ADT billed me for over years without providing serviceWhen notified, ADT is only willing to credit years
I called with an issue on my account and learned that the account was not active and had not been for yearsHowever, ADT had continued to bill me, $quarterlyWhen I contacted ADT, I spoke with a Steven at the corporate levelSteven assured me that ADT would assess and rectify the situation and sent a field worker to my house (5/26)The worker informed me that the account had not been active since He stated there would have to be a new installSteven did not call back, so I attempted to contact himI heard from him a week later at which time he had little informationHe started his conversation stating that it is essentially the customer's responsibility to know that the system is not active (6/2)Steven contacted me the following Monday to let me know that he was waiting to hear back from his manager on what ADT could to do helpDuring our conversation

I wanted to transfer service when I moved and the charge increased 400% once I moved
I moved on the 19th of June from my rental house at XXXX XXnd ave north in St Petersburg to a house I just bought at XXXX XXth st north also in StPetersburg Fl I had called and arranged thru ADT to move my service from the rental house to my purchased house I was assured at the time of scheduling that the charge would be around $200, same as the original installation cost at the rental house I agreed and scheduled for the service to be done within the week ADT hired Defenders Protect Your Home to come out and do the installation During my talk with Defenders about my security needs at my house, which was the exact needs and equipment that I had at the rental house I was moving from and this information was also given at the time I ordered the service address change, the salesman suddenly raised the price from approximately $to over $payable once the equipment was installedI dec

ADT IS THE WORSE SERVICE YOU WILL EVER RECEIVEASIDE FROM THEM TELLING YOU ONE FEE THE CONTRACT STATES ANOTHERALSO THEY "EMAILED" THE CONTRACT TO A DIFFERENTE MAIL ADDRESS THAN I HAD PROVIDED AND NOW THE MONTHLY FEE IS WAY HIGHER THAN I WAS QUOTED! EVERYTIME I CALL THEY TRANSFER ME AND ARE NOT ABLE TO ASSIST WITH MY ISSUEI WANT TO CANCEL THE SERVICE AND THEY ADVISED ME I'M OVER THE DAY PERIOD FOR CANCELLINGOF COURSE I AM SINCE I NEVER RECEIVED THE CONTRACT!!!!!!! WORSE COMPANY EVERSAVE YOUR MONEY

My wife and I are from NH and just purchased a home in FloridaWe saw an add for ADT security so we put a call inI was connected to an agent and we proceeded to talk about the security that would work for meI was told by the agent (Angle) that we could set up a time to meet the service guy to talk and complete the deal and I told her that we were just down till Friday and she told me that she could have someone meet us that Thursday afternoon and if we liked what he was showing us we could finish up the deal and have the new system installed that dayI was told the technicians carry everything they need in there vehiclesShe set the time for the following day and then proceeded to ask for my credit card info and I was told this was needed before the technician came out but nothing would be used until we signed the contractThen I was put on hold for a few minutes to confirm the time and when she got back on the phone she told me that time slot was takenI told her that we were flying out and told her to cancel anything she had started because we wanted to be there when it was installed and she refused and would not take no for an answerShe was telling me we could wait till we came back down but I told her that I would just re-initiate the call but that still did not workShe was really getting upset and yelling at me so I told her flat out to stop anything that she started and I hung up because I was so upset at the way I was treatedMy wife told me the next day to check my credit card statement and she did run the money through although it was pendingI called my credit card company and told them I was disputing this chargeI will never recommend or use this company at all after being treated like this

NEVER EVER use ADT! They are incompetent, dishonest, and will take your money for doing nothing We have had a disastrous experience with them and have filed a complaint with Revdex.com and NY StateWe gave them nearly $as a deposit to begin installation of a complete security system (locks, cameras, alarms)It took them months to get someone to start the work, and then the people they sent (we found out later were all subcontractors) had no idea how to do the work, brought broken and defective equipment, were never able to install locks even after many visits by locksmiths, and often kept us waiting for hours for people who came late or never showed up at allThe stress of living in NYC without locks on our doors was incredibleWe called and called, talked to schedulers, sales reps, supervisors, were kept on hold for hoursWe finally gave up on them, bought our own locks and had them installed by a local locksmithNo other security system working at this timeIt has taken us weeks to cancel our service with ADT (they make it nearly impossible to cancel), again lots of calls on hold for hours, and now ADT is refusing to refund us the nearly $we paid for service and equipment we never receivedADT should be put out of businessThey are de-frauding customersSomething is deeply wrong with this companyYou can install your own security system-- and save yourself a lot of stress and loss of money

Iaposve been blown off times in a row waiting for a technician to come to the service addressI have an SRO property that needs the fire system verifiedThis absolutely insulting and ridiculous to be blown off like thisWith a name like ADT you would think this company would have some level of professionalismI just want them to show up at the time they agreed to so I can get this over with

Don't get ADT They didn't call the police while we were burglarized until after my husband did It was too late then They left a message on our audible machine that they didn't call the police yet, letting the burglars know Then they tried to charge us for fixing our alarm, which did not work as an audible alarm and yet it was supposed to They never returned our monthly fees either, nor did they apologize Terrible service!!!

We sold our house and are now renting We cannot use them in this rental ADT originally told us that we had to pay a cancellation fee of $but kept billing Now I find out they never cancelled the account and say we have to pay 75% of our total contract for full years, into even though they are not providing any services to us How can they continue to charge us when we have no way to use them and they are not providing any service? Echoing what others have indicated: ADT is not helpful of appreciative to long-term customers After receiving rate increases of 33% above my initial contract monthly charges and not complaining, I called to cancel my service, only to be told that I will incur another month's charge since it takes ADT days to inactivate an account After speaking with a cancellation specialist, billing specialist, and billing supervisor, I was told that there is nothing to be done about this extraneous charge as it is part of their policy that is written into their contract Upon signiwith ADT, the installers/customer services reps didn't indicate that disconnection is not as streamlined as installation, which can occur in one business day for residential customers I will never use ADT again, nor would I recommend them to friends or family

ADT is nowhere to be found when you have actual emergency and the alarm goes off An intruder set my ADT house alarm off, and ADT didn't even phone me for minutes to see what the problem was Meanwhile I was scared, ran to the street for safety There, I called ADT customer service, which hung up on me Got a neighbor to help me instead When I complained to ADT later that week, it never investigated its own service failure, endangering customers ADT's only response is to threaten more fees if you cancel

This place is the biggest joke of allFor the last months we have been trying to cancel automatic payments, because they auto drafted payments in one monthEvery time we've called they claim that they have removed us from auto payments, but to our surprise they auto draft the payment at the end of the monthI will never and I mean never renew or use ADT again in my life timeAll they want is your money and that's all they care about!!!!
