[redacted] approached you because of miss communication of our technician and [redacted] on our financing product.  I [redacted] representing 72 degrees got involved and came to a resolution with [redacted] to make him happy.  We have come to a conclusion on the financing for...

[redacted].  The conclusion will be a new financing product that will allow [redacted] no payments until 1/10/15 which he can find a finance company that will meet his needs.  We will also refund him $500.00 and check why his electric bill was a little higher.  [redacted] signed off on this statement and is 100% happy.  ?

Freddy was courteous,he knew what he was doing and explained what needed to be done and what the cost would be,fixed the problem in a timely manner, and our home is cool once again..Thank You
I would recommend this company to my friends

I was really please with the service I received recently from Patrick Riley Cooling, Heating, and Plumbing. I am selling my home and needed to have my AC checked out due to the inspector seeing some light rust in the drain pan.

Michael C was exceptionally thorough with checking out the problem and resolving it, and was courteous enough to explain everything to me in layman's terms.

Thank you Mike!

I scheduled 3 of my air conditioners to have a PMC and cleaning. Freddy was the assigned technician. He was on time, professional and took the time to thoroughly explain the condition of my units and potential issues down the road. He was very knowledgeable and a great representative for the company. I would definitely conduct business with them again.

I think Patrick Riley gives very professional service. Their service rep was courteous and efficient.

The entire process with Patrick Riley was amazing. In AZ, when you AC goes out in summer it can be a very big deal. I had two services prior from Parker and Sons. The first Parker and Sons guy misdiagnosed and sold me on a service that did not help the problem. The second guys came out and quoted me more than 2 times the market rate. Patrick Riley provided the right service at market rate and the service professional Freddy P[redacted] went above and beyond to provide the service and educate me along the way. I can’t speak more highly of Freddy and as long as he is in the business he will be my new AC guy. Thanks Freddy and Patrick Riley for fairly helping our family through this AZ/AC crisis.

This company has done hand stands to make their service and sales commitments right. Kudos to Owner Pat R[redacted] in honoring all aspects of previous commitments and to Senior Tech Chiris Palacios for his "above and beyond" service and technical work in making my system top notch. His professionalism in representation of the 72 Degrees organization and respect for my home was outstanding. I would recommend their work to anyone.

Patrick Riley cooling, heating, and plumbing has provided me with excelent service. Their representatives always show up on time. They are always friendly and professional in their manner. They always clean up after themselves when needed. In general they always leave me with a good impression.

Professional, great service. Blower motor failed late Saturday afternoon. It took a trip across the valley by the serviceman to get a new motor to complete repairs. This company did not install my unit and I was a new customer. Prevented us from staying in a motel for the remainder of the weekend.

Very thorough and professional. Chris P. did an outstanding job.

I have used this firm for over 8 years to perform HVAC maintenance on my System and they have always provided timely, quality support at a fair price. I had to replace my system and they installed a Carrier Infinity gas furnace with 18 seer AC system. The staff was professional and did excellent work getting the job done right at a fair price.

Review: The company came out and claimed to have fixed our problem with my air conditioner. They stated that the fan motor was "SEIZED" and they replaced the starter. I called the office to find out more information, because I knew from inspecting the unit, the fan motor was not seized and was working. The office then told me they would have the technician ([redacted]) call me and he did. I asked him what he repaired and he told me that he replaced the fan motor and the starter. I asked why and he said that the motor was seized. I told him that was not true because I inspected it before he checked it out. The fan was functional and I am wondering why he is saying (and wrote on the service ticket) that it was seized. He did not have a good answer for it and began back pedaling. I then asked what was wrong with the starter. He said that he replaced it so that my unit would last longer. I asked him why he would replace something that is not broken? He claimed that this would help the unit to last longer and he felt the other starter was "weak".

The technician was at my house for 1 to 2 hours put in a new fan to replace a fan (that was not seized) and replaced a starter that was not broke. This service cost me $883.83 and they provided no breakdown of parts verse labor. The technician didn't really care about my issues, wanted me off the phone and told me to call the office (which I already did and they had the tech call me).

I then called another company.Desired Settlement: A refund would be appropriate.

Review: I recently purchased a home that has a 16 seer Goodman split system gas horizontal that was installed in May 20012. Immediately after moving in, I noticed that the a/c did not cool the home to my desired temperature of 75 degrees. When I went into the attic to see what the problem may be, I noticed that the plenum was half the size of the unit and was that makes it really inefficient. I called 72 Degrees and they sent someone to verify what I was saying. The person they sent out agreed that the plenum was way too small and they replaced it. When they were done, I tried the a/c out for another week to see if it helped with the cooling of the home, but still, my unit will not drop below 78 degrees and if I have it set at 78 degrees it won't shut off. So, I called them to say that when the thermostat is set at 79, it will work properly, but when you try to drop the temperature, it will consistently run. They sent the same guy out to check the system and he determined that the system was running great with a 23 degree split. My complain was not the temperature split, it is that the system won't go below 79 without consistently running all day, which totally defeats the purpose of a 16 seer system because my bills keep getting more and more expensive. My thoughts are that if the system is running as great as they say it is, then it is obviously undersized and would require a supervisor to go out and determine if this is true.

