Review: claim number is 28[redacted]4

On 10/19/2015 I was involved in a car accident. I was dropping something off at a friends house and in the 2 minutes I was there, his neighbor backs out of the driveway, doesn’t see my car and hits me. We exchanged information and got on with our lives as I had to get to school. I had a rental car for 16 days. If you do the math thats over 38 days.

For the first 22 days I was basically trying to get ahold of C[redacted]. I called her and left her a voicemail. She called me when I was in class and left me a voicemail saying it was imperative for her to get in touch with me. At this point I was happy to get the process going an called her right back after I got out of class and of course she did not pick up so I left her another message. I literally called her twice a day for the next 7 days and kept leaving messages. The day I was going to take my car in to get everything started I got a call from some lady who was going to do the estimate on the damages on my car from your company. It took about a week and a half for C[redacted] to tell me I can take my car in. While on the phone with her I decided to get her to email me the paperwork as waiting for her to mail me the paperwork would take another week and getting ahold of her is probably harder then finding a T-Rex in your backyard. She emailed me everything and I took my car in to get everything started. I finally got my car back the day before Thanksgiving. At this point I was happy to get my car back and just needed to get my reimbursement for my rental and I would be on with my happy life. I emailed C[redacted] a picture of the total $694.40 and waited for my check.

The reason for my email today is the fact that I received my reimbursement check today in the mail and it was NOT $694.40. It was $520.80. Immediately I emailed C[redacted] about the discrepancy and her immediate response was “we pay for the rental and taxes not the being under age and taxes on that.” That was never mentioned to me (I'm 24 yrs old).Desired Settlement: All I want is to have the remaining $173.60 provided to me so I can carry on with my life.

Also, someone please talk to C[redacted] as she has made this experience the worst possible experience I have ever had. So frustrating, especially during holidays when one is supposed to be happy.

Dear Mr. C[redacted],Please review the last line of our email to you dated Monday, November 09, 2015 2:50 PM: From: Cynthia Sixta [Alliance United - Claims] Sent: Monday, November 09, 2015 2:50 PM To: 'personal' Subject: RE: 281594 I have sent you payment $1598.69 for the initial damages and a copy of the estimate has been sent to you as well. You can take your vehicle to any shop you choose to have the repairs completed. You need to make sure that you take a copy of the initial estimate with you to the shop as we will only pay for the damages as listed in the initial estimate. Should the shop find any additional damages after they begin repairs, the shop needs to contact the appraiser for approval and a check will be sent direct to the shop for the additional damages. As far as your car rental, we do not have a direct relationship with any rental car companies. We pay for rental on a reimbursement basis only for the time needed for the repairs to be completed only. We will pay for a like vehicle and for rental and tax only. We do not pay for upgrades or insurance. C[redacted] Claims Adjuster Alliance United Insurance Company ###-###-#### EXT 6676 [redacted]@allianceunited.com

I am rejecting this response because:Although you did send payment of everything, you did NOT send payment of the $170 I am missing! It is not my fault I got hit by your driver when I was 24 years old. Why should I pay the "under 25 fee"? You are legally responsible for for my reimbursement of ALL DAMAGES.

I am rejecting this response because:Thats fine, the daily rate plus tax. The daily rate is the cost of the car plus the $10 a day for me being under 25. Youre telling me that you would be ok with paying $10 out of your pocket for an accident that was not your fault? This is ridiculous. We will let the judge decide on this I guess.

