I want to the share the great experience my husband and I had dealing with Empire TodayScheduling a consultation online was quick and simpleOur customer service rep, Jake, was prompt and informativeHe answered all my questions and gave helpful suggestions while I was making a carpet choiceI DID NOT feel pressured or rushedJake explained the installation process and warrantiesI did make a purchase and we scheduled an installation date at that timeMy carpet was installed today by Romero and Luis and I am absolutely thrilled at the resultThey were friendly and hard working! They cleaned everything and left my house spotlessI will be happy to recommend Empire after this great experience!!!

I had an appointment for a carpet measuring this past SaturdayNo one ever showed up or contacted me to say they would not be able to comeThat would have been excusableI found it extremely unprofessional to not show up or contact meWhen I was contacted on Monday for a reschedule, the woman was not apologetic in the slightestShe seemed annoyed that I was angry that my time was wastedI would not work with them again as they are clearly unreliable

Sales rep was greatProduct was greatInstallation was great

Miki [redacted] Empire is a wonderfully professional company they showed up on time wonderful quote accurate quote and wonderful installation with a great quality carpet and warranty

We recently needed carpet for my townhouse (we were getting ready to sell it and wanted to make it look good for buyers)I wanted something that wasEmpire Today had a lot of great options for carpet that looked good and were not too expensive since we were going to be selling I had looked into pricing at Home Depot and Lowes before I talked to Empire, so I know that Empire had a really fair price What I really liked about Empire was that they took care of all of the details for meBoth my husband and I work full-time (I'm a teacher and he's a police officer), so it was nice to have someone come to the house and measure at the same time we picked out the carpetAnd, they scheduled our installation at the same time The installers showed up on-time, and they were very politeThey worked non-stop for a few hours until the job was doneAfter they finished (they even had to move around all of my furniture and put it back!) they walked through the rooms to make sure everything was just rightWe couldn't believe how different the rooms looked We were very pleased with the carpet and installationYou never know what you're going to get when you have contractors come to you homeWe were VERY HAPPY with Empire Today! I would (and have) recommend them to family and friendsWe will even use Empire when the carpet in our new home needs replacing, too!

I recently had my entire home carpeted using Empire Today The entire process was positive and their price beat The Home Depot by several thousand dollars Would recommend them for carpeting needs

ABSOLUTELY THE WORST COMPANY EVER TO WORK WITHMy carpet only installed for less than months started unraveling and so did my experience with this companyQuick to take your money but weeks later and over calls to get it repaied today was the last strawAfter wrong appointment times, NO SHOWS x 2, they CALLED at 7:am as a "COURTESY" reminder (WTHECK) and then showed up 8:( not suppose to be her until am on a SATURDAY ) WITHOUT the equipment they need to even start the repair!!!!!!!!! OMGooodness, I can't even express the LACK of responsibility and integrity this company has ..SAVE YOURSELF TIME AND HASSELL --DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT USE EMPIRE

Not installed when scheduled, Poor installation, Damage to walls, baseboards, and furniture After reporting damage and sending photos, we received phone calls asking us to schedule someone to do estimate for repairsBecause of work restraints we requested they send someone - that was a week ago and no one has bothered to call us backThe installation job is so poor, the carpet is cut too short in some areas, they put a seam in the middle of the floor - besides looking horrible it will only get worse with wearThe installers damaged walls, baseboards, and furniture If this is the kind of workmanship that Empire promotes consumers should be fully aware of their lack of professionalism to follow up with dissatisfied customers

Great company to work withSales and installation employees stayed professional from start to finishMy floors look amazing!

I had hardwood engineered floors installed less than a year ago by Empire TodayI will never use that company again and will urge anyone that is in the market for new floors to not even consider themI was told the floors I selected have a year warranty against fading and within months of having them installed, they fadedand stared to discolorI was also told that the new Empire floors would withstand anything my previous floors would, and moreThis is not the caseIf I drop a fork on my floors, they chip and scratchThey will not stand by their product and accused me of not using the correct cleaner, and that I allow too much sunlight in my homeI posted a complaint on their [redacted] page and they said they will do whatever they can to fix the situationThey hired a company to inspect the floors and it was determined that it wasn't an installation issue (I never said it was) nor is it a manufacturer issueInstead, they say it's an on site issue due to soil in the grain, therefore causing discolorationBut wouldn't that be a manufacturer issue? There's a year warranty on the productIs that if you don't walk on it and get it dirty? IT'S A FLOOR!!! I hate these floors and am miserable every time I enter my homeThey look terribleHere I thought I was getting a value by taking advantage of their 50/saleIt's not a value if I just wasted my money to get floors I hateI'm embarrassed and extremely disappointedIt's disgusting how they can get away with this

