Watch Repairs USA Reviews (204)

Review: In early November I sent my grandfather's pocket watch to Watch Repairs USA hoping to have it put in working order.

[redacted] sent me frequent assurances that I would receive an estimate of the cost of repairs very shortly. However, there was no estimate forthcoming. Over two months ago I requested that my watch be returned to me.

More than six weeks ago, I received an email from [redacted] assuring me a form for return of my watch would be sent to me shortly. Nothing arrived until I received the long delayed estimate two weeks ago. I no longer trust [redacted] to repair my watch, so I ignored the estimate. Today I received another estimate offering me a $60 discount on the repair estimate. As I have intentionally not looked at the estimate, this makes me wonder just how large the estimate is. I fear that my watch may never may be returned to

me and if I were to send money to [redacted], I'd never see the watch AND my money would be wasted on a lost cause. I simply would like to retrieve my watch. I've lost all faith in this man and his company. Do you have any advice for me or assistance you can provide to me? Thanking you in advance.Desired Settlement: As stated above, I seek only to have my watch returned to me. After three months, I desire to see my watch again. There are other watch repair locations where I might feel more secure about my grandfather's pocket watch actually being repaired and returned to me.

I greatly appreciate any help you might give me.

Response:

An estimate was sent to the customer over a month ago. Perhaps his email is not working properly. Our contact information which is clearly posted on our website allows him to communicate with us either by email, phone, or even live chat. This is absolutely not grounds for a Revdex.com complaint. He can respond to the detailed estimate online by visiting the following web link: [redacted]

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

Oh 12/*/2015, I wrote to [redacted] requesting the return of my watch. No estimate had been received at that point. His response was to put me off further regarding the status of an estimate. I wrote to him again on 12/**/2015 requesting the return of my grandfather's pocket watch (my watch). His response was to inquire if I was sure I wanted my watch returned. I responded within five minutes informing [redacted] that I was positive and I desired my watch be returned as soon as possible. His next response agreed to return my watch and promised to send me a bill of shipping within the next few days. I have never received such a bill or shipping statement. When an estimate finally arrived, I regarded it as irrelevant since I was now positive I wanted the watch returned to me. I have lost all trust in this company. The watch may be of significant value because of its age and the company which made it.Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

I am not at all confused about the fact that [redacted] promised to return my watch to mr on December *, 2915. He has not done so. I have no interest in any estimate for the watch's repair. I simply wish to retrieve my watch. Please stop stalling and asking me to view this long awaited estimate. I have no interest in any estimate as I do not wish to have this company repair my watch. I want my watch returned to me as promised. I have [redacted]'s word that he would initiate the process for returning my watch to me on the date mentioned. The estimate did no appear until after the beginning of [redacted]. Please return my watch to me. If necessary, I will have my lawyer initiate legal proceedings in order to retrieve my watch.

Response:

Please have Revdex.com intervene here. The customer has been now told multiple times the process with which to obtain their watch back without repair. The customer is not complying with the simple procedure.

Review: After searching the internet for watch repair companies, I found this firm's website promising professional service on nearly every watch known to man, including Timberland. I sent in my 2 Timberland watches for the free estimate they advertised, neither of which had movements that were working at the time but the women's watch that I chose to have repaired had an Indiglo face that glowed blue when a button was pressed and it worked perfectly fine and very bright the day I boxed up the watches to send in, I even referenced it in the description of the two watches before I sent them in since they are similar looking other than size and the fact that the women's one had a light up face and was largely labeled as such. After receiving the estimate, I decided to have only 1 of them repaired and paid for the service in full before the repairs were performed. Upon receiving my watches back around a week later, I opened the box to find that while the watch was now keeping time, the blue glowing face feature was now not working at all. I immediately contacted the company and inquired as to why. I was given the run around by Adam C[redacted] first asking which watch I was talking about and then again "What do you mean the Indiglo is not working, the light?" Both answers I found rather alarming because from the website, I got the impression that these people were master watch makers and professionals in their field. After politely telling them that "Yes. The watch had a face that glowed blue and worked fine when I sent it in, now when I press the button, it does not light up at all", he responded "The light could have failed coincidentally. We do not do light work." Rather shocked and angry at the time, I replied "Wow, so you're telling me I paid $160 dollars to have you break a feature on a watch that you were supposedly repairing for me, to have it blamed on coincidence and not a single sorry or apology to be said? I have never dealt with a firm as unprofessional and apparently as inexperienced as yourselves in my life. Your slick website suckered me in but I have had nothing but issues since sending my watches in, from your refusal, Adam, to answer my questions via email earlier this month about the estimate demanding that I call during business hours instead right up until receiving my watch back broken earlier this week and your clueless questions and answers about which watch and by Indiglo did I mean the light that made me feel like I was dealing with a company run by children. I will be contacting the Revdex.com, Federal Trade Commission and Bureau of Consumer Protection about this transaction and make it my personal mission to post reviews of my negative experiences in dealing with your firm on [redacted] and any other public outlet I can find until this issue is resolved to my satisfaction." To which Adam replied "Do not confuse correlation with causation. The light module and the movement are two separate mechanisms. Judging by the age of the watch, I am surprised it worked at all at this point. Their shelf life is not this long." And that was the last contact I had with anyone at their firm. You may also want to check out the reviews on their website for false advertising claims or if the reviews they have posted are even from real customers as there is not a single negative review there but I just checked [redacted] and it is the exact opposite. I only wish I would have checked there first before trusting these people to handle my property. Thank you for your time and thank you in advance any help or advice that you are able to offer me.Desired Settlement: Since I now have zero faith in this firm's repair work or warranty and they broke the main feature on the watch I paid them to repair then said they could and would not fix what they broke, I would like a you broke it you bought it outcome where I will ship the watch back to them and would like a full refund in return.