Review: A claim was filed with this company on July 10, 2015 when an insured customer of this company was involved in an accident with one of our company vehicles. We have been in contact several times with this company about compensating us for the damages to our vehicle. It has now been six months since the accident occurred and we still have not heard back from this company regarding payment for the damages. We were originally contacted by this company in August of 2015 stating that they were in process of collecting inf[redacted]tion from all parties involved. We attempted to contact this company later in the month and after leaving several messages for their "assigned representative", we finally contacted a supervisor by the name of E[redacted] who assured us that they were actively working to resolve this claim. We followed up again in September, then again in October, again trying to contact their assigned representative, N[redacted], again with no reply after several messages left. Once again we were able to get into contact with Supervisor E[redacted] in early October, who once again stated that they had no results and that they were working on the case. She stated that she would follow up with N[redacted] to find out why this has not been resolved. That was on October 16, 2015. We have patiently awaited a response from this company, to no avail. We have attempted several since then to contact this company. leaving several messages for both N[redacted] and E[redacted], to which there has been no reply. There was over $10,000.00 in damages to our company vehicle to which this company is not taking responsibility for resolving. According to the police report filed at the time of the accident, all responsibility is on the insured party, as it was determined that she was the "at fault" party.Desired Settlement: This company is an insurance carrier. Their client, aka the insured, lost control of her vehicle while driving and ran into the side of our company vehicle causing major damages. We seek financial retribution for the damages caused so that we may perform the repairs necessary to return the vehicle to service. All estimates for repairs have been submitted to this company for review on August 14, 2015.

I am rejecting this response because: This is the first attempt from this company to attempt to return my contacts to them. Until this matter is actually settled I wish to hold this claim in an unresolved status. It is quite precarious that for months I have been trying to contact this company to get results, but miraculously once I file a claim with the Revdex.com, they contact me back immediately?

Review: On 3/15/13, I called Alliance United Insurance and spoke to [redacted] with Upgrade Insurance who told me she is affiliated. She is the customer service center for Alliance United Insurance. She never stated she was a separate company or a Broker/Agent. We never discussed any additional fees only a free auto insurance quote. I provided her all accurate information about my drivers license/record and indicated I was unemployed. From 5/31/13-6/5/13, I needed to speak to her about my policy. She never returned any of my calls. 6/5/13, she finally answered her phone. I told her I was going to change my policy to just Liability. She said they do not pro-rate. She would call me back. She never called me back I finally contacted her again on 6/12/13. I find out she submitted wrong information. She submitted I have no license and she overcharged me a down-payment of $409. Jackie Martinez, Brenda Rodriguez(supervisor), and Wendy Paola(manager)with Upgrade Insurance tell me the money was given to Alliance United Insurance. I had a hard time speaking to anyone w/Alliance United. They immediately refer you to Upgrade Insurance. I finally spoke to Scarlett w/Alliance United, she told me the down-payment was only $74.67;monthly payments of $85.27 should be $48.00;and I was not given my "good drivers discount" of 20%. Scarlett told me that I would need to speak to Upgrade Insurance. Both companies are refusing to return my refund or phone calls. The policy was never valid it does not have correct information.Desired Settlement: I repeatedly asked for a full refund of $410.00 which is my difference. Since they have refused responsibility, invalid policy, I would like a full refund of $580.

Business

Response:

We received a down payment in the amount of $74.67 from the broker. The Fees charged by a broker are separate from premium payments made to Alliance United. The fees charged by the broker were listed on the new business auto application and signed by you. Please contact your broker direct to discuss the possibility of a refund for fees they charged to service your account.

The motor vehicle report we initially ran showed your driver's license was expired over 30 days and the policy was issued without the good driver discount. We were contacted by your broker in June 2013 to verify why you were not receiving the good driver discount. We were informed they had a current motor vehicle report showing your license was valid and not expired. We reviewed the information provided and even though your license was expired at the time of new business we agreed to make an exception and add the good driver discount from the policy inception. A credit in the amount of $86.04 was added to the policy.

The policy has been cancelled per your request and a refund was mailed to you on July 17, 2013.

Review: My wife got a car accident in November 2014, and the car was towed. By the first time my assigned agent, [redacted], called me and told me that I can only claime $50 reimbursement for what I paid for the pound, my car already stayed in the pound for 3 nights and I was required to pay $361 to get the car out.I emailed [redacted] with the receipt from the pound as he requested. Now it has been 4 months! I still have not received that reimbursement despite several reminders. If by any chance, $50 reimbursement for towing company is not covered in my policy, [redacted] should have told me that but he just dissappeared. He only emailed me about the appraiser for my car's damage 4 months ago, and I never heard from him after that. Now I would demand not just $50 but my total out-of-pocket payment of $361 for the pound reimbursed. I would not have paid that much if I had received the call from [redacted] immediately upon my initial report anyway.Desired Settlement: The reimbursement of $361 that I paid to a towing company to get my car out of the pound. If my assigned agent had contacted me immediately upon my report, I would not have waited so long until the pound costed me this much.

