WELL, I PAID OVER $4OOO FOR EXTRACTIONS AND THEIR "NEW DENTURE WEARERS" PROGRAM--FOR THE LEAST EXPENSIVE FINAL DENTURES. MY TREATMENT LAST A FEW MONTHS SHORT OF 1 YR. I HAVE TO SAY THAT IT WAS A HORRIBLE DENTAL EXPERIENCE. THEIR ONLY SAVING GRACE AND I MEAN "ONLY" WAS A YOUNG FEMALE ASSISTANT NAMED VALERIE OF WHICH I ONLY GOT TO SEE TWICE I BELIEVE. SHE TREATED ME WITH SINCERITY AND RESPECT. SHE LISTENED TO ME WITH COMPASSION AND DID HER ABSOLUTE BEST TO RESOLVE MY ISSUES. THE OTHERS---WELL BEGINNING

WITH THE EXTRACTIONS WHERE I WAS TOTALLY BRUTALIZED THEY WERE RUDE AND UNCARING, MADE ME FEEL INFERIOR AND EMBARRASSED BECAUSE I HAD BAD TEETH...LIKE IT WAS "MY" FAULT..LIKE THEY WERE LOOKING DOWN ON ME...IT WAS SO STRANGE, BUT IT REALLY AFFECTED ME. I WAS SUCH AN UNIMPORTANT "NOBODY" TO THEM...THATS HOW THEY MADE ME FEEL! THEY WERE DEFENSIVE WHEN MY TEETH DIDN'T WORK AND ADJUSTMENTS HAD TO BE MADE...THEY SCOLDED ME SAYING IT WAS MY FAULT BASICALLY AND NOT THEIRS. I WASN'T BLAMING ANYONE I JUST WANTED THEM TO FIT. WELL IT ALL BECAME CRYSTAL CLEAR WHEN I GOT MY FINAL PAIR OF DENTURES..ITS WHEN THEY COME IN TO GIVE THEIR "UPGRADE" PITCH TO GET YOU SEE WHAT THE BETTER SET WOULD LOOK LIKE. I'M NOT SURE BUT IT SOUNDED LIKE THEY HAD ALREADY MADE THEM..AND IF I SAW THEM I WOULD WANT THEM!! HA HA THATS JUST GREEDY AND EVIL, ESPECIALLY SINCE I COULD NO WAY AFFORD THEIR "UN-AFFORDABLE" DENTURES!!! ONCE THEY HEARD I HAD NO MONEY POOF THEY WERE GONE ON TO THE NEXT SUCKER...I BELIEVE THEY MADE 2 ADJUSTMENTS AND WHEN I ASKED FOR A THIRD I WAS TOLD, THIS TOTALLY CRACKED ME UP, HE SAID " THE DENTURES ARE MADE IN LINE WITH THE NATURAL CONTOUR OF THE GUMS" OK I THOUGHT ..DUH..."BUT HEY STUPID... THEY AREN'T WORKING"! THEY NEVER CAME BACK IN SAID GOODBYE..OR NOTHING... OH..AS I WAS LEAVING HE SAID IN PASSING I HAD 60 DAYS TO COME BACK AND MAKE ADJUSTMENTS!!!( SCREW THAT...I KNOW HOW TO USE A DREMIL). IN THE END.. THEY NEVER EVEN GAVE ME A MIRROR TO LOOK AT MY TEETH AND FOR $4000 I WAS ALLOWED TO WALK OUT OF THEIR OFFICE WITH WHITE CRAP ALL OVER MY FACE! THEY SHOULD CLOSE THE SCHOOL THAT GAVE THIS WOMAN HER DENTAL DEGREE! SHE HAS A HORRENDOUS CHAIR SIDE MANOR (IF ANY AT ALL ) AND IS BASICALLY NOTHING SHORT OF A CHARLATAN!

IN CLOSING I MUST SAY I FEEL SO EXTREMELY STUPID FOR TRUSTING THEM AND NOT RESEARCHING THEM ON THIS SITE PRIOR TO SEEING THEM. THANKS FOR LISTENING.