Business

Response:

Simply put: our work does not have any affect on the Indiglo light on his watch, which is worn and not working any more.

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

The light was working just fine minutes before the watch was boxed up and sent to you so it makes total sense that the person who disassembled and cleaned the internals is the most likely one responsible for it not working now. Did your repair person even bother to check to see if it was functioning either before or after he completed his work? It's very hard to believe that a "master watchmaker" as you call them did not take notice of it since "INDIGLO" is written in bold letters on the watch face and the stem to set the time also controls the light. If it wasn't working when it arrived in his hands, I should have been notified that it wasn't working and that your firm did not do repairs on lights then, BEFORE the work was paid for or started so that I could contact [redacted] to make an insurance claim. But you missed that chance to deflect responsibility from yourselves, which is very surprising because that is the only field your firm seams to excel in other than website design.

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

Sincerely,

Business

Response:

Again there is simply no way the customer can possibly be sure we "destroyed" their light. Lights burn out.

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

[Your Answer Here]

My complaint has not been resolved because no progress has been made. The business owner still flat out denies that they had any thing at all to do with the breaking of the light on my watch even though they were the ones who disassembled it or even give me answers as to why I was not notified that the light was no longer working when they received it so that I could file an insurance claim with [redacted] or decide not to have it worked on before I paid for the repairs. Not even the slightest apology has been made by the owner nor has any offer been made to take a look at the watch to see if the fix is as simple as their repairman leaving a wire disconnected. This business only pretends to care about their customers and the property that they entrust to them up until the point that you pay them your hard earned cash, after that they could care less about you or your watches and their one year warranty on their work, which is part of what the customer is paying for, is completely worthless.

Review: MISLEADING, POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, A COMPLETE SCAM! I got several quotes on repairing the crystal on my Michael Kors watch. When I emailed prior to choosing who to use to get a general estimate on pricing, I received an email saying $25-$35 was typical for that watch, and the website states $29+, so this seemed very accurate. They do require return shipping paid by customer, but not to. This seemed like a deal. When I got back the bill, it was $87, almost three times what I had expected. When speaking to their RUDE customer service, they quoted lines in terms and conditions excluding me from any free return shipping or fee waiver for an inaccurate quote. She explained how any good watch repair service would repair gaskets etc and do a pressure test or your watch won't be completed properly, but it's funny how that was NOWHERE on the site or in the quote I received directly from the company when I asked for a COMPLETE price estimate. I absolutely understand there are several variables to repair and shipping prices, but that is a $10-$20 misprice, not $50-$60, or if there are so many variables to the equation, simply email back saying you aren't able to quote, and this is why, and you don't want to give an inaccurate price. Me, as just a consumer, not anyone who repairs watches, could have just known this, and if I had, where did it say this was a requirement... It didn't. This is a joke. Now I am PAYING to return my watch to me after absolutely nothing was done to it. This seems all done on purpose to mislead the customer and trap them into paying for a service out of the frustration of having paid for shipping and spent several days time waiting only to receive absolutely nothing but a complete and utter shock.Desired Settlement: I would like the watch repaired for the $40 on the final bill received, since I do understand that $25-$35 was a ballpark estimate, which was exactly what I asked for. I want to have shipping options on return shipping, as I just received, and have it returned via USPS for $7.50 as quoted. This should bring my bill just under $50 for everything, which is just about or just a bit more than I previously expected.

