Summit was to help me with credit card debt. After 4 months plus I found one of my creditors seeing me and others charged off .They totally ruined me.I received letters from Summit saying they resolved a credit card company of mine at a reduced rate of 60 percent off...I called that creditor and they never heard from Summit. It was a lie. I also am being sued in court by a creditor they said they would take of.They never did. I might loose my property because they lied and did nothing again. I am a senior citizen and feel taken advantage of I sent them creditors papers faxed my court date and they did nothing I gave them checks totaling $1211.21. I called and told them my nerves are shot I want to opt out now and I want my money back for they did nothing for me but ruin me and take my money. I called today again every day this week even and today they said they would send me a check for $19.oo ! I'm devastated. 19 $ !! Please help me. I am old and can't afford to let a company take all and I do mean all my money.

No star but I had no choice. I will give a quick summary of what Summit Law firm did.... btw they go by a new name. I reached out to them to help me consolidate my dept, they told me they will take care of everything for me that has to do with the credit card companies. Long story short they took my money every month which was about $4700+, they never did anything for me, one of the credit card companies was suing me and when I reached out to summit to reach out to them they told me they did and I asked I had an attorney they told me yes, they lied. I send them the letter I received from the credit company 2 months in advance so they can take care of this issue and they never did. The credit card company said no one ever called to settle anything. When I reached back out to Summit they told me correct we didn't, we can't even find your email, which again was a lie because they told me they did receive it previously, and I had an email confirmation that it was received. They always lied to me for months about every single thing Ive asked them about, I started rallying extremely uncomfortable with them because they never took care of any of my issues and actually made me have a nervous breakdown. One time when I called them I asked to speak with a supervisor and he was so condescending and rude to me I was shocked, first of all I was paying them for this service (which they never did anything for me) and they were treating me like they were doing me a favor. This company is a huge scam, when I called them to cancel my contract with them I asked for me money back since they did absolutely NOTHING for me they said they will only send me $700 out of they $4700+ that I paid them, I asked them why they would do something like that since they did Nothing for me they said well thats just the way it is. I asked them to have a supervisor call me so maybe I can get something more and they said yes we will have someone call you back and no one has called me back, its been more then 2 weeks. These people are thieves and con artist. Everyone should stay away, I wish I did more research on them before starting. Nothing only was I trying to clean my dept the right way I also lost another $4700+ that I could of put towards my dept.

Company is taking money from my bank account. Money was supposed to go to credit card bills. Instead they are not paying anyone. I have been paying them for 8 months.

I hired summit law firm to handle my debt negotiation and consolidation. for 6 months the firm was drafting money from my checking account and did not contact any of my creditors stating that it is not enough money collected to contact any creditor. I decided to close my account with this company and get my money back approximately $2400 which were drafted. when I asked for my my refund I was told I will only get $350 and everything else are fees I just don't know for what business since the company did not move a finger to help me to eliminate my debt.
besides the company lied to me that I will be getting my refund in timely manner and making me calling other company trying to resolve tjis issue.
I still did not get my money back and would like to advertise that Summit Law firm is not a legitimate business .
Thank you

I would like case to be open until I get my refund check from Summit Law Firm and it clears.

I'm not sure if this is a contract issue, but the contract I signed to consolidate my debts isn't being honored. I asked *** solutions, which was my first contact that set me up with Summit Law Firm, what fees were associated with this account. They assured me there was only a $10.95 fee per month. I was to pay $302.82 a month and in 4 yrs and 4 months all my debts would be settled, the first negotiated settlement in 7-9 months. I asked many times what other fees were associated with this account, what would it cost me and I was assured time and time again there were no other fees. I have been unsuccessful contacting Summit by phone and letters. I just sent out an Email today. My credit is ruined. I am in my 70's and in a much worse financial position now than I was before.
I feel I was blatantly lied to to get me to sign the contract.
I was in desperate straights before, and now, it's worse.
So far, I have paid $2,628.63 to *** Solutions, holds the monies for disbursement. When I checked, there was $76 in the account, and no creditors had been paid.
I feel like I have been swindled, lied to, and taken for a fool, which I guess I am for believing what was in the contract.

