The customer is correct that we did in fact reach out in order to do the annual maintenance for the upcoming season.  We often do this in an attempt to get ahead on maintenance when workload permits.  I agree with the customer that if they choose to not renew, then they should not be...

charged for the cost of the plan nor the cost of the tune up as we initiated the communication.  When we received the customers message, we credited the cost of the plan renewals and any finance charges.  This credit was logged in our system  on 12/6/16, before this complaint was filed and as of that date they have a zero balance with us.   I apologize for the lack of proper communication in this matter as I would have preferred that we communicate the resolution directly with the customer.

on 1-6-2016 Patrick m. came and serviced my generator. he was very thorough and went about doing his job quickly. he was very knowledgeable and moved through the task smoothly and efficiently .Patrick is well versed and experienced in his field. I was very pleased. thanks Patrick for a job well done.

My husband and I bought a 60 year old home in Richmond. While the house was in good condition for its age, 60 year old pipes and wiring will have problems no matter what. After a few such discoveries, we signed up for Woodfin's home inspection program. The home inspectors are on time, courteous, and provide a detailed list of ways to help to keep our home maintained and functioning. Just today, our electrical inspector [redacted], for example, made a detailed list of all of the electrical problems with the house with estimates, and gave us an honest description of each to help us make an informed decision about how to prioritize repairs. Their prices seem fair compared to our experiences with others in the business and their service is exceptional.

[redacted] did an excellent job servicing my generator yesterday. He was courteous, professional and accomplished the service in a timely manner. Woodfin has a top notch employee in [redacted].

Chris C[redacted] and Kevin A[redacted] installed a new heating system in my home over the last 3 days. They were extremely professional, knowledgeable, explained everything to me in a kind way. They were both tops!!!!! Would definitely recommend Woodfin to others.

Dylan was professional and thorough. He cleaned up his work area and was very respectful. I appreciate his honesty and that he didn't try to sell me anything (as many companies do) during a routine furnace cleaning.

We had a whole new HVAC system installed in our home. The Woodfin team headed by Jesse A[redacted] worked quickly and efficiently with a minimum of disruption and mess and cleaned up after themselves each day. They explained what they were doing all along the way and answered any concerns or questions we had. So far the system is working well.

We were really happy with the knowledge of the salesperson & the professionalism of the install team. Brian (salesperson) took plenty of time to educate us, so we felt like we were making an educated decision. And Brian L[redacted], the Install Tech, was professional and patient in explaining how the system worked. Woodfin has a great reputation and we were happy with our experience.

Dalvin, my boiler tech, does fine work. He is professional, friendly, helpful.

Steve D[redacted] did an excellent job.

Electrician Jesse H[redacted] #209 installed a vanity light fixture in my master bath. He had been out before and diagnosed the problem which occurred because the original fixture had become defective. He was very helpful in making recommendations for a replacement, etc. and when it was purchased came back for the installation. He was very professional, did neat and expert work, and was very helpful in explaining the process.

Steven did a thorough, efficient and professional plumbing inspection explaining the process with explanations of specifics such as the water shutoff valve, back flow controls and the annual inspection process. In addition he quickly prepared an estimate for installation of replacement toilets.

Professional, considerate, conscientious, efficient, and so many more words to express our satisfaction with Woodfin for over thirty-five years. We have never been disappointed. I'm at a loss for supperlative words. [redacted], [redacted]

Robbie B[redacted] has been our HVAC "doctor" at Bikram Yoga Richmond for 8 years. He's a heat genius and hard working. We always ask for him! He understands our unique 105 degrees, 40% humidity like no one else! Thank you Robbie!

Chris was on time and, as I have come to expect from Woodfin staff, was courteous and competent. He and his assistant Will muscled my old water heater out of a cluttered basement and up steep stairs and then muscled the new one in - without complaint!
The work was done neatly and quickly and they cleaned up after themselves. They also fixed a leaky outside faucet so I no longer have to keep a bucket under it when I use it.
I have used Woodfin for a number of years, for both plumbing and electric work as well as to care for my very old oil burning boiler. When I moved to Richmond, my neighbors recommended Woodfin and I have been very grateful.

We had a problem with our outdoor light. Woodfin's electrician, Jesse H[redacted] was prompt and very courteous. He tested all of our switches that were connected to our outdoor lights and explained that all we needed was a new switch. Jesse has been to our house before and has always been very thorough. I recommend Woodfin for any electrical problems and ask for Jesse H[redacted].

I called with an electrical issue and within 2 hours Jesse was at my house, diagnosed, and fix the problem. He was prompt, courteous, and very respectful. He explained the issue to me and had it resolved within no time. I was able to return to work in time for my next meeting.
