We apologize for any inconvenience Valet Movers caused our customer.  We have forwarded her claim to our insurance for reimbursement of her damaged items. 
Also, the $100 was refunded to her as soon as she expressed concern that the amount was not reflected on her...

estimate. 
Additionally, she was charged a long carry at delivery, with the first 75 feet being free.  This is noted as a possible charge in our contract.  Our customers new residence did not have parking close enough to her building for a tractor trailer.  Therefore a long carry was necessary.
Unfortunately, we have no control over the time it takes a driver to arrive at a destination.  We do our best to estimate their arrival to our customers but sometimes there are things that happen beyond our control.   We like to have our customers items delivered within 7-14 business days from the customers first available date of delivery, we were well within this time frame.  This customers first available date of delivery was January 6th, and it left our warehouse on route to San Antonio on January 8th. 
Again we apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.

I have in fact already filled a claim for all of my damaged and missing items. It has been over 4 weeks since doing so. I've tried to call and email the office for an update. Every time I call, it rings and then disconnects me. And every time I email, I get no response. Many of my items were destroyed. We also had a crate of fishing supplies worth a good deal of money that just "disappeared". No one can seem to locate it? I'm very unhappy with this business and the way my items were treated. I do hope they will stick to their word and reimburse us for our items.

Valet Movers is very sorry to hear that our client has not received her check.  We have confirmed with our Claims Department that a claim was authorized for $426.00 payment.  Accounting is currently going back through records to confirm that this has not been paid out yet.Once we get...

Dear [redacted]: Thank you for the information. As you know, I just received Valet Mover’s response a few minutes ago. It’s rather astounding that Valet Movers has taken so long to respond to you (as you know, I last responded back on October 26, 2015 – more than two months ago). The latest response from Valet Movers is a rather interesting one. Obviously, they are attempting to avoid responsibility for their action. Furthermore, I was about to file a Federal complaint against them as I had heard nothing about the situation since October. However, in the response Valet Mover’s just sent to you, it appears they are willing to settle this matter (for  just half of what I am owed). To my knowledge, they did not provide the Revdex.com with the “release form” referred to in their response and I’ve certainly not heard anything from them in many, many months. Perhaps the Revdex.com will be able to obtain additional information. Please note that this matter has already taken far too long to settle, with Valet Movers failing to respond to my numerous communications with them. Of course, it appears as if they also refused to respond to the Revdex.com’s communications in a timely manner, which is why I called your office today. Given this information, I would like an immediate response from Valet Movers to clarify their response. In the event that Valet Movers does provide additional information, I will take no further action. However, given Valet Mover’s consistent pattern of not responding to legitimate complaints in a timely manner, if they do not provide an immediate response, I will be forced to take further action. Again, thank you for your assistance.  Respectfully,

This was my first time using a moving company and I was overwhelmed by all the companies wanting my business. I chose Valet Movers based on their consistently positive reviews. They were easy to schedule with and the movers at both pick up and delivery were friendly and courteous, very hard working, and careful with my belongings. They did a good job and I would use them again.

Dear Revdex.com,We are responding to the compaint.Regarding Price change:  We did 2 free-onsite visuals for this client. Time after time customer called in to remove items from list to reduce costs.  This is normal and we can do that because we have inventory an can adjust the price...

accordingly.  Customer price change took place on the day of the move when items were added back in without us having it on our list.  We do take inventory on the day of pick up so we know what we are responsible for and the driver of course needs to  know exactly what he is carrying.  There is no scamming on our end..only an exact accounting of items picked up. Regarding:  Destination --Shuttle Fee...- Even though it was on the contract which customer signed; Valet Movers as a courtesy paid out of pocket $300 for the cost of loading and unloading all her items onto a UHAUL.  We are very surprised to hear a complaint about the fact that we saved her money.Regarding Damages do end table drawer and son's bedframe; we do have a Claims Department that would be more than happy to assist with this.  From time to time these things happen andwe have Claims in place for this reason.  We had never received a call or complaint about any damages before but client is more that welcome to call us and get this taken care of.

