I needed three blinds installedAfter several phone calls and one missed appointment on their part, the salesman finally came to get the orderAn installer came to take measurementsAnd then once the blinds were in, it took me several times to get a hold of someone (I left messages, but no one ever called me back)I made several appointments, all of which were either cancelled or just forgottenAfter finally getting someone here, ALL three blinds were wrong – wrong colors, wrong measurementsOf course, they made me pay the full amount before the installation, so while I’ve been told I will get the correct blinds, there’s no guarantee that will happen because they have their money, so where’s the motivation? We had used Empire in the past and had no problems – I had always recommended themBut after this complete disaster, I will never use them again and I implore you to stay away from them as well

I had floors put down in my whole house with Empiretold me that they would tack up all the old flooring and put screws to stop the floors from squeaking but it would be a added costOK, they came in to put the floors down, I come home start looking over what they have done, I asked did you put screws down NOWhy not I paid for you to do that got no answer for him or is manger, Then I see that the floor in the Kitchen is higher than the living roomI ask did you pull up the floors in the kitchen NOTwo mouths of calling, taking to God knows how many people and lying salesman that came down two different timesWant get it to thatThought I had it fixed just to have the guys they sent down to fix all of this to tell me that they would not do it and left, really come on so I call and asked if you want fix it than just give me the coast of the floor not coming up and not butting the screwsThey told me they would not be able to do that either, WTFAnd now some of the laminate flooring in the kitchen is buckling so now I will have to see if I can get that fixed or if I am SOL

The salesman for Empire was fine, but the installers the day of installation - at 3PM on a Friday - called and said they couldn't get to our house for another hour and that the installation would take or hours This was a little surprising The tone in the guy's voice said its Friday and I have no desire to install your carpet at 4PM So I told the installer that 4PM was fine He did not sound pleased with my answerHe showed up at 3:10PM (not an hour later) and pulled up a corner on the carpet and said, "Looks like you have asbestos You need to have it inspected." It was odd because we had carpet installed a couple of times and they never said anything He abruptly left at 3:20PM I called the asbestos person and she said removing carpet and installing new carpet does not require an inspection So I cancelled Empire today and went with another company, MAC Flooring in [redacted] that hires contractors, with integrity, to install their carpet Do not waste your time with this company MAC Flooring also came in cheaper!! Also, I contacted the salesman and he has yet to get back to me

Empire Today installed vinyl in my kitchen It was a very professional job They were very courteous and worked through for hours My floor is perfect

Just installed my floors with Empire Today LLC, and feeling royally "taken advantage of." Agreed to finance $and put down $When we looked at our bank account Wednesday evening, all $was taken out of my checking account leaving Sara and I with zero balanceAfter a call they said oops our mistake, we'll respond to your service request in 7-business daysMeanwhile I'm going negative in my bank account, due to pre-scheduled payments, and after days of asking them to act faster than 7-business days, in fact act immediately, we have no resolution on a 3day weekendI have four children to feed along with two being medically fragileVery difficult to get groceries with a negative balanceAdd to the statement that we will receive a courtesy call after hours, there has been no call placed to meA complete lack integrity by everyone in first and second line customer serviceI've learned so much about this company in three days to advise all of you to NOT use them Since emailing the EVPO, CEO and CFO, I have received my initial first courtesy call from the EVP of Operations His statements is that he'll work to return my money ASAP Resolution anticipated

