inconvenience this caused our customer. We see that the rebate was for up to a
$40 gift card back if the customer bought two sets of Platinum pads and rotors. 
Unfortunately, our customer’s rebate was denied because he purchased a
set of Gold brake pads.  Due to the opportunity received, we will be
mailing our customer a $20 gift card to the address provided as a one-time
courtesy.  Mr. [redacted] can be expecting it
in the mail in 7-10 business days.

It is always important to follow consumer protection rights laws as those laws are geared to safeguard buyers of merchandise from inappropriate conduct. In this instance, you can reference [redacted]Advanced Auto / [redacted] does appear to have the proper return policy in place. Perhaps ensuring employees are aware of corporate policy will help prevent this type of incidence.I was able to return the $2.95 part at a different location from where I bought it and I appreciate that store's quick response.Regards,

I do not accept the business' claim that the damage caused was due to mechanic error.  I have a written statement from [redacted] that [redacted] (mechanic inspection #[redacted]), owner and lead mechanic,personally torqued the axle nut at 177 ft. lbs. this was also witnessed by my son who was there at the time of the repair. This man has been in business for 35 years, he is not just a back yard mechanic.  If this had been the first defective hub bearing assembly we purchased and this had happened I imay have been inclined to believe their claim but due to the fact that we had experienced this part failing numerous other times and the fact that the store agreed the part was defective I do not except their claim. Also, I have since read through complaints about this part on their website and have found others who have suffered the same or similar issues when this part was installed in their vehicle. Mr. [redacted]. It turns out there was a misunderstanding between the Team Member who assisted Mr. [redacted] when he came to pick up the part. The part was in fact at the store then and still was today, 7/26/2016, during my conversation with District Manager [redacted]. DM [redacted] and Mr. [redacted] spoke about the issue at length and DM [redacted] apologized for the issue and advised he would make sure a problem of this nature does not take place again. We were informed that when the conversation ended that Mr. [redacted] was happy due to him having already bought a part elsewhere. We will consider the issue resolved unless Mr. [redacted] could use further assistance regarding this matter. The customer having to wait 24-72 hours is inconsiderate given that you advise them order can be picked up as soon as 30 minutes. Finally, please do not insult me with your 20% discount, and focus on your larger consumer population by working to resolve the terrible customer service that you extend to those who shop in your stores and online.
