I accept the refund for the service But It was definitely not enough to pay me for my time and troubleI definitely do not appreciate the tone of the letter making it seems that it was just because I was disappointed I provided them with pictures and the manager agreed it was bad work by their company Also She claimed she was out on sick leave and was not there that day when indeed she was ! I do not appreciate being lied to Maybe they should have told the corporate office about the pictures and what I was told

Finest company I've dealt withSafety is emphasized and this company has employees wear harnesses and hard hats and they treat their employees very wellJoe Webster Sr is a certified arborist and will try to save tree if possibleHe will not just try to cut down as many trees as possible to make $ This is a company we have used for years and we recommend them enthusiastically

[redacted] ***: Please accept my apology for the delay in responding to this complaint Here are the facts: [redacted] purchased a transmission fluid exchange along with a front driver side axle and seal in June from an independent AAMCO franchise in Englishtown That shop warranted the axle for months Englishtown AAMCO ceased operation in July Their warranty expired in June On or about September 22, 2017, [redacted] took her vehicle to an independent AAMCO franchise in Matawan That shop identified a torn axle boot and axle leak and recommended replacement of both front axles along with a transmission service that [redacted] agreed to pay to have performed According to AAMCO of Matawan, there was no indication of any flaw with the prior service and they informed [redacted] that the warranty on the driver side axle had expired and that the replacement was not a warranty item According to AAMCO of Matawan, [redacted] agreed to pay them without complaint On September 26, [redacted] contacted our company seeking a refund of the amount she paid the independent AAMCO franchise in Englishtown over a year earlier You should be aware that our company is a licensor of the AAMCO tradename, but that we did not own or operate any AAMCO franchises, including the independent AAMCO franchise in Englishtown Our company was not a party to any contract between AAMCO of Englishtown and [redacted] Nevertheless, it is our practice to cover legitimate warranty claims during the actual term of the express warranty as a goodwill gesture and sound business practice That was not the case at all with [redacted] ’s vehicle and neither our company nor the Independent AAMCO franchise in Matawan is responsible for any workmanship claims against the former AAMCO franchise. Please feel free to call me with any questions MIKE P***Director, Consumer SupportAmerican Driveline Systems IncGibraltar Road | Horsham, PA

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved] Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:Firstly no one from Aamco helped or directed me anywhere.A guy that works in the transmission shop in South Holland that was formerly Aamco (that serviced my car in April) informed me that I can go to any Aamco location, and Chicago was the nearest to me.From my understanding the Chicago location is also an independent franchise just as the one who serviced my car in South Holland and if this company is not responsible for the warranty I received why wasnt I told that all of the times I spoke with someone in your office in PennsylvaniaHowever when I first brought my car to the Chicago location my car was ALMOST miles out of the warrantyI explained to the mechanic my car had been noising for a few months and I know for certain it was still in warranty when I went to address the problem at Aamco but the location had closed down and I didnt receive notice or anything, and I was told to contact the office and see if they would work with me about repairing the trans since it was not a big overage. When the rep returned my call I explained to her when my problem first occurred I went to another repair shop because the Aamco in South Holland had closed,my car was making noises and it was under miles at that time, and she asked if I had proof and to send it to her and to return my car to the Chicago location for another inspection.I did both, and the next call was about a miscommunication from the engine and the transmission that was reported to the office. In March when my car was taken to Aamco the mechanic told me there was no communication coming from the TCM and it may take a little longer because he had to go in and see what the problem was and eventually the transmission was rebuilt.I picked up my car from the Chicago location and I had electrical work done, paying more money although different mechanics(of which is an Aamco mechanic-Chicago and an a former Aamco mechanic-South Holland) informed me that the lack of communication had NOTHING to do with the transmission failure, they are only diagnostic readings. When I returned it to Aamco the engine was now communicating but no readings from the transmission and the machine at the repair shop communicated codes and after I left Aamco I went to [redacted] and had a diagnostic test and they received communication showing codes as wellI feel like I am getting the run around and am losing more money dealing with Aamco Regards, [redacted]

