On January 19, 2017, our renter, *** *** at *** * *** *** first contacted my husband She informed us that she had a major water leak in the kitchen under the sink She told us that she called Champion Plumbing and Rooter CompanyMichael Fimbres did most of the plumbing repairsOn our third visit to the residence, an Adams D&R truck was on-premiseA gentleman introduce himself as Shane and then handed me a business cardI didn’t notice until later that the card was a general card for the business and had the title Mitigation Technician On 1/21/2017, *** Restoration Service came in and said they had to run an asbestos and lead test before any work could be done Not sure why they showed up since I hadn't authorized anyone to complete repairs at this point The tests both came back negative by J R*** Lead Environmental Tester We called our insurance company *** Mutual, on 1/23/2017, since the problem seemed be bigger than we originally th

This company scammed me In they came to my house for a minor leak I had in the garage from my hot water heater I offered to pay cash which was quoted at $ The rep insisted I use my insurance because my deductible was only $ They started the job and did not returnWhen I called they told me they would not complete the job and put my wall back together until the insurance paidThey left their fans in my garage for days and were supposed stop be back the following day After three weeks I fired them and hired another company Adams Restoration billed my insurance almost $ I ended up hiring a lawyer and paying them $for ripping out my wall and not completing the job Do not use this company!!!!

We hired Adams D&R around 11/16/due to a leak in our kitchenThey gave us a completion date of December It is now March and our kitchen is still not fixed! During the beginning of the project, one of the contractors took out our cabinets and then and we did not see them for several weeks to complete the jobWe had a plethora contractors coming in and out of our home and not wearing foot covers and as a result, our carpet is very dirtyWeeks later someone from the company stated they can send out a temporary sink after causing us to suffer without water in the kitchen
Around 1/4/I spoke Edger GHe stated that he will call a meeting with the company staff and that he will also have the granite workers come back to fix the granite kitchen topsEdgar took pictures of the problemsOnce the workers came out we noticed the next day our ice maker was not producing ice because one of the granite worker(s) pushed the refrigerator to close to the wallOn 2/9/Edg

In short, it took months for them to complete work on our bathroom, we were charged $more out of pocket than we were initially quoted and when time came to resolve issues they could not provide for me the initial estimate on the job they completedI was also able to confirm that they lied on their website in regard to the organizations to which they belongedThat is the short of it, but please take the time to read this full review before you choose to work with them
To their defense, most of our problems came from a project manager that is no longer with their companyWhat he did and the mistakes he made I will leave out as I was told he was let goThat being said, it is ridiculous that their oversight allowed for what happened to happen
When it came time to try to make it right, the first step was to get someone out to redo pieces of a bad tile jobIt was not until the FIFTH appointment that it actually got fixedTwo times, the appointment was cancelled the day ofOne time they showed up over an hour before they were supposed to and when we asked them to return after my wife had taken our kids to school, they left and never came backThe other time people showed up who had no idea what they were supposed to be doing and, as such, were unpreparedThey told us they would be running out to buy equipment they needed and would be back in minutesMy wife waited around for 3+ hours before they showed back up to say they couldn't do itRemember, this was their attempt to fix what was already a complete nightmare
Finally fixed, I followed up on the billMy wife paid what was asked without much thought, trusting that it was still owedWhen I circled back around, I found what was supposed to be $out of pocket for us after insurance coverage, ended up being $out of pocketI attempted to get the original estimate from them but they claimed to have lost it, then they said they had it, then they actually didn't, then they did but what they provided was not what I asked forFor a company not to have the original estimate for the job they completed means they are either incompetent or they are liarsBased on my experience and what I found later, I believe they are both
While following up on this, I investigated the reputable organizations to which they claimed to be part of via their website (the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration and the Restoration Industry Association)Those organizations are, indeed, reputableAdams D&R being members of those organizations was falseBoth organizations confirmed that, at the time of my inquiry, Adams D&R were not membersI brought this up to one of their employees, and she confirmed that they were not, but they were working on getting it backIn the meantime, though, they did not remove it from their website or post any kind of disclaimer
I was finally offered a refund of $I continued to ask for the original estimate, but they would not provide it and discontinued contact with meThis was, by far, the worst customer service experience we have ever had and we actively steer people away from working with Adams

Adams D&R provided quality and efficient service on short notice I want to especially recognize Mark Miller for the excellent customer service he provided Mark went over and above to make sure I was satisfied and happy with the service I received from the company

I had heard horror stories from some friends about a restoration company they usedSo I was hesitant to call Adams after having my plumber discover a leak that was spreading from my bathroom all the way into the bedroom next to IttHe assured me they would get the job done at a fair priceI called and they have someone out within minutes inspecting the damage! They explained that there was water damage and that I should file a claim with my insuranceI had never filed a claim with my insurance so they helped me call the adjuster and helped me with using the correct verbiage to ensure all damage was coveredThe crew that was there daily was respectful and professionalI received updates regularly about progress and the owner of the company was even at my adjuster meetingI couldn’t be more happy with the work these guys did

