We have resolved this matter to the clients satisfaction.

I signed up with this company to help me with my credit debit. For the past five months they've been taking money out of my account. To this point they have done nothing to help me resolve the issues they said they would handle. A very large portion of the money they take goes to random service fees for a service that has never been rendered. None of the accounts I enrolled into the program have been contacted and nothing has been discussed about settling. This company is a total fraud!! They operate under the false pretense of a law firm to skirt the legality of being regulated allowing them to charge service fees up front and do no work. All the while my credit has plummeted and now cannot get approved for housing nor do I have money to move, plus the credit card bills have compounded due to nonpayment per their advice. I really don’t know what else to do. Please shut these people down.

I would not recommend Summit Law Firm to anyone. I decided to negotiate my debt with them. They tell their clients that they will negotiate their debt and within 5-6 months it will be settled. They also tell you that once your first payment is made they send out letters of negotiation to your creditors and advise you not to answer the phone or speak with your creditors. Here is the problem. They never sent the letters out to my creditors and did not negotiate any of my debt and every time I called someone different including supervisors would lie to me. After 3 months Matthew Hanley emailed me fake letters and those letters even had the wrong addresses of my creditors! I kept telling my creditors I had representation or just didn’t answer the phone like I was told. This caused me to have 3 civil summons served on me with court cost and fees. Now I owe those creditors more money than I originally owed and my credit is shot. I stopped my payments with them after 5 months and a representative even told me over the phone she was sorry that they had not negotiated any of my accounts. I ask for my money back which is over 2400.00 and they sent me a check for 300.00. I recently called a few days ago and they promised a supervisor would call but I know that will never happen. Please please don’t fall into the nightmare I did and do your research before you get involved with a scam like this company. They will just take your money and leave you in worse debt or bankruptcy.

I signed with this company in October 2018 I was told that they would help me consolidate some of my debt and that they would reach out to my creditors in 6 months and help me settle with them. I logged into my *** account today to see how much money I have accumulated and to my Horror, it says that I only have $84 in my account! I have been paying then $310.00 per month but they are taking $280 per month in fees!!!!! I am completely blown away at this. I immediately called them and they said that oh well after 10 months then you would stop being charged so in August 2020 then you will no longer be charged for some fee but not all of them. I asked them well how will you all be able to consolidate my debt when all of the money is going towards fees. I asked them about canceling and they said that no one is there to do that today. the total thing seems very dishonest to me and I am very concerned that they will be able to really help me get out of debt which is the reason I went to them in the first place. I feel really taken advantaged of, it is wrong for them to use a person who is going throguh a hardship for personal gain.

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because: The agent did not agree to give me a refund for the full amount that I paid to them which was $1513 and some change for services that I have not received. They agreed to provide debt settlement services to my creditors and as of the last conversation I had they said that they had only contacted one out of three creditors they were hired to assist with and that was back in November but no settlement was made. I was never advised of the correspondence and when I contacted the creditor myself on Friday April 12th they said that they were never contacted by anyone. According to *** law on the advance fee ban, It specifies that fees for debt relief services may not be collected until: the debt relief service successfully renegotiates, settles, reduces, or otherwise changes the terms of at least one of the consumer’s debts; there is a written settlement agreement, debt management plan, or other agreement between the consumer and the creditor, and the consumer has agreed to it; and the consumer has made at least one payment to the creditor as a result of the agreement negotiated by the debt relief provider. None of these things have been done on my behalf but instead of refunding me my entire amount of payments back I received a hold harmless "settlement" form which I have attached from them to sign stating that they will agree to give me a "settlement" of $650 plus the last payment that they drafted without my permission and the $79 they say are in my trust account out of the $1513 that I have paid to them since October. The only way that I will accept this is that they agree to refund me my entire amount back because they have failed to provide the services that I have paid them for.

We have reached out to client and confirmed the matter is resolved to her satisfaction.

I have been requesting for Summit Law Firm to send me a payoff statement since the middle of January 2019. Today is March 27, 2019, and I still do not have this payoff amount. I called and requested this to be done at least 4 times now. The last 2 times I was informed there is a rush on the request and that it will be solved within a business day. Neither time has that happened. I called yesterday, was informed I would receive and email today - that did not happen. I am paying monthly fees that should be billed to me as I tried to pay this off 2 months ago. This company is a scam that not only is taking my money and not doing their, but ruined my credit as well. Do not do business with this company.

I recently filed a previous report in which Summit Law Firm convinced me to state was resolved. However, they never resolved the issue. This is the worst company I have ever done business with. I highly recommend nobody ever work with them. They ruined my credit and never did their job. I have been trying to pay off this account since January, it is now the middle of May and it is still not completed. Every time I authorize the company to take out the amount I was quoted, something goes wrong on their end. I called yesterday and spoke to a representative who said he would have it fixed by my EFT this Sunday. Today, I received a new quote for $600 more than I was quoted a month ago. I just called again today and they said they will not honor the offer they made me on April 9th which I signed and returned. I told them I will not pay the higher amount; they quoted me in April and I agreed to that amount, signed and returned the paperwork. They said there is nothing they can do and the amount is the higher price. I will be hiring another lawyer to now sue this law firm for breach of contract.

I demand a refund for the services which I was never provided and breach of contract. I will also be hiring a lawyer to sue the company over this issue.

I canceled a contract prior to the deadline of services. That’s is documented by both parties. Then a week after that there was an electric transfer of $1202.that was UNAUTHORIZED- it has caused me to be on the phone each day since Friday for over 2 hours. They have lied every day stating that the money will be refunded since Monday of this week.
I have been left with a negative account balance and 3 ($35 each) overdraft fees. I have not had access to any cash since this happened on Friday.

