I am rejecting this response because: I asked that the system be repaired and when the "solution" was unbearable, I asked that  the equipment  be removed.  Neither has been accomplished.  After paying what I thought was last bill I found the company was still withdrawing money from my checking account for 3-4 months.  I don't have the money to pay for time remaining on contract I tried to cancel; I'm now and have been for the past 9 months, trying to pay for nursing home care for my wife.  I'm 90 years old and can no longer afford to worry about my credit rating--I have to take care of my first priority--my wife.  I'd just like the harassment to stop!

We have contacted Mr. [redacted] via email and updated him regarding the status of our investigation. We will continue to keep him updated.

December 8, 2017RE:  [redacted] To the Revdex.com, We have responded to Ms. [redacted]’s request and this will be the 4th time we’ve done so. We have decided not to cancel the contract at this time. As a gesture of goodwill we have cleared her past due balance of $90.93, given her 2 months of service at no charge, and reduced her monthly rate from $44.99 to $34.99.  Could you please make sure this is for "[redacted]" and not someone named "[redacted] " as stated in their response?  Also I need the refund of the $15.18. They can pick pick up the equipment anytime. Just let me know ahead of time so I can be sure I'm home to give it to them.

I am rejecting this response because:There was a blatant disregard in the response/answer regarding my complaint from this company. How is it that they state that each time someone calls they are told they have the wrong number, when I have identified several reps within my statement? Someone is NOT being truthful here. Whenever someone calls which is anywhere between 4-8 times a day and no messages are left. First the calls have caller Id identifying its self as Alden and then directly afterwards they call again but this time the number identifies as an unknown number. I do feel like this is unnecessary and harassment. Please cease and desist. Each time I speak with someone they are questioning me about my bill and payment. I keep saying over and over again THAT I DO NOT WANT TO DO business with this company but no one in giving me a response to that. I DO NOT WANT THIS ALARM SYSTEM UNSTALLED IN MY HOME ANYMORE PLEASE COME PICK UP THE EQUIPMENT.

I am rejecting this response because:I sent in a letter to cancel at the end of the contract with signature required, I have the receipt that you accepted the letter.  I also sent emails and called the number.  Once the contract was cleared up this account should have been closed immediately.  I called last week and the person who answered said that the renewal was still in place, so you did not cancel the renewal as you seem to indicate here.  Only after my opening another complaint with the Revdex.com has anything been done.  I spoke with a representative yesterday who said they still can't close my account without yet more paperwork.  I am not going to close this until the account is actually closed and my money refunded.  When you treat customers like this, they tend to get upset on the phone.  Treat customers with respect if you want the same in return.

I am rejecting this response because:I have documentation that shows I gave them more then the required 30 day notice time to cancel the service (in Writing).They did however refund the august payment they drafted, but sent me a form to fill out to finalize the cancellation but said I still owe58.00 plus dollars to completed it. I signed the document but stated on said document that I did not owe the money and the account must be closed.

complaint and the customer is repeatedly referred to as “homeowner.” We have tried reaching Ms. [redacted] to discuss this issue but have been unsuccessful. All of this could have been avoided if the reps had followed thru 2 months ago.  Hopefully, things will be better going forward.

September 11, 2017RE:  [redacted] and [redacted] To the Revdex.com,  Thank you for contacting us. Mr. [redacted] originally signed with us on 2/20/2012 and he renewed his agreement on 6/17/2016. Our concern with this complaint is that it is being filed more than a year after...

the renewal took place. We are also confused with the allegation that we acquired the renewal by masquerading as [redacted]. Why would we pretend to be another company to someone who already had done business with us for the previous four years and how would we know the customer had an [redacted] alarm at another address? I am rejecting this response because: This company response is not true.  First of all, I was blindsided by the company's representative who took advantage of a Senior Citizen.  My daughter made contact to this company by phone and mail regarding this expensive monthly bill and contract.  Why would I change my Alarm company when my monthly bill was cheaper than this company and I own my equipment.  My daughter called and told them that I was moving out of State and plans to sale the house.  I have no need for a move fee to be waived when my daughter already has an Alarm company.  Why should I pay for something when I am not planning to live there.  I am requesting for this service to be discontinue immediately.

                During a recorded phone call, prior to the
installation,...

we explained to Mr. [redacted] that Alder was not affiliated with
Vivint in any way and that Vivint was still in business, and if he proceeded he
would be receiving new services through Alder. Mr. [redacted] agreed to proceed on
condition that we pay the remaining balance with Vivint should there be any.
Once we receive a final bill we will issue a check to Mr. [redacted] for that amount
so that he can satisfy his balance with Vivint. Also, as a sign of good faith,
we are willing to reduce Mr. [redacted] monthly monitoring rate from $[redacted] to $[redacted]
and forgive his past due balance. Please respond as to whether this is an
acceptable arrangement.
