I would definitely recommend Empire flooring to my friends and family

We are extremely dissatisfied with the floor we got through empireIt's a dark laminate that they said was practically indestructibleWe barley move a chair and it scratchesThey lied about the quality of this flooringThe product looks nice, but the quality is horribleThe price we paid reflects the quality of floor we thought we would be gettingWe tried to get this resolved with Empire, but they gave us the run aroundIn the end ignoring it

Let me starts from saying my husband and I were first time homebuyers and one of the main reason we chose Empire was because we felt this was a well established company that would guide us better in the process of choosing our new floorThe sales part was seamless (of course) and the installation only took one day for the laminate floor we choseAfter installation, we noticed the floor made a lot of noise when we walked on it and we gave it the benefit of the doubt for a couple of weeks thinking that this was because it was a new floorAfter researching and asking around, we noticed this was an issue that needed to be addressed, so we called Empire and after explaining the situation they suggested for an inspector to check out the floorThey told us an inspector could only do site visit on Thursdays during business hours, for which my husband had to make arrangements at workThey came on March 17th and after calling for almost two weeks for the results, we were told there had to be a second inspection because the first one wasn't done right (?)Then the second inspector came on April 9th and after this inspection, Empire suggested for a THIRD inspector to visit our home (this latter would come on behalf of the manufacturer)Then the third inspection was done on April 19th and this well experienced gentleman said to us that laminate floor should have never been installed in our home, because the base floor was completely uneven and they should've made us aware of thatNow, after almost $6,and two months later, we are left with a crackling floor all over the house where one can't even get up to the bathroom at night without waking up everyone elseNeedless to say, not only the service from Empire has been very undesirable but the professionalism is nowhere to be found in this companyThey have no respect for peoples's time nor moneyPlease shop local and trust your neighborhood small owners, even if they're inexperienced, they cannot be worse than the people at Empire

I was so glad we chose Empire! They made everything easy and convenientThey are affordable and professionalI definitely will be recommending them to friends and family

We had LVP flooring installed, they did a terrible job, took two days, we were horrifiedWe contacted sale rep, he contacted customer serviceA QUALIFIED installer, completely redid the floor with the proper materialsLOOKS BEAUTIFUL!!!

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE! I would never do business with Empire
First of all, the sales woman who came to my house was minutes late This is not very convenient when you have small children and are working around a nap schedule In the time she was at our house, she look personal phone calls She got EXTREMELY pushy at the end and said she could not even give us a quote until I put a deposit down My husband and I were just looking at different companies and prices, so I was not ready to make a commitment She started packing up all of her stuff and becoming very rude, so ultimately I felt obligated and put a small deposit down With doing so, she made me schedule an installation date, but said I could cancel this at any time
Well, the next week I decided to cancel the order and I the salesman I talked to on the phone was somehow able to take another $off our order He encouraged me to talk to my husband about this and reconsider canceling Again, he was very pushy He told me he would hold this quote until the end of July, with no commitment or penaltyI made him promise that nothing was scheduled and again, there would be no commitment
Fast forward a month, I get an email today confirming my installation scheduled at the end of July I called Empire an after minutes on hold, I finally end up talking to someone saying I DO NOT want to reschedule, I just want to cancel - I also asked how this was scheduled because this was not part of the agreement The woman on the phone told me they cannot lock any quote without scheduling an installation date The salesperson I talked to last month completely lied to me
After mins of arguing, this new rep decides to tell me "well since you were never serious about flooring, it looks like we didn't do anything wrong" Then he offered to take off another $
Finally, I was given a cancellation confirmation number This business is absolutely terrible and have terrible customer service ethics I would NEVER recommend using them

