Chris K was very thorough with his tune up and inspection of my heating system last weekHe explained his findings and was very knowledgeable

Our home was build in 1965, and we finally reached the point where the A/C was unable to be repaired This turn of events also warranted a serious discussion about upgrading the oil furnace...also the same age From start to finish the Woodfin team have been nothing but professional The service team delivered the tough message, and scheduled an appointment with [redacted] before they left our house [redacted] "listened to hear" our short-term plans to downsize and presented us with realistic options, and even investigated the option of converting to gas heat with the gas company [redacted] and his team installed our unit in a single day, and called to review the specifics and allowed me time to ask questions I came home finding no evidence they were there other than the new system [redacted] called later that evening to be sure I was satisfied We've been customers for years and didn't consider going anywhere else to replace our system They are consistent in their quality service and appreciation toward their customers

Woodfin and all their team members have always been wonderful to deal with and are beyond respectful of being in my houseMy wife and I highly recommend Woodfin for all their services

Just had [redacted] *from Woodfin help out with an electrical issue we are having in our Century-old home He will return Friday to finalize the estimate This company has been our for heating, AC, and plumbing many times before, and we trust them to do a good job for us [redacted]  was so very pleasant and courteous, as all their staff are I highly recommend them

I have been a Woodfin customer for a number of years, mainly home heating oil and maintenanceI recently purchased a new furnace from WoodfinEveryone I have delt with has been friendly and professional without being stodgyI highly recommend Woodfin for all of your home hvac, plumbing, and electrical repairs/work

[redacted] inspected our home today on our electric service contract He was prompt in arriving and immediately set to work As he worked through the house he gave us very useful recommendations about wiring and outlets, and answered our numerous questions The entire experience was very positive

We received our annual maintenance PM on our A/C unit today The technician arrived in the time schedule that I had arranged when I set up the appointment He was very knowledgeable of my system and spent the time to check all components of the system He also explained to me one thing I had done wrong when changing my air filter This is the type of professionalism you would expect from a Woodfin technician

I had my bi-annual HVAC cheby Woodfin and was very pleased with the experienceThe technician assigned to my inspection was named Robert (33) and he called minutes before getting to my home in the pre-scheduled time and was very professional with his work and answered all of my questions in a laymen's term for meHe fixed a problem in one of my units by changing the quick recovery time from minutes to minutes and it quieted the unit done very nicelyI have had these checkups done for the past years and I have requested Robert to do for me from now onThanks for having this person on your TEAM Woodfin......He is an asset !!

Hired for a complete removal and reinstall of two new HVAC systems for the recently purchased home- weeks to do a one week job, did not coordinate with the Electrician even though contact information was provided to them and he had to wait for their call as his work was dependent upon theirs as it was in stepsI would call for a status update (three times) to find the work had stopped waiting for the electrician to come to the site however, "if you do not call him he will not know to come to do the work." the electrician was never called until I, the customer called for a status update to find he was needed on site Multiple delays by Atlantic- I was told, personnel, too much work, etc Week I asked for an update as we were moving Friday 5/and asked -"will I have AC- the response from the Sales/Project Manager ( [redacted] ***) was "you have AC available" Moved on 5/8; on 5/no response from the thermostats so the Service Weekend call tech was called and he came out in about minutes and tells me- the AC was never startedso I have AC available does not mean I have it because it is turned on - is this a game of words that was played with me???? It was unprofessional to say the least The next week noticed zone not efficient- we had moved in, looking for the Return Intake duct work for zone and of us look for the intake- called Atlantic to ask the installers where the return duct was installed to find it had not been installed and the work incomplete, yet I was assured the system was complete and no more work was to be done I was informed emphaticallyapparently no management oversight nor supervisory to oversee the work as it was being signed off as complete and it was not till the customer questioned the work based on a zone which was not working correctly nor accurately, and the component could not be found I was contacted and informed the Return duct had not been installed and they would return to complete the job - showed 5-days afterwards to complete the work The zoneconsisted of the south facing glass enclosed sun room, the kitchen and family roomAtlantic had placed the thermostat in the sunroom, on the south side facing wall- even their own technicians questioned the placement of the thermostat by the Production Team and their management for efficiency and effectiveness as well as the rationale I had them move it to another location less influenced by direct sunlight As of this writing I still wait for a corrected bill statement now requested for the 3rd time I was sent a bill dated 6/with an 18% added interest rate for an unpaid balance based on the initial bill date of 4/1, which is when I signed the contractHowever the last work on the project (install of the return duct done around 5/ was not taken into account till I addressed it) - billed when work is done or bill me when I sign the contract- it was the first however, and was told a corrected bill would be sentI have agreed to send a check once I receive a corrected bill, which I have now requested for a third time in weeks as of this morning 6/ The company had been provided a key to access the house since we were not living there at the time the work was started and supposed to be completed before we moved inHowever since then and as of this morning still the key cannot be found by Atlantic so it cannot be returned as of yet The quality of the equipment and operation is not in questionThe operation of the company and questionable ethical and moral fiber of the company is in question as are the actions of the staff there in my personal opinionIt appears lip service is what they do well as I still wait for my key, and a current bill for me to pay and I have now multiple times told them send me a current bill and I will write you a check to pay in full and I have yet to receive a corrected bill as we have discussed now on three occasions Into the 6th week of a one week project is questionable also and never an apology for the misfires on this project