After reaching out to Mr [redacted] we came to an agreement and he brought in his own transmission and we installed it for $which he originally authorizedFurther when I asked him about the series of events he did remember giving authorization to [redacted] to remove his transmission and inspect the parts inside by giving us the last four of his social security number which is common practice for convenience to the customer so he didn't have to drive down and sign the formAs far as the trip to the shop and the apparent exchange of pleasantries although [redacted] doesn't remember it that way, he had apologized to Mr [redacted] and promised me it would never happen againAt this time Mr [redacted] seems to be happy with the out comeNote to Revdex.com the reason this was so late in response is I have four stores and there seems to be a login issue using the same email

Verbal response:The owner and I talked and I ended up doing a different service on my vehicleThere is not a complaint anymore, the issue was resolved

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Allow me to address Mr [redacted] slanderous, insulting and farcical response to my complaint of inadequate and incomplete repairs to my car dated 10/07/I went to his shop simply because a new mechanic to this shop (***) had worked on my car within that prior year on a transmission that I had replacedI called ***'s previous employer who told me that he was no longer thereI had his number and called him and he gave me the address of his new employer which turned out to be this AamcoHis very personable manager [redacted] seemed familiar to me but I didn't give it much thoughtI included a picture of the damage cause by his shop on that occasion (cracked wood) 1/years earlierA local Jaguar dealer told me that the part would cost $I went there with the specific purpose of having the work done as stated on the work order under DESCRIPTION OF PROBLEMNothing lessAs you can see there is nothing entered under ADDITIONAL REPAIRS DECLINEDI only realized there was a problem with the repair on my drive home from the shop on 10/7/when the ABS light came back onI immediately pulled over, still on 51st Ave and called [redacted] and was informed FOR THE FIRST TIME, that the ABS was not repairedI disputed the charge the next dayGE did not decide anything other then it was not their job, as a bank, to determine who was right or wrong5.The harassment and extortion is particularly offensive since I was never hostile or belligerentI never argued or raised my voice to [redacted] who I felt was simply mistaken, not criminal, and only recall speaking with him perhaps one more time before he left with some illness in NovemberIn fact, it is Mr [redacted] who had me come to the shop before Thanksgiving wherein we agreed that I would pay between approximately $60-$for a used ABS module and Aamco would install it at no additional costAlthough I had already paid him for this repair and believed that it would be with a new part, I accepted his offer because I wanted the ordeal to be overWe shook on itI waited for him to acquire the module and call meWith the holidays I did not press the issueI believe that it was just after Christmas when I called and spoke with Mr [redacted] and he told me then that "legal" would not allow him to put in a used ABS moduleI doubted the truth of the statement but I asked that if I acquired the module if he would install itHe said yesI asked for the agreement in writing this time since the last agreement wasn't honored and I didn't want to buy a module and not have someone set to install it..and strongly sensed that I was getting put offHe said that he would send me something in writing but did not and the last time we spoke when he said, that he would "try" to send me something in writing and getting tired of his games, I insisted on knowing if he would or would not send in writing that he would install the module that I purchasedFinallyhe said that he would not and would not complete anything..everI hope that Mr [redacted] 's use of names and accusation of a "campaign of harassment and extortion" gives you a measure of this man's characterUsing ***'s illness to demean me is pathetic in itselfThe scope of work is the DESCRIPTION OF PROBLEM and is clear, as well as clearly not done.Regards, [redacted] ***

I was told when the truck was dropped back off there that the transfer case was completely full of fluid which was not the case whatsoeverI knew the transmission itself was leaking ever since I received it back from them after they initially rebuild itWhen I came back from my mile check up I told them that the output shaft seal on the transfer case was leaking (aamco replaced it) and the pan itself was leaking and they put a new output shaft seal into the transfer case without ever checking to see if it leaks fluid outI drove it for a while thinking everything was good and and never once realized that the output shaft seal they put into the transfer case was no longer attached to the transfer case whatsoeverSo what makes me upset is the fact that when I dropped it back off to them they insisted the transfer case was completely full of fluid still and it is having its own issues yada yada yada I left it there for weeks without getting any answers because I was told they were taking it apart to figure out what was wrong with it when receiving the transfer case back from them and the whole truck back it was blatantly obvious that the transfer case was not only never taken out of the truck but never taken apart like it was supposed to have beenso instead of me having time to get my work truck back together to pay my bills and take care of my customers my truck sat untouched for two weeks then told me it would be $1,to fixafter examination of transfer case were only a few small parts damaged but they insisted the whole thing needed to be rebuilt, and as seen in the pictures not one bolt was touched or taken apart to apart to see what the actual cause was if the seal that they installed was done correctly there should have never been an issue but from what was seen there was never fluid put back into the transfer case in the first place

