Complaint: I am rejecting this response because: I called this in to Alliance United PRIOR to October This is the day the letter was sent to me, as well as another letter both received on October I was given the name of the insurance company by the Police Department prior to picking up a copy of the face sheet on October 6, which it is documented on the face sheet when I picked it up In reading other complaints it appears I may have to go through my own insurance company to take care of the damages and medical as it appears others have had the same problems with investigations and questions of "admission of coverage under our insured's insurance policy" per the letter dated October 7, which also advises me "you may wish to consider proceeding through your own insurance company to repair you vehicle" and additionally nothing else will be paid "should coverage be found to be in order, you may not be compensated for expenses that could have been avoided through the use of reasonable measures" In the letter dated the 6th it says I can be told how to proceed with being reimbursed for medical but then in an email says they won't pay This ordeal is very confusing and information misleading Regards, T [redacted]

The claim was reported to Alliance United Insurance Company on February 26, by A [redacted] who works at a repair facility She reported two vehicles being involved, our insured’s Nissan Rogue and a Ford Focus, both of which were at the shop at the time We secured our insured’s statement on February 26, and cleared the coverage portion of the claim We then received a call on February 26, from H [redacted] ’s daughter, ***, wherein she was informed us that her father, H [redacted] , was involved in the accident She told us that H [redacted] needs a rental car [redacted] was told that we just received the claim that day and an investigation was needed [redacted] was advised to have H [redacted] file a claim with his insurance carrier as the investigation would take time We spoke with [redacted] again on February 27, and obtained H [redacted] ’s information We spoke with H [redacted] on February 28, and he was advised that the investigation is ongoing as we need statements from him and the driver of the Ford Focus H [redacted] did not want to provide a statement at that time as he just wanted a rental car He was informed to file a claim with his insurance carrier as our liability investigation is pending and we have to determine if there is enough coverage for both his vehicle and the Ford Focus Additionally, a mitigation letter was mailed to H [redacted] H [redacted] was never told that we are not responsible for this loss as the liability investigation is still ongoing We obtained a copy of the police report, however, the officer did not witness the accident, therefore, the police report is a portion of the liability investigation Our insured’s statement is another portion of our investigation as well as the statements from any other drivers H [redacted] and his daughter, ***, have been fully aware and updated on our claim to date They have also been given direction for moving forwardThank you,
