Wyndham Hotel Group Reviews (111)

They double booked my stay for different days inn locations within miles of each other on the same daysI found this out when I saw a charge of $on my account on top of the payment I had expectedI contacted Wyndham for them to reverse this fee and they told me it would take a week to review and they refused to do anything further! Meanwhile they have caused my account to go negative, I will get an overdraft fee and I already am not making much money due to a medical condition I suffer from! Who in their right mind would book stays at the same time?! Why did I never receive an email about this other reservation? They had no answers and sounded like they could care less

This complaint is in regards to a recent stay (November 25-28) at Wyndham Dallas suites at Park centralOn Saturday November 26, my skin started to itch and I went into the bathroom and observed I had several red inflamed bumpsMy initial thought was I had an allegoric reaction to something that I had eatenHowever, it became clear on the following day that it was something beyond this, as more bumps appearedIn fact, my mother had the same bumps appear on her the following day (Monday, November 28, 2016)That’s when we determined it had to be bed bugs and not any kind of reactionFrom there we went downstairs to check out, and inform the front desk of the issue/sWithin about two hours of us leaving the hotel we received a phone call from the director of security who advised us that the room was actually infested with bed bugsAdditionally, we were advised that an insurance claim had been filed and that I should be receiving a phone call from their insurance companyThe follo

After trying to check in for my reservation at the Knight's Inn in Moses Lake, WA on 4/18/2018, waiting for over minutes in the lobby without so much as an acknowledgement of my existence while the front desk clerk was on the phone, I was forced to seek accommodations elsewhere
When I tried to resolve the matter with the alleged property manager directly, I was hung up on, as she refused to cancel my reservation and not charge me for the nonexistent stay I called the Wyndham Hotel Group (WHG) customer service #, asking for my reservation to be cancelled and not charged, and was told that I would need to call "Customer Care" the following day to resolve this matter, and that they would issue me a refund based on the circumstances
So, I called WHG Customer Care on 4/19/18, as instructed, and was told that, based on the circumstances, I have a case for the request and that should have it resolved within a week
days later, 4/26/2018, I received an email from "Rebecca M." t

On Nov 5, I booked a hotel room at a Wyndham property (*** * *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** ** ***) and chose a pre-paid non-smoking room for the night of March 17, to make sure I had a room because I had roughly a hour layover and needed a safe spot to wait I arrived at the airport, called the hotel for a shuttle after getting my luggage and was picked up and brought to the hotel When I arrived, I was told he did not have my room but had a smoking room I told him I had very bad asthma and could not stay in a smoking room and requested assistance finding a hotel The hotel person waived his arm around and started saying hotel names I called one and found out they too were sold out I asked again for help and he said: "I found a room for you, it is non-smokingLeave your bags and come with me to check it out and you can have it" I walked with him to the room Immediately upon walking in I could smell the smoke and started having prob

I have a certificate for free nights from Wyndham "Extra Holidays" The minimum booking time is days and max is days The certificate says 'studio' and I am trying to book a studio They have a very short list of available locations and the location I've requested is within that list Everything about my certificate is within the terms I am trying to book for check in 10/and check out 10/(more than days, less than 45) I checked online and they have the studio rooms available When I call - they say that even though a room is available, there is a need to pay an 'upgrade' fee of $100/night for the exact room type stated on the certificate because there 'must be limited inventory' Nowhere on the certificate does it state an upgrade fee would be charge

This place is so terrible!
Someone with bass outside the room, I told the front desk and she lied and said she did something about it Door wouldn’t close/lock properly, smelled like cigarettes in the room, you can hear every plane go by I got in an endless loop with hotels.com/the hotel and no one wanting to let me cancel and go elsewhere It was so bad we had to go without a refund

I stayed at the Travelodge in Ft Myers on Cleveland Ave for one night on February 19-It was a last minute booking because my flight was cancelled, and I'd had great experiences with other Travelodge hotels, so assumed this would be consistentIt wasn'tI was shocked at the condition of the hotel, and I don't think Wyndham knows just how bad it isNot only is it a health and safety issue, it's simply disgustingI didn't expect the Ritz Carlton when booking, but the one thing EVERY hotel should be is CLEAN, and this hotel isn't cleanI couldn't take my shoes off it was that badI had to wedge a chair against the door to ensure it was securely closedI took pictures showing the door has obviously been broken down multiple timesI have pictures showing black mold on the ceiling, floors, and shower rodI would like to get in contact with someone at Wyndham to share these

The Howard Johnson University of Alabama is a disgusting placeGarbage is left piled up in front of the hotel; the web states that no pets are allowed, but at 6:a.ma dog was barking for about an hour outside of my door; loud stomping noise from upstairs lasted all night; the phone in the room was broken and one could not use it; torn wallpaper hanging from the shower wall; the creamer for coffee was hard/oldThe ottoman and two other cloth chairs had huge stains on them; the floors were worn/dirtyThe name is a misnomer because this place is nowhere near the University of AlabamaThis place is disgusting and should be condemned

