Horrible customer serviceThey will tell a residential customer they must wait weeks for repairs be if you agree to be locked into a business account they can be there tomorrowThey promise credits on your bill then and send you a bill for zero dollars followed by a late notice for a full months payment

I have had positive help from a man called Ty in tech supportToday I was not able to access my e-mails and was given a screen reason that I needed to update to Windows I called to complain and when I asked for tech support I got a woman called Monica who acted like she was tech supportAfter she kept repeating things about how Windstream can't be responsible for this and never listening I asked for her bossA lot time later Rob called me and again it seemed he also could do nothing except upgrade me to a higher speed for more moneyAnd he has no way to record my complaint and he has a boss but we can't talk to him and Monica is a great employee.Windstream wants to get rid of all the $49.99/month people so they can charge more and continue to throttle down service add excessive charges in addition to the $/month for life bill and get away with itReminds of bad foreign based phone banksThey are not there to help at all just repeat sentences.Rob blamed Micreosoft because it has targeted Windstream(even though all my other websites worked fine) and that Windstream is not making money off of the fact we can't check are e-mails unless we get Windows

The company is very unlevelledSome days I can call in and get a ticket open and somedays they say you are not on the accountStrange serviceSome appear to be sleepy others cannot comprehend what you are asking of them

I have been a Windstream customer for years as they are the only company that servces my areaIn the past years we have had multiple outages in a month, slow internet, high ping, and horrible customer serviceWhen calling to complain, they just tell you to move the wiresAs an IT major, I know it takes more than moving a wire to boost speedWe pay bucks a month for internet that is not reliable, slow, and nearly impossible to useI will be switching to sattelite internet to get away from windstreamDO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

I signed up for Windstream and was told it would be installed on 8-5-16.Waited all day no one showed up or called.I called and they told me that the tech would not be able to install it for that daySaid we would have MondayWent in to local office in Brookville on 8/in morning and was told that we were on list for late afternoonIt is now 6:00Pm and no one has shown up or called saying when they would make it.They are very unreliableWe left them years ago because of there unreliability of keeping appointments, looks like nothing has changed..They have very poor customer service

Windstream is probably the worst ISP you could think ofIn rural areas the service will never work, even in large citys the internet they provide is terrible at bestIn rural areas the averagre upload/down is around .230GBSIn town its around 1.4GBS at bestTheir customer support is non-existentUpon calling you will be placed in a system of holding for around half and hour and refuse to explain why your not getting the connection speeds you pay forThe technicians they send if they ever show up are basically apes with tool beltsI've started to believe they will hire anyone with a pulse to be a customer service rep/tech as even someone with no motor skills could likely assist you moreMy recommendation is if you need to contact windstream for assistance is to simply pick up the phone and listen to the dial tone (if they supply phone service too you probably won't get one)

I signed up for the service on march 25th was told my service would be on by April 7thI've already paid deposit on this service come April 7th they tell me the don't have this area ready they have to put a switch in and doing it on the 8th the would call me that eveningWhen I asked if my service would be connected the day the switch was installed they said it may be another week to two weeks because they have other clients with appointmentsTo me that's not right I'm a paying customer none of my emails from them say it will be hooked up unlessit just said it would be hooked up The supervisor I spoke with was rudeIf they weren't the only internet where I live I would not use them and I would not recommend them to anyone

By far the WORST ISP iv ever dealt withThey constantly no-call no show their appointments
Iv had dates this month, Dec 6th, 13th, and Today the 20thfor an upgrade installAll appointments the techs have no-calledI average between and calls a day to their customer support line through out the day (am, 10, 11:30, 1pm, pm and 5pm.) Today I only had to make it to pm to find out they were going to reschedule me for a 4th time

STAY AWAY!!! This company is a disgrace to all...I could literally write a page essay about all this company does that is so wrong for consumersThe gist is this company is useless, they will charge you one price for internet at certain speeds regardless of whether or not you are even capable of receiving those speedsThe other major problem with this company is lack of communication between inner departments let alone lack of communication to customers...and no this does not matter if you are a new customer nor does it matter how long you have been with themAlso if you do have to have internet provided with them good luck on getting decent and reliable speedsBottom line is if at all possible STAY AWAY, FAR FAR AWAY!!!