Review: On or about 22 June 2013, a vehicle insured by Alliance United was stolen from the registered owner of said vehicle. On 24 June 2013, vehicle was involved in a police pursuit with the San Diego County Sheriff, which resulted in a vehicle fire and crash on our property. The vehicle was totaled, and towed away shortly thereafter. The driver of the vehicle was a minor child, and was taken to the hospital and juvenile detention. We are the homeowners who sustained $2000 worth of property damage, and are unable to file a claim against our own homeowners insurance to cover the damage as the deductible is 1% of the property value, not 1% of the damage. Therefore, we have tried many times for the past few months unsuccessfully to contact Alliance to put in a claim for the damage, and have received no response.Desired Settlement: We would like to be paid a settlement of the amount we paid to repair the property damage. We have paid receipts to submit for repairing property damage. Thank you.

Review: Claim #2###50 [redacted] I was involved in an accident with a policy holder on October 20th.The driver claimed he would have the damage repaired and no police report was filed but backed out once he realized how expensive the parts were. One new headlight, alone, was $750. That wasn't the only damage. He still took no responsibility and we both decided to have insurance handle this. I met up with the other driver and called my insurance, I told them everything and got all of his info. A few days later my phone failed and lost all the pictures and info. I have progressive and they called me back saying that they got a hold of the other driver and have a transcript of him saying he made an illegal lane change without yielding to me and that is what caused the accident. They told me now all I have to do is file a property damage claim with them. I call and explain the situation with my phone and the car and I get attitude right away "how do you not have his info but your insurance does" "where did YOU hit the other driver". I found the paper and gave them the info they wanted. A few days later I get a call from them wanting to know my side of the story. I don't hear from them fit a while, so I call my insurance to see if they could help me out, voicemails are left, emails are sent out, and all he got was one voicemail to call them back. I finally get a call saying that the other driver is claiming that I went into his lane and I hit him. I told them about the transcript of the other driver saying that him attempting to go around me and not yielding and they immediately changed their attitude. They tell me someone is coming out and look at the damage within 24-48 hours. It was been two weeks.I haven't heard anything from them.Desired Settlement: Honestly, I want an appraiser of my choosing to come out and appraise my car, my car is not worth the $1900 kbb says it's worth. the car had over $3000 in modifications and you can't even find one locally for less than $3000 in the same condition with the Japanese front. I want the damages to be repaired or have the car replaced with a car in the same condition and I keep the old one and I would swap everything over. Or you can have someone else do it.

I am rejecting this response because:'ve made a complaint before but was closed for some reason when it hadn't been settled. I was involved in an accident and this insurance seems to be ignoring all of my calls and claiming that they call me back but I got all of my phone records and was only called twice. I was told, again, that the appraisor would contact me, again, and I waited a week and I still didnt get a call, again. I try and call but never get through, always getting voicemails. They make a minimum effort to try and contact you. I'm here almost 3 months later and and nothing has been done on their side. claim #2[redacted]50Make and effort and settle this alrady. It has been almost 3 months.

This is the worst experience I have ever had in my life with any insurance company. If you have a accident they DON'T help you very much. They take for ever to go through the process and they really really really don't care for you at all,all this people want is to screw you.

