 i was not aware of this policy and the manager [redacted] did not inform me of this policy. she told me in December 2016 that my account would be closed by her while we were on the phone. I was not aware that I needed to send any written paper, or else I would have emailed to cancel. I understood by our conversation that my account would not be billed after december 2016 because my membership was closed

Good Morning! As we have stated in previous response, we are happy to assist Ms. [redacted]. We are truly sorry that Ms. [redacted] is upset and feels as though she has been misinformed in any way. We do not cheat and or strong arm any of our members in any way possible. Our membership agreements outlines all of our policies and procedures, including our cancellation policy. (Which has not changed and was not changed on 3/21/17 as Ms. [redacted] has stated). If Ms. [redacted] had any questions and or concerns in regard to any of our said policies our General manager at our [redacted] location would have been available to answer and or go over any of said policies.

Mr. [redacted] visited our [redacted] location on 7/29/17 to inquire about cancelling his Work Out World agreement. Mr. [redacted] did indeed fill out our cancellation waiver. We do believe Mr. [redacted] was given a copy of...

said cancellation waiver that states that you membership is not cancelled until you have contacted [redacted] and provide them with a 30 day written notice or copy of cancellation letter. ( Please see attached cancellation form) Mr. [redacted] contacted [redacted] on 8/1/17 in regard to his cancellation. [redacted] instructed Mr. [redacted] that he is unable to cancel his membership verbally. Mr. [redacted] called [redacted] a second time on 9/8/17 in regard to cancellation. Mr. [redacted] advised that he sent certified letter to [redacted] location (We do not have confirmation that letter was received) and also stated he has placed a hold on credit card on file. [redacted] then advised Mr. [redacted] would not be responsible for last month as member paid last month up front at the time of joining. As a courtesy we have cancelled Mr. [redacted]'s membership effective today 9/11/17 with nothing further due. Thank you,

Freeze request form was filled out and signed by Ms. [redacted]. However, this request was not sent to our Corporate office from...

processing. Our sincerest apologizes for the oversight. Our corporate office received a email in regard to Ms. [redacted]'s account on 9/21/17, after Ms. [redacted] contacted our Methuen location in regard to the error made. On 9/22/17, our corporate office processed a credit in the amount of $95.94 towards future dues. Due to this credit, Ms. [redacted]'s account is currently paid up to December. ( This also includes annual fee) On behalf of Work Out World we would like to apologize again the the oversight of our Methuen location and for the rudeness displayed by our staff. We do our best to ensure that all employees are helpful and friendly to all members regardless of the circumstance. We have cancelled Ms. [redacted]'s membership effective immediately, as well as process a refund in the amount of $95.94. 6 months @ $15.99 ($20.99 - $5.00 freeze fee =$15.99) Thank you,