After several hours, emails and conversations I am at a loss as to how to resolve this issue.

We have resolved this matter to the clients satisfaction

I hired Summit Law firm for Debt Restructuring in December 2018. An authorization to deduct payments from my bank account were made. After first payment was withdrawn, I contacted Summit to let them know I was changing banks, filled out the forms and submitted them back on December 28,2018.
No withdrawl was made in January and I questioned it with no response back. On 2/15/2019 Summit withdrew the $480.31 payment from the wrong account, the account I was trying to close and they had written direction not to. I immediately called Summit and tried to resolve the issue of them overdrafting my *** account and causing me overdraft fees. I thought the one phone call would resolve situation and have funds reversed, no. After weeks and 13 phone calls and complete run around by their customer service department saying I didnt have the right paperwork (paperwork they sent me) the funds were put back into my *** account minus the $35. overdraft fee. another week went by with phone calls trying to recoup my overdraft fee with no luck just more run around but I agreed for the 3rd time to resend the change of bank paper work.
Now after confirmation from Summit that everything is in order, the March 15th payment was withdrawn out of the wrong bank again. I again called Summit Law firm and had to start from scratch again. finding out every time I call I am actually calling a call center and their is no way to actuallly contact Summit Law Firm. The phone # on Revdex.com website for summit has been disconnected, every person I dealt with leading me to Summit does not return emails or calls. I am again waiting for funds to be reimbursed into ***.

Started a debt consolidation with Summit Law Firm, LLC. Since the contract was signed and processed, my credit rating has gone way down and credit card companies have lowered my credit limit and/or cancelled my credit card DIRECTLY related to doing business with Summit Law Firm. This was not explained in the phone conversation or paperwork provided from them. I am way worse off now than if I ever was to do business with them.

subject: Re: You have a New Message from Revdex.com Regarding Complaint #*** (They took care of a problem so this case is closed ty)

In October I needed help with too much debt. I decided to go with a debt consolidation program and of course I thought I was dealing with a law firm. They went on a recorded line with their instructions and well as had someone come to my home to notarize papers and I thought great, this is going to help me. This so call law firm is a "broiler room" and not a true Law firm. They give you and explanation of waiting six months as they work out deals with credit card companies, but that is a joke. The six month waiting period is to force your good credit into collections, your credit score suffers drastically, then they work out "a deal" to get half what is due. I recently asked for them not to take a payment from my account ,which they allowed people to do--guess what they took it anyway and now my bank account is over $100 overdrawn with fees! I have this bank account for well over ten years and had a bill cross twice which had overdraft fee, but was overturned due to the banks fault and not my own. This so called law firm is a fraud and not only should be investigated by Revdex.com but the States Attorney General

We reached out to client and believe we have resolved the matter to the clients satisfaction

I enrolled into the program Nov 18. I had two withdrawals until unenrolling after about 35 days after realizing I would not be able to get my federal student loans while in the program. I spoke with 3 representatives who stated I would get my full refunded in 10 business days. Well 10 business days turned into about 30 days that caused me another month of late fees for a check of almost nothing. A lot was miss represented with this company and I see why I was told not to use. I even referred 3 other people but I will tell them look else where as this is how they handle business. They didn't do anything in 30 days but took the money quickly and slow to return causing more hardship than the initial problem.

My husband and I signed up with Summit Law firm to help with debt relief. We were advised that if a lawsuit was filed against us we would receive representation as part of our agreement. We did have a lawsuit filed against us. I contacted Summit Law Firm on 10/30/2018 to advise of this. At that time we were advised to email a copy of the Summons to them. The Summons was emailed on 10/29/2018 and 10/30/2018. We received confirmation emails from Summit on 10/30/2018, 11/01/2018, 11/05/2018 and 11/07/2018. These emails advised that they have received the summons and have sent it for in house review and to allow 7-10 business days for them to contact us to with further updates. On December 4th I called Summit as we have not heard anything, at that time I was advised that there were only 2 people in the legal department and that they were backed up. She advised that she will send them a message and they will contact me back. On December 6th I called them again as I still have not heard anything. I explained to the representative that I talked to that I need to know a status of them Summons as the hearing was approaching the next week. I was placed on hold and when the rep came back on the phone she advised that the legal department is back up and that my Summons was not picked up by an attorney. She then advised that they will not be representing me at the hearing and that I would need to go and ask for a continuance. The only explanation that she would give as to why I was not being represented for this was because the legal department was back up. I explained that I just started a new job and that I cannot take off with such short notice and that this was unacceptable as I was never contacted on this. She apologized for my frustration and advised that if I don't attend I will have a judgement against me and again explained that there will be no one there to represent me. She explained several times that the reason why is because they were backed up.

I signed a contract with this company apparently thinking I was signing a contract with ***. *** is the company I talked to about debt relief. I also talked to this law firm thinking they were just a law firm that *** used. Anyway I met with a notary to sign this contract. He had a bunch of papers that I signed on 10/19 /2018. I thought I would receive a copy of the papers. I did not. He assured me I would receive a copy of them within 24 hours. Which I have not received copies that I signed. He also informed me I had 5 days to cancel this contract which ended on 10/26/2018 would be five business days. I gave him a voided check and was told any money they received would be put in an account that I would have to release to them. I never received any contract copies that I signed. How was I suppose to cancel this contract without a copy of these papers. I finally remember the law firm's name. I would like to cancel this contract on the grounds they have never sent me a copy of the contract in a timely manner.I do not want any money from them nor do I want to pay them any money. Please help me. No contract makes me think they are a scam.I read online about ***s and a lot of complaints have been made about this company accusing them of scam tactics.