Business

Response:

Our website states that these kinds of repairs are "starting at". Many repairs do fall into this price range, but we insist on seeing the watch before we can give a firm quote. This way, we can give the customer an idea of the price but without committing to say for sure, depending on the million variations of watches and repairs out there.

Review: I send my broken watch for repair in June *, 2013. They ask to allow 5-10 business days to get a repair estimate. In June ** (more than 10 days later) they told me they need to ship it to the Factory for another estimate and this will would take 2 to 4 weeks; I agreed. Never hear back from them until September * with the estimate, 4 moths later from the time they got the watch!! At this point I told them I don't want to do any business with them and they charge me for shipping back my watch; I was agree to pay the shipment. Today November * I still don't have my watch back, I call costumer service and they ask me to wait until the end of the week to see if I finally get a shipment notice !!!. They been "working" on my watch for almost 5 MONTHS !! No repair, no watch.Desired Settlement: I want my watch back overnight shipping and I a refund of the shipping charges since they are so late!

Business

Response:

There was a mis-communication with the customer - we were awaiting his response on a special situation. He is getting the repair work for free and it shipped today: [redacted]

Review: Did a web search for a business that could do watch repairs on an expensive watch. This company's web site promises free inbound shipping and advertises that prices are $79 for complete overhaul. I sent the watch (I paid the shipping, they did not as the web site did not work to let you ship). I got back a ridiculous estimate of $399.99 PLUS $79.99 PLUS $16.17 shipping. They ask you to either accept OR there is a button "request reduction in estimate". I hit the request reduction and got back a quote of $299.99 plus $79.99 plus $16.17 shipping. I told them that was still unacceptable. They then shot me the last price of $279.99 plus $79.99 plus $16.17 shipping. I told them this was unacceptable and requested that my watch be sent back at their expense as they did not pay the first shipping. They refuse. They held my watch for a month and would not return it to me. I finally paid the $16.17 shipping to get my watch back.Desired Settlement: I would like to have an apology for very poor customer service and a refund of my shipping of $16.17

Business

Response:

We provide free estimates, but we do make sure the customer is to read the terms and conditions or the FAQ to sign up so they are aware that there is a return shipping fee in the event they decline the repair. The fee comes directly from [redacted] computers.

Sincerely,

Review: On May **, 2014 I sent my Michael Kors chrono watch to Watch Repair USA to get an estimate for the replacement of the glass and a new watch strap. I found the company online because I wanted to get an original MK leather strap exactly like the old one. They received my watch on May **, 2014. On May **, over 2 weeks later, I received a completely inflated and outrageous estimate of $165.00 (I had bought the watch for $175.00!). Of course I declined the estimate and received an e-mail from [redacted] at Watch Repair USA, confirming that my watch would be shipped back as soon as I paid $14.67 for UPS. I paid his company that day via [redacted] and also complained about the unreasonable estimate and that I wasted all this time plus $14.67 for nothing. An entire month later, on June **, 2014 I still had not received my watch and was furious. I had been unable to take it to France with my for vacation because by holding my watch for now 6 weeks I had been cheated out of the opportunity to get it repaired for a reasonable price elsewhere. So I once again e-mailed [redacted] who replied that my watch had somehow ended up in the approved pile and was being repaired accidentally but with no charge to me since it was their mistake. This, he said, would make up for all my trouble. I was okay with it and kept waiting. Finally on July **, 2014 my watch arrived from Watch Repair USA, UNREPAIRED, still with a broken strap and a scratched glass. NOTHING had been done to it and I was terribly disappointed. I immediately contacted [redacted] and asked for a (real) explanation for the delay and requested to have my shipping charges refunded since I have no intention of paying anything for that kind of horrible, useless service. But suddenly he was no longer responsible. He said [redacted] dealt with my watch and he was passing the buck. In his opinion [redacted] (who he is doing business with) "is a poor excuse for a watch company". He then said I authorized him to send my watch there so I needed to deal with them now. I never heard the name [redacted] mentioned before since all correspondence, billing, even the estimate came from Watch Repair USA, and so I asked for his [redacted] contact person's name, company address, etc. so I could take it from there, but I have not heard back from [redacted] since. Clearly he refuses to assist his customer with this atrocious service, provided through his company! I would demand to have the watch repaired, as he claimed it had been, for 50% of the total estimate but I am afraid my watch would get damaged or disappear, either for months or forever, given the dysfunctional organization.Desired Settlement: I want an explanation of why my watch was held since May **, 2014 for no reason, and I want the $14.67 UPS charge refunded immediately due to the unacceptable delay.