We ordered carpet to be installed in two rooms, hallway and stairs on 1/2/in Las VegasWe just bought a house and are redoing all the flooringThe person who took the measurements had called to check to see if the carpet that we choose was in stockHe even said that we could get the carpet installed in a few daysWe didn't want the carpet installed right away as we were doing the rest of the house ourselves, so we scheduled it out for 01/23/Everything seems great and we received a confirmation phone call on 01/21/about our carpet installThen today 01/22/at about 4:50PM Empire decided to call us and tell us that our carpet is in Los AngelesWe are supposed to move in a few days and now we are lost on what to doWe now have to delay our move which is going to cost us more moneyThanks Empire for the waste of time as well as now having to find a new company/new carpet/ to deal withAnd also for waiting the last second to call us and tell us this newsWe were even recommended to you by familyNever trusting again

The installers get to my home and the ceramic installers advise that they are unable to place the tiles on a 45 degree angle. Their rational is that it will not look proper because it's not something they do. After an hour of back and forth with them and their supervisor I told them that this is how we agreed to have them installed and to finally place them on a 45 degree angle. An hour wasted but finally the job was done and the tile looks good, but why were we on the phone with a supervisor who is not at the job site for over an hour debating whether or not it should be done the way the sales representative promised us it would be done? Or better yet for what we paid for? On the same day the LVP flooring installers arrive at my home and quickly advise that they have materials for 3 bedrooms not 4. So we spend approximately 30 minutes arguing back and forth on how they are supposed to complete 4 bedrooms not just 3. They even showed me a contract that Bill completed that only showed 3 bedrooms and not the 4th. Finally they agree on the fourth bedroom. However, our installation was supposed to be on a 45 degree which is what we paid for and agreed on. The installer [redacted] advises that there is no way that it could be completed in that angle due to all the cutting. That the floor will lose stability through time. What do we do? We have set out our Saturday for this, we are already on our third disappointment with this company, we are really excited about installing our new floors and now this....Since [redacted] said that it could not be completed correctly in such manner then we were forced to have it installed the conventional way. Finally at approximately 10:30PM they finish the job according to [redacted] I ask what happen to the doorway? He says that the transitions were not provided and to call Empire Today so that they can order them for me. That he would have to return to install them. What a disappointment! I call Empire Today that following Monday and go through the trouble of explaining this to them, I have spoken to Sarah, Joy, E [redacted] (Manager), C [redacted] (Manager), Andrea, C [redacted] (Manager), J [redacted] (Manager), Y [redacted] (Manager), R [redacted] (Manager) and lastly J [redacted] (Install Manager [redacted] Supervisor). I have gotten the run around for almost TWO WEEKS on who will responsible for ordering 5 transitions and when they will be installed in my home. Obviously this company is top heavy and no one takes the initiative to make the job right. Today 10/15/15 I receive a phone call from J [redacted] who advises that the installation can be completed on a 45 degree angle how we wanted it done the first time. That he can arrange that they return to my home and install it correctly. Why wasn't this done in the first place? I advised that after speaking with my husband we no longer have the confidence in Empire Today that they will do the job correctly. We have lost all confidence and respect for this company and they should be ashamed to advertise themselves as flooring experts. It is still two weeks and my floor is not complete. The job was done on October 3rd and it is October 15th and the job is still incomplete. My family DOES NOT RECOMMEND Empire Today to anyone. Think about it before you pay double for your floors which we did. Oh and by the way Bill [redacted] the Sales Rep who originally went to my home has not called or made himself available to correct the issue he started. I have called him since October 3rd and he has not received my calls and/or returned my calls. What type of customer service is this?

