to give my approval for the increase.
(1) I really couldn't read it all in the phone and
(2) I had no choice but to sign them because you had all of my belongings as hostage. I then had to leave to get

Desired Outcome

I had immediately called your customer care center explaining that I have lost and damaged items and also someone else's suite case. And this is how it went. 7/30 I called customer care at 4:35 pm and the girl said it was too late and to call back tomorrow. She said she would pass on the message and they were open M-F 9am-6pm but close at 4pm on the weekends, 7/31 I called at 10am and the girl took my message again and said someone would call back with 3 days. 8/3 I called and spoke to *** who said she will pass on the message and customer care will call me back within 3-5 business days. 8/14 I called again and again I left a message 8/20 I went to leave a message and the girl remembered it and asked if my phone number was the same. I confirmed she had the right number and she said someone will get back to me. I no longer want to get a phone call from customer care because it is too late for that. I cannot even begin to figure out how much I lost monetarily and what the replacement value would be for items I need to now purchase. I will tell you again that I truly believe that I was taken advantage of because of my age and situation. I have given you ample time to respond to my calls and now I realize you do not care enough to do so. For these reasons I want total reimbursement $*** for all of my pain, suffering money I now need to replace or repair my personal belongings. If I do not have a response from you within 10 business days including acknowledging full payment will be issued to me, you will leave me no other choice then to take this to an attorney and at that point my pain and suffering will be of a greater amount with my attorney fees being paid by you. In addition I will donate the large suite case to a charitable organization. Please do not make this any more painful then you already have.

On July 18 2018 I received my shipment of boxes from Florida to Colorado.
I can't even begin to list all the items that are severely damaged or broken or lost / stolen

Let's start with the damaged ones (and I didn't open all the boxes yet so I'm only listing the things that I saw but seen the conditions of the boxes I'm expecting more )

The conditions of the boxes in witch my belongings Arrived are EMBARASSING
The boxes Are damaged, broken.
It looks like they were taken and threw against a wall. Most of the plastic sturdy boxes are broken/ damaged.
(See pictures attached)

THE FOLLOWING ITEMS ARE LOST AND NOWHERE TO BE FOUND:

- 65 inches Samsung CURVED tv - 4K
- king mattress
- peter lik photograph framed - this is a precious limited edition piece of art . The current price for it in a gallery is 35,000 $

Second shipment just came back

The STOLEN items from the previous shipment are nowhere to be found (of course)

My rowing machine is broken, scratched and severely damaged

My Nordictrack treadmill is broken , there are several scratches , the right arm is damaged , the arms cushion are ripped , the electric cord is shredded. The conditions in which my stuff was loaded into the moving truck were AWFUL . The negligence of your company and your workers is by far the worst I have ever seen.

My patio furniture (chairs, table and lounge chairs ) was all damaged. Scratches all over it.
they lost several parts and pieces of my furniture and now I am unable to put it back together .

They were rude, disrespectful and overall EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL . Let alone the fact that they give3 you an estimate and then, after loading everything on the first truck (literally throwing your belongings ) they tell you that they want more money.

Nobody from the company called us, gave us information on how to file a complaint.
The only communication we had with trans van lines was a text message from a former employ that texted us : " I resigned from working for Trans Van Lines over two weeks ago, because I was very disturbed by what happened with your move and the poor service involved following your first delivery. That made me sick to my stomach and I lost all my motivation to work for them after having g a position there since last year. I am very sorry that their service for your move was so poor, and I resigned over it, as I can no longer be part of that organization "

Less than reputable moving company
I dealt with this moving company over the phone for a few weeks I called back-and-forth and spoke to *** a Trans Van Lines rep, and went over the inventory list several times and make corrections. I informed her I needed to keep my cost down. I gave, and sold furniture because I couldn't afford to pay more than $3,000. The last time I spoke with her, she said the move was going to be $2800, when the movers finally came to my home they said it was over $6000. When the movers got to my home, they started to re-tape boxes That I had already taped, when I questioned them about re-taping my boxes, they said that they had to do it if I wanted my things to be safe. I realized later that they did that because they were charging me per roll. (Just another unexpected mandatory expense I wasn't told about) when everything was said and done there were empty rolls all over my house, they loaded everything onto the truck, and we discussed delivery, I told them delayed delivery would be OK because I needed to get to Florida as I was driving with my kids, and needed to get settled. The mover told me it would be a 2-14 day window. it has now been close to one month! they took my stuff they called me one week later, and asked me for another $1700. Once I paid the $1700 they said that that needed to be paid so that they could put me on the delivery schedule here we are almost 4 weeks later and I don't have my furniture. I called last week spoke to four or five different people and nobody knew what to say to me but they did say that my things were still in Illinois in a warehouse. This company takes no responsibility. They also informed me that they will not take a certified check from my bank they will only take a postal money order I assume that's because they don't want me to be able to put a stop payment on that payment. I have to date paid them $3700 and I don't have my personal propert, furniture, etc.