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved. There has not been an explanation for the 6 week delay or an apology but Watch Repair USA has at least refunded me the $14.67 shipping charge this afternoon.

Sincerely,

Review: In beginning March 2015, I send my watch to this company to repair for the cost of $562(orignal ticket repair number is [redacted], after I send

It back the ticket number is [redacted]). I didn't receive this watch back until beginning of August 2015 . I wear this watch about one week. The watch have mositure inside and the time was not reading correctly. So I send the watch back to this company end of August. I talk to tag heur dealership personally, the represent told me the repair shop have done a bad job on securing the crown of the watch which cause mositure to go inside the watch. I have related this feed back to USA Watch repair, the owner Adam seems to be annoyed and starting to give me attitude. Til now, I still haven't receive my watch back yet. The last email he send me is on 12/*/15 quoting "[redacted]". I'm disappointed in the service and very angry how I'm being treat. I have all

Email and document that support my situation.Desired Settlement: I just want the watch back asap in one

piece....fix or not ...I want a full refund so I can send this watch back to tag heur deal ship.

Business

Response:

We not only spent hundreds of dollars in parts to cover a non warranty issue. But the watch ships today, and the customer received a tracking number yesterday.

Review: This company advertises watch repairs and uses examples of $29-$39 for select repairs.

When I sent my watch to them, they sent me an estimate for $350! This is the value of the watch itself.

When I asked them to ship the watch back to me they want to charge me $18 to ship it back!Desired Settlement: They should ship the watch back to me free of charge.

They should also be fined and should cease and desist from this type of business practice.

Review: I sent my klaus kobec watch to be repaired. WATCH REPAIR USA, SENT ME A SERVICE REPAIR BILL FOR $ 122.99, OF WHICH I PAID FOR IN FULL. THAT WAS IN NOVEMBER. I RECEIVED A PAYMENT RECEIPT. THAT WAS ALSO IN THE FIRST WEEK OF NOVEMBER 2014. I INQUIRED ABOUT THE SHIPMENT OF MY WATCH BACK TO ME ON NOVEMBER [redacted] 2014, AND WAS TOLD THAT IT WOULD FINISHED AND RETURN IN 2 WEEKS TIME. AS OF NOW JANUARY *, 2015 I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED A SHIPPING DATE, OR MY REPAIRED WATCH RETURN TO ME.Desired Settlement: THEY WILL NOT ANSWER THE NUMEROUS PHONES LISTED TO THEM, AND WILL NOT ANSWER MY EMAILS. I WANT MY WATCH KLAUS KOBEC, MODEL 52798, RETURNED TO ME REPAIRED, AND WITH A WARRANTY, AS PROMISED

Business

Response:

Customer paid 7 weeks ago. Because Timepieces Internation, the company who makes Klaus Kobec watches, takes a very long time supplying parts, we expect the repair will be completed in 3 weeks or less. The customer could have simply called, emailed, live chatted us and we would have told them that. The Revdex.com is not a way to request repair status.

Review: I sent my mans [redacted] watch to Watch Repair USA back in September (received 9/*/2014) for a repair estimate. They sent an email stating that they needed to send the watch to Switzerland for the estimate ( and that it would cost me $100.00 to do this (I believe this was a lie just get the $100.00 from me). In either case I declined the estimate and requested that my watch be returned back in early November. After several emails offering me excuses for the delay, all communication has stopped and their phone doesn't work. It is now January *, 2015 and I still do not have my watch.Desired Settlement: Return my watch in the same condition that it was shipped.

Business

Response:

We have been in touch with the customer as well as the [redacted] factory with this situation. We have consistently explained to the customer that it will be back in our possession next week. Complaints and aggressive measures will not hasten the delivery of his watch which was sent overseas.