I cannot begin to state how unprofessional this company wasI do not have enough time to list all of the things they have doneI am just going to list the most importantThis company set us up with two employees that during the course of the estimate, both were suspended/firedThis was due to missing appointments, not returning calls, one man even during his suspension recommended a different company to do the work instead of AdamsThen an hour later he was "unsuspended" and tried to continue with the contract for Adams....I contacted the owner, and you would think working with the owner directly would make things smoother, but he played dumb or literally did not know what was going on with his employees/his customers situationThis was the last straw and we declined to do business with AdamsIt has been two weeks since then and in that time I have been harassed with phone calls from multiple people, and emails trying to get me to come back to do business with themThey are sending me emails with contracts for me to sign over and overI called them, I emailed them and still this occursThis company is not organized, it took two months to get an estimate put together only for us to fire them..Only now is my house getting the care it needsIf I had the option to provide a negative -rating....I would Do not trust this company

I was struggling to find a professional and responsive company until I contacted Adams Restoration
Shane was exceptional as he walked me through the exact process and I could always get him on phone, which is surprising because he is the ownerVery Responsive!!!!!
The Crew did an amazing job of setting up containment only where it is needed and they were very empathetic towards any inconvenience that may have been caused In fact, they went out of their way to ensure that we have a working kitchen before the weekend because we have kids
It is without any hesitancy that I recommend these guys to family, friends and others who ask

To Whom It May Concern,his letter is in reference to complaint ID# ***Adams Disaster and Restoration went to *** *** home to look over the damage of the shower.Adams informed *** ***, that just to demo the shower would be around $and could actually be more depending on
if there was more damage than what was visible to the eye*** *** had stated that he was concerned about moldAdams did not know if there was mold growth until we could see itAdams estimate for was just for the demoIt was not for mold cleanupOnce the tile was being taken off, Adams could see the mold growthAdams told *** *** that there was mold growth and he was aware and approved it to be taken care ofHis insurance would not cover mold and or covered the shower because it was considered a maintenance issueAdams would not have proceeded if *** *** had asked us not toAdams follows Standard procedures that are required to do our job correctlyAdams did not just do this job without approvalAdams added an air scrubber because of the mold growthAnytime there is mold there is an air scrubber put on the jobThis is especially done for health reasons and mostly when there are small children and elderlyAgain, *** *** knew what we were doingIt helps when there is insurance coverage, because the cost of using this equipment is not cheapAdams billed *** *** a fair price*** *** knew what was being done*** *** did give us a check down for the that he knew he would owe.*** *** also stated that he did not hire Adams to do the complete jobThis is correctAdams was only hired to do the demo and mold growthAdams was notasked to do the rebuildAdams was under the impression that *** *** did not want to pay for the work that had been done and he was not going to have us dothe rebuildAdams considered our job as completed. Adams can assure *** *** that we are not a scamWe have been in business for several yearsWe have been with the Revdex.com for several years, also, and with an A+ ratingWe have an exceptionally large volume of workThere are a lot of people who use our services because they trust usWe go by Industry Standards and use Insurance pricing and Insurance backs our jobsAdams takes great pride in what we do and go the extra to make sure our customers are taken care of. Been trying to get a new bathroom done in my homeWork started on it on March 19, Today is May 2, and it is not yet doneI am writing today because after waiting almost a week for an appointment for them to come out and work on ;my bathroom and got a call just now saying that another job came up so they are cancelling tomorrows work day on my house
To top it all off on the phone just now the girl on the phone called me "sir" on the phone timesWhen I am upset, I know my voice deepens, but I corrected the girl twice that I was the lady of the house and she just said, "yes sir, I understand" and continued with sir
I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy

Adams D and R has been a great company to work with Shane helped us work through all of our restoration needs and went above and beyond with his team to provide some good customer service
At times the restoration was a pain and having a renter in the house made it that much harder Adams helped us work through all the issues and try to make the restoration process as easy as possible

Absolutely recommending Adams Disaster and Restoration to anyone who's looking to get the best job done! The staff was very friendly and professional and communication to ensure the best service has been greatly appreciated

Insurance water damage claimBusiness billed incorrect hours/scope of work to insurance company and Insurance company then negociated the amount owedThis was settled and agreed upon by insurance company and Adams D&RInsurance paid full sum to Homeowner (Fendell) who acted as General Contractor and oversaw all workAdams D&R failed to show as promised, twice, to perform work (remove flooring) and Fendell had to spend several hours managing this particular trade (water mitigation) and this justifies Overhead and Profit to be retained by FendellAdams D&R billed for dry out work with Overhead and Profit going to Adams D&R - Fendell retained this O&P as he was acting GC overseeing the trade of dryoutAdams accepted this payment and cashed checkTHEN LATER Adams D&R issues Accounts Receivable invoice of Absestos testing - which was paid in full by personal check at the onset of the testing

