I see that your fixed rate expired on 10/1/At this time, Verde is not required to contact *** customers when their rate is about to expireWhen you enrolled with Verde, we stated and you agreed to a 6-month fixed rate of $0.0899/kwhYou actually received that rate for billing cycles, two more billing cycles than was promised.As a one-time courtesy, I have processed a $98.46 refund for the difference in rate to our new fixed rate on your most recent bill. I have also processed the $rebate that was available for you to take advantage of during the first 6-months of your enrollment. I reviewed your recent Revdex.com inquiry and offer the following:
Your
account began service with Verde on 1/28/on a variable rate
offer
which can change with market conditions. Your initial supply rate of
$0.0989/KWH dropped to $0.0929/KWH in January to $0.0825/KWH in
January and stayed at this low rate until June when it began
to increase due to increases in Verde's supply costs. You recognized a
significant level of savings during this 3+ year period
As a goodwill gesture to thank you for being a long-term
customer we will send you a billing refund check of $for your
2/24/bill which will lower your effective rate to $0.0869/KWH. If
you would like we can also enroll your account in this month fixed
rate of $0.0869/KWH for 100% green energy
You will receive your check within weeks. Please email me
back if you would like to stay with Verde at this month fixed rate

Complaint:
I am rejecting this response because: Notification letter was never received as MrMenchaca claims, I have all documents and bills for last 2+ years on file
Verde Energy Customer Service was extremely difficult to reach by phone, had to wait over minutes on several attempts to cancel my service with them
Requested refund of overpayment for last months, offered much less
Verde Energy website is called "lowcostpower.com", yet the rates I was charged were more than double what my Electric company was charging
My Feb electric bill was $due to Verde Energy's ridiculous rate of $.1813, March and April rates were even higher, $.11/kw more than local power company
How are they saving me money by overcharging me?

Revdex.com:I appreciate that Verde adjusted my rate to .1399, which is down from .1999. I appreciate Verde issued a credit of $to my accountI appreciate that Verde sent me two rebate checks in the amount of $each. I was alerted to the large discrepancy between Verde's rate and *** rate for supply by the *** Customer Service rep I spoke to yesterday. He advised me to cancel my account with Verde. So I cancelled my Verde account yesterday but it may take up to days for the change to go through

I am rejecting this response because:The rate that the company changed to is too highIf *** does not require notification of an upcoming change in rate, I'll take that up with the stateHowever, Verde energy is charging an extremely high rate for the electricity provided in the state of *** after their initial offer expires.
This is a quote directly from the companies website. Electric rates have consistently decreased for all Verde Energy USA homes and businessesThis is not trueMy rate almost doubledHow is that truth in advertising?