I then tried to call them about retrieving paperwork from the original sale so that I can verify that a proper Manual J Heat Load was taken to verify what size system was meant for the home and also to get supervisor to call me about the issues that i'm experiencing. I was told that this paperwork would have to be pulled and that i'd receive a call as soon as it is done. I waited 4 days until I called back and when I did, the woman on the phone said that she'd pull the paperwork right then and email it to me. I have yet to receive that email and that was two days ago. I called today and asked to speak with someone that deals with installations and installation paperwork and I was sent to voicemail.Desired Settlement: I would like a copy of all paperwork, including the sales proposal and manual j heat load. If a manual J heat load was not done on the home, i'd like one done as soon as possible as my system is constantly running just so I can get a minimum amount of cooling. I would also like a phone call from a manger regarding all of this. I don't like getting the run around and that's what I feel is happening here, as no one is trying to find the source of the problem.

Response:

The AC equipment in question was not sold or installed when [redacted] owned the home. The original homeowner chose not to pay for additional upgrades on the installation of there new AC system. The plenums were one of those items in question. Regarding [redacted] obtaining the original sales contract, and Manual J load calculation. That is the property of the original homeowner, he would need to gather that from the original homeowner that he purchased the home from.

After [redacted] purchased the home he contacted us regarding the performance of the AC system.

I immediately sent out my lead technician [redacted] to perform a 31 point inspection. He found that the Plenums could be larger. In the spirit of exceptional customer service I decided to replace the plenums at no cost for [redacted].

We installed the plenums and My technician found the system to be cooling the house to 77 degrees. The AC equipment was operating within the manufacturer's specifications.

A few days later [redacted] called stating the home was not cooling and could not get below 79 degrees. I again, immediately sent out my technician at no cost. My technician found that the unit was operating efficiently and the home was at 77 degrees. The JPG file above shows a photograph that I had my technician take while onsite to provide proof of the thermostat cooling to 77 degrees. The technician did find the AC system had a 23 degree temperature split which is evidence that the AC system is operating within the manufacturer's specifications.

As of today -

We have provided 3 service calls at no cost, just to find that the system has been operating properly.

We have installed custom made plenums at no cost, when [redacted] did not purchase the AC equipment from 72 Degrees.

We have discovered that [redacted] works in HVAC industry supervising/installing AC equipment career for a direct competitor of ours.

I had several companies give me an estimate for a new AC system. When Jason from 72 Degrees came to my home, it was refreshing to find a true consultant rather than another "salesman". They were very knowledgeable, thorough and did a fabulous job installing my new system. I highly recommend 72 Degrees to anyone who wants good service.

Unbelievable service. [redacted]. did everything possible to repair our air-conditioning unit and return our home to a comfortable living condition. He obtained the required part, returned that same evening and spent the required time (in a storm no less) repairing our unit. Very good service and cost below what we anticipated. We couldn't be happier.

Address for 72degreesaz for this complaint is 40 N. Central, suite 1400, Phoenix, AZ 85004

My AC unit failed this morning--fan and compressor not running when thermostat asking for cooling. Called 72degrees after internet search, and they promptly sent a repairman--Vicente. He quickly determined that the fault was a failed dual duty (fan and compressor) run capacitor. He replaced in about 10 minutes, and unit was then running fine. Vicente then told me that the fix would cost me over $400, or about $380 if I joined their Comfort Club. I assumed that a capacitor would cost about $35, and wanted my mortgage insurance to cover the repair. So I told Vicente to remove the replacement part, and I paid the $48 service call fee.

I then found a replacement capacitor from a vendor in Phoenix at 43rd Ave. and Bell-- it cost less than $50. I replaced the part myself, and the unit is now running fine.

Seems like 72degrees is running a scam, both to get people to pay about 10x more for repair parts than they should, and to get people to sign up for their Comfort Club.

I appreciate the fact that Vicente quickly found the malfunctioning part. But am outraged over the attempt to gouge me for the replacement part.

Had a heat pump tune-up. Freddie was polite, positive, and patient. He took time to review the results of my system check and made practical suggestions. He was a pleasure to work with.

CHRIS P came out to check my a/c units
very courteous and professional!
Highly recommend this company

I have had many experiences with less than honest HVAC companies. However I finally found a company I feel I can trust, Patrick Riley. The technician I have been working with, Chris, is very professional, has always fixed my problems, and the fixes last. He explains what is going on and the options I have to fix any problem. He is eager to address any issues I bring up. I would recommend Chris to anyone.