Review: Affordable Dentures Yakima Wa. [redacted], DMD, P.C.4 hours, many shots at least 50 put me in shock and no pain relief. One shot clear into my sinus. Didn't try pulling the top 7 teeth, busted them then dug the roots out, lots of bone damage. Swelling into my sinus makes it difficult to breathe, 11 months later and no relief.Bottom jaw has no problems, 7 teeth, he pulled them without breaking them. Sent me home to come back later in the day to get my teeth, I spent the rest of the day over the sink with blood and mucus pouring from my mouth and in severe shock and pain. Came back a few days later and receive teeth that did not fit. Tried to deal with them for a few months, went back and they were very rude blamed me for waiting too long.With much argument from the staff and an up close, in your face encounter with [redacted] he made me another set that fit a little better but could not bite anything and could not chew up food. I went back to see if they would fix that and what I got was a pat on the back and told that they were just for looks. Can anyone here help.I am going to have to go to an oral surgeon to repair my upper jaw and he still has my money for the second set of teeth that I do not want from him ([redacted]). This man needs stopped very hatful and angry Dr..Can anyone help? I am [redacted] at [redacted]Desired Settlement: $2610. refund and pay for the oral surgeon. Plus pain suffering.

Review: I purchased a full set of dentures. I cannot even close my mouth and my top lip protrudes extensively. I have to manually pull my top lip over my top dentures to get my mouth to close. I cannot chew right and can barely eat any foods at all. The dentures do not fit right or look anywhere near normal. The assistant would not allow me to see the dentist or the office manager. The dentist needed to see how the dentures did not fit correctly. They said I would have to purchase another set in a year and would not help me. I am a senior citizen on disability aged 69 years old. I really need my dentures. I had to borrow the money to even get the dentures, now I can't really use them. Please help me. I need the dentist to look at these dentures and fix them. The dentures have always been lopsided. When you sit them on the table one side is a lot higher than the other. They did put a liner in the dentures and that is what made it protrude out too far. I have friends and relatives who all say that it doesn't look right at all, very very bad.Desired Settlement: I would like the top dentures to fit correctly and be replaced so I can eat, and would like them to not protrude out so far that it looks like I have botox injections, I look ridiculous. I cannot afford to get new ones again. Not being able to eat is affecting my overall health and am concerned.

To Whom It May Concern:If patient is not happy with her dentures, I am willing to give a full refund of $445 which was the cost of Economy dentures that she purchased. I do not know how she came up with $550, Patient does not seem to understand that in order to satisfy patients concerns, a new set of dentures is needed, for her first set was a temporary set she had multiple teeth pulled and dentures were inserted on the same day. Patient signed all necessary consent forms knowing that she will need to have another set made after complete healing at her own expense. Nevertheless, refund will be granted.Sincerely,

Review: I went to Affordable Dentures to purchase a new full set of dentures. During the process of making the dentures they showed them to me in a wax like setting. I was given very little time to actually go over the look of the teeth and the feel in my mouth. The teeth at that time looked straight while in my mouth. At no point did any of the staff explain to take my time in determining the fit and function of the new dentures. After I returned home with the new set of dentures I noticed that the teeth were set crooked in my mouth and that the denture's teeth were not evenly set into the acrylic. The left side teeth are impacted into the acrylic deeper than on the right side. I called and scheduled an appointment to have an adjustment made to the dentures as they are still noticeably slanted. Both the dental assistant and Dr. [redacted] were rude to me when I explained the situation and that I would like the set I have fixed. After examining the dentures, Dr. [redacted] told me that I was being picky and petty over the look of the teeth and that I signed a form agreeing to the look of the teeth before they were set into acrylic. I told him that I liked the set of dentures that was made and wanted the dentures to be fixed, but Dr. [redacted] told me that he could only give me a refund and did not bother to offer any other solutions. I again told him that I would like them fixed and I was within the 60 day satisfaction guarantee. Dr. [redacted] then proceeded to walk away with the dentures and I explained that I still needed the dentures and that a refund was unsatisfactory. A refund does me no good as I require my dentures for my daily business and social interactions and for my overall health and well being.

