This complaint does not accurately describe what has occurred it’s unfair that our members spouse can make such one-sided statements to what has taken place. --- Mr. [redacted] contacted ATC on July 10th of 2013... requesting assistance with preparing documents to establish joint legal and physical custody. After he spoke to our senior advocate who informed him of our fees for document preparation, he agreed to become a member and proceeded to complete the web activity and accept the terms and conditions on 07/12/13. On 08/20/13 Mr. [redacted] made a payment of 350.00 towards his total document fee of $690.00. On 08/23/13 Mr. [redacted] was told that we need to have the mother’s address in order to continue with typing his court documents. Mr. [redacted] said he understood we needed the mother’s address to proceed. Mr. [redacted] paid the remaining balance on his account on 02/20/14 and was (again) informed that we would not be able to proceed until we had the mother’s address. Mr. [redacted] understood we still need the mother’s address. Mr. [redacted] was called FOURTEEN (14) times from 08/23/13 thru 03/04/14 regarding needing mom’s address to proceed with the documentation. On 03/4/14, SIX (6) months after the initial request for the mother’s address, Mr. [redacted] called back with the mother’s address. On 3/04/14 (Fri.) the information was relayed to our documents department and the document preparation began the following Monday - 03/07/14. Mr. [redacted] was told that (his) “rough draft” documents would take between 14-21 business days to complete. On 03/28/14 we sent Mr. [redacted] his rough drafts via email (this happened to be the same day [03/28/14] we received Mr. [redacted] ’s BBB complaint). We clearly provided Mr. [redacted] ’s requested documents to him within the agreed upon time frame. The documents were ready on the 16th day of the 14-21 business-day time frame. In addition to sending an email along with the documents on 03/28/14, today, 04/01/14 our family service supervisor left a voicemail for Mr. [redacted] that since his documents are in his possession, ATC would like to have him review the documents for his approval or inform us of any needed modification(s). At the end of business day of 04/03/14, we have not received a response from Mr. [redacted] . As no refund is due to Mr. [redacted] , he may contact us so that we can move forward. We sincerely look forward to assisting contacting us.

This place is really a joke..So going through child custody and before reading any of the reviews I turn to about the children assuming that they were problem a great company from they way the experience was when I had my initial consult and the way the program was explained to me I was pleasedAfter time never able to reach anyone as I would call and never getting returned callsI would get emails with questions and what I would like to be put in my modification ordersThen after that I would receive a rough draft to start the processI did receive my rough draft as was not pleasedSounded as if it was written up by a two year old also the way the papers were they were not accurateso I was able to make contact and they claimed they would do more work to it them send me a second rough draft to go overAt the point never received a second rough draft and any and all phone calls and emails were never returned but yet they were still pulling the doller monthly fee from my bank accounttoday on there own time calling me say I owe them and I need to pay or it will be sent to collection.That I signed a contact stating I would have to pay itI have never signed anything other then a receipt for a payment I madeI really believe this is a scam and if not they are for sure suckers and good for nothing