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE HORRIBLE COMPANYWe had new carpet and tile installed March By March 2015, a large section of the carpet was falling coming apart and frayedvery unsightly Called within our one year warranty A person came out and inspected and said someone would follow up NOTHING Called again in December (mother was ill from April until August when she passed, so didn't have it in me to follow up within that time frame) Someone came out and said that absolutely it's defective and that someone would follow up NOTHING until we called back to six weeks later in mid-February Was told they would call us in a day or two NOTHING until I called backthen was told there was NOTHING they could do because the warranty was up, even though they clearly saw in the records that we attempted to get this resolved within the warranty time frameI did not complain when the installers came with their dirty hands all over my freshly painted walls, but hell yes, I am complaining now WHAT A SHAM OF A COMPANY YepNEVER will I recommend their crappy products to anyone and will make damn sure the public knows about their antics with customers and running warranties outAND ALLOW ME TO ADD THAT THEY ALSO SCREWED US WITH FINANCING! It was a very underhanded way they got us financed, which now prohibits us from obtaining a home improvement loan

Empire installed carpet for me on 4/I had a number of issues w/the installation Here is specifically what happened & how Empire's staff avoided each issue I realize that Empire hires contractors to complete work locallyThe contractors avoided taking responsibilityI made room in my garage for the installers to work Installer Roberto (cell phone # 512-XXX-3612) and his teammate knocked over my 110-piece socket wrench setI didn't know about this until I went outside to offer them drinks and get the socket wrench set so I could work in the house during the carpet installation Roberto did not apologize for the accident and did not put everything back in placeRoberto simply stated that he knocked over the sockets but could not get all of the sockets w/o moving boxesAccidents happen but Roberto should have apologized He should have told me about the mishap instead of me having to ask about when I was trying to get my own toolsThroughout the installation, Roberto and his teammate kept watching videos on their cell phones The installation took over hours and they installed carpet in two bedrooms, a staircase and two closets They arrived at 1:PM and left around 8:PM Roberto and his teammate scratched my headboard Roberto claimed he did not do it but the scratches were new I called Empire Friday afternoon around 5:to ask for claim assistance but their office was closed already I left a voicemail on their local (866) *** My wife e-mailed damage photos to Empire Sales Rep Mike *** Mike's card indicates he works for ***, LLCMike's # is 512-XXX-Roberto told me he would contact his manager / uncle about the damage and return Saturday to fix it The scratches were minor and only need a wood stain "magic marker" for repair...possibly minor, sanding I called Roberto Saturday and texted him for an ETA He never repliedWhile cleaning 4/9, I found two razor blade cuts in the staircase molding The cuts are deep and require sanding, filling and then painting I forwarded two photos to Mike ***He said that he was out of town for a death in the family and referred me to the Empire local #...(866) ***I continued cleaning Sat & found that one of the master bedroom window screens was removed and placed in the the hallway closet No one from Empire called me on 4/regarding my 4/voice message I called (866) 588-Monday morning to report the damage a second time, to report the new staircase damage and to report that Roberto did not return 4/as promised The rep took my information and told me I would receive a call on 4/ The 4/call would set an appointment for the repairsI reiterated that I needed the headboard fixed, the staircase cuts fixed and added the screen needs to be reinstalledI did not hear from anyone 4/so I called (866) 588-again The next rep told me that the previous rep had been terminated and that my scheduling appointment was incomplete The representative had Billy (866) 588-0131, Ext***, contact me We scheduled an appointment for 4/20, first thing in the morning...the appointment was again for the headboard repairs, staircase repairs and screen re-installation
I never heard from anyone on 4/ I called Billy that afternoon and rescheduled for 4/ I received a call from Letti at 7:AM on 4/to schedule the headboard, staircase molding and screen repairs between AM and AM She said her notes indicated the staircase CARPET had razor damage, not the moldingLetti asked me why I didn't e-mail the damage photos to Empire and I told her that Mike *** was sent the photos on 4/She said she'd have to talk to her manager...the installers may / may not have equipment and paint to fix the moldingArea manager Rex *** called me from (866) 588-0131, Ext He said an installer would call me to confirm appointment and the installer would assess the damage upon arrival I called Rex back at 11:because I had not heard from anyone...I left a message with another operator Letti called me at 11:stating that installer Antonio would be here in minutes I had Letti transfer me to Rex for an explanation of the delayRex claimed that Antonio *** could not contact me ("your line was either busy or out of range") He and Letti said that - was an estimated time of arrival Antonio called me at 11:and said he was on the wayHe installed the screen, varnished the headboard and puttied the molding I called Rex at 12:and scheduled the follrepair for 5/Thus far, the entire experience has been laden with mistakes, missed appointments and incomplete work It has take weeks so far and we're still not finished