We have attempted unsuccessfully several times to reach the client to discuss a satisfactory resolution We encourage the client to contact us

I signed up with Summit Law in January 2019 and was told that they would begin contacting my creditors for a debt consolidation and that the first payment would be made within 6-9 months & I would receive monthly calls in regards to progress. Calls were never received and any creditor I’ve spoken to in the past weeks has not heard from them at all in regards to representation. I then received an email from a loan company telling me that they have not heard from the law firm but that the accreditation has been suspended since May 31, 2019. When I called to inquire abt this I was told oh we changed our name and everything is fine although the representative could not tell me the new website or why emails still come through as Summit Law Firm and why I was not informed of the name change. I then spoke with someone else and am able to refunded the money in my account but not the fees which is not right considering that the fees were for services never rendered. Since it has now been 6 months of not paying particular creditors my only option is to file for bankruptcy bc I do not have the funds to bring these accounts current.

My name is ***. I am filing a complaint on behalf of my Mother against Summit Laww firm. , who is unable to do this, as she has been diagnosed with early stage dementia. Here is the situation: We signed up with this company last November to consolidate my mothers 2 credit card bills. She was contacted firstly, by a sales person (3rd part) stating they can save her money and she will have both cards paid off in 2 years. So, upon going through the process, it was explained to us that she makes monthly payments to them, and after 6 - 9 months, they will negotiate a settlement with the CC company's. They said, she doesn't have to do anything, they will make payment to them with a portion of the amount she pays Summitt law. They told me if the credit card company's don't settle, they may file suit, of which then, summit law will hire a local lawyer to represent her, and she won't have to worry about going to any courts, or paying the lawyer. Update: this last week July 3, 2019, Summit Law called us to let us know the credit card company's were aggressive, and are demanding 3 separate payments to total a specific amount, not including the payments they would be receiving from summit law that we are paying them. I was on the phone for a time trying to explain to them, that wasn't what we agreed to. They told us the settlement would have to pay after this was all done would be around 9,500 something. My Mother originally owed them 11600 something. So, we would save 2600 or so. Now, Summit law told us we would owe them 13,500 something now. I told them, that defeats the purpose of using their services they had sold us on. I told them this is a scam. I want all our money back. They are only going to send my Mother a small portion back, 900 out of 3,100 something. I have the sheet breakdown to be exact if they need my proof. They have a copy, so should know what I am talking about. Please send us the Full amount back, as we were lied to. Very dishonest. Thank you!

I recently quit the program due to Incompetence in relation with one of my creditors.

Overall, I received no updates about the situation unless I called. I did end up being garnished because the money given to them to pay a creditor never made it to the creditor. Supposedly a permission to disperse funds was needed and nobody offered this . I called 15 times before anyone followed through with this and the creditor flat out rejected the late funds. I am forced to file bankruptcy. Supposedly, these are professionals that handle debt on a daily basis, but how this was handled was beyond ridiculous.

This company scams people. I put in over 4000 dollars to them to wipe my debt and they never did anything. I am now being garnished for my debts and filing bankruptcy and they stole thousands of dollars from me stating that it was used for their fees. I wouldn't be surprised if they're using other alias around the country to fraud people. They do now have a new name called *** Llc. Please make these people responsible for preying on the weak.

Terrible place and complete scam. Do not deal with summit law firm now called wyatte or something like that it's all a scam. They take from you and do nothing in return. Nothing but create a worse mess for you. It's sad that they are stealing from hard working people trying to fix there debt but in reality there leaving you way worse off than you was. You will go to court and they wont be there. You will lose money. They will never contact anyone. It's a scam its sickening. I am suppose to receive some money back however I dont trust them for anything. Luckily my brother is the district attorney and we have abundance of lawyers and if it is not received we are personally flying out to handle it. Stay clear of these people. Scam!!!!!!

