[redacted], plumbing technician at Woodfin, provided a variety of plumbing services on 8/25/15 including replacing complete drain in double compartment sink. We are very happy with all the work that he did. He was very polite and graciously answered all of our questions and addressed all of our concerns. His work was performed in a very professional manner. The finished product exceeds our expectations. We would not hesitate to recommend Woodfin and use them in the future.

Great review for Woodfin's Brian L[redacted] and Chris C[redacted] - both Installation Technicians. They installed a new HVAC system in my home this week, and dismantled and removed the old boiler/furnace and AC systems. Both Brian and Chris are very personable, polite, friends, clean and professional. I am totally pleased with their work and give them the highest praise.
In addition, in over 12 years of working with Woodfin on the old HVAC system in my house, every time anyone has ever come for service, they're been very helpful and top-notch.

My heat pump was serviced by a technician named James W[redacted] on Wednesday, July 20. He was very thorough and explained what he was doing as he progressed through the service checkup. This is the first time a tech from Woodfin has serviced my equipment in the 13 years that I have had it, and I would use this company again.

I use Woodfin for all of my home needs. Jesse H[redacted] does great work. He goes out of his way to make sure all of my issues are resolved.

Woodfin is the most honest & dependable A/C business in Richmond and I would know because unfortunately we have used about every one in the area. This is the only business that I have rated a 10 on Revdex.com because they are the only one I would refer to a friend without hesitation.

Arrived on time. Very professional, courteous and friendly. Explained everything clearly. Work area cleaned up very nice. Would highly recommend

Woodfin's customer service is amazing. Their technicians are professional, courteous and reliable. From the time I called and scheduled the appointment, to the time the tech arrived on time - and solved the issue! - we were impressed and would not hesitate to use Woodfin for future needs. Highly impressed!

The Woodfin Service Tech Matt was on time, and completed a professional and detailed A/C Service for my whole house central A/C unit. I recommend that you ask for Matt -19T for your service. I also recommend that you get the best value by signing up for the Woodfin Maintenance Plan.

Jesse H[redacted] works hard and efficiently on site, yet takes time to respond to the client's questions and suggestions. The work was completed in a very professional manner and the work site was left clean. Jesse appears to very much enjoy his work and those with whom he works.

We had 30 gallons of heating oil left (we use about 5 gallons a day), so we ordered 100 Gallons of heating oil from Woodfin (since they are only a few city blocks from us) on Feb. 9th. We were told the delivery would take place on Feb.10 and were charged for the delivery on Feb. 11th. All other heating oil companies charge you AFTER they deliver the oil, so we figured it was delivered as scheduled and charged. We ran out of oil early Feb. 15. Because we had no heat and it was expected to get down into the Fahrenheit teens, we contacted their "24/7 emergency line" and they said they would get someone out right away... I called back later that day, and they said someone would call and get it delivered first thing on Monday. After dealing with a heat-less night, Monday rolls around and no call. So we call them back and they want to charge us a second time for the same delivery and that someone would be out shortly. After calling back at 3pm, they say someone may be out after 5 pm that day. While our patience was running thin we tried to be as cordial with the customer service staff as possible, but that was even made difficult because 2 out of the 5 calls made, the staff was short tempered, unknowledgeable, and unhelpful.
I later called another heating oil company, Capitol Oil, on Monday afternoon and they were able to deliver heating oil even before Woodfin... more than a whole 1 week faster than Woodfin. As a result of Woodfin's ineptitude, out boiler's pipes froze and we were without heat downstairs for 6 days with some of the coldest temperatures on record and on the 7th day, those pipes started leaking. Tried getting an "emergency plumber" but eventually had to go with another company, because again, Woodfin took their sweet time and has no sense of urgency or customer service.
This company has been blacklisted from this property and all other rental properties I own and I strongly encourage new customers to look elsewhere first.

Jesse H[redacted] came out yesterday to check out a security light in my mom's front yard that has not been working for some time. He was SOOO helpful. My mother is 84 and on a fixed income and he made suggestions that was within her budget. He is coming back out Monday to finish the job. He was very courteous and helpful.

Dylan was prompt, knowlegeable and professional. I was getting a furnace tune-up but I suspected I needed more. I did. Dylan explained what and why. Once he opened up the heat exchanger he saw problems and explained them to me. And even though it wasn't bad enough to condemn the furnace, it was clear that it was just a matter of time before it would need replacement. He gave me the option of simply getting the part replaced or getting a new system. Given the age of system, I opted to replace it. He removed the part he had installed. There was no charge for the visit, though if I buy my new system from them I will obviously spend a lot for that. But I didn't feel he was trying to scare me, just give me the facts.

Matt T[redacted] did a great job. He called to let us know that he was on his way. He was neat and professional.

The customer is correct that we did in fact reach out in order to do the annual maintenance for the upcoming season.  We often do this in an attempt to get ahead on maintenance when workload permits. ...

I agree with the customer that if they choose to not renew, then they should not be charged for the cost of the plan nor the cost of the tune up as we initiated the communication.  When we received the customers message, we credited the cost of the plan renewals and any finance charges.  This credit was logged in our system  on 12/6/16, before this complaint was filed and as of that date they have a zero balance with us.   I apologize for the lack of proper communication in this matter as I would have preferred that we communicate the resolution directly with the customer.

[redacted] was very professiponal, courteous, and thorough at replacing the existing water heater, explaining its operation, and explaining the protection plans.

The customer has made no such effort to contact anyone here at Woodfin.  Our phone system tracks any and all incoming calls and we have received no calls from the contact number listed on the complaint since 9/22/14, the date the resolution offer was made.  That being said, I am having a check sent to the customer in the amount of $300 as an additional refund in an effort to resolve the situation without the need for a any follow up from the customer.   Please advise if anything else needs to be done on our end.

I have used Woodfin for many years. They give top notch service. The people are trustworthy, polite, and very professional. I have never been disappointed in their service either by phone or in person ... and I'm a tough critic. Grateful for their high standards, fair pricing and outstanding service! Great job guys!

I have been dealing with Woodfin for years. I have annual checksup. They are an excellent company and response immediately if a need comes up.