Desired Outcome

I am seeking a monetary restitution, this company is extorting money from its vulnerable clients.

RE: Claims of negligence & misleading of contract from Trans Van moving company.

I needed a moving company to move furniture from FL to NY. I fill out an application on line for moving company and was contacted by*** from Trans Van lines on 5/18/18. I went over in details furniture & personal belongings with*** and he gave an estimate of $5,168, I was told this was an estimate and I should call him back with more details when I was at the home in FL.
On 6/10/18 I called*** at Trans Van lines as directed while I was at the house in Florida, we went over all big furniture with measurements, this increase the total to approx $5,680.
On 6/11/18 the movers came hours late & start putting boxes in the truck & wrapping some of the furniture, they left that night with only the boxes in the truck. When they came the next day (6/12/18) all the boxes were thrown on floor in truck. I noticed the movers were not wrapping the mirrors, TVs, glass shelves in bubble wraps, their response when asked was the thick materials in which they use was enough (even though they had a giant roll of bubble wrap). Before they start moving furniture in the truck, I was told that my furniture were big & I will have to pay more than estimated. I explain to them that I already went over the measurements with***& he increased the price, but as per movers, there was no measurements on worksheet. They increased the price to $10,000 even though I gave away a few items to lessen load. I got them to decease the price to $8,000.
On 7/4/18 the furniture and personal belongings was delivered to my home in NY by 5 guys. I asked them to put some things in the garage & set up others in the house. They were required to set up only 1 bedroom set which they did not complete because as I found out after they left, they broke the dresser mirror which they left in the box in the garage, I observed 1 of the mover removed 55" TV from box & rest it on gate on its face which was found later in garage broken.
Order_Number: TVXXXXXX
Account_Number: TVXXXXXX

Desired Outcome

Replacement I called company on 7/5/18 to make a claim about dresser mirror, the broken TV, missing 3 boxes with pictures & belongings, 32" TV & a white metal table, estimated value of $10,000. I was told to examine everything before I could make a claim. I call company on 7/12/18, I was asked to give them 2 wks to look for missing items. On 7/19/18 I was contacted by trans Van Lines & was told they did not find missing items & I that I would be called after 3 days to make a claim, I'm still waiting.

Trans Van Lines Response • Aug 14, 2018

We have reviewed the Consumer complaint filed by *** against Trans Van Lines, regarding lost/damaged items. We have also reviewed the moving documents, and our claim records relative to this matter.

We have confirmed that Consumer hired the Business to perform a Long Distance move from Florida to NY, commencing on 6/11-6/12/18. At the time of delivery on 7/4/18, no written notation of any missing or damaged items was made by Consumer on the delivery paperwork. Notes show that Consumer contacted the Business following delivery & was told to finish unpacking & call back with a complete list of items to be claimed. We do not show any record of a call back. However, we did call Ms. today & performed a claim intake for missing/damaged items. We have now emailed her the claim form to complete & submit as is required to file a legal transportation claim under the terms of the Bill of Lading & Transportation Guidelines governing this move. Once the completed claim form is received we will open a claim & review same under the $.60/lb/article coverage chosen by Consumer.

At this time no written claim has been filed by Consumer as is required, and no compensation is due her. Please update your records accordingly.

This company recently completed a move for my family and myself. Deceiving, careless and unprofessional.
I hired this company to move our belongings from Chicago to Florida. They bait you with low quotes and then upon loading your items claim your things are all ripped, torn and in a damaged condition. Bottom line is they end up charging extra at the 11th hour when you have no options other then to pay them. Careless, unprofessional and deceptive business practices.

Desired Outcome

Because of their deceptive business practice we were charged an additional $***. Refund is requested if this amount.