Review: On January 9, 2014, I was hit by one of their insured drivers. I am now into my sixth month trying to resolve the issue, and still do not have a car. They have admitted all liability and responsibility and just this week (after numerous phone calls to them, nagging them and trying to get this resolved) they have given me a ridiculously low settlement. There is no possible way that I can replace my vehicle with a used like vehicle. I am not interested in betterment, I just need a similar car to drive. I sent them numerous comps to my car, clearly showing the car is worth two to three times what they want to pay. It has been an extremely frustrating experience, as I have to continue to call in order to get anything moving. Six months seems like an unreasonably long time to be without resolution and without a vehicle to get to and from work. I was not at fault with this accident. Why should I have to end up with no vehicle, loss of incidentals (items in car just purchsed), towing costs, and then the inconvenience of finding another car, smogging it, and paying taxes again?Desired Settlement: I would like for Alliance to look at the comps that were sent to them, and give me a reasonable settlement so that I can purchase another like vehicle and become whole again. They should also include additional retribution for the loss of one day's work, groceries lost in the crash, other items that were lost in the accident (300 lbs, pig food, goat food, chicken food), the towing costs, and the costs incurred with purchasing, smogging, and paying for taxes again on another car.

I am rejecting this response because:

I have not kept all the receipts for work done on the car. I have sent you receipts already for items that were in the car, and the registration that was just paid in January prior to the accident, and the towing bill to get the car off the freeway. I sent Jun Gelvoria comps for similar cars. It is clear that the adjustor was comparing a stock jeep to this vehicle. It was not stock, it had a lift kit installed, new tires (indicated on the appraiser's report), custom bumpers, new seats installed (not noted by the adjuster, I might add), newly installed red line oil and an after market stereo. I don't want this to drag on any longer... we are in month SIX. Again, I am only wanting to be whole again, I am not aiming for betterment. I believe you can come up with a better settlement than what you have proposed.

Thank you.

Review: I was hit in my car by a Gentleman who is insured by this company, it has been 6 weeks since the accident, they say they have viewed my car and that it is a total loss. I would like this company and its representative to do their jobs and return my calls and pay the claim for their insured policy holders accident.I will be filling a complaint with the State of California's insurance Commissioner also if this does not get handled promptly!Desired Settlement: Please contact me and either fix, repalce with like kind and condition vehicle or pay me for the total loss.

G1[redacted]3

As of today's date we have not been able to reach our insured to confirm the facts of the loss. As such, we are unable to conclude our liability decision. Because you are represented by an attorney, you will need to speak to them directly regarding your claim. We are not allowed to communicate to you directly regarding this claim.

Review: Alliance United Insurance Company provides the automotive insurance for the person who had rear-ended me on 8/27/13. Their client is refusing to cooperate with them, so they are not paying to fix my car, or for the medical injuries to myself and my son (who was a passenger in the car). We both had to seek medical attention from this accident. The other party's car was damaged more than mine. If he were innocent, then why wouldn't he want to file a claim and give a statement regarding what happened? I also have insurance and if I were the party at fault, my insurance would be the one dealing with this (and would have had everything resolved by now). Just to get an update, I had to call numerous times to speak with the claims representative: Humberto Ayala (800)508-5833 ext. 3641. My insurance had to call him numerous times just to get him to call me the first time. He needs to learn to call and give updates instead of leaving the victims in the dark regarding what all is going on. He also wanted my medical insurance to pay for my medical bills (they did, but want their costs refunded) and my car insurance to pay for the damage done to my car (his client was at fault, they need to pay the claim...that is the purpose of having car insurance).Desired Settlement: Repair or pay for damage to my vehicle. Pay for all medical costs endured from the accident. Pay for the inconvenience of my son and my injuries, which they had offered to do when claim was first opened. If their client doesn't want to cooperate, that should be their issue, not mine.

Business

Response:

Ms. [redacted],

We apologize for any frustration this claim has caused you but unfortunately, there is nothing we can do to proceed with the handling of this claim without the cooperation of our policy holder. This claim was reported by your insurance carrier Geico Insurance, not our insured. We have no police report that would evidence our insured's involvment in confirming the driver of the vehicle and the vehicle involved or the facts of loss. We have made several attempts to locate them with phone calls and letters sent but unfortunately, there has been no response. No cooperation from them is a breach of contract that can result in no coverage being afforded. We are going to make more attempts to locate them but if we are unsuccessful, a coverage denial will be sent to both you and your insurance carrier Geico. If you have uninsured motorist coverage, Geico can assist you with any outstanding medical bills you have and pursue our insured directly for recovery.