They said they would contact all the creditors that was listed we agreed to and let them know they was representing me and if ever I had to go to court for one of them there would be representation. They never contacted anyone and I went to court alone. They said that they would tell me they hadnt heard from them as a tactic to get paid by me sooner. I looked into everything. They never heard from them. They did not represent me. They left me in such worse spot than I was. It was a complete scam. I paid the 444.21 a month for nothing. I called and cancelled which I had to do twice because I was hung up on the first time. They did not do anything they was suppose to do but take my money. They are a scam now they have a different name. I dont know how this many people in involved in it. It has really made my family suffer and I dont want anyone else to get sucked into there lies.

We have reached out to the client several times to resolve the matter. However, she has been unresponsive. We encourage her to contact us to discuss resolution

I enrolled in Summit Law Firm in November of 2018. At the time of discussing the program I was told that I would be sending 534.22 into this account monthly to establish funds to negotiate my debt with my creditors. I also was told that there would be a letter sent to my creditors advising them that they will be representing my accounts. In January 2019 I called Summit to check on the status of my program and request copies of the letters they sent to my creditors in reference to my debt. I was told at that time they had not mail out any letters until there’s a certain amount of money in my account to negotiate with they wouldn’t because if they send out the letter to early I will more than likely be sued by my creditors. I trusted this statement and proceeded to continue depositing the agreed funds into my account monthly. In April of 2019 I reviewed my account and realized that the money In had been depositing into this account that was supposed to be setting in that account to build up had been depleted from all these fees that I was not aware of. I didn’t understand why or how I could be building the funds up (as told by the company that was the procedure to have the means for negotiations) if they was going to take the entire amount of 534.22 from me for fees every month which left my account at 0 balance. I understand there being fees but the fees are usually not your entire monthly payment. I contacted Summit again being that I was told at the beginning of the program that negotiations with creditors would begin 6 to 9 months after being in program. I contacted Summit again because I did not understand why they had found a way to attach fees that took my entire 534.22 every month. I got a representative from Summit on the phone (Andrew) I told him about my concerns and he stated to me that the company takes their fees upfront and that the company would not contact my creditors until 9-12 months of being in the program. I than asked Andrew had they sent out any letters to my creditors (as promised to me would happen in the beginning of the program) Andrew went on to state that no letters has been or would be mail to my creditors, and just don’t answer the phone calls or contact my creditors. I expressed to him that I was not happy with the program and would like to stop my drafts so that I can reconsider whether or not the company was the best way for me to pay my creditors. At this time he (Andrew) got very rude with me saying things like “ how long you think it’s going to be before you start drafts up again ” I told him I was unsure Andrew continued in a very aggressive voice “I need to know when you will start your drafts again “ I told him again I’m not sure at this time, and will he please just stop the draft. Andrew then stated the drafts will stop and there will be no more charges on your account because you can stop drafts for 3 months out of the year and he hung up.! Need to say Andrew speaking to me as if he hired me for services and he was giving me his money ( instead of me being in that position) didn’t set well with me in fact threw up red flags. After reviewing some reviews from other customers from Summit I realized it was a scam and myself as well as others who came in trusting this company to represent them in a time of hardship to try and pay back creditors. Since then my credit has plummeted and I don’t know what to do because I have given Summit over 3000. Dollars and they haven’t provided me with no service at this time ( not even a letter of representation to my creditors as promised in the beginning) that’s why I don’t understand what fees was covering since their not negotiation or working with my creditors. After reading the reviews and speaking with another Law Firm about the way Summit was processing my account, I decided to discontinue my service with Summit and requested a full refund of the money they have taken from me with no services rendered. On Monday, June 24, 2019, I submitted this request by phone to Summit Law with Representative Calvin in which he stated he was recording letting the company know I wish to discount services and that I would like a total refund I’m the money I drafted in my account ( in which they took). Calvin went on to tell me that Summit would be sending letters to my creditors stating they will not be representing me. I don’t understand that especially since they never sent my creditors letters stating that they was representing me these last 6 to 7 months that I have been paying them consistently. This company is not the best option to get debt relief in fact they seem to make things worse for the customer then helping them as promised. Praying that they refund all my money so that I can use that money to pay off my debt to my creditors. Because it’s clear they had no plans on doing that. So stressed and confused why people try and take advantage of people trying to do the right thing. Hoping there’s no problem with my refund as I have been told I will receive in 7-10 business days.
Regards