This company move my entire house from Del Mar to Monte Soledad very carefully ! It was fast, without concern!! I totally recommend Valet Movers for anyone who needs move. thanks!!

Valet Movers is apologizes for the inconvenience and damaged/loss that occurred. We have a claim process that is implemented when items are damaged or lost during shipment. There are 2 forms of coverage offered to
a customer when they choose to move with us (1) Limited Liability Coverage or (2) Replacement Coverage.(1) Limited Liability is offered at no charge to the customer and as Ms. [redacted] stateded .60/per lbs. (2) The Replacement Coverage is an additional cost and gives full value protection giving the customer the option of repairing items  to same condition as when received by Valet Movers,  reimburses the customer for the cost of the repair, or to replace with similar item. When the customer opts out of the Replacement Coverage the .60/lbs is then applied. Ms. [redacted] had damage of a file cabinet, childs wooden table, and missing hardware for a futon. Valued at $63.00 of Limited Liability Coverage. The matress is in usable functioning condition. Valet Movers understands that Ms. [redacted] is unhappy with her experience moving with us and we would like to make a reasonable settlement.

I used Valet Movers to move from San Diego to New Mexico because they gave me a very reasonable price compared to other moving companies (local or national). They were extremely careful with my furniture and made sure everything was taken care of from pick up to delivery. The only minor thing I experienced was it took two weeks to receive my furniture, but that was due to not enough deliveries heading my direction until then.

This problem could up of been avoided if your company just follow up and delivered it to me on December 2015 or early January 2016.
!.  Vacuum is a Eureka with a Red Base with 12 amps(should say on vacuum) with attachments. Hope you did not lose the attachments and it still works.
2. Stepping Stool is all metal with 3 black steeps with a white frame. There is a latch on the third top step that you need to press down to release steps to fold.
3. Solid Pine Wood Table  63' X47" Missing leg piece that attaches to table (see attachment) Cannot find part at  Home Depot, Lowes, Ace Hardware.

Dear Revdex.com,           I was responding to this complaint regarding our customer.  The way that we give an estimate to a customer is based on the item list that customer provides.  Based on that we take the item list and enter it into...

the computer to give the customer their estimate.  When the foreman showed up on the day of the move the customer had additional boxes compared to the list that we confirmed with the customer over the phone.   Based on these additional items, the foreman gave the new quote to the customer, which is a binding quote.   Customer complained that for some reason the driver said there was less space on the truck than the space that we charged him for.   The way that we work, we do not charge for space, we charged only based on the item list.  Even if the customer took up more space on the truck, the quote would still stay the same because it was a binding estimate based on the item list.  We will try to contact customer and resolve the misunderstanding.  Please let us know if you need any kind of information from us regarding this issue.                            Thank You,                                      ... Valet movers is a poor excuse for a moving company. I paid for packing service which I was charged for by the square footage. So in my case I paid over 700 dollars for packing service which was less then substandard. Our belongings were packed very carelessly and because of that, we received multiple items that were broken and damaged and some of these things can not be replaced since they had been in my wife's family for years. I was told that every item would be wrapped and cared for properly yet nothing was. Our hanging portraits were mistreated and not packed right and the glass was cracked because of that. 
 
I only requested the in house packing because I was told that they would pack everything individually and bubble wrap all breakables, which was not the case, so I pretty much paid 700 dollars for my things to get thrown in a box with no regards to the safety of the item. On top of receiving broken goods, I have stuff that is missing. I can not file a claim for these things since they got packed in a box and they are not on the inventory. I regret using Valet movers to help with my move, and I want a partial refund back since they lied to me at the time of estimate about there in home packing service. The way that I see it is, there packing service was nothing how they explained, and I could have had complete stingers come in and take better care of my valuables then they did, and because of this I want my money back for the so called packing service they provided.