Sincerely,

Review: My 1-yr old Philip Stein watch battery has died. So I sent out my watch to this company to have my battery replaced. After a week, I received a notification indicating that "battery replaced, watch not functioning properly. Results of pulse test indicates watch movement requires repair." So they're planning to "overhaul" my watch -- meaning taking it apart then putting back together -- for $230. I told them that my watch is still under warranty, but they still insisted on the repair bill. So I declined the action and have my watch sent back to me ... for almost $15. After 18 days since paying the shipping fee, my watch & I were reunited. Upon careful inspection of my watch, I noticed the hands were loose and free! Not only that, the crown won't adjust the date anymore! My watch came out worse than when it went in! Their incompetence has destroyed my watch!Desired Settlement: I want them to send me a replacement working Philip Stein watch.

Business

Response:

Please have customer contact us for a free inbound shipping label so that we can correct the loose hand issue which may have occurred in shipping. It is never our goal to return a watch in different condition than received.

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

my watch was placed inside a well-padded shipping box, so I don't agree that the watch was damaged during transit. In addition, even though the company pays for shipping inbound, I will have to pay shipping again to have the watch sent back to me. Had they performed quality check on my watch before sending out, I would not have to file a case. My initial desired resolution still stands, or if I get written agreement from the company that they will repair and put my watch in working order, at no cost to me, then I will accept the action. This has been a very time-consuming and frustrating experience for me.

Sincerely,

Business

Response:

The customer is now over-stepping their bounds. We agree to return the watch in the same condition it was (supposedly) sent to us. I use the word supposedly because we have no way to prove or disprove what they are saying. Are processes are such that they would prevent a situation like this. We are being gracious and offering to return the watch in the same condition at no cost, with no argument.

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted]. I had the business state in writing that, in my view, they will correct their mistakes and send the watch back to me at no cost. I had to protect myself from such companies that say one thing and do another. I expected the business to fulfill the agreed action within a reasonable amount of time.

Sincerely,

Review: I purchased a watchband via e-mail with [redacted] on January **, 2014. I was not told that this was a final sale as is evidenced by:

1. the sales receipt, which was not marked final sale

2. nine days of correspondence with [redacted], the store's customer service representative

3. an e-mail dated January **, 2014 from [redacted] telling me that I had made a final sale purchase

4. [redacted]'s response to American Express on February [redacted] admitting that his representative had not informed me of the final sale status and that she made a "mistake" when she told me I could cancel my order

5. Because the sale was not made through the website, I was not given the Terms and Conditions document, which [redacted] points to as justification for charging me. (In addition, as I read this document, it describes a policy for watch repairs rather than watch sales.)

Clearly, Watch Repair USA did not inform me of their "final sale" policy and should not be able to invoke it after the fact.Desired Settlement: Refund $199.99 to my American Express Card.

Business

Response:

This frivolous complaint has been ruled in our favor by the merchant which is American Express. Five separate times this customer has wasted our time fighting a frivolous claim. He cancelled the order many days after the band was ordered by us from overseas. This order involved us wiring non refundable money to the company in question. The customer refused delivery of the package, and it remains in my outbox bin for redelivery.

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

[Your Answer Here]

[redacted] continues to lie by omission. The point is that I was not told that my purchase was a final sale until I cancelled it (at which time, I had purchased the same watchband from another company at half the price). I was provided misinformation by his customer service representative and should not be charged for his company's mistake.

He is correct that I cannot seek satisfaction from American Express. But, not because they think that he is in the right; he has refused to issue a credit, so they are powerless to help me. However, they did tell me to seek a third party remedy.

I do not consider someone stealing $200 from me a frivolous matter.

Response:

This is a simple black and white case. The credit card companies have already determined this. There will be no refund. The customer was carefully and repeatedly explained the simple facts.

[Your Answer Here]

This is a black and white case. When I cancelled the purchase, Watch Repair USA invoked a "final sale." This is outrageous behavior and should not be allowed. The documentation is clear. I should receive a refund.

Watch Repair USA is in the wrong, and they continue to refuse to refund my money.

Sincerely,

Review: I sent my Montblanc watch in for replacement of the battery. They sent me an estimate for several hundred dollars worth of repairs

( including maintenance ) I asked them if they opened the watch to check the battery. They responded that they did a non invasive pulse test to determine the repairs needed ( They did not open the watch ) I had them return the watch unrepaired. I had to pay $28 for return shipping.

I took the watch to a local jeweler in [redacted]. and asked them to replace the battery and check the watch. They replaced the battery, said the watch was fine and didn't need any repairs. I asked the jeweler about the non invasive pulse test. He show me the device that did the test. He also told me that the device would not show any results if the watch battery was dead.Desired Settlement: I feel they should at least cover the cost of return shipping and also that potential customers be warned that they are not honest. They will pad their estimates and unsuspecting customers will be duped into paying for more than they need. When I emailed their customer service department explaining my bad experience, I never got a response.