Adams came in to my house for an insurance job over months ago and they still haven't finished the job I have had to file a complaint with the ROC and since then they have been back here to fix all of their issues in doing so they have made my home even worse than it was before I have dealt with them for over months the stress alone is enough to kill someone I have been lied to overcharged and I still don't have my kitchen back after attempts of making it right in my opinion this business has absolutely no reason to exist judging from the number of complaints filed against them absolutely no one should use them and I am very sorry that I did with that being said my home is in complete disrepair with no end in sight like I said before it has been over months since this began

Very prompt and professional!
I recently bought my home and one day after taking a shower in the upstairs bathroom I went into my downstair bedroom and noticed some water dripping from the ceilingI called my home warranty company and they sent out two really shady guysThe warranty guys were clueless and really not helpful at all - basically they told me that it's probably not the drain and that is all they would coverI was about to throw them out when they recommended Adams D&R
Two guys from Adams showed up like minutes later and compared to the home warranty guys they were a breath of fresh airThe Adams guys were well-dressed and professional, they used some high-tech gear to look through the walls and see where the water was leakingThey wrote up a professional quote and laid out everything for me and they even contacted my insurance company to help me submit a claim
In the end, my insurance company denied my claim so I didn't have any work done, but my shower is still broken - fortunately, I have two other bathrooms! ;)
I'm low on funds because of a recent home purchase, but when I have the funds...I'll call Adams to get the work done because I feel confident that they would get the job done *right* and *fast* and when you have water damage you want the repairs done correctly or you'll just end up in the same situation again

I was referred to Adams Disaster and Restoration July when a pipe broke in my bathroom While they were quick to come out to dry out the bathroom and pull everything out, they took their time on restoring my bathroom Many calls of saying someone was coming out to perform work and I would either take off of work or work from home, but no one would show up and without a heads up until I called them This went on for over a month Mind you, I live in a one bedroom condo and this was my only bathroomFinally the ball began rolling and my bathroom started being restored...but with very unprofessional workers who had no idea what they were doing It appeared Adams was short staffed so they would pull workers from other jobs to satisfy the customers who were complaining about work not being done Then workers would show up not even knowing what they were doing My drywall had to be redone because it was attempted by someone who had no idea what they were doing...it was lumpy...who wants lumpy walls?? And the same guy installed my tile...afterwards he tells me it was his first tiling jobWell, I can tell you, it definitely looked that way My grout is crumbling and coming up...the tile isn't cut straight, a one piece is even crackedThey wanted to send someone out to fix it; however, with the experience I've had with them, I want no more of their cheap unprofessional laborers to step one foot in my home So they claim began in mid-July and ended in SeptemberNow they say I owe more money Well, I cut corners on the vanity, etc so they definitely pocketed a lot of money They won't send me an itemized bill for what I owe, they just keep hounding me for payment over the phoneI am now dealing with my insurance to have this resolved Please do not ever use Adams Disaster and Restoration, Inc...they are a nightmare to deal with and do horrible work

Back in July we got a call from our neighbors stating that water was coming out of our front door while we were out of the country, on vacation, in England Turns our water heater had bursted and since nobody was watching our home it had leaked for several hours, causing a tremendous amount of water damage to the entire bottom floor of our home Getting a call like this was extremely stressful, especially being in another country, however Adams D&R made things quite a breeze for us, as they handled everything from helping us three way call our insurance company, to attending the adjuster meeting, to the final repair and everything in between The office staff sent us photos and updates daily via email to show us the damages and the progress of the repairs, the technicians were able to get everything covered by our insurance so we only had to pay our deductible out of pocket, simply everything went extremely smooth and they were able to handle everything for us without us being there, making our vacation as relaxing as possible and keeping my mind at ease that my home was being taken care of in good hands We just got home on Friday after being gone for a month and a half and I could not be more thrilled with the outcome At first it seemed like a nightmare having this occur while we were out of the country, not being physically present to handle the issue, however now that I think of it, this couldn't have happened at a better time as we did not have ;live in the home during the remediation, however I don't think this would have been the case if we weren't lucky with our choice of choosing Adams D&R for our home restoration Thanks a billion, you guys are awesome!

Adams provided outstanding work!!!! They were prompt, professional, reliable and trustworthyWhat I loved most was their customer service, they were always available and responsiveI had George's (the project managers) cell phone numberIf I ever had a question regarding the work being done or regarding the billing I knew that I could count on Shane and George to answer my questions immediately
The other thing that I thought was wonderful was that they took care of the entire job from start to finist was super helpful not having to work with multiple companiesGeorge arranged all of the specialty companies and coordinated everything for usThis really exceeded all levels of satisfactionIt allowed our days to continue as typical as they were before the floodGeorge really went above and beyond anyone elseHe helped us with additional items outside of his scope of work with no hesitation which was absolutely amazing
Overall I was extremely impressed with the quality of work that they providedWe highly recommend Adams and would most definitely use them again
