Hello,
Since having filed the complaint below, I have connected with the company, 1&Internet, Incand the company has determined that the account in question was wrongly generated by someone assuming my identity1&is pursuing the incident further with their fraud department and have excused me of any negligence to payConsequently, I perceive the case to be closed with no further incident on my part.
While I have looked on your website, I could not find an area to which I am able to address this new information outside of responding back to this emailHopefully this email is sufficient to conclude the issue of my complaint and we can close the case
Thank you

I received a letter informing me of their merge with another company since I was a current customer, but I am notTherefore, I looked them up on Revdex.com to make sure they are legitimate and am hoping this was in error and not some fraudulent matterI am posting in case any others get the same response as they should know who their customer database consists ofNot bashing, just concerned and hope to help others
I received a bill for $20.92, which they claim is delinquent I called them and they said I owe money for websites that I run through them I explained that I do not have websites, and I've never heard of their company They told me I would have to cancel via the Email address they had, of mine, on file None of the addresses they had on file were mine They also told me that these services have been paid for several times over the past few months I checked both of my credit cards, and there are not any of these payments that they speak of Then they wanted me to confirm the last digits of my payment method I told them I DO NOT HAVE AN ACCOUNT WITH YOU, I'VE NEVER PAID FOR YOUR SERVICES AND I DO NOT HAVE WEBSITES I probably spent minutes on hold, and speaking to or different people They want me to call different phone numbers and I figured maybe I shouldn't play into their game
I would disagree with the description that 1and1.com has achieved growth through their "customer service"I rarely write reviews; but I am so dissatisfied, and I felt it is necessary to let people know about my experienceI've used godaddy and google domains previously, and decided to try 1andrecentlyI had to wait days to have access to the domains while they "created the contract"After my domains were established an accessible, I began to receive about 5-phone calls a day for marketing (even an overseas call from India)I would ask them to remove me from the calling lists, until one individual shared a tip with meHe said to call 1andand request my domain to be privateI used 1andbecause I thought they offered free private registrationsTheir prices are good, but it was pretty shocking to see the volume of marketing phone calls I began to receive after utilizing their servicesIt is disappointingJust stick to G***.com or even G*** ***https://goo.gl/YBgaxo
I signed up with them July 3rd 2015, and they told me (in an invoice) that on July 1st that my domain had been auto renewed (two days short of a year later)That day I logged into their site and canceled my domain renewal and it said that it was canceled, however they still charged me
Calling them, I talked with a guy named Kirk who claimed to have sent me emails warning me that it would have renewed, but I cannot find themPerhaps they got filtered to spam, however I doubt that they ever sent any such emails, since their invoice came through alright
Kirk also claimed that the company already paid all of the money that they got from me to the domain registrar, which I know to be a lie (since the company has to make money some how, and if they send all of the money on, how could they keep the doors open?)
I purchased domains from this business in In I was sent invoices notifying me the domains would renew for the next annual period (2015-2016) and that I would be automatically charged for these domainsMy bank was charged the following business day and payment was made in full on both invoicesI have come to find out that this company never actually renewed those domains that I paid for - one was released and the other was released and purchased by another companyI have contacted the company multiple times now by phone and email in an attempt to resolve the problem and identify what happenedTo date: they billed and took payment for services they never performed and they have not attempted to resolve my issue
Dear *** *** (Customer ID # ***),
I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience associated with
your account
Unfortunately, some banks/financial institutions do not
allow for prepaid credit cards to be used for services that have an
auto-renewal service/feature associated with themDue to that, our system is
not able to process payments for these services when they are being renewed
Regarding the auto-renewal of domain names, please see the
information listed below from ICANN under this link: ***,
which states that dependent upon the policies of the registrar in question,
there is the option/ability to have domain registrations set up for auto
renewal
"Registrars have to provide each new registrant with
notice of the Registrar’s deletion and auto-renewal policiesIf the Registrar’s
deletion policy changes during the time of the registration agreement, the
Registrar has to make efforts to inform the registrants of those policy
changesDetails of the deletion and auto-renewal policies have to be displayed
on any website the Registrar operates for domain name registration and renewal,
and the Registrar should also state on those sites any fee that will be charged
for the recovery of a domain name during the Redemption Grace Period (the
day period of time during which the name is in "Pending Delete"
status with the Registry)”
When this account was first set up, it would have been
stated at the time of the checkout that our domain name services are set to be
automatically renewedWithin the Control Panel of your account, you have the
option to turn off the auto-renewal function, in order to avoid any unwanted
renewalsAlong with that, we send domain renewal notifications at 60, 45, and
days preceding the domain renewal(s), in order to provide you with ample
time to cancel, or turn off the auto-renewal, for any domain name(s) that you
are no longer interested in
In order to assist your further, we are waiving the renewal
balance of $14.99, and unlocking this accountMoving forward, you will no
longer be responsible for resolving this payment
To transfer your domain, you will just simply need to
contact the provider in which you want to move it to, and initiate the transfer
from their sideOnce this has started, we will be able to release the domain
via a transfer to that other registrarThe process of transferring a domain
can last between 3-days, which is a process that we do not have the ability
to expedite, as it is ICANN policy that can cause this waiting timeFor your records, listed below is the authorization code that you will also
need in order to transfer your domain