Summit Law Firm is not doing anything about my debt consolidation. They’re taking their fees the past six months and haven’t addressed my debt. Now they are trying to pass me off to a loan consolidation company. They’ve got their fees, done nothing and are trying to get rid of the actual work of negotiating credit card fees. How do they get away with this. They haven’t even contacted the creditors!!

We have reached out to the client to resolve this matter but have been unsuccessful. We encourage them to contact us to discuss a resolution.

We too are victims of the scam known as Summit law.We were mailed a paper last year saying that we qualified for a debt consolidation loan. I called the phone number and gave some information and was told someone would call me.I received email from a man in *** named Michael S,he said how we did not qualify for a loan, but he had just the answer and almost as good...debt consolidation with Summit. He was a slick talker and assured us that this process would work saving us thousands of dollars. We went with a three year plan paying over 700.00 monthly, they sent out a notary to go over paperwork, etc all.We were told that this company would place our money into an escrow account and begin working with our creditors-we were told that it could be as early as 3 months with an average of 5-6 months, our creditors would be negotiated with by their *legal department *,and our accounts would start to be paid .We were told they would send us a welcome packet detailing how to use this program. We were told that it was nearly impossible to get sued (two suits pending)and IF that ever occurred they would be to our defense.NEVER,have they done anything. We called and faxed them almost weekly, often several times per day/week.We had to file our own response to legal suits,WE did everything they did nothing.Every time we would call a different representative would have different answers to our questions, they would tell me someone in their negotiating department was working on our behalf and were sure to be contacting us soon (NEVER).Their salesman Michael S would not return our calls when we would leave messages begging for help. The stress of what they've done landed me in the hospital,I was just so worried, and I even explained that part of why we needed financial help was due to medical expenses (cancer last year and ongoing autoimmune disease). These people took our money, gave terrible advice, and were never going to do anything. We have since sought legal advice and our attorney has Angel on the record saying that they will refund our money (over 3000 dollars)she is on record saying that her manager (Jared)would be calling, that was 3 weeks ago.We have every intention of suing them for our money lost and damages. We have been fortunate that we have found an attorney to help us with the damage they have caused, and so far our attorney has charged less than Summit. These people are terrible, just terrible.I will also be contacting the attorney general of *** and the ***.Stay clear of this awful scam.

I have enrolled summit law firm for there debt consolidation program last September 2018. That time they started collecting me $524.32 cents until April 2019.I got summoned by one of my the creditors ,I gave them all the papers on the day I got summoned and contacted summit law firm for updates almost everyday I call them for ff up coz I want them to response asap on the summons.1 WEEK before the deadline ,they told me to file the response in the court by myself!.I was told its easy !get stress out and when I went the court it was more complicated than I though !clerk ask me which paper should I file?and on those papers it has legal term that a legal person only can understand!I was left hanging.SO terminated my contract w/them ,I was told that Ill get a refund!for the past 8 months the total amount that summit law firm got from me is$ 4,194.88 and not sure if they settled one?.!THERES ALOT OF FEES .I feel like this company just put me more on debt! I have 4 deaths in the family and this company makes my life more stressful and going to sleep with anxious mind esp that what they refund me only $96.97 cents. SUMMIT law firm are very opportunist company ,I hope the government will do something about it.