I am disappointed in the service that empire has given us from July 21st through now (August 4th)And our product is not even installed yet We ordered new flooring on 7/21/that was to be in installed on 7/28/This was confirmed by the company 7/27/through phone and email confirmationWe put everything from our basement into the spare bedroom and that room is completely inaccessibleThe morning on 7/28/Empire called saying they could not install as there were not enough install teams that day and we were rescheduled for Friday, 7/31/On Thursday 7/30/we received a call from Empire thinking it was a confirmation but instead they stated that they were out of stock of the flooring we orderedThey reschedule again for 8/5/There was never a refund offered but after my husband asked for compensation Empire gave $after the first change and $(we have yet to see) after the second changeEmpire called on 8/4/again rescheduling (not confirming) the appointment due to being out of stock for NOW 8/12/This is weeks after we placed out order, two weeks and a day after the original install dateThis will be ALMOST weeks of having no access to the items we thought we would be without for a week I called customer service on 8/4/finally being frustratedNot understanding how Empire could be out of sock on an item that should have been ready to be installed on 7/(our first appointment) and why is it out of stock nowI also had to share my frustrations with this companyShe offered the solution of another flooring option to be installed sooner if that would helpWe were between floors anyways so I said sureAfter being put on hold and she called the local office, I found out that Empire were never out of stock of our item (though Empire told my husband Empire were out of stock for the last cancelations and then they said Empire had some but it was being saved for cooperate offices right now) said that the issue is the lack of installers in this area and not the productI was frustrated and she would only say she is sorry and understands what I am feelingShe "Guaranteed" that we were a priority on the 12th (through that is exactly what we were told by customer services representatives for the 7/and 8/appointments) I do not appreciate being lied to or being deceivedI am someone who is understanding and had they said Empire is having trouble getting installers, I would have been more compassionate, but being told it is out of stock and when cooperate tries to SOMEWHAT help by offering a solution to get it sooner, I find that it cannot even be an option because out of stock was never the issue according to the home office, it is installers in the area makes me upset and lose my trust and faith in the companyI ended up leaving the conversation because I was becoming physically upset and emotional over this We keep following what we needed to do - clear the room, have access from the door to the basement everything off the wallsBut when do we get to have a fair and honest transactionThis is just another week of not having access to the basement living space, another week that we have to reschedule friends and family to help move and assemble furniture again, another week of not having access to times that were moved to the back of the room (graduate school text books, games to play at night, school materials for back to school) and a week later to get the rooms back in order and organized I feel that there is no concern for my day to day function of livingI just keep getting I am sorryWe are constantly as the mercy of Empire right now Because we NEED the flooring in, whatever day is soonest we have made available for usThis means canceling plans, adjusting meetings, losing hourly pay hours ( I work a summer job and have had to request no extra hours to accommodate the MULTIPLE changes in schedules), and then Empire to not show and we look

Carpet Installation After reading so many bad reviews in a row it leads me to believe that enough people dont leave positive reviews anymore. My experience was easy, fast, and impressive to say the least. Our salesman (Howard) did not try to scam us in anyway and was really very humble to be honest. Our interests and concerns were met by his best intentions and overall we decided to go with Empire. We had a competing quote with Home Depot hat was a bit lower than what empire offered, but the team at empire was not only able to match the quote but give us the best quality carpet to go with it. In regards to the installation... I am equally impressed. I did not catch both names, (I think 1 was Javier). But both of these gentleman were not only quick, but the work looks amazing, and they left the place cleaner than it was when they came in. When I say quick , I mean they did 3 rooms or padding, carpet, and tacking with doorway tack in like 2 hours. I would recommend this company to anyone.

We purchased carpeting for our living room and hallThe salesman was professional and helpful in choosing the appropriate carpetIt looks wonderful, is so comfortable we love itThe only disappointing part of the experience was in the poor professionalism of one of the installers that hade very frustrated when they leftI don't like having people tell me how to clean my home when it is a mess to make room for carpet installation

I have a rental I told empire how important the carpet got installed on a specific date - no problem I emphasized this over and over because we had a tenant moving in; this is our business The only reason I chose them is because they promised a specific date Gave them weeks lead time Today, day of install; they cannot find our order, have no install date, lost our order but sure enough took my $deposit Spoke with customer service and the girl was laughing in the background as I became more and more upset They have cost me time and money because my tenant cannot move in with the current carpet situation They have lost not only my business, but my entire families business now and in the future

We are extremely pleased with the quality of our new carpet as well as the installation The price seemed fair as well