I hired Trans Van lines to move goods from Port St Lucie Fl. to E.Orange N.J. The estimated price was more than doubled after the truck was packed.
I hired Trans Van Lines to move some goods from Port St Lucie Florida to East Orange N.J. Pick up date was June 16th 2018 and my estimated cost was $*** My sales rep was *** and my job# was *** After the movers packed the truck they told me that my bill was $*** and I should pay 70% of that before they move and they don't take credit card. I was told to have a money order in the amount of $*** ready at pick up and $*** in cast at delivery.I didn't have anything extra I had less boxes. I paid $*** cash and wired $*** the next business day. I got my stuff June 29th 2018 14 days after pick up. Their justification for charging me $*** more than estimated was that they needed extra protection for packaging and my stuff took up over *** cubic ft more. My stuff arrived with several broken up pieces. The contract was that everything that was disassembled should be reassembled. They did not reassemble everything. When I called the company with my complaints they refuse to speak to me. All I could get from them was this phone # to call the claims dept.*** I called them first on July 2, 2018 and they told me that someone would get back to me two to three days. I have been calling every few days for over a month and each time I am told the same thing. They refused to email me a claims form. I asked to speak to a supervisor and they refused, I asked for the name of the claims company and they refused too. I called Trans Van Lines and told them that they claims dept doesn't work and they told me they couldn't help me.

Desired Outcome

I seeking my bill to be adjusted and compensation for a broken china cabinet an arm chair and a desk. One missing antique painting. My estimate was $*** and I had to pay $*** to get my stuff. I didn't move a whole house it was just some furniture and some boxes.

The moving co. salesman assures you there are no hidden fees and you won't pay any more than the signed invoice amt.The driver demands CASH for extras
My contract #XXXXXX for delivery of a small amt of items was made with Trans Van Line the smallest cubic feet of stuff from Orlando, FL to Marlboro, NJ.I finalized the deal outlining specifics with ***, the salesman. The contract is electronically signed. The salesman assures you that this "family owned" business does not up charge, but at actually at the pick up the driver demanded an extra cash $***. for steps and for walking to the apt. These details were included with the salesman when reviewing inventory. Now, I got an email alerting me that at delivery, extra charges should be expected again. I called***, owner and he didn't know about the extra $*** collected by the driver. He called the driver,*** who admitted he collected $*** cash but didn't write it on the invoice.*** offered me no resolution. We gave him $***. cash at the pickup 70% of the cost. Now they expect $*** at delivery. I tried to print out the invoice but they removed it from my emails. Now, I have nothing but the invoice number #*** to prove the move or to check small print. This is bad customer business practice and while they say other companies prices are lower because they up charge, THEY DO IT TOO! You sometimes NEED to depend on a moving service, but that doesn't mean they can take advantage of you because you are desperate.

Desired Outcome

I want the $*** refunded and anything demanded at delivery refunded also. This is extortion and won't complete the delivery unless paid in cash.

My 108 year old china cabinet is missing. The company lost my items and several of my personal items are broken
I was quoted 1 price and then the price was $800 dollars more when the movers arrived even though I had less items than the original quote. I was charged an oversized fee for my china cabinet even though it is a smaller cabinet. The mover tried to charge me $300 extra for stairs and when I questioned him he reduced the price to $150. I feel like this was a bait and switch and most distressing is my missing china cabinet. I have several items that are broken because of the disregard from this moving company. I've had a stroke and this has been extremely stressful dealing with this company. I was told that I would have my items in 21 days no later than 30 days and it took 48 days to receive my things. This is a very sentimental 108 year old china cabinet that can not be replaced. I am so upset that the company lost my belongs.

Desired Outcome

I want my china cabinet found and delivered in excellent condition and I want my broken items replaced. I also want an adjustment on my moving cost for the china cabinet that was never delivered and the fact that several of my belongings are broken.

I contracted with this moving company for my move. On the day of the move they did not show up. I waited 24 hrs and they never came. They Don't care!
This is a simple case of neglect. I contracted in March 2018 to have this company do my move on June 23rd. I did all that was asked in preparation. When the truck never came at 8 I waited until 10:30. I called the company and some said my move was pushed back to a 9 to 11 am window. At 1139 I called and the supervisor said it would be from 4 to 6 pm. At 7 pm I received a call from a truck driver telling me he was going to a hotel and could not come until the next day. This company gave me no assurances that this move would take place. The driver told me someone called out sick. With a long move ahead, young children, being a single parent, move involved animals, this company made no effort to fulfill their contractual obligation to communicate or provide timely service. Many family members were affected included the tenants to take occupancy once house vacated. I put together a complex move and this moving company caused harm.