The reason I am upset is because the documents took FAR too long and I could not reach my "advocate" for days and then when I finally did get my rough draft nearly two weeks after paying the $it was wrong?! E***, my "advocate" can advise that I called well before I was "assigned" an attorney and asked for all to be cancelled with the documents but he stated it was too lateThis was 2/Then on 2/I see my case has just been "assigned"? Please verify with him that I asked for a refund of the documents before he vanished off the face of the earth After getting my rough draft, I did not have time to wait another days for it to be corrected then 3-days to be sent to me via FedExI know that a portion of the work was completed which is why I asked for a PARTIAL refund, and not the $or full the $Other people who do not pay up front are given the rough draft and then have to pay the remaining balance before it is mailed to them, is that correct? And if they choose not to use it they are then not charged the remaining balance? Is that correct? If so, then why is my case any different except I already paid the full $from the get go? I am not asking for the rough draft to be corrected or asking for a final to be sent to me with any directions, etcI did not utilize the full service so why would I not be due at least a partial refund, as I requested? I am so horribly let down and disappointed with the service and then to be told that contacting the Revdex.com because I was being ignored for days was "threatening" your company? We look forward to hearing from him. ====== HERE IS OUR ORIGINAL RESPONSE TO MR. ***’S COMPLAINT: ================ No refund is in order as members need to cooperate with us, this system is a 2-way agreement. In speaking with Mr. ***’s bank they stated that they did not approve a “charging back” (reversing) his charges, due to the fact that Mr. [redacted] contradicted himself when speaking with them ===== Here is a summary of what has transpired thus far: ===== Mr. [redacted] contacted ATC on 11/7/2014, where he discussed having documentation prepared for two sets of children. After paying his one- time enrollment fee of $98.00, Mr. [redacted] said he’d like to proceed with both sets of documents. Since 2 different mothers were involved, 2 separate sets of documents were required. Mr. [redacted] was told that the first set of documents would cost $590.00, and the fee for the second set was $300.00. As a courtesy - and were reduced because his case required separate documentation. ----- Together with his enrollment fee of $98.00 and his combined document fees of $890.00, the total fee is to be $988.00, not the $1,571 Mr. [redacted] referenced in his complaint. Mr. [redacted] has paid for his first set of documents. Mr. ***’s first set of documents were sent to his Email for his review on 2/18/15. ----- Mr. [redacted] paid half of his 2nd set of documents totaling $300 = with a remaining balance due of $150.00. ----- Mr. [redacted] took TWO WEEKS to provide ATC with the names, addresses and his current court orders related to his family court case. THESE DOCUMENTS were needed in order to prepare (type) his first set of documents. There is never an offer of “rushing” documentation without all the information needed to complete the documentation. Rushing documents can only be done when all necessary information has been provided by the member which was explained to Mr. ***. ----- Mr. ***’s 2nd set of documents have been on hold since 12/18/14 pending him supplying ATC with the temporary orders from child protective services that Mr. [redacted] HAS BEEN REPEATEDLY asked to supply us with. WE STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED THESE REQUIRED DOUCMENTS FROM MR. ***! ------ We are currently 12 weeks out from our first request for the temporary order from child protective services needed to prepare the second set of documents. Mr. [redacted] states that he has repeatedly faxed us those documents. We have not received them and wish to note that we had no problem receiving all the necessary paperwork required to complete the first set of Mr. ***’s documents that he was previously emailed. Mr. [redacted] was informed that all necessary documentation needed to prepare his documents, needed to provided to us, via fax or email in order to complete his requests. ----- ATC would love to settle Mr. ***’s complaint and ask that he review the documents for the completed first set of documents sent to him via email on 2/18/15, and revise or approve of them so that we may ship those documents to him via UPS. ====== Mr. ***’s 2nd set of documents have been on hold since 12/18/14 pending him supplying ATC with the temporary orders from child protective services that Mr. [redacted] has been repeatedly asked for to complete them. Upon receipt of those documents, ATC would be happy to complete the second set of documentation. Multiple phone calls, messages, and emails have been sent to Mr. [redacted] and we still do not have the necessary document to complete this paperwork. IT SHOULD BE NOTED: If a member was having difficulty having ATC receive any fax(es), 1) the problem is not necessarily on our end, as we receive faxes 24 hours a day ----- 2) a different fax can be utilized 3) documents can be scanned and emailed to us. -----In addition, Mr. [redacted] has falsely included in his complaint that we withdrew funds from his account under the name “Mid MA Residents” - we have confirmed with his bank that he is in error. Mr. [redacted] has and is being asked to contact us so that we can finish the document preparation process. In our last correspondence with Mr. ***, he was also informed that we are willing to offer him an additional discount to the deep discount he has already been provided. No refund is in order – ATC did everything we were supposed to do, and member did not (per the “Terms and Conditions” that he agreed to) allow us an opportunity to correct/modify documents when they were still in the “Rough Draft” stage ----- further - it is believed that Mr [redacted] utilized our documents and “filed on his own” ----- Our account supervisor reviewed this complaint, reviewed the documents, and then called Mr***----- Here is supervisors assessment of this account: ----- Dear Compliance, ----- I just spoke to Mr*** I explained I looked at the Revdex.com Complaint and printed out his (Rough Draft) documents I said I then went through them and found them to be done wellI also let mbr know I went through his recorded call log and extensive notes told him that his complaints regarding not being called back were unfounded----- I let him know that it was my own personal opinion that he used our (rough drafts) to then file documents on his own----- I paused and waited he did not deny this I explained this is not the first time someone has used our documents to do their own and that we are updating our program so this kind of thing doesn’t continue to happen He said nothing I stated we have his signed Confirmation Letter and no refund is in order He responded that he understood, and the call was ended- - - - As I informed the member – no refund is due----- [redacted] ----- ------ We sincerely wish Mr [redacted] the best----- R [redacted] , About The Children, LLC