Dear *** *** (Customer ID # ***), I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience that has been caused hereFor the records of this Revdex.com Complaint, please see below for a copy of the email that I had sent to
you earlier today (12/6/16), regarding our attempt to resolve this case…………………………………………………………………...⇄ Dear *** *** (Customer ID: ***), Thank you for contacting us I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience that has occurred here Regarding the voicemail that I left, the domain names: ***, ***.***, and ***.*** were transferred over to the new contract (ID #***) on 11/11/16, which is the same day they were set to expire, since you had deactivated the auto-renewal feature for both of these domains on 9/5/There is a day grace period that begins on the set expiration date (11/11/16), and this is to allow customers to reverse the expiration if they have decided to keep the domain(s) in questionThat being said, the renewal of these domains should have been processed with no issues, as they were accepted within the new contract when they were transferred over, which is why you were then invoiced for all under invoice #***. As mentioned, I had our Domain Administration Team investigate this matter further, and they have determined that there was a system error which caused the domains: ***.***, and ***.*** to be deleted, and go into the Redemption Process at the end of the referenced grace periodFor some reason, even though they had been invoiced and successfully charged, the system did not physically extend the registration for another months, which caused this unfortunate situation to occurAt this time, they are currently looking into doing whatever they can to reactivate these domain names for you, without charging the $Redemption Fees Due to the inconvenience, I am also refunding invoice #***, in the amount of $62.51, so please allow 3-business days for this refund to be processed I will contact you further with any new information as it is made available to me If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact us Once more, I apologize for any inconvenience that has been caused by this Thank you Sincerely, David M*** Solutions Manager 1&Internet Inc ……………………………………………………………………...⇄ Thank you David M*** Customer Care 1&Internet Inchttp://www.1and1.com

This is a new complaint
This company automatically renews your purchases if you fail to cancel far in advance of the renewal dateThey refuse to cancel after I asked them to cancelThey claim that I owe them for an annual renewalI will not give them a credit card because I do not trust that they will not automatically renew me in the futureI mailed them a check for the $balance that they are demanding and they refuse to accept payments by mailThe only logical reason is that they want to be able to keep auto-renewing my service in the future
I registered a domain over years ago I never received any information again, except numerous telemarketing calls trying to upsell me on further purchases When I decided not to pursue that website I did not renew the domain & charged me or "auto-renewed" the domain, after zero activity on the domain for years, and then sent the account to collections
When I called them to sort out the miscommunication, they have no record of my domain, or me in the system I want them to drop the collection on the account, since I never had any activity or plans to renew the domain
I received a letter from 1&Internet IncLetter states that I am past due $on an invoiceCustomer ID ***,