Well, yesI was put on the defensive as my integrity was questionedI have been with Aamco since I am the second largest Aamco dealer there is (we are independently owned and operated)This is not by accidentI work very hard days a week to make sure our customers are satisfied and our work done right the first timeI follow Aamco procedure to a faultSo here is the deal with the warranty on our rebuilt unitYes, we can rebuild this unitWe are using new [redacted] parts from a [redacted] dealerThe problem is that if this needs warranty work, the Aamco in NY near you says he can not repair itThis would leave me with only optionIF you need warranty service I would have to ask the other dealer to remove and ship it to meProblem with this option is down time and costsWe would contact a trucking company, they would pick up the unit and bring it to me, we would repair and call the trucking company and they would take it back to NY on their scheduleThis could take days or moreI have no problem rebuilding this unit and warranting it here, but to warrant it out of state would mean if you did need warrant service I would have to pay another Aamco dealer to remove, ship to me, then ship back and pray the install tech knows what he is doingThis is why it is cost prohibitiveMy proposal to you is to either purchase a used unit and have them ship it to me in which or have me purchase a dealer unit and we will install and program it for you for about $plus the $for the unitJust depends on what the fluid costs meThis would save you a couple bucks but you would have the same warranty as if you took it to the dealerYour warranty would be honored at any [redacted] dealerI am basing the install price on the $plus the cost of the fluidso if the fluid cost me $then the install would be $1250, etcWe will then program it for $We usually charge $to $depending, but I am trying to help, best I can, with this difficult problemIf you decide to go with the dealer unit we should be able to get you on the road in a few days[redacted] ***

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me Regards, [redacted]

AAmco Transmission / AKA: In High Gear Incwhich now is located at [redacted] ave [redacted] because they were foreclosed on their USLocationPlease think twice before bringing your vehicle to them for repair [redacted] & [redacted] the owners are disrespectful, dishonest & untrustworthyI brought my vehicle there for an electronic issue with my transmission and they quickly said I need a rebuilt transmissionThere tactics are get your car or truck, give you a lowball price then they give you a different price a few days later after they remove your transmission, then if your not willing to accept they will charge you $for putting everything backI fell for their smooth talking and was told I would have it back in few daysThey ended up having the vehicle almost weeks, then they lost my keys and had to have a locksmith reprogram a new set, they damaged parts removing transmission and wouldn't admit to it, then when I picked up they were fast to want paymentI told them I wanted to take for a test drive and when I did, the shifter wasn't working correctly, It drove in neutral, went reverse in park & stayed in 3rd gear when in driveI told them about this and they told me it was like this when they got itThey LIED right to my faceNow they wanted more money to fix this problem, which never was a problem to begin withThey are a bunch of liers and smooth talkersI will not give them any business ever again and hope no one does after reading thisPLEASE google and searce for AAMCO SCAMS AND COMPLAINTSThere are thousands of reports of AAMCO doing these same business tacticsIf you want you transmission or any other service done without worrying please research and find another place to bring your vehicleI wish I would of looked before bringing my vehicle thereThey also have a F rating with the Revdex.comhttp://www.Revdex.com.org/south-east-florida/business-reviews/transmis... there are class action suite's against AAMCO for their dishonest and sly tacticshttps://aamcolawsuit.wordpress.com show less