I have made attempts trying to get a itemized receipt that shows the justification for the money they are holding form me .
The account # ***has been closed there is 965.85 they are still holding and claim that 665.85 is money
They earned for services Conducted by there firm.
So I need a itemized receipt to show how you justify this claim.
The case worker was some one by the name Cory and he never has called me back to explain this situation there has been three attempts
And he never returned calls . And there was some sort of release form to have been Mailed that needs to be signed ? I have never received to this day.
The contract states retainer fee and monthly administration fees are 100 dollars monthly.
This service was canceled after three months and was misrepresented from the beginning. They never represented me in this matter for the three months I just placed money in a account for them to work with at a later date.
*** has been honest on the representation of the contract and returned $ 574.53
This matter needs to be resolved!

I wouldn’t recommend Summit Law Firm to anyone it’s a SCAM.I thought back in October that I was consolidating my debt only to find out that I’ve been SCAMMED out of my money.Summit Law Firm has done none of what they said they would do to help me consolidate my debt.I’ve called several of times trying to resolve my issue only to be told that a manager by the name of Barry would give me a call back but never does.None of my creditors has been contacted and my credit score has dropped tremendously this has to be the worst nightmare ever.Again I wouldn’t recommend Summit Law Firm to anyone I’m seeking legal representation against Summit Law Firm.

The problem is that the company suppose to help solve your credit issues. But none of my creditors have received payment, I had asked about this because I go to school and did not know this would have been a problem. Now I cannot receive a student loan because of my credit score has a major hit. The federal government wants 6 months of payment going to the creditors. I would think the law firm would do this, but was told they was going to do some type of settlement on those accounts. Now I have to go bankruptcy (Chapter 13), since I cannot get no end as to what should I do. The federal government will not accept anything from this law firm. So I hope to get my money back from this company and proceed with Chapter 13 since I cannot get the law firm to help with this situation.

This company was contacted to consolidate my credit cards into one payment and I was told that after I made payments up to the 1st 3- 6 mths they would start negotiating payments with the creditors then when I called back after 6mths they tell you that its after 6-9 mos. I've paid a total of $2870 and I still have credit card companies calling me stating that no one has contacted them. I am an elderly woman on disibility and this company is taking my money every month and not doing what they've promised to do. I am demanding that this issue be resolved or they return all of my money. I can't afford for this company to take money from me if they are not doing what they say. This company is basically a call center and there are no attorneys available. Please make them do their job. Why does this company have an A- rating when they have so many complaints about the same thing. This company appears to be a scam. I will be contacting the local news if this is not resolved.

I am rejecting this response because:It is not resolved as of yet. I received a phone call from someone representing their office simply saying that they were working on it and that an attorney would be contacting me. As of yet there has been no communication with my creditors yet and no payments posted yet. I am still awaiting a phone call from an attorney.
When I receive confirmation that they have cotacted my creditors and my payments have been posted then I will consider the issue resolved.

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:
I have not been refunded the total amount of the funds that were given to Summit Law Firm, LLC. I received a check in the amount of $428.40. The balance of $2433.13 has not been returned. They have demanded that I sign the agreement that was sent over to you in order to receive the balance of my funds. Due to the fact that this agreement has statements in it that are not true I will not sign this agreement. They did not have a problem taking my funds from me every month and causing my credit to be shattered. Therefore I do not feel there should be a problem getting my funds back. I have been contacted by them several times and each time I have advised that I want my funds returned in the form of a cashiers check. I have no trust in this company and wish to have the balance of my funds $2433.13 returned via cashier's check immediately. I have already put in a complaint with the Attorney Generals office. Please make them give me all of my money back. Per the enclosed document which you have already received the notice stated that they were refunding the total amount of $2861.53. As of yet it is NOT returned. I don't understand how this company can have an A+ rating and get away with treating customers this way.