Business

Response:

I am the person who conducted this test. It reported back with a "weak amplitude and high consumption". The estimate was provided accordingly. Thank you.

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

[Your Answer Here]

Whatever method was used to diagnose the problem was problematic. I requested a battery replacement and instead was given an estimate for several hundred dollars. Even if there was a weak pulse ( I suspect there was no pulse ) the most likely cause would be a weak battery.

After the new battery was installed, I had the jeweler test the battery. He told me it was dead. I firmly believe that this is proof that the estimate was padded and that I could have easily been a victim of deception if I had trusted this firm.

Review: A few weeks ago I contacted customer service via email, asking about if was posible to send a watch to setup the time on it. I tell that the model of the watch and that for me if was very difficult to setup the time because is a world time watch and I don't have experience with this type of wrist watches, they reply me that they can do it for me and told me to send the watch. After 2 weeks that I send the watch they told me that it was $9.99 for the manual of the watch and $25.00 dollar for the return shipping via [redacted]. I paid $8.00 dollars for the shipment via [redacted] with a Insurance of $200 dollars. They want to charge me $25 for the return of my watch without the setup, only with the manual.Desired Settlement: I want that you be fair, because I ask before send my watch and you told me that you can setup the watch, and now you are selling me a copy of the manual without any time setup. the return shipping is too high!, is not fair to pay almost $30 dollars. Please send it trough [redacted] (Insure with tracking) it only cost $8 dollar on a flat rate box.

Hope that you can understand this way.

Review: I sent an Italian watch to US watches for repairs to have the Crystal and battery replaced. They said that the watch needed much more work and was non operable in spite of the fact that watch was operating when it was sent to them. The watch was sent to them in late December. They were told that the watch was worthless to me without the crystal and I specifically stated that they NOT perform any repairs unless the crystal was available and in their possession. I communicated this to them in 20+ emails which I and saved and can provide. They refused to confirm that they received these communications. They claimed to have ordered the crystal from the Italian company that built the watch. They provided me with the name of the person that they ordered the crystal from. After 6 weeks with no end date for the repairs I inquired (in Italian) to the person they said they ordered it from. The reply was, in no uncertain language that the crystal was NO LONGER AVAILABLE. When I provided this information to them, they said that they are having the crystal custom made and have performed the unauthorized repairs in spite of the 20+ emails specifically telling the NOT to perform the repairs. They have refused to provide me with the name of the custom supplier and a copy of the purchase order.I have requested of them to refund the money they obtained from me (minus shipping charges) and return the watch to me. At this point I do not care if I never get the watch back but do want the $279 back.I have documented and saved all the emails described above and can provide them.Desired Settlement: I have requested of them to refund the money they obtained from me (minus shipping charges) and return the watch to me. At this point I do not care if I never get the watch back but do want the $279 back.

Response:

In the customer's estimate and transaction receipt, the following was noted for their review before committing to the repair:"Special order genuine Momo crystal + installation (Takes approx 2-3 months on backorder from Europe)."As it has been 42 days since payment we are still within the estimated timeline.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:I wrote in Italian to the person who he said he ordered the crystal from and the reply was "the crystal in NO LONGER AVAILABLE". When this was communicated to US Watch repairs, the reply was "we are having it custom made. I requested the name of the company that is making this crystal and a copy of the purchase order, I received no response. I requested over and over again (see attached file) NOT to perform any repairs until you have the crystal, this was disregarded and they claim to have already performed the repairs and expect me to pay for them. The watch is worthless to me without a new crystal. I do not believe they will get the crystal and then expect me to pay for the unauthorized repairs. This behavior is the same as the numerous complaints regarding them. I wish my money (minus any reasonable shipping charge) and watch returned to me.If they really are having the crystal made, why won't they provide me with the name of the crystal maker and a copy of the purchase order?

Response:

For the last time, it is [redacted]. We have already given you their information, and you have already contacted them. They are making the crystal. Revdex.com, please stop this harassment. We have real business to attend to.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

The contact in [redacted] you gave me said the crystal in NOT available in any timeframe. Show me the COPY OF THE PURCHASE ORDER. Please read my conditions to withdraw this complaint, if you do not I will continue to request my money and watch back.Your previous response said you are having it custom made please supply the name of the company that is making the crystal, contact information, and a COPY OF THE PURCHASE ORDER. This is not an unreasonable request and if I can verify that the crystal is in fact being made I will drop all complaints, otherwise, I have to assume that the crystal is not available and wish to have my money and watch returned to me. I will NOT pay for unauthorized repairs.