Just a quick review on Woodfin's Installation Technician: Steven H [redacted] and his teamHe led a team to do a complete installation of a new Carrier system and it went "Fantastic" He was very skilled, knowledgeable, and professionalSteven and his team completely answered all my concerns and questions to understand the new system Thanks to Steven and his team we are really enjoying our new system

We had gallons of heating oil left (we use about gallons a day), so we ordered Gallons of heating oil from Woodfin (since they are only a few city blocks from us) on Feb9th We were told the delivery would take place on Feband were charged for the delivery on Feb11th All other heating oil companies charge you AFTER they deliver the oil, so we figured it was delivered as scheduled and charged We ran out of oil early Feb Because we had no heat and it was expected to get down into the Fahrenheit teens, we contacted their "24/emergency line" and they said they would get someone out right away I called back later that day, and they said someone would call and get it delivered first thing on Monday After dealing with a heat-less night, Monday rolls around and no call So we call them back and they want to charge us a second time for the same delivery and that someone would be out shortly After calling back at 3pm, they say someone may be out after pm that day While our patience was running thin we tried to be as cordial with the customer service staff as possible, but that was even made difficult because out of the calls made, the staff was short tempered, unknowledgeable, and unhelpful I later called another heating oil company, Capitol Oil, on Monday afternoon and they were able to deliver heating oil even before Woodfinmore than a whole week faster than Woodfin As a result of Woodfin's ineptitude, out boiler's pipes froze and we were without heat downstairs for days with some of the coldest temperatures on record and on the 7th day, those pipes started leaking Tried getting an "emergency plumber" but eventually had to go with another company, because again, Woodfin took their sweet time and has no sense of urgency or customer service This company has been blacklisted from this property and all other rental properties I own and I strongly encourage new customers to look elsewhere first

Scotty was on time, very polite and professional Fixed the problem, recommended the plumbing contact as a way to save money which I very much appreciated! I have used Woodfin in the past and will continue to use them for future issues

Extremely professional The technician was well informed about the Art Cool equipment he came to service He found the problem very quickly We were very pleased with the way in which he handled the problem

My husband and I bought a year old home in Richmond While the house was in good condition for its age, year old pipes and wiring will have problems no matter what After a few such discoveries, we signed up for Woodfin's home inspection program The home inspectors are on time, courteous, and provide a detailed list of ways to help to keep our home maintained and functioning Just today, our electrical inspector [redacted] *, for example, made a detailed list of all of the electrical problems with the house with estimates, and gave us an honest description of each to help us make an informed decision about how to prioritize repairs Their prices seem fair compared to our experiences with others in the business and their service is exceptional