Desired Outcome

A public apology and reimbursement of charges

I was quoted a estimated service after the truck was loaded my estimated quote then doubled. Items lost and broken.
The first estimate was was 3125. After all items were loaded onto the truck it went up to 6800. From there it was brought down to 5800. The estimate was given on april 28th and then modified to 5815.92 on May 7th. We were repeatedly harassed for for an additional 2000.00 We were able to negotiate 1000.00 to have them store our items. We did not have a home address and were moving. This is why we chose them because they store furniture for up to 30 days. We were then harassed for a address after only 2 days. Phone calls up to 9 times a day every hour. We felt so pressured we grabbed the 1st place we could however after signing the lease we then noticed the apt wasn't ready. So we were not able to move in to our place after we had given trans vans lines the address. That night we received an email stating our items would be there in the morning. They say in there contract they give 24 hr notice. That was not given. We then had to rent a uhaul to have all our items moved into the uhaul. We had to remove all the moving blankets and put all of our items back together. This is a service that is included in there supposed quote. If this service is not performed why am I paying for it? They had no problem doubling my quote but when it came time to actually doing the work , my family had to do it. I had to pay them in a money order to get my furniture back otherwise they hold your items hostage. I had to wait 2 days for them to load the truck. Then the guys who were supposed to reassemble all my items and remove all the moving blankets wouldn't answer our phone calls to remove the moving blankets. However 2 weeks after we did all the work they were available to pick them up. Because trans vans lines charges them 20.00 per blanket not returned. I had to hire another moving company and pay 600.00. To do the job they were supposed to do. Rent a uhaul for 200.00. The glass on my end table is broken. The coffee table glass is chipped, pyrex dishes broken, wedding crystal glasses shattered. The nightstand legs are broken. I am missing king size box spring, full size box spring, my deceased mothers kitchenaid that is irreplaceable, my sons 200.00 remote car. Boxes of items that hold memories gone. Michael started the process, then Sergio, then a team of women who hound the living daylights out of you. They do not return phone calls and do not look into finding them.

Desired Outcome

I want the 2700.00 back that was given to return items. The job was not completed and I was overcharged. A estimate is a ballpark figure. Not double the figure. I am missing valuable items. Box springs (king and double). My mothers kitchenaid. She is deceased and nothing could put a number on that. Broken furniture! Missing boxes with memories. My sons 200.00 racecar. It's huge how does that get lost? I want the 2700.00 and market price for all the items lost and broken. I am not even asking reimbursment for uhaul I had to rent or the other moving company. I am being more then fair.

In moving, a queen size bed and box spring with linens were lost. 6 boxes with special markings on them for the me to distinguish of my mother's fine, antique, vintage china were lost, a handcrafted wall decoration was lost.
The company boasted they were a carrier and transported things from start to finish. My things were placed in a warehouse and 2 young guys from Brooklyn, NY arrived in a Penske truck to deliver my things that were loaded from a warehouse in MD. My things were to be transported directly from FL to NJ. That was not done.
I feel I was lied to, scammed and now if things are not returned, theft has occurred.
I have emailed the claims department and Trans Van Lines but have not received any response to find my things or give me reimbursement for items not delivered.

Movers lied, try to extort more money, late, veeeeeeeeeeery rude and unprofessional!
Amanda quoted me a price in a contract of $1475 which included steps just in case they couldn't use the freight elevator. I signed off on it. Pick up time was confirmed with Alex for a 7am pick up. After getting in touch with them at 9:30am on my pick up day, I was told by Amir that my pick up time was for 12 and was very rude and unprofessional. I found out that he changed my time because they had a bigger job that they wanted to do. When the movers finally showed up they told me that it was gonna cost $4000 to move my items, they were rude and unprofessional. I was left stuck trying to figure out how to move. This is the worst company ever. Never have I ever been belittled and disrespected!! Price gouging is against the law!!!

Desired Outcome

Since I didn't pay anything, I just want other consumers to be aware never to use this company. They don't have an apology big enough to satisfy me. With this complaint on their record will do more than anything.

Missing items to be delivered, couch delivered with rat droppings and dead rat.
Order GA-XXXXXX with 3 payments of 400.00, 460.39, and 528.00 was missing boxes and items including expensive printer and television. Customer service is apathetic to our issues. As a result of the company's gross negligence we demand a full refund to cover charges of misplaced/damaged items.

Desired Outcome

Full refund of $1389.13