HAD A SCHEDULED INSTALLATION FOR LAMINATE AND CARPET IN MY HOMEMADE SEVERAL PHONE CALLS AS INSTRUCTED BY SALES PERSON TO CONFIRM INSTALATIONSDID NOT GET A EMAIL ON THE LAMINATEN INSTALLATION BUT DID GET A PHONE CALL WHEN THE INSALLERS WHERE MIN OUTWE WHERE HAPPY WITH THE LAMINATETHE CARPET WAS A FAIL ON THERE PARTWE HAVE HAD OUR INSTALLATION SCHEDULED FOR WEEKSMADE SEVERAL PHONE CALLS TO THEM AS WELL AS RECIVED A EMAIL ON THE INSTALLATION OF THE CARPETTHE DAY OF THE INSTALLATION AT 8:AM WE RECIVE A PHONE CALL THAT THEY DONT HAVE INSTALLERS IN THE AREA AND NEED TO RESCHEDULEWITH A PARTY AT THE HOUSE THE NEXT DAY WE NEED TO GET THIS FIXEDTHEY WOULD NOT FIND OR SEND A INSTALLER OUT FIX WHERE THE LAMINATE INSTALLER TOOK UP THE CARPET OR EVEN DO THE INSTALL OF THE NEW CARPETI FOUND MY OWN INSTALLER AND THEY REFUSED TO ALLOW ME TO PICK UP MY CARPET AND PAD THAT I HAD PAID FOR IN FULL THE DAY OF THE INHOME VISITAFTER SEVERAL PHONE CALLES WITH THERE SALESMAN AND OFFICE WE MOVED ONWE ASKED FOR A REFUND AND THEY WANTED TO GIVE ME THE RUN AROUND ON WHY I WANTED IT THEY BROKE THERE CONTRACT AND ACTED LIKE IT WAS MY FAULT

In our previous letters we stated how we were unhappy with the flooring we received from Empire Today In April 2014, We were unhappy when Empire told us they would show up at our house to show us different flooring, they were no shows twice In July , I decided to stop paying our bill and did not want any contact with Empire TodayWe stopped payment on the account because we were upset with Empire TodayThey had not given us the quality of product that they said we were receivingWe were contacted throughout the Fall by *** *** about why we were not paying on the accountOn a Saturday morning we were contacted and spoke with the representative from *** *** and explained to her the situationIn January 2015, I was then contacted by Empire about a day and time a sales representative could being us samples of ceramic tile to replace the originally installed LVT flooringI made sure that they knew if the sales associate did not show up this time again we were done dealing with Empire

I have been in discussion with Empire TodayMy issue has been with the carpet that was not installed properly in January Our home is six years old, the sales rep convinced us that Empire Today's carpet was better than that installed by the buildersWe were definitely, taken advantage of
Buyer Beware!

We have been doing home improvements for months now, Windows, Garage Door, Front Porch, exterior paint, interior paint and they have all been a complete nightmare from beginning to end!! But Empire today was amazingFrom beginning to end the experience was painless and BeautifulI will use Empire Today in the future for more flooring in our home we will be needingThey are the ONLY Contractor we have used that I will call back for more!!

Everything went very smoothly with them The sales guy showed up right on time, was very informative and brought everything that I asked The installation had some minor problems since neither myself or my wife were home, it was our nanny, they had to call me multiple times to make sure they could start the work, but besides that everything went smoothly and the carpet was installed and looks great!