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: A technical expert from Mercury Insurance (who specializes in engines and drivetrains) examined the damage and concluded that: “According to the transmission inspection, since the transmission was recently replaced, it is necessary for the final drive to be removed in order to replace the transmission The final drive was not lubricated So due to your shop not refilling the final drive after removal, it resulted in the seizure of the transmission and subsequent small fire This loss is a result of faulty workmanship” We have picture proof that the oil filler plug for the Transfer Case’s Final Drive still has the original seal, which proves that the oil in the transfer case has not been topped off as required per standard installation procedure The bearing failure due to insufficient lubrication and the resulting damage to the gears is the root cause of the intense heat that ignited nearby flammables, causing additional damage to other components I don’t know where you got the information that Mercury “made their call based on asserted supposition from you” and that they “would change his conclusion”I contacted Mercury today and they said that their decision is based on information provided by their inspector and is final Most of your comments are inaccurate and irrelevant The faulty workmanship, which has been verified and documented by several automotive experts: an AUDI expert from AVANT WORKS who specializes in A3s, a BAR Investigator, and Tomas Sport Tuning (an Audi/VW specialist shop) They all confirmed Mercury’s findings: the damage is typical of insufficient lubricant level in the Transfer Case They said that they are certain this was a result of a faulty installation, specifically failing to top off oil in the Transfer Case after the transmission was reinstalled, a deviation from acceptable trade standards The AAMCO’s own invoice does NOT list the oil top off in the transfer case Your shop has a long-standing record for handling similar cases in identical fashion, for which it earned stars on ***, on [redacted] ( [redacted] ), [redacted] , [redacted] and other social sitesOur claim stems from clear facts: a) your facility performed faulty workmanship that resulted in damage to other components, and b) you refused acknowledge that and cover the repairs necessary to fix the damage caused by a) The rest of your statement about which insurance covers what is not only irrelevant, but obfuscating the facts above The incompetence of your mechanic endangered my son’s life when the car seized up and caught fire in the middle of a crowded freewayI sent you a Demand Letter requesting that you reimburse us the cost of repairs that the warranty should not have shouldered, because this depleted the coverage for any future repairs.Sincerely, [redacted]

Tell us why here...Mr [redacted] ,I am sorry you are still having problems with your son's Audi A My understand is that your service contract company, after sending out their inspector, determined that it was a bearing failure that caused your transfer case to lock up and they have agreed to pay approximately $3,of your failed transfer case's bill They also determined that there was fluid in the transfer case at the time of failure If you recall, Mercury Insurance is your auto liability insurance carrier who has no mechanical expertise, they are a collision inspector They made their call based on asserted supposition from you They never contact us and when I got the information from you and talked to Mercury Insurance - he stated he would change his conclusionMercury Insurance declined your claim base on comprehensive coverage (theft & fire) that was clearly a mechanical failure claim I'm sorry that your original service contract company declined your 2nd claim because they paid out over $8,for your transmission on the first claim and told you that there was no more money left to cover the transfer case claim But they must have reconsidered since my understanding (from talking with Omar at the Milpitas AAMCO) is that your service contract company is covering $3,of your transfer case invoice I don't understand why you are asking for your money back for the transmission replacement when we clearly did the work and as far as I know there is no problem with the transmission Even if there was, you are covered under a warranty with the manufacturer[redacted] ***

As Stated by the Business.Regarding the Customers complaint to Revdex.comCustomer was contacted and matter resolved between AAMCO, & the Customer on Monday 09/14/2015, The Customer was informed that the Rental car cost is a responsibility of hisWarranty Company and not AAMCOThe Customer understands and complaint dropped Any Questions please contact me at###-###-#### [redacted] *.Aamco Transmissions

I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. The complaint is about the cost of the sensors that did not fix the problem.Regards, [redacted]

We are very sorry Mr [redacted] is having trouble with his vehicleWhile we stand behind our work and strive for 100% customer satisfaction, im not sure how this problem relates to the work we did, as that work was done in June of 2016, over a year agoFurther, letting a vehicle run or idle isnt harmful to it in any wayI would sure be willing to discuss this with Mr [redacted] , or anyone from the Revdex.com, or we would be willing to give a discount on the repairs needed Thank you Kurt W***