San Diego Empire took advantage of a military family who had limited knowledge in flooring
We wanted to purchase flooring for two rooms The salesman took measurements of the rooms and gave us a contract for the rooms, but did not provide us with the measurements he took nor did we know we needed to ask for them The installers showed up and measured the rooms before starting their work and noticed the rooms were several feet short from what the sales rep wrote down Apparently, we only paid for 80% of each room so that is what we got While my contract says "living room" the installer was provided with dimensions that would only allow for 80% of the living room to be completed After over a month, we have given up and will have to figure out what to do with our partially completed rooms
I don't believe it is logical that people would purchase 80% of new flooring for a room This was obviously done to take advantage of the customer
The national call center is great and very reasonable The San Diego branch is cruel In trying to ask questions and resolve the manner I have been yelled at, sworn at, hung up on, and insulted You shouldn't treat people this way, especially after you have taken advantage of them

The experience with Empire Today had not been good at allFor our first date of install, the installer didn't show upIt was rescheduledOn the rescheduled date, the installers showed up, payment was required before the job startedBut, after starting the job, they could not complete the job due to not having the correct materialSo, they rescheduled once againThey showed up for mins and then figured that they didn't have enough materialSo, they rescheduled againI spoke with the manager and he gave me his word that he would have someone here on the scheduled date with all of the materials necessary to complete the jobThe date came, and no one showed upSo, once again, it has been rescheduledThey have been paid for a job, and getting them to complete that job has been like pulling teethI definitely would not recommend this company to anyone

I requested an estimate on Monday, Jan19th, between the hours of 11-1pmI received a call at 1:13pm that monday telling me that they were not able to come that day and asked if I could rescheduleI tried to be flexible even though I had waited in the house all day that day on my day off just for themI re-scheduled for that Saturday, Jan 24th between the hours of 9-although I had something to do that morningEmpire called me about 10:to tell me that they could no longer come because the one person they had to do estimates had an emergencyI was inconvienced by this company twice with no remorseI would not recommend this company to anyone because of their poor business etiquette and lack of customer service skillsI could only imagine what would happen once I gave them my money

The dealings with Empire today was a good experience for usWe were in the market for doing laminate floor covering in our family roomI had done my research with both locals and *** ***Just the fact that I could have a professionally laid and have good quality flooring was enough to have Empire today do my flooringThe salesman new his products and was very good explaining why their service would be better than for me trying to do it myselfThe little extra cost was certainly worth having it done, and having finished the next day was exceptional

treated me better than I had expectedshowed up on time great product/ priceinstaller called to let me know he was on the way, showed up, did the work promptly and cleaned up nicelyvery professionalalso have great products and prices

We contacted Empire Today to schedule an in-home estimate for our Condominium which we retain as a rental propertyWe were schedule for an in-home estimate on Saturday, August from 2-4pmAt 4pm, no one showed, so we called customer serviceThey reached out to the sales rep who then finally called us back minutes laterHe said that Empire overbooked him and we would have to wait another 2-hoursAs this is unreasonable, we rescheduled to Monday at 6:30pmOn Monday, we received a call from a different sales rep who thought he was meeting with usWhen we explained that the other rep already had us scheduled, this rep became irritated and rude on the phone essentially hanging up on usWe called Empire Today customer service, spoke with a manager and was promised a $refund should we go with themWe finally meet with the sales rep on Monday, 8/for almost hoursHe places his samples on our half-way and scratches it up, uses language that is rude and is sexist toward my wife (says her job is to collect all the paperwork)When asked about the $credit, he said he is unable to give it to usCall to Empire Customer Service manager again...Carpet is scheduled and installed on Tuesday, 8/with our kitchen floor scheduled for 8/I get a call at 9am on 8/telling me the installers can't come today and we need to reschedule to tomorrowI am speechless...we were again promised something that is not being honoredWe make special arrangements to be there for our promised install time and Empire has no regard or respect for itI expect that Empire Today will make the right decisions to resolve these issues and provide additional compensation if there is any chance for recoveryI will be sure to share my experiences in all means necessary in hopes that others can learn from them

This company Falsely doubles their prices so they can then claim they are giving people at 50% discount on the priceDon't trust a company that has to trick people into getting business Always get three estimates and don't believe this company and their phony math

We appreciate the customer contacting us regarding their concernsWe did not remove the doors; as such we are unable to install the doors for the customerFor customer satisfaction we offered a
discount so the customer could have a contractor install the doors