Business

Response:

All we can do is reiterate our previous response...If there continues to be a lack of cooperation from our insured, a coverage denial will be sent to both you and your insurance carrier. You would need to pursue our insured directly for recovery of your damages. Again, our apologies for any frustration this loss may have caused you.

I am rejecting this response because: They are an insurance company that is responsible for paying for damages their clients caused to other vehicles and people. They were providing insurance at the time their insured rear-ended me, and thus should be paying for the damages to my vehicle, as well as medical. That is what insurance companies are for. If they can't get a hold of their client, then that is their problem, not mine. They need to get a hold of their client, or just pay the bills. They need to accept their client's lack of cooperation as admittance of guilt. I will take the next step, which will not be to sue the insured, but will be against the insurance company for not providing the insurance they were contracted and paid to provide.

Review: I purchased my policy on 05/21/2015 through Online Insurance. They quoted me a price of 234.26 per month for a 6 month policy. On July 9th 0r 10th I received 2 letters from your company Alliance United Insurance Company, telling me that my premium is going up 243.57. On July 17th, I called to speak with someone regarding the changes, and how I can either address them or cancel the policy. The representative whom answered my call was coarse, uninformative, and plain rude. He told me that you Alliance did not ask for my business and I could cancel it. Instead of taking the time to explain the changes and what I could do to keep my business with you. Ive worked in the Customer Service field for over 10 years, and I never have acted like that with a customer/client. Im not saying that the client is always right, but I am saying that you need to re-train your service personnel to hear out your customers first. Even though you did not ask for my business, without the paying consumer, your company would not exist! I emailed Alliance united on 3 different occations to'[email protected]', starting on 7/21/2015. And due to no answer from the company, I filed this complaint.Desired Settlement: I would like the full amount of my last payment of $295.15 to be returned to me.

When the broker submitted the new business application he entered the annual miles you drive each vehicle as 5,000 which is below our minimum. We sent you a letter dated 6/4/2015 requesting the use of each vehicle, odometer reading and miles driven and we did not receive a response. In the letter it states if we do not receive the requested information the annual miles will change to our default of 12,000. We sent an uprate letter on 7/7/2015 advising the amount of the increase and the reason for the increase. If you would like to provide the requested information we will be happy to review and amend your policy accordingly on the renewal.

Review: On 9/25/2015, I was rear-ended in my vehicle. My granddaughter was transported by ambulance for pain to her neck and I had pain in my shoulder but declined to go by ambulance to be checked. The next day I did go to the hospital. Alliance United Insurance agent Steven Bryant advised me that there were problems because they could not get in touch with the registered owner of the vehicle and the driver of the vehicle was not the registered owner so they would have to do an investigation. He said that the registered owner hung up on him when he tried to call him, using a translator. He said he needed to confirm that they actually were insuring the vehicle so I went and got a copy of the face sheet of the police report and sent it via email. Because they were unable to contact the registered owner, he said that their SIU would be investigating. He said they had ordered a copy of the police report. Today, 10/27/15, I asked for an update and only received the response "it's being investigated". My claim number with Alliance is Claim #G242406. I received two letters from them on the same day saying they received my claim and the other letter states there is a problem. I do not feel that I should have to pay the medical for the hospital and ambulance for my granddaughter or for myself the next day when I got checked. From throwing my arm out when I saw I was going to get hit, I have two tears in my rotator cuff. This is all going to have to be charged to my own personal insurance for something a driver, using an insured's vehicle, admitted to not paying attention to his driving, looked away and looked back up only to see he was going to hit me and I was at a dead stop. It appeared his distraction was a cellphone which he had in his hand when he got out of the vehicle. I want my vehicle fixed, the medical bills covered and I feel I am getting the runaround by Alliance United. I can have my insurance, which I have full coverage, cover damages but it is the other vehicle owners responsibiliyDesired Settlement: Pay for the damages to my vehicle and pay for the medical bills incurred from the accident.

conducting a coverage investigation and attempting to confirm the facts of the

loss with our insured’s driver. This is a process. You are a third party to us

and we will not be paying your medical expenses to any provider on your behalf.

