Trinity Relocation Group Reviews (%countItem)

Trinity Relocation is a moving Broker that uses shady business practices to make people who are moving pay way more than the original estimates.
Our daughter was moving from Milledgeville, Ga. to Tallahassee, Fl.on May 16th We called Trinity Relocations on May 2nd 2019 and got an estimate (Order# BXXXXXXX) . They gave a very reasonable quote of $1600 When the move got closer, a few things were added to the list (10 things, the biggest being 2 plastic 3 drawer containers) and the estimate went up by about $800!
Trinity Relocation set up the movers and on the day of the move the movers (Star USA Moving out of Atlanta. The movers arrived in a Budget truck and were 2 1/2 hours late! We had assumed that such a short move would be same day delivery. I made it very clear to Trinity that I wanted a same day move (Since Milledgeville and Tallahassee are only 4 hours apart). The movers told us that same day is $650 more! This was NEVER explained to us. Trinity said traffic or weather could make a difference, but never mentioned that we might have to wait 7-10 business days to have our daughter's things delivered. The movers said that most movers hold your things for 7-10 business days. The day of the move was a beautiful day and ours were the only items on the truck. When we called and complained to Trinity, they said that if we did not want to pay the extra fee, the movers could just turn around and take our daughter's things with them back to Atlanta and deliver them in a few days! (Even though they were less than an hour from Tallahassee, more than 3 hours from Atlanta, at that point). There was no reason they could not deliver our things the same day! It would have cost the movers more to go back to Atlanta. But we already had a lot of money in Hotel rooms and couldn't afford more time off from work.
The movers themselves were nice and did a good job, except that they stopped for dinner before delivering our things, which is fine but they never called us to let us know. Also the movers only accepted cash or cashiers check for the final stage of the move. Trinity told us that it was all based on weight. But the movers told us they never weighed the items. They said the billing was based on the amount of space the items took up in the truck. The whole thing was misleading, frustrating and unpleasant. We will never use or recommend these movers or Trinity Relocation again

Desired Outcome

I would like to have the $650 refunded since I was never told about it. I also would like $212 dollars of the extra deposit that I paid on May 14th that was not shown as paid in my final bill.

We have reached out to the customer who is currently out of town and will be able to speak to us next week. We have reviewed the original sales call to insure this customer was not guaranteed a delivery date. As stated, the customer made an assumption that delivery would be same day, then when they were told otherwise the customer opted to pay for the additional service. I have attached the original estimate based on volume of the customers items. Our delivery policy is listed clearly in the estimate. Trinity Relocation Group has offered the customer $100, and will offer an additional $100 ($200 in total) to resolve the customers complaint.

False Calms. They say they are not a third party company they are a moving company but this is not true! They promised I would be moved within 3 days, never received my things. They put my things in a storage without my consent until they could hire a real moving company to move them. Moved to another state and had to fly back to the state I moved from to retrieve my belongings. My things were put in a rundown storage unit that consisted of a two hour drive from my original pick up location. They are deceptive and took my money without moving my things!

Desired Outcome

Refund I want my money back

Document Attached***
Attached is a copy of the agreement between Trinity Relocation Group and the customer. Trinity is properly licensed as both a moving carrier and a moving broker, which is stated clearly upfront as well as written in the agreement signed by the customer. Please see excerpt directly from the signed contract between this client and Trinity Relocation Group:

"Trinity Relocation Group is a properly licensed interstate moving carrier authorized to conduct business through the FMCSA. Additionally, Trinity Relocation Group is a properly licensed interstate broker. In acting a moving broker, Trinity Relocation Group will not transport or handle in any way an individual shipper's household goods, but will coordinate and arrange for the transportation of household goods by an FMCSA authorized motor carrier, whose charges will be determined by its own published tariff."

Additionally, under no circumstances does Trinity guarantee any delivery dates. This is also explained upfront and clearly noted in the contract with a check mark the customer must check before signing our agreement:

"I understand that there are never guarantees regarding pickup and delivery dates. All pickup and delivery dates are only estimates."

Lastly, mid-move this customer stated she was no longer moving to Florida, and due to delivery times requested to pick up her own items from the carrier's private storage facility. The carrier allowed the customer onto private property to pickup her items at her request.

Trinity has not dishonored the original agreement with the customer. As a show of good faith Trinity is willing to provide the customer a $200 credit in hopes of resolving this issue.

I am not satisfied with your scripted response. The phone call lasted 10 minutes in which the contract was explained to me verbally by ***. In No such way did he explain the contract remotely to what the contract said. Instead of attaching the contract why don't you attach the phone call so everybody can hear what was said, as I was told All phone calls are recorded. Your company is deceptive, I was told you ARE NOT a third party. I was told my things would be delivered in three days. At no time Was I notified that my things would be moved to a storage unit over an hour away from my original location And stored until a truck was available. I recommend you reprimand your employee for conducting false claims unless this is is your companies regular practice. I would like you hand over recorded phone calls so everyone can see the truth and make their own judgment. In addition I will be filing a complaint with the FTC so they can Acknowledge your illegal practices. I will not be satisfied until all monies are credited back to me. You have caused stress and financial burden on my life, I had to pay to fly back to Georgia to retrieve my items. I want people to be aware of the unprofessional, illegal tactics your company does just to make a buck.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Its funny how I spoke with Saddy (the girl that has contacted me from Trinity Relocation Group) regarding resolving this refund once and for all) and much to my surprise she never responded to this case with final resolution to agree in writing to the Revdex.com that they were allowing the chargeback from my credit card company as we agreed upon over the phone and stated she would be doing it that day on 7/18/19. It is now 7/20/18 and I have yet to receive confirmation from the Revdex.com or my credit card company to this effect. I am seriously tired of the promises that have been made without action. I highly advise anyone who is considering hiring this company to move-relocate them from one state to another or at all you will choose someone who is actually honest and has your best interest at heart. It has been an absolute nightmare and my next update will be to the FTC not only for their illegal practices over the phone but for their false claims to refund me time and time again!

Trinity Relocation Group Response • Jul 23, 2019

Please see the notes on this account. I did exactly as we spoke about over the phone. I did put in writing that Trinity would accept the charge back, then you responded stating I did not do so. At this point, Trinity is holding up our end of the deal and you are the one who is refusing a resolution.
