Your account was canceled per your
request (tracking number is below) and will leave service with Verde on
12/16/14. Even though
you cancelled, as a good will gesture we will send you a billing
adjustment check for $which effectively lowers your rate to
$0.1149/KWH for your last bill cycles. You should receive this check
in approximately weeks. We will also use this rate for your December
bill

indicated in the mailing you were enrolled in a
variable rate offer which started at $0.0854/KWH and could increase or
decrease over time. As you know it has increased recently as a result
of significant increases in energy costs
You should leave service with Verde at the end of the current
billing cycle. As a good will gesture we will send you a
billing adjustment check for $for your 3/24/bill which lowers
the effective rate to $0.0999/KWH and will use this lower rate for your
final bill. You should receive this check in approximately weeks

But, are refusing to bring their $an hour charge down to

cancelled your enrollment as a courtesy we will send you a billing
adjustment check for $which lowers the effective rate on your
last bill to $0.1299/KWH which is our current fixed rate for new **

I consider this case closed, but please please please research Verde Energy USA They have very deceptive communication and assertions, and I'm sure there are lots of other customers who are unnecessarily spending more on their electric bills because they are not reading the fine print of the their electric bills Here's the summary:
Verde Energy USA cold calls electric consumers, promising lower rates because of "deregulation" and competition
In the fine print, consumer agrees to a fixed rate period of around a year, after which they enter a variable rate period, which means Verde Energy can raise (or lower) rates, at will
In my case, I was sent a letter from Verde Energy proudly proclaiming their switch from "brown" to "green" energy Nowhere in this letter do they say green energy is almost double the price of brown energy I was automatically switched to the green energy supply, costing me on average $more per month on my electric bill Unbelievable I'm obviously upset with myself for not reading the electric bill more closely, but also upset because I paid a premium for a commodity that I did not wantVerde Energy USA should absolutely not have an A+ rating They may be a good "green" energy company in other respects, but they are terrible at providing competitive energy supply rates, and have deceptive methods of getting consumers to switch to Verde EnergyIn this case, deregulation is worse for consumers.

Repeated Unsolicited phone calls from this company I am on the national do not call list and they still called me back after I requested they place me on their do not call listI would recommend not doing business with Verde as they clearly do not follow established rules for marketing Why would anyone consider them after their unwanted intrusions?

MrBahian enrolled with Verde Energy in January under a monthly variable rate offer which can change with market conditions. He began service on 1/29/at a rate of $0.1075/KWH. this rate decreased to $0.1065/KWH in June and stayed at that lower rate for over years.
the rate recently began to increase because of increases in Verde's energy supp;y costs. His cancellation was processed by Verde on 2/7/when he called us and his account was dropped at the end of that billing cycle on 3/3/14. As a goodwill gesture we will send him a billing refund check of $which lowers his rate on his last bill to $0.1065/KWH

looked up your account and see that your 3-month fixed rate expired on 12/25/At this time, Verde is not required to contact ** customers when their rate is about to expire. As a one-time courtesy, I have processed a $223.29 refund for the difference in rate to our fixed rate on your most recent billYou should get that check within business daysI am unable to adjust your rate to the fixed rate, as your Verde Energy Account was cancelled and the last day you were with Verde will be 3/26/15, so when you receive your final bill with Verde on it, please reply to this email and I will issue you the final refund for the difference from the variable rate your last bill will charge, to our fixed rate.*** ***Customer Support | Verde Energy USA*** *** * * *** *** * *** ** ***