We may extend an offer to settle your injury claim(s) at some point however we

MUST conclude our coverage investigation before we take any additional steps as we cannot determine if this loss will be covered until then. This Revdex.com

I am rejecting this response because: I called this in to Alliance United PRIOR to October 6. This is the day the letter was sent to me, as well as another letter both received on October 8. I was given the name of the insurance company by the Police Department prior to picking up a copy of the face sheet on October 6, which it is documented on the face sheet when I picked it up. In reading other complaints it appears I may have to go through my own insurance company to take care of the damages and medical as it appears others have had the same problems with investigations and questions of "admission of coverage under our insured's insurance policy" per the letter dated October 7, which also advises me "you may wish to consider proceeding through your own insurance company to repair you vehicle" and additionally nothing else will be paid. "should coverage be found to be in order, you may not be compensated for expenses that could have been avoided through the use of reasonable measures". In the letter dated the 6th it says I can be told how to proceed with being reimbursed for medical but then in an email says they won't pay. This ordeal is very confusing and information misleading.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 10881800, and find that this resolution is not satisfactory but what can you do but pay for your own damages because an insurance company takes over a month to do an investigation when I could very easily approach the owner of the vehicles myself to try to settle this by taking a police officer with me. NO MATTER who drives my car, as long as they have my permission to drive it, if they are in an accident the accident is covered by my insurance. Having to pay medical and repair my own vehicle is ridiculous and unfair. This company has not contacted me since 10/28/15 when I asked for an update and all I got was an email and this person did not speak to me several times like he said. This will never get taken care off so the State can sue to collect on the medical for the ambulance and hospital since it will be submitted to Medi-Cal and my insurance can fix my car and try to collect.Thank youT[redacted]

Review: I was involved in an accident with persons having alliance united insurance. Their clients were parked a red zone next to a fire hydrant (illegal and have pictures and police report to verify). As I was driving past them in the right lane the male driver opened his door and tore up the front of my car and both doors along with the mirror. When I called to file complaint person informed me that that their clients had not reported anything but that their insurance was up to date. It took a few days for their adjuster to contact me although I sent numerous emails. When she did call she recorded most of the conversation and when she turned off the recorder she stated that she wasn't sure that their insurance would repair my car. She did not want me to send the pictures of the accident and did not want to have the police report number from California highway patrol. I had to my adjuster contact her and within an hour I received a call from their appraiser to come out. he came out on a Monday and took numerous pictures and copies of my license, but later the next day after 5pm called and asked to come back out to take more pictures. I explained that they would need to come to my job that I had already been missing work because of damage to the car and the doctor taking me off for two days because of pain in my neck and mid back area, he stated that he couldn't drive that far and he would call me back to arrange another time. I never received that call from him. the next message I got was a quick message from their adjuster N[redacted] stating "we are denying your claim" with no further explanation. I contacted my adjuster who has left numerous messages with them and have had no response. I have had no response from Ms. Kelnofer. They are very unprofessional and I can't see them sending out an appraiser if they new this accident was not covered, this is a waste of their time and resources and their refusing to communicate with me is ridiculous. This was clearly fault of their clientDesired Settlement: I want my car fixed, I want them to pay for these damages that were caused from their clients inability to follow state laws and I want an apology from this company for treating me as if I am a criminal and not the victim of them insurance someone who would make such a careless mistake.

Review: Alliance United insures a driver that struck my vehicle while it was parked at night. After repeatedly calling and emailing the office of [redacted] for a week, I've received no information about moving further in the claim. She fails to answer her telephone and respond to emails. Nor does she provide any kind of information that would even begin to bring the claim to a close. My car was totaled, an "obvious total loss" according to the adjuster that looked at my vehicle. Currently, I'm racking up expenses that range from storage of the totaled vehicle to lost wages. No issues on my end have been addressed and no one seems willing to provide any kind of useful information. What I have received is a bureaucratic headache.Desired Settlement: I want this claim to move forward. They owe me money.