Review: I sent my watch for a replacement band to this business in August 2015. When I sent it, the watch itself was working perfectly and I wrapped it carefully for shipping. The band was replaced, but in the process, Adam C[redacted] (the watch maker) opened the watch and replaced the frame as well, since the frame comes as one piece with the band. He then sent me back the watch, but by the time it reached me, the watch no longer worked and stopped after a few hours. This tells me that something in the repair process damaged the watch.

I then called the business and explained the situation. Adam agreed to fix the watch for free. I sent it a second time; Adam sent me an invoice for a new battery, which I paid, even though I knew that the battery was not the problem. A few days later, I received another e-mail asking for payment for repair of the movement. At that point, given that this was the result of a poor repair, I asked that Adam honor his promise of repairing the watch for free. He refused and all his e-mails denied any responsibility.Desired Settlement: Refund to me of all repair charges, parts, and shipping charges since August 2015.

Business

Response:

Despite the fact that the customer is categorically incorrect and simply pointing a finger at the last people who touched the watch, we are covering it because we don't want the headaches.

Review: I sent in a watch for repair a few months ago. I wasn't able to open the package when the repair arrived for a couple months. When I did open it, the glass front of the watch was cracked. They have a 1 year warranty but will not honor it. It's obvious the watch has never been worn since they fixed it because the new watch band has no wear. They insist the damage was done by an impact. I asked for a picture of the impact mark. They refuse and are only sending the watch back as unfixed.Desired Settlement: I'd like a refund for the first watch repair since it wasn't repaired.

Business

Response:

The customer waited a month to "open the package". If something was damaged in shipping (highly unlikely), it is too late to notify UPS. I offered to talk to the customer to understand the chain of events, but he promptly hung up on me. The Revdex.com is for when businesses hang up on customers, not the other way around.

Review: I paid for the services on ** June 2013with the understanding as posted on the company web site which stated 3-6 weeks for the services to be rendered.. It has been 7 weeks and still no status update on their web link they (the company) refer customers to, no response to recent e-mail inquiring as to where my watch is. I did get an e-mail ** July after my first inquiry only to be told again "Overhauls generally take 3-6 weeks (although sometimes a bit longer) so it should be ready soon. As soon as it ships, we will email you a tracking number. Thanks! [redacted]".

My recent inquires have gone unanswered. I have not been able to get a recent response as to my status other than the same initial status "it is being worked". The company has my money and my watch. I am really concerned as to the legitimacy of this company now. Their service is horrendously horrible. The amount of money charged for the repairs one would expect much better service and follow through with the repairs and return of the watch.Desired Settlement: I would like my watched repaired and returned to me as contractually agreed upon. I've paid for the service and have grave concerns that I've been robbed of both my money and watch by this company. I am also extremely concerned that having to complain to get the watch repaired and back that the company, if they are not robbing people of their money and product, will sabotage my watch in retaliation..

Business

Response:

We have responded to every email inquiry this customer has put through. The most recent one, he sent today. He wanted an exact completion date for his Rolex repair. I responded that I would provide an exact completion date via a phone call for tomorrow morning. However, in light of this complaint which has been filed, I just left him a message which provided that completion date a few hours earlier. In any case, it will be shipped this friday. There is no cause for panic.

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory if followed through with. I do find it interesting that it took writing to the Revdex.com to get a date in which my watch would be completed. Time will show if they follow through with their word of completion and delivery. Customers should be aware that the company’s estimates are not to be considered realistic.

Review: I sent my watch to Watch Repairs USA about 5 or 6 months ago and I still haven't recieved my Invitcus watch after I paid them to send my watch back because I declined serivce after they told me it would cost me $250 dollars to repair after having my watch for about four weeks. I paid $25 dollars so they could send my watch back. I still don't have my watch. My customer service number is #[redacted]. I'm 45 years old an I can truly say this is the worst business I have ever dealt with. This company is a scam.Desired Settlement: I want my watch returned.

Business

Response:

Watch was shipped USPS priority mail [redacted] the package is en route.

Review: I sent my watch to this company in November of 2013. The watch is a Poljot Sturmanskie Yuri Gagarin model with 3133 movement. The watch (when working) is about a $550.00 watch.

The company received the watch and sent me email updates letting me know that they have the watch.

