I am rejecting this response because: the course material states it is geared to current edition of the CPT. States that if you do not have the current edition, contact instructor. I did not request the current edition in order to do the CPC Exam. I requested it to finish the course accurately. They have, however, sent the correct book to me since I filed this complaint. It is due to arrive today. And my "history" of bad payment consists of one time. Yes I am currently late on this months payment because I am waiting for my book to arrive first

I am rejecting this response because: I still want any negative collection information that was sent to the three credit bureau companies. Your company unethically sent my accounts to collections when, in fact, I was making monthly payments to both accounts. I stated to your accounting department how much I would be paying each month until paid off, and still you sent me to collections!!! Your unethical actions have certainly impacted my credit score in a negative way and I need it fixed!!!!

I am rejecting this response because:I was given information I stopped the success program because during the process I learned the certificate is not enough to get a job! It is not even possible to work from home without many years of experience if a company will even allow work from homeIt is bad enough I wasted all my time on this course she I should have been spending it with my newbornThis was advertised as work from home and since I am unable and all the other complaints with Revdex.com also claim the same I think I deserve a refund so I can take a different course that actually does allow work from home! All my family and friends know the heartache this as causes myself and my family and I think it would benefit the school to just refund my money I paid for a career I invested time and money in based off your word that I could work from home!! I think you should make it right only fair!

I am rejecting this response because:What you just said is a total lie compared to actual companies I've spoken to. There is no transition period! The transition period was from Octto Octof 2015. Not only that, you used advertising saying that I could work at home in as little as months. THIS IS BLATANTLY FALSE! I have personally spoken to medical offices that currently hire coders, and they do not hire coders without at least years minimum office experience. They also will not hire "graduates" from schools to actually code! They have to work as an office person or do an internship for months to a year before they are allowed to code on their own! Your whole premise is false, and I wasted months of my time when I could have been working at a minimum wage job in an office where I wanted to work. You need to refund what I've paid, or I guess my next step is to contact my attorneyNot only did I lose months of time on wasted education, but I lost wages as well, seeing as I could have been working this whole time. But that is not what I wanted to do. I wanted to work from home, and you said I could, and I can't

I am rejecting this response because:
Regardless of whether you grant me a refund you need to revise your curriculum for clinical medical assistantAt the very least you need to explicitly state, in the course material, that a student must acquire training/expertise in the area of EKG and phlebotomy outside the courseA more honest and reasonable option would be to revise your curriculum so that it includes information on EKG and phlebotomyI understand this is an online course and there is only so much you can teach without being hands on but its appalling that you didn't even try to address these two critical parts of clinical medical assistingI'll help you out by giving some suggestionsA course in the curriculum titled phlebotomy could include information on aseptic technique, order of draw, tube additives, vein and artery anatomy, common blood tests, and helpful suggestions as to how to continue their education in phlebotomyA course in the curriculum titled EKG could include basic EKG interpretation, common EKG mistakes and how to fix them, and how to document an EKG in the EMR. Students should not have to reach out via e-mail or phone to straighten out basic questions about curriculum and certification testingI passed my NHA exam based on prior knowledge, experience in the field, and time spent studying outside of your courseVery little if any information from your course contributed to me gaining my CCMA certification. I would hope as a business focused on education you would be open and encouraging to complaints, suggestions, and overall constructive criticism on your curriculum.

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to Case #[redacted]. In reviewing the school records for Ms.[redacted] **, records reflects she enrolled on 7/3/06 and completed her final quiz on 10/5/06. In the past nine years there are no notes on the account that Ms. [redacted] worked with a...

graduate services counselor. No attempts were made to go over resume building, marketing or strategy techniques with the counselors. U.S. Career Institute has been training career skills to students for over 30 plus years and is accredited by the DEAC (Distance Education Training Counsel). Graduates receive a certificate for successful completion of their program.Due to the length of inactivity, Ms. [redacted] is not eligible for a refund after nine years. Ms [redacted] mailed enrollment agreement was received by the school on 8/30/16. As stated on the enrollment agreement and in the school catalog there is a five day review period to make sure the course is a good fit. The student can cancel without any obligation to the school once a student...

goes past the review period, the cancellation policy takes affect. Ms. [redacted] spoke by phone with our student services department on 10/5/16, she indicated she could not commit to the course or the payments and inquired about cancelling. Student Services explained the policy and there was a balance of $110 to cancel. I will make an exception and waive the balance due of $110 leaving her with a zero balance. The $69 paid will satisfy the administration of her account. No more payments or assignments are due. The course is cancelled. We wish Ms. [redacted] the best of luck in her future endeavors,Joyce L[redacted]Director of Student Services

I am rejecting this response because:The response that the grad counselor was unable to reach me and left a voicemail is false. I had to email to reach Grad Services and I specifically stated that no voicemail was left. The very 1st step that I was advised to do was to contact various physician offices for work.  Why would I contact Grad Services with a resume, cover letter, etc.... when after contacting over 75 physician offices etc...I was told that I needed at least 2 years experience to be hired. After being told that I came to the conclusion that I had been scammed. They made statements about being able to work from home and they also advertise falsely. I want a full refund. I have paid $1976.97 in total for this program. After deducting the $599 return - I am owed $1377.97. I am prepared to get legal help to take this to small claims court.

Ms. [redacted] enrolled in the Coding and Billing Program on 10/12/15. She made one payment towards her tuition and the other two payment attempts declined. Ms. [redacted] did not enroll in the Success Promise Program. Enrollment in the Success Promise program is optional, where students must have paid...

50% of their tuition, completed their studies within one year and maintained an 85% GPA. If a graduate meets the criteria, they are eligible to participate in the Success Promise program. The program guidelines are listed on the student website. Ms. [redacted] did not meet any of the of the Success Promise requirements and is not eligible for a refund. Ms. [redacted] completed 100% of her course and is obligated to 100% of her tuition according to her school catalog and enrollment agreement. However, after researching her school account and review of this complaint, I am going to waive the balance due on her account of $2244.00, cancel the account as of February 11th, 2015 and no more payments are due.We wish Ms. [redacted] the best of luck in her future endeavors.Thank you,Joyce [redacted], Director of Student Services

[redacted]Hello,This is a message in regard to my complaint against Weston Distance Learning LLC. I spoke to Nancy Hampson via Email and she's the...

Dean of Faculty there. She told me I would have to make no further payments toward educational costs because of my dissatisfaction with the program and the services promised to me that have never been received. Unfortunately, I do not feel that this is an adequate resolution to my concerns and I would like a full refund of the $305 paid to the institution because I am not certified by them and I do not intend on using their certification for employment. I need an actual certificate to say that I completed coursework their and Nancy or Ann R[redacted] will not send a certificate to me. I feel that if they don't send the certification, I deserve a full refund and to go on as if that course 3300 was never taken.                             Respectfully, [redacted]

Because this account had two credit cards a check refund was requested, the check was mailed 1/22/16. The refund should arrive in the mail soon.Thank you,Joyce L[redacted]Director of Student Services
