The issue with Mr [redacted] 's abs has been resolved as far as I know and was covered under warranty The warranty will continue to be covered thru this location only and Mr [redacted] will not be allowed to have his vehicle service under warranty at another location Mr [redacted] was given a discount when picking up his car He may have his feelings about our customer service, but he needs to understand that we had to put different engines in his car and that was the reason for the delay We made every attempt to help him out including letting him borrow my personal car for weeks while his vehicle was down A rental car was even offered though Mr [redacted] declined

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Regards, [redacted] [To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, the consumer must give a reason why they are rejecting the responseIf the consumer does not provide a reason the complaint will be closed Answered]

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted] I respect Mr [redacted] dedication and experience, I'm also working very hard to get the money. The question is why I was not informed about all this before work started, I'd never go for it.Regarding the used unit, even if I spend my own time to buy it and ship it, there is probability that it may not work on the car, then I'll "owe" to Mr [redacted] much more then he is requesting now for still broken carMore over the question about warranty is still open in this case.Regarding a new unit, it does not make any sense since the car itself costs around the cost of new unit.Regards, [redacted]

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below I have responded back I do not accept the outcome of the issues I have had with AamcoYes the business has finished the car and I have picked up the car and paid service in fullSince then I have been back to the same business separate times to get a sensor replaced and a oil leak fixedI have a year warrantee on the motor and if more things happen to the car I would like to bring it to a different Aamco locationI am being told I can only bring the car back to that location? I do not think this shop has the experience nor do I feel the customer service is good at allI want to be able to get the car serviced at another Aamco location to avoid anymore contact with the owner [redacted] and his business What are my options? Regards, [redacted]

Sir/Madam; Our office has contacted the independently owned AAMCO franchise in Houston who acknowledges reconditioning the transmission in Mr [redacted] ' vehicle and issuing an express warranty on its parts and labor According to the owner of that business, the vehicle arrived at his facility with an apparent transmission failure along with a series of diagnostic trouble shooting codes indicating miscommunication of various components within the vehicle Reportedly, Mr [redacted] had requested assistance from a third party extended warranty company who performed their own evaluation of the vehicle but denied extended warranty coverage to the transmission due to a number of modifications done to the vehicle including removal of exhaust and EGR components that resulted in the miscommunication condition AAMCO of Houston asserts that they agreed to repair the damaged transmission with the understanding from Mr [redacted] that he would arrange to correct the miscommunication condition at his expenseAAMCO of Houston further asserts that they are agreeable to authorize any needed warranty repair at any authorized AAMCO repair facility per the express terms and conditions of their warrantyOur office also contacted the independent AAMCO franchise in Cedar Park TX who more recently evaluated this vehicle According to that facility, they observed that none of the modification previously done to this vehicle had been corrected and that the miscommunication errors persist that have resulted in a drivability condition in which the operation of the transmission is placed in a "fail safe" mode Cedar Park AAMCO is unable to determine at this time if, in fact, the performance issues they have identified are caused by a defect in the parts and labor provided by Houston AAMCO They informed Mr [redacted] that it would be necessary for him to reinstall various exhaust and EGR components that were removed from the vechile in order to correct the miscommunication error and "fail safe" mode and that upon completion of such correction, they would be happy to further evaluate the condition of the transmission at no charge and provide any warranty repairs that may be required Feel free to call me with any questionsMichael P [redacted] ###-###-####