First of all, the instillation was scheduled for 7/I set it up in person with the sales personThey called on 7/to confirm while I was on vacationI did not call back until early a.m7/But they gave my appointment awayWhich I understood, as I had not called back soon enoughWe rescheduled for 7/With a horrible ridiculous window of a.m to p.mBy 1:PM I had not heard anythingSo I called Empire, and they reassured me that the installation was still on schedule for that daySoon after that I received a phone call from the installerHe said he would be at my house between and o'clock and 4:PMAt 5:PM the installer showed upIt was raining outside so he looked at my driveway and said "how am I going to cut the carpet if it's wet?" I said I don't know, that is not my expertiseHe came in the house and he looked at the carpeting area that was to be replaced and he quickly came to the conclusion that the sales person had measured my carpet incorrectlyHe stated that he did not have the right size carpet in his vehicleHe told me he would call me back the next day and we would either get it installed that Saturday or SundayHe did not call me back the next dayOn Sunday I called Empire and they told me the installation had already been rescheduled for the following Thursday7/I told them I had an appointment and that they would not workI asked if they could do it that Friday morning and guarantee that they come that Friday morningThey told me they could not guarantee a morning installation So I canceled my plans for Thursday, July 28, and I went ahead with the Thursday installationThey did offer me $off for my frustrationSo Thursday comes, and I miss going to the lake with my childrenI stay home to wait on the carpet installersBy 12:pm I had not heard anything so I called Empire They told me I was on the schedule and they should be to my house that afternoonBy I had heard nothingSo I called Empire againThey told me the installer had gotten hung up on the previous job and would not be out there to see me that dayThey told me they can guarantee that he would arrive early Friday morningI told them that is originally what I tried to schedule and I was told that was not possibleI told them I would continue with the project if they could further offer me a discount for the inconvenience and frustrationThey offered me an additional $off, but I told them I was so frustrated at this point I would just have to cancelSo I have no carpetI am not pleased with the customer service offered by empireI would not recommend this company to anyone

I was extremely satisfied with the quality of the products, the professionalism of the installers and the overall experience with Empire Today

Made appointment online for Mrsthey came to house tried many high pressure sales techniques to make her buy today...never gave proposal said could take picture of *** price but could not send proposal or give written quote ...weird right ...and if she didnt buy today that would change ...sales person still wouldn't leave Mrs said can I come to your location and get written proposal ...he than said they don't have an office to go to it doesn't work that wayOk does this guy work for empire and who is in the house...probabaly a sub ...for next days after appointment harassing phone calls times a day on voice mail...last night when they called I was home and when they called she handed me phone ...I told the representative we were not going to use them and please don't call again...Jason argued with me wanted to know why and I said again please dont call again
this went on for -times ...I said please stop this is not good...he than told me he would keep calling til he talked to her than hung up...Seriously geez...Hey we just wanted to get some pricing for flooring not stalked ...have the good manors and professionalism to say thanks for having us out please call again...trust is how people choose contractors from start to finish ...if they offered to do work for free we wouldn't let them in the house No credibilityI don't know consumer rights but I do know right from wrong and this company is wrong

I have had several great experiences with Empire Today They have done my entire house over the years All our flooring (carpet, tile and laminate) have been done my them I love being able to look at all the samples in my own home I always been shown the utmost courtesy and respect and all the reps have been extremely knowledgeable The work is always professional and exceeds my expectations I would recommend this company to everyone

After I cancelled my order with them, they cashed my check a WEEK after a asked them to send the voided check to me NEVER send these people anything!

We scheduled our carpet over a month agoWe called to confirm the installWe never received a call from themThe day of the install it was rainingThe installer explained that he would need people to bring the carpet in there is only of them why didn't you bring the people neededThen he stated they could not do the install because of the weatherWe were not told that at all! We took off workMoved furniture around per the agreement and now they cannot do itI think that if I am paying to get my whole house completed and have done my part in the process I should have been at least given a call to say hey we don't do carpet in the rain so I could have been prepared! Like go to work! I think that this is a big reputable company and customer service is awfulThe representative got nasty when we called and acted as if we were the problem stated we needed to reschedule and that is all no discount no sorry no nothingWe then speaks with someone else and they had the same attitudeWe are the problem?

Very easy to deal withFast service arranging appointment..in home salesman the next day & installation the day after thatEveryone I encountered was polite, professional & promptVery pleased with the whole experience