Dear Empire, I have never dealt with a company that provides such poor customer serviceMy install date was February 11thThe product didn't arrive on the truck and nobody called to tell me that they wouldn't be showing up that dayAfter several phone calls and SEVERAL - several being minutes (just to transfer me to the W Sac office), I was able to reach someone, Jacob in the WSac office, who advised that my product didn't arrive on the truck that dayThis was about an hour and a half after I spoke with my sales rep, Dan [redacted] , who advised that my product was on the truck, the truck was just running lateOn February 13th, the contractor, Brian, and his crew arrivedBrian assured me that everything would be done that day except for the stairs, because the stair parts didn't show upAt the end of the day, the floors were down for 50% of my houseThere were no baseboards and they advised they would be back the next day to finish upThe next day, which was Valentine's day, I spent the day waiting for them to finishI must say, the contractors did beautiful work, however, nobody at Empire kept in touch with meOne person called to tell me the contractors would be arriving shortly, but that was after they had already been there for an hourBrian said my stairs would be arriving TuesdayTuesday came, we're now on the 16th, and nobody called, nobody showedI spoke with Donna, also in the WSac office and she advised that the product would be arriving Saturday and they would be out thenI had to work Saturday so she scheduled the stairs to be installed on Tuesday the 23rdOn the 23rd, nobody called, nobody arrivedI waited until to call Donna and I ended up leaving a message on her voicemailThe installer arrived about minutes laterHe cut inches off of each of my stairsThis was never asked or explained to meMy stair case now has very small stepsAgain, the installer did a great job and the stairs look beautiful, but now have very small stepsWhen I spoke with Donna, she apologized for any inconvience and advised that they would be taking a portion off of my billMy sales person never kept in touch with me during the entire processThree times Empire did not arrive on time or call prior to showing upIt is now February 24th, almost full weeks after the install was supposed to be complete and it is finally doneI was charged the full amount for the job, still haven't had any follow up to confirm I am a satisfied customerI will NEVER recommend Empire to AnyoneI can't believe such a large company provides such poor customer serviceThis was the worst customer service I have ever receivedAt one point one of the employees read me the notes in my file and said "the notes say that she didn't call you because she had too many other people to call"Let me tell you this, I don't know why my 8,dollars isn't important to your company but for calling yourself EMPIRE TODAY, you are providing advertisement

I am so utterly disappointed with the customer service that Empire [redacted] provides (or more accurately, does NOT provide)A little over a year ago, Empire installed carpeting in a condo that I own which is tenant occupiedMy tenants were professionals and kept my condo in impeccable shape at all timesWhen they left, I noticed that the carpet that had been installed less than a year and a half prior was buckling in several placesI called my sales rep and he passed me on to the number for customer serviceWhen I spoke with them, I was told that it was out of warranty and they wouldn't do anything about itI asked for a higher lever rep, (on several occasions) none were ever availableOn two different occasions, I was told that my concern would be escalated to "the office of the president" and was promised a call from that department within hoursEach time, they failed to callI called customer service 4-more times to attempt a resolutionEach time I was transferred multiple times, then placed on hold for 12-minutes each time only to be "accidentally" disconnected EACH timeI was very frustratedWhen carpets buckle after such a short time, there is clearly a problem with installation and/ or qualityI am feeling like their customer service policy after installation and payment is to ignore the problem until it goes awayI am not thrilled that I need to turn to such a public forum to express my concerns, however, I find that I have no other choiceI will never use Empire again and will certainly share my terrible experience with anyone looking to purchase new carpetsEmpire is very happy to call you back to schedule an installation, but after that, they are the epitome of poor business practice

I contacted Empire to get a quote for a replacement installation in a small bathroom We were very pleased with the sales rep who showed us numerous samples and gave us, what I feel was a good price The installer came on time, was knowledgeable and friendly The installation was done on time and with no issues at all Overall, at this point, I am quite pleased

Just called empire today about the issues I have with my carpet that was installed a little over a year ago I wish I would have read the reviews and complaints before I decided to go with empire today by talking to the representative it sounds like it will cost more money on top of the thousands I am paying for this carpet to be fixed having had carpet before and the only issue I had was it wore down after years compared to having the carpet coming up and wearing down after only a year! pleas stay away you may have better work ethic and products with home depot or a smaller company who takes their customers interest to heart! I feel like I will be filing a complaint after I see this inspector

I had my sales appointment on Saturday and floors were complete by the following ThursdayInstallers were polite, knowledgeable and were able to meet and exceed my expectationsIt took two installers because I sent the first group awayI am glad I was insistent because the job turned out far better than the first crew could have done The price was not the lowest, but if you want fast service done rigwill cost moreHighly satisfied!

Representative was timely and easy to talk toWe found Empire to be higher priced but gave them a tryI don't like the trim with the laminateIt looks unfinishedThe installers did not speak English so we could not communicate at allCouldn't discuss any concernsTheir tools were not cutting right so they used some of our toolsFlooring is not very scratch proof

Excellent customer service from start to completion of installationSales representative was knowledgeable about the product and did not pressure for a sale The installation team was professional & did a wonderful job I love my new floor and I'm very glad that I chose Empire