[redacted] : I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. When I took the car in on 4/I never once mentioned that the transmission was slipping I only described the noise I was hearing, explained I'd been driving with it for a couple of months and was encouraged to get it checked as it might be problematic That's why I took it to AAMCO in the first place When [redacted] called me early Friday afternoon, they had only done an external inspection that he told me everything looked fine He said they had road tested the car and heard what I had describedNOTHING was mentioned about a wheel bearing problem until I picked up the car, paid for it, and was walking out the door when [redacted] comment began....Oh by the way They did NOT confirm a transmission problem until Monday morning when they called me to tell me they determined it had overheated and needed $worth of parts and labor It was at this point that he insisted he needed my approval to start repair I told him I was walking on a busy street, couldn't hear him clearly and would have to call back Again the comment of needing to start repair When I called him back and he reiterated the parts and labor list, I told him I had to call back again after determining how I was going to pay for it Again I was pressured for approval because as he said, "The car is on a lift and we need to start repair on it" When I called back the third time we discussed financing and that was when I decided how I was going to pay for it I then approved the work that I was told was necessary and understood that would cure the noise problem I took the car in to them in the first place. It is a lie that AAMCO would state that I took the car in for a wheel bearing problem As I have said before, the actual words "wheel bearing problem" were never mentioned until [redacted] said them as I was leaving after paying for the car and it was a by the way When I asked about the severity of a wheel bearing problem, he also said it would cost $to repair If I DID bring the car in for a wheel bearing problem I would never have asked to have the transmission checked and put myself purposely in a position to spend $I didn't have if the problem could be fixed for $ In their response, AAMCO has completely misrepresented the truth Regards, [redacted]

Our published delivery deadlines are 06:am Monday-Friday and 07:am Saturday and Sunday These deadlines were established years ago based on our company's business processes We are not able to meet Mr [redacted] 's expectations of a 05:am delivery deadline Credit has been applied to Mr [redacted] 's account for "missed" days since April In each instance, a Florida Times-Union representative confirmed a newspaper had been delivered on or before our company's deadline Members of our [redacted] have documented conversations where Mr [redacted] was informed of our company's delivery deadlines and our inability to deliver at 05:am We are not able to meet Mr [redacted] 's expectations of a 05:am delivery deadline We are willing to offer an additional two weeks' credit for the alleged misrepresentation by our contracted sales staff, but only with the understanding that our delivery deadlines are 06:am Monday-Friday and 07:am Saturday and Sunday

Revdex.com:At this time, I have not been contacted by Aamco Transmissions regarding complaint ID [redacted] .After I wrote my original complaint I had to bring my truck BACK to the shop once again due to another faulty part in my "new" transmission I was not offered any type of compensation by the manager ***, and he even told me that it was not his problem if I broke down at 3AM in the middle of nowhere due to a transmission problem This is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE as I regularly have my six month old niece in my truck with me Please see to it that I will no longer be responsible for payments for the transmission job that was never done correctly in the first place I thank you in advance for your cooperation in this matter Sincerely, [redacted] ***

Hello,For the record, I had made a request for some help finding alternate driving arrangements, either in the form of a loaner or partial refund to cover the money already spent waiting for the prior failed repairs Mr [redacted] has declined to offer anything in this regard which is his right, but it is unfortunate that I am essentially being asked to spend more money (in the form of a rental) which I can ill afford on a repair with no show of good faith whatsoever, nor any real assurance there will be any improvement Nevertheless I will be dropping my vehicle off at his Attleboro facility as soon as I am able to figure out alternate driving arrangements, so I am accepting this offer for the time being The results will tell if any further action will be needed Regards, [redacted]

Mrs [redacted] we humbly apologize you've continued to receive deliveries of our complimentary products after requesting they cease We have filed a formal complaint with the branch manager and will be sure no future deliveries are made Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention and allowing the opportunity for resolution My direct line is [redacted] should you have any questions [redacted] ***

We contacted the operator of the independent AAMCO franchise in Kentucky who acknowledges that they rebuilt a transmission provided by the consumer but have no responsibility for the condition of fuel lines that were found to be damaged at the initial repair This facility also denies responsibility for the condition of the exterior of the vehicle After the intitial repair, Erlanger AAMCO agreed to cover a warranty repair that included a valve body repair in March of this year They have requested that Mr [redacted] return his vehicle to any authorized AAMCO repair center for further evaluation Feel free to call me with any questionsMike P [redacted] AAMCO Transmissions, Inc###-###-####