I feel like I am in a "no-win" situation here. This patient was not happy with her new dentures, and I felt that I could not do any more to help her, so I offered a full refund! Nobody rushed her to sign a wax try-in consent form. If she felt that she was rushed, she should not have signed it!

I just think the patient is so used to her old worn-out dentures that she is having difficulty adjusting to her new dentures. Again, refund will be honored until end of December.

Review: Current plate has an underbite making it difficult to eat and speak properly. I am a waitress, I need to be able to speak properly. I am also having a problem with my back, and teeth are interfering with healing. New plate was made improperly and eating and speaking problems are worse.Desired Settlement: I would like my money back because the plates are useless. They can have them back if they want.

Review: I went to office on 5/2 to gt a partial denture. The denture fit tight the first time he put them n my mouth he adjusted them 5x untill they were too loose gt mad and told me to try it and if they were still loose Monday call back. I did and came back today 5/14 to see about getn them tighter. Dr lee was nasty and rude said that was as gud as it gts. I said well I will learn to live with that but needed the one side that was sharp adjusted. He rudley grabed them up went out of the room and didn't nt return. A nurse came in and said let's go up front I said well were are my teeth. Dr [redacted] refuse to return my teeth that I paid for and only refunded me a portion of my money. I waisted 100 in gas going ther 2x and he was really nasty and rude to me. I can not believe a dentist would throw away my teeth with out given me the option of. May 30, 2014Dear [redacted]:An upper partial denture was made for [redacted] on 5/214. She returned ) days later with a complaint of her partial" being too loose. I could not make it any tighter. We asked her to use some denture adhesives, but she refuses. Her resporise was that its gotta fit better than that.” At this point, I decided to give her refund because she was not happy and she had unrealistic expectations out of an acrylic partial denture. The cost of the partial denture is $315 and it was credited back to her credit card. The cost of ray is $80, and the x ray was given to the patient so she can use it when she goes to her general dentist. The office visit charge was waived. Implants will be the best treatment option for this patient

Review: ON 7 /10/2014 I went to affordable dentures of wilkes barre Pa. I was seen by [redacted] man who did not identify himself as a dr. , I later learned this was in fact supposed to be a dr.travis p[redacted], he proceeded to do a very short exam and began the process of making molds for my dentures.I was told when done that I should call in about a week and then told I could pay in full $1,405.00 and leave. I called to check on the progress of my paid in full purchase on 7/22/2014 and was treated rudely by the person who answered the phone and laughed at when I asked about my purchase. I asked if she thought it was funny and she replied yes and implied I was stupid to call so soon and it would takes weeks.I informed her that the only info I had been given was to call in a week and this was that call. she hung up un me.I called back and requested to speak to her superior at which time laughed and said she was the office manager and I would only be speaking to her . I asked her her name and she told me laura , as it turns out her name was amy gurns . over her repeated hang up tried to find out the process for making a complaint to her corporate office. she refused to supply the information and kept hanging up on me. through research I was able to get a 1 800 phone number for the home office and called it . after some conversation I was referred to a virginia h[redacted] . after listening to my complaint this virginia said she was concerned by there actions and would take care of this for me. when virginia next called me she indirectly insulated that I should do business else were with out flatly stating that I could not continue with my purchase or to do business at the wilkes barre office. the call ended.I then recieved several calls from amy gurns telling me that my wax molds were ready and I could come and be fitted for the finished product , a process that I had not been informed of at my initial visit or in any other phone conversations with anyone involved to this point the conversations and repeated hang ups by this person soon deteriorated to a cat and mouse game of her offering me appointment times and then rescinding the offer when I agreed to the offered time . she then told me to come up on monday morning the 28 th of july and I would be seen at 9;00. shortly after this call ended amy gurns called me yet again to tell me that I had to come up on 7/23/2014 at 8;00 . I informed her that I had made an appointment and that was the one I would keep and I was no longer interested in any more calls from her and they would be treated as harassment.between that time and 9;00 7/28/14 no one contacted me in any manor to inform me that I would not be seen as a patient so I went to my paid in full , per arranged appointment only to be told that I would not be seen and a refund would be issued but it would take a very very long time I requested to speak to whoever was in charge and was told I could wait but the police had been called about me .. so I left