I ordered internet and phone service through WindstreamI received my modem that doesnt workWe contacted Windstream and were informed a technician would come to diagnose the problem, in two weeks

We have business lines with this companyOf course, they have a monopoly, so we have no alternative

I have now been on hold another minutes
This company is beyond incompetentThe only reason they are in business is because they have a government granted monopoly

only apologies after apologies,
sales support sucks, but not as bad as customer service

I am going to switch to infinity for internet, nothing can be as bad as Windstream

I Have had Windsteam service in my homesince March I have never received a billing statement through the mailBut every month I receive a notice of a late paymentWindstream charges me late feesAgain I have never received a payment in the mail
It happened in MayWindstream waved the late feeHappened again in JulyWindsteam said they would wave the late fee for JulyWindstream didn't wave itSeptI receive another Notice, with late feesAgain I never received a billing statementWindstream said thy are not going to wave the late fee for AugIt seems convenient to not send a billing statement then charge late fees! When I spoke to a windstream rep(***) on Septshe said windstream had set up a paperless bill which I've never received either
To me this is bad costumer serviceSomething needs to be done

Today is November 17, -Since October 19, I have called Windstream twelve times to let then know our landline phone or internet was not working.Each of these calls lasting minutes to over an hourDuring this time there was almost a two week period when a neighbor informed me she was getting my personal messages left on her answering machineWhen I called from my phone, it was showing up on caller id as another neighbors phone
My frustration with Windstream continuesThe representatives answering my calls have been apologetic and tried to compensate for the loss of my time and service, although at this point I am just fed up with having to deal with these issues each day

I have been a windstream customer for at least a decade and I am yet to be satisfiedOur internet and phone service have both gone out and it seems like windstream will not fix our issueJust yesterday we called the customer service line to report our problemThey told us that they garenteed that they would have the situation fixed by P.MtodayIt never happenedNow they have told us they will have it fixed in a weekThis is unacceptableI am not angry about this situation aloneWindstream is, by far, the worst company I have ever done business withFrom horrible services to no service at all, windstream has always let me downThey should be dealt with

I am a new customer This is the WORST customer/technical service experience I have EVER had - I am not exaggerating Windstream has been an incredible joke I received a self-install kit on May 6, It did not work Called TS and technician was supposed to come May 7th I stayed home No one came Called several times on May 7th and was 'guaranteed' someone would come on May 9th No one came Called TS May 9th at pm No ticket was entered so no one was coming Tech now to come May I stayed home No one came Called corporate office May at pm Someone came in the late afternoon My phone line was cut at the box, 500+ yards from my house, across the street Line laid across the yard and over a tree (across the street) to the box Phone and internet working Someone supposed to come within days to bury line Someone came May to look, said tech would be here May No one came Called several more times to find out when job would be completed Asked for a manager TS said he didn't know the name of his manager so I couldn't talk to the manager I asked for the name of the VP of Service He didn't know who that was I asked for the corporate office He didn't know the number Said a Tech was supposed to come May to bury line I stayed home No one came Called May No ticket was entered Tech now to come May to bury the line I stayed home It's 4:pm on May 26th and no one has come Called corporate office Still have exposed phone line laying across my property and up over a tree to the box Job incomplete Have stayed home over days (had to take my personal time) When will this job be complete? I am not holding my breath
I have called many other telephone/internet service providers because if I had a choice I would fire Windstream immediately Unfortunately Windstream is the only game in my town I suspect this is why there service to this area is so poor - there is no other choice They have a monopoly and simply don't care about servicing their customers or if their representatives are untruthful and make promises If you have the choice, RUN My next letter is to the GA FCC

We are new home owners in a small city next to where we used to live in Maysville, GaWe moved to the area and setup our internet service through Windstream in Commerce, GaWhile the process of moving and setting up was easy and painless, the technician came out on April 20th and established our service and connected us to our WiFi experienceAll was great, but we still had our service line above groundThe technician assured me that the time for this was about weeksI called Windstream on April 27th to make sure this was the caseI was reassured that it takes about that time, thus speaking to different people with the companyShortly after that day I had met with an Engineer to come "look" at the line and he assured me that all was setup and ready to goWe were just waiting on the "crew" to come out and bury the lineThen after about weeks of waiting, I called Windstream a 3rd time and spoke with another representative who told me that the order was actually placed twice, and that the process of these things take about 3-weeks for them to bury the lineAt this point I was a little disturbed at the lack of knowledge of some of their representativesNot knowing the process and time for an event to take placeI was polite, but made the point that I was upset with everything that has transpiredIt is now 06/06/2016, and we still have a service line above ground through the yard in the city of CommerceWe have gone from 04/20/to a still waiting on them to come outand bury this lineThen if things couldn't get more troublesome, on 06//our internet service stopped workingWe can connect to the service, but the internet will not load, stream, or access the home security app on our phonesWe called windstream a 4th time to let them know of the internet outage, and they told us they would have our service up no later than thursday 06/I suppose they would pro-rate our service, but I doubt they'll be willing to do that, as they haven't really went out of their way to assure me that they really even careThis is the worst experience that i've had with any companyI'm very upset with the service or lack their ofI would not recommend this company to anyoneIf you can't give a service that you promise people, then you shouldn't even be given the opportunity