Dear [redacted] - It came to my attention through AAMCO corporate on November 29th, that [redacted] was unhappy with services performed by our Renton AAMCO on his SilveradoUnfortunately I have been out of the country for weeks due to hospice care and then the death of my motherAs soon I heard there was a problem, I set forth to resolve itI contacted Sandra K [redacted] (W***) to follow up on the complaint [redacted] was contacted on 12/by Sandra K [redacted] (W***)It was her task to call [redacted] and learn what had occurred with the vehicle repair and the nature of his complaint [redacted] shared with MsK [redacted] that the vehicle was brought in for a noise and that the shop determined it to be the transmission [redacted] signed off on the proposed work, paid and then the transmission was rebuiltAfter the rebuild, [redacted] claimed the noise was still there and that now, the vehicle would not reverse [redacted] requested for AAMCO to fix the vehicle at no chargeAfter we investigated the claim and the situation, we determined that we would tow the vehicle to our AAMCO location at no cost to the customer and evaluate the vehicleWe also shared that we would cover the labor to rebuild the transfer case if that was indeed what was wrong with the vehicle, and that we would potentially cover parts costs or at least give [redacted] our price on the parts simply because he had to wait not for any fault on our partMsK [redacted] followed up with [redacted] by phone and [redacted] agreed to have the vehicle towedWhen our staff member Chris called to arrange for the tow, [redacted] became obstinate and would not move forward without speaking to one of the owners [redacted] hung up on ChrisI have been swamped being back only a week; I am short three people and trying to run three storesIt is unreasonable for [redacted] to demand I call to arrange for the towWe have been forthcoming with [redacted] and doing our best to serve him and fix his issue even though it is not our fault [redacted] has been obtuse and completely unreasonable in allowing us to help himAt this time we are rescinding our offer to fix the vehicle at no charge Sincerely, Louise B [redacted] Owner

Final Consumer Response / [redacted] (3000, 7, 2015/04/17) */ This complaint is resolvedMy car is finally fixed and I did not get charged anything extraThe company representative was very nice

Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 5, 2014/11/25) */ I have spoken to Mr [redacted] on Nov25th, will be mailing out a gift card for appeasement todayTracking number will be sent to Mr [redacted] via email Sorry for any inconvenience and delay in resolution to this issue Thank You [redacted] ***

The customer brought their car in for a transmission problemUnfortunately the warranty company that provides the vehicle coverage is not a very good oneThey decided to fix the car by sending a used transmissionWhen we put the first transmission in the car it did not workSo they had to send us another used unit and we had to do the job all over againThis entire time the customers battery was out of the car because if you do not take out the battery you are subject to electrical shockWhenever you have a battery out for that long of a period you will have to call the dealer and get the code to get your radio unlock code because of the anti-theft featureThe manager at our shop should have told the lady that factWe apologize for that fact, but all she had to do is call the dealer and the code is free if you prove ownershipWe also tell each customer that if they see any leaks or check engine lights come on during the first couple days they should return to have the car checked. The customer called me a month or more later when they were informed by another shop that they had a power steering problemThe other shop told them that we left a bracket off that caused the line to melt on the exhaust, and she wanted us to pay the other shop $to fix itI told her that I would need to see the car, and if we did indeed cause the problem that we would fix it for freeShe towed us the car and after checking it we found nothing missingThe only problem was that her power steering line was old and melted because it is located right near the exhaust.I called her and said nothing was our fault, but I would fix her car for $to help her out (which is about 50% of the cost of the repair)Since that time she has called constantly and demanded a free repair and on one occasion came into my office and acted so out of control we almost had to call the police to remove herI have explained this whole situation to her numerous times, but she just has her mind set on a free repairWe would provide that repair if we were at faultIf she does not wish to let us fix it for $500, she has the option to pay $at the other shop[redacted]

This business response was received by Revdex.com via phone.Marlene said they will not charge the consumer to bring his vehicle back to their location to have their water pump work inspected; however, he would have to check with the AAMCO of his choice to see if they will charge him to inspect the work her business performed

the only repairs the customer paid to have done was a transmission rebuild therefore we do not offer any warranty on his transfer case We have no responsibility to repair this under warranty as we never repaired his transfer case