Hello,
When auditing my travel expenses for the taxes, I noticed a discrepancy on a credit card statement that double charged one night and charged additional nights
Please see the following list of facts pertaining to this stay
-I booked a trip through Priceline on July 1, for a one night stay at your hotel, Wyndham Garden Tallahassee CapitolI have available priceline bill to attach
-I arrived at your hotel between the hours of midnight to am on Friday, July 1, and checked in
-I checked out of the hotel prior to check-out time around 10-am Saturday July 2, and ate lunch at the *** restaurant attached
- I was charged $as per the *** price agreed upon for the hotel reservation below for a one night stay on July 1, (I have card statement page 2)
-Based on a phone conversation with an associate of your hotel, the hotel is under the impression that I never showed up for my stayI dispute thisI clearly st

I would like to express how frustrated I am with my reservation and disappointed with how my issue was addressedI booked for a stay at Super Chicago Northlake O'Hare Airport (Super is a brand under Wyndham Group) for a one-night stay from August to 24, and one issue has still not been resolved, despite all sorts of efforts I have made
I need to note that I made the reservation on the OFFICIAL website of Wyndham Hotels, NOT involving any third party website, so I find the issues I experienced completely unacceptableUpon check-out, I received a folio which indicates $for room rate and $for tax and fees, which still remained unexplainedI booked the stay on the official website and PREPAID $for the room and $for tax and fees, and there should not be any reason for not being able to print a folio showing these charges appropriatelyThe hotel said that it was an internet reservation so they could not do anything with it, and that I need to contact Wyndham Group

what ever guest said is not true because we recently replaced the new carpet about two weeks before guest check in . instead of talking to front desk about room condition guest got busier to take pictures of everywhere she can get into and then used the room full night assuming she can get full...

refund later and stay for free if she complains now she won't be able to get free night stay. It's common sence that if the room was in that bad condition as she is explaining why would some one stay in the room.I offered her $ 10.00 refund thru Days Inn complaint just as courtesy but she refused to take it. I'm not giving full refund after staying full night in the room which she said was dirtiest.

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2015/09/04) */
My name is Larry [redacted] I am the Days Inn Manager in Worthington MN . I received a letter in the mail of a concern about a rate increase on a room rented 8/5/15 thru 8/8/15. I am not sure if the customer was under the impression that the rate was...

manually adjusted but after reviewing the folios for the customer on these dates I found that the rates were pre set into our computer. his rate was in the amount of 99.99 for wed 8/5/15 and thur 8/6/15 now on fri 8/7/15 our computers updated themselves to the weekend rate of 129.99. I have spoke with the general manager about this and he informed me that the customer was informed of this during check in. According to the general manager this is when the customer and himself had spoke of the rate change and the customer had disagreed with the rate. I have spoken to the maids that worked that floor of the hotel and they advised me that that particular room had a do not disturb sign on the door at the time of checkouts. our maids are informed that if this sign is present they are not to enter the room . I have spoke with the customer about the situation and have informed them that I refunded there card the 60.00 that was requested and apologized for any hardship that this may have caused to them as customer satisfaction is very important to us.

The Days Inn

Minot, ND 58701
On June 24, 2015 the guest room under the name [redacted] checked out from our hotel the Days Inn in Minot, North Dakota.
We have a strong NO SMOKING policy at our hotel in the rooms, lobby...

etc. We inspect our rooms daily. Upon the guest checking out the room was inspected and the room was found to have been smoked in. There were 3 witnesses to this smoking in the room, Andy [redacted], Kimberly G and Mamadou D. Our smoking fee is a $250 fine charged to all guest found to have smoked in the hotel rooms. We have signs posted in the lobby where the guest check in, in the rooms where the guests are, and the guest sign a sheet stating that if they are found smoking in the room they will be charged $250. We have spoken to the guest on several occasions about this issue and explained to [redacted] why she was charged $250. The room had to be shut down to be fully cleaned, carpets to be shampooed and all. The guest next door complained of smoke coming through his air conditioning vent as well.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 11629387, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

This customer was here during our Back to the 50's car show which is a big show here in the Twin Cities. The employee (no longer an employee) made an error when quoting prices over the phone and the mistake was caught during check in. The customer was well informed of the different rate at check in,...

and signed the registration card which had the correct rate on it. Customer had choice to accept new rate or leave without check in or being charged. Customer accepted correct rate and proceeded with check in.We apologized for the error and explained to customer. There will be no refund.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Unfortunately, we left the same day we reserved the room and our information can be located in the [redacted] computer system.
Regards,
[redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:
I was a single female traveling alone and did not feel comfortable at the time making waves. It was after 10 pm and I was exhausted from a day of travel. I feared other rooms would be in even worse condition. I consider $10 an insult, considering Mr. [redacted]'s lack of customer care and continued denial that anything is wrong with his rooms despite photos which prove otherwise. I stayed at three more motels during the remainder of my trip, all of which were hygienic, and for which I had no problem paying full price. Let me reiterate that I was not looking for anything fancy. According to their official Twitter account, Days Inn corporate claims to offer "clean, comfortable rooms at reasonable rates." I don't consider $76.92 a reasonable rate for a room that smells of mildew and smoke, has torn bedding, bugs, stained furniture and walls, and black mold growing near the air conditioner. At the very least, the black mold is a health risk and should be addressed.