About 3 weeks later I received an estimate of $499.00 to repair the watch. I thought about it because the it is almost the price of a new one, but the company offers a 1 year warranty when the new watch has no warranty to so I decided to use the repair service.

I didn't have the money yet to give to them so I sent an email back to the [redacted] asking if they can hold onto the watch for a while until I have the available money.

The [redacted] agreed that he can hold onto the watch and said take your time.

In the meantime working for the military I transferred from California to South Korea.

on Aril [redacted] 2014 I sent an email asking the [redacted] if they can ship the completed watch to an APO box here in Korea. On April [redacted] the [redacted] replied saying yes, there is no problem shipping the watch to an APO box.

On April [redacted] I made a payment of $519.12 to Watch Repair Usa for the repair and shipment of my watch to me.

$499.99 for repair, $19.13 for shipping.

On June [redacted] I received notification that the watch was completed and had been shipped to me via [redacted].

I checked the tracking number, and still to this day the tracking number says it's in a status of "Pre-Shipment Info Sent to [redacted]"

That is the only update to my tracking number.

On the [redacted] of Jun I notified the [redacted] that something is wrong with the shipping as there is no update to the tracking number, and that recieving an item here at my APO usually takes between 6-12 days to arrive and now it was 20 days with no watch and no tracking update.

The same day the [redacted] replies saying "give it another more week it will get there eventually. "

I waited another week and contacted the [redacted] again. I informed him that I've sent and received over 100 packages from my location here and the normal time again is 6-12 days so this is an unusually long time to be waiting for a watch as now it's been about 30 days with no package or update to tracking.

On July [redacted] he says "Ok I will file an insurance claim."

I said fine, keep me updated.

I send him an email on August [redacted] asking him where are we at with this insurance claim.

On August [redacted] he replies that he is still waiting to hear back from his insurance and asks me to check the post office.

I reply to him on the [redacted] of August that there is no watch from him at the military post office.

On August [redacted] I sent him an email asking him how long was this supposed to take and did he insure the package with [redacted].

He replies on the same day saying it needs about another month because they are slow like the DMV.

On September [redacted] I send him an email saying that it has been longer than 1 month more, and can he give me any sort of update to the situation.

It is the [redacted] of September and he has now neglected to reply at all to my message.

I'm now without a 500$ watch and have lost another 500$ on a repair.

I have come to learn that this company is not reputable and for all I know, it's possible that they never even repaired or actually mailed my watch back to me.

The tracking number seems to indicate this as well.Desired Settlement: Refund for my repair of 519.12

Business

Response:

The insurance claim is still being reviewed by [redacted] capital.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

[Your Answer Here]

Claim was said to be made on JULY [redacted] 2014. It is now October * 2014. No refund has been issued, no proof that a claim has been filed. No proof that watch was even mailed to me at all. It was indicated to me that I would have a refund by mid September.

Additionally me getting a refund from the company should not be contingent on when the company get's refunded from their insurance. The company should issue the refund and themselves be responsible for waiting for their payment from their insurance company. Instead the burden has been passed onto me, the customer. I have done nothing wrong to the company, I paid all the money they asked in good faith. I have lost a 500$ watch along with another 500$ for repair and the company or [redacted] doesn't even have the common decency to refund me at least the repair cost of the watch. I have exercised much patience, I have been courteous and professional with this issue. I have not overburdened the company with emails or phone calls. I emailed about twice a month and never called them.

I have detected a sense of irritability and arrogance in the replies that I have received from the company and this is not deserved at all. I have paid for a service almost exactly 6 months ago and I have nothing to show for it and the company appears to have made no effort whatsoever to correct the situation. This is completely unacceptable.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

[Your Answer Here]

There was zero process for over 3 months before I filed a complaint with the Revdex.com. It seems that after I was told that a claim would be filed on July ** 2014, the claim process appears to have started in Early October.

I have entrusted the company with my watch and a fair amount of cash and I am still without either. This is going on now for a substantial amount of time. Until the company acts in a responsible and ethical manner, and I have either a refund, or the watch, this claim is unresolved. It is not my job to wait for their insurance investigation, which again I have actually zero proof there is even a claim that has been filed at all. If it is true that the watch was simply lost in the mail, that's fine, but the business should act professionally and do what's needed to satisfy the customer. Instead this has turned into nothing but a hassle and unneeded headache. When it is time for the business to step up and do the right thing, instead they have evaded and ignored. Very shady indeed. There should is no excuse to operate on such a negligent and discourteous level.