On March 26, 2014, MrD*** became a member of ATC to receive assistance in the preparation of documents to address a family court issueBefore using our services, MrD [redacted] read and accepted our Terms and Conditions on 3/27/ After speaking with his family service rep on 3/27/MrD [redacted] paid $towards his document feeThen, on 4/3/ MrD [redacted] made another payment of towards his document fee, which left him with a remaining balance of $“Rough Drafts” (because he had not given his final approval) were then provided to MrD*** AFTER MrD [redacted] reviewed his documents, he submitted corrections/modifications to these documents, and subsequently approved of them- - - MrD***’s “Final Draft” documents were provided (emailed) to him on 4/22/and MrD [redacted] was asked to review documents and to pay the remaining balance to have his documents sent to him via UPSOn 4/29/MrD [redacted] was reminded that we still needed him to make corrections or (approve) the final drafts, pay his balance, so that we may send his documents vis UPS--- On 5/8/ MrD***’s wife asked for a refund via emailAn email response was then sent from the family service supervisor that no refund is available, as the requested documents were preparedIn addition, MrD [redacted] was reminded that an outstanding balance of $was still dueThe “poor quality” statement that is used to describe these documents is unfounded – the documents were prepared properlyATC prepared MrD***’s documents to his specifications and no refund is dueIt should be noted that we have a contract signed by the parties involved and collections may be in orderWe would like to speak with MrD [redacted] to complete the shipping process of his documentationAs a courtesy, MrD [redacted] may request a waiver of his remaining balance to settle this issueWe look forward to speaking directly with MrD [redacted] to resolve this issue in a satisfactory manner – again, we are willing to cancel his remaining balance, and provide him with the documents he has approved of We wish MrD [redacted] the best in the future, Sincerely, [redacted] , ATC

This consumer is satisfied, in that no funds were ever billed or removed to/from her credit/debit card account (so no refund was needed)------ NOTE: This transaction was never processed/ billed – it was “voided” the same day of Ms [redacted] ’s informed us that she did not want to move forward with our assistance ------ FOR THE RECORD: Ms [redacted] enrolled into our program the last hour of our work day on 3/4/On the same day (3/4/15) Ms [redacted] provided us her credit/debit account information, she received a “Welcome Call” at 4:46pmThat night at 9:31pm Ms [redacted] filed a complaint with the Revdex.comThe next day (3/5/15) at 8:18am, we returned a call to Ms [redacted] and (per her request) the transaction was “voided” which means that no funds were ever removed or charged to her accountWe truly wish Ms [redacted] the best of success------ Sincerely, ATC, LLC

I would also like to point out that I only received one phone call from them to ask about this problemThen after I made complaint with the Revdex.com I did receive a call about refund from a gentleman named*** *** to give me a link to take complaint back from Revdex.com n give me a refundWhen I tried to call this man he never responded back to meI then tried to call him the very next day to which I left him message n never heard from himHe then left a message saying that the reason I didn't receive calls was because someone called me once and when I tried to call the number that was left on my voicemail it was a bad number

I sought to use to use this company in my divorce because I couldn't afford a traditional attorneyThe first man I spoke with was polite and sounded genuine in that the company would be able to assist me in my divorceThe next man I spoke with was quite rude and very short with meThe only time he even sounded halfway sincere was when I paid him hundreds of dollars to start working on my rough draftShortly after paying that amount I received assistance from an attorney that agreed to take my caseI called the company to ask them to stop working on my paperwork and to ask for a refund since I had not yet received anything from themThe woman with whom I spoke with not only said I was not entitled a refund (this was never mentioned before I asked about it) but insisted that I pay them an additional $300.00!? I was just dumbfounded that even though I had not received anything from them not only they refused a refund but also insisted that I pay them more money for a service I am not using! That's like buying a product and not being allowed to use itI felt very taken advantage of by this company

I did not use their service, they had told me that they could not help me because my grandson was in Washington state not California, and if he did arrive in California in august , then they could help me with the guardianship paperwork, and that is when I assumed the payment would begin then, and my grandson did arrive in California in august, so I called them to inform them that I had already had done the guardianship papers through the court in the town I live, so I would not be needing their servicethen in march when I received my statement on my credit card of the charges, I had called ATC to ask what it was for, and that’s when I realized they had been charging the entire year for a service that they could not help me with, that’s when I asked for a full refund of $back because they did not do anything for me to help get my grandson, I feel I am entitled to the full $300.00, since they were well aware
They could not help me at allThe whole reason I called was to try to get my grandson out of Washington State, who was in a place with terrible living conditions, but they could not help me, so how can they charge for a service they did not do? They absolutely did nothing for me , and if they were able to help me I would have surely paid them the fees that they were asking, but they did not help me and even after I let them know I didn't need their service they continued to bill me

Complaint: 10527045I am rejecting this response because:these people is really a trip the document they sent me was missing other information after I went to file the motion the clerk let me know there was other document missing which they did not provide me with I spoke to barbara and email her the missing documents I need she let me know I was the wrong docket and I did not need to those paper after making back three trip to the courthouse I get to speak to a legal team that the court prove at the court house and let me know what other documents I need....I send barbaba a email letting her that the docket I email her the first time that was the papers I need to submit the motion that's wen I got a call from of their staff that I will get those papers even after I received those papers all they did was fill out my name n the other parrty and case number they did not explain to me about nothing.....I still did have to wen back to the court house and they file out the documents for me and how to file it was I must sent to the other party and what copy to sent to the court .....is like I paid them my money for nothing it hurt me to see these people sit behind a phone and rob hard working parents out of their money.....I have prove of email I send to them using they did a horrible job and they did not even have on none of the documents that they were the one that fill the paper work out .....these people need to be off business because they don't care for parents that going through hard times they aint no way for the children more than their pocket.....they unprofessional and rude they know in their self that they need not prove a job that I hired them to do .......I still feel I need toget my refund because I have to turn around and make trip back and forth to get help with my paper work I paid these people for nothing....I dont know what legal team they said they paid to do the work but they don't have no experience in what they're doing.Regards,*** ***

clear with the terms & conditions, as well as the multiple
calls to MsS*** from our member care staff who read

5/13/MsS*** paid $to have temporary and permanent documentation
prepared for her by ATCShe was sent a receipt to sign that stated she’d paid
Clearly, MsS*** was sent a contract with a “typo”=====We
apologized for our mistake and MsS*** was sent her proper receipt for
$890.00. It was a simple mistake that we made , nothing moreMsS***
was sent via email her rough draft documents on 5/29/with instruction on how to revise them via emailMs
S*** did call with concerns regarding a statement on the instructions stating
that major revisions may entail an additional fee of $MsS*** spoke
with her family service representative and was told that did not
apply to general revisions She was assured that did not apply to her, nor was

again to make any revisions by email of her rough draft documents so that we

was informed, we welcome any request from Ms*** regarding any further
documentation needed so that we may resolve this matter, and assist her
further. Ms*** has both our Terms

regarding problems with her documents, that she were to contact ATC to resolve
the issueOur Terms and Conditions include that we (ATC) will correct and/or
modify any documents if/as needed - Ms*** did not contact us------ In
addition Ms*** was asked to provide a “rejection letter” from the county
clerk in regards to our documents being rejectedMs*** failed to provide
us any such letter (a private email from someone other than the county clerk
was sent - It was not on official letterhead and was clearly not a court
rejection letter)It was brought to Ms***’s attention that the private
email was not acceptableMs*** chose to ignore our request to produce any
official documentation from the courtAt no time has Ms*** requested
further documentation via phone call or email in regards to her paperworkAs
Ms *** was informed, we welcome any request from Ms*** regarding any
further documentation needed so that we may resolve this matter, and assist her
furtherATC stands behind the documents prepared on Ms***’s behalf, and
it is our position that our policy (clearly provided to Ms***) includes
that it was her responsibility to allow us to correct or modify the documents
we provided herFor the above reasons, no refund is in order, and we continue
to welcome Ms*** to contact us, should she require further assistance with
her document preparation, correction, and/or modification------ We sincerely
wish Ms*** the best of success, ATC, LLC

I am rejecting this response because:
As stated before, I did not receive services from ATC at the time I requested a refund Their representative was extremely misleading and made promises of assisting me with my legal matter and expediting my case if I paid in full immediately I contacted them immediately after being asked to sign and fax back a document "before any documents could be prepared and sent" and that document was sent to me only after I had paid in full Upon reading the terms and statement, I realized my mistake and asked for a full refund They charged me $and I never received any services from this company
Their terms were clarified only after I gave them my payment information and as soon as they had my credit card information they are adamant that there are no refunds.I should not pay for services not received ATC never tried to make this right, or even offered any sort of refund or restitution, partial or otherwise I thought About The Children was a non-profit advocacy group to assist people like me with their legal custody concerns and instead I have been violated by them and incurred a set back in my legal situation, as I now am no further in my custody case and have even less funds to retain the legal assistance I thought I was paying for This company takes advantage of people that are going through difficult situations and people should be advised that they are being coerced into paying large sums of money for nothing more than a clerk to fill in forms that any person can do on their own.
