Review: I was in an auto collision with someone insured under Alliance United. I was making a left turn off a stop sign, clearly visible in front of the car and attempted to make a left before being hit. The nature of the accident involved my car being hit, not my car hitting his, unless I defied the laws of physics and had my driver's side back bumper hit his driver's side headlight. Alliance United is a god-damned joke. The company denied my claim and deemed me fully responsible due to an "improper judgment call" Unless the insured was in a parked car, and I ran my car nose first into his, then there was no other reason I should have ever considered fully liable. I've been collecting witness statements and video footage but it seems the insurance company is completely disregarding any information to challenge the case and the insured lied in his statement. I am on the verge of seeking legal help and possibly suing the company for fraud.Desired Settlement: I ask for the company to reinstate my claim and file for partial liability or face fraud charges.

This company has the WORST customer service ever. Specifically the claims department. My car has been in the shop since August, its now October and I've only spoken to the adjuster once only because I demanded to speak to her supervisor then she decides to finally call me back ( go figure). The auto body shop has called me a couple of times complaining that they have been trying to get in touch with the adjuster for two weeks regarding a payment but to no avail. Because of this my car has sat for two weeks not being repaired and that has cost me additional money for a rental car. I tried getting in contact with the claims department manager, but he doesn't answer either. I am now in the process of filing a complaint with the department of insurance.

Review: One of Alliance's insureds rear ended my car while I was stopped. Their insured accepted full responsibility and fault to me and to them. Karen Larson, claims representative, informed me their insured accepted responsibility. Alliance was prompt in contacting me and slow to send the adjuster. I received two quotes from reputable auto repair shops for $653.47 and $671.49 for the repair to my rear bumper. They declined copies of these quotes. Following their inspection Alliance sent a check to me in the amount of $216.47. They are clearly playing some sort of game with me. I am returning the check to them via certified mail on Friday, October 10 along with the quotes. I am requesting assistance in receiving compensation equivalent to the damage done by their insured. There is no question of fault nor any question of the value of the damage I have sustained. I don't understand their dealing with me in such a dishonest and unprofessional manner. They do have a vast reputation for this type of behavior however. Claim number 213534. Claims Representative Karen Larson, ###-###-####. Adjuster #CLAZ620. Thank you for your assistance.Desired Settlement: Alliance United must send settlement for no less than the amount Caliber Collision quoted for repair to my car, the lower of the two quotes, in the amount of $653.47.

We are sorry we failed to explain the claim process to you properly. You are welcome to take your vehicle to the shop of your choice for repairs. We have ESTIMATED the damages to your vehicle. We will not know the actual cost of repairs until your vehicle has been torndown, taken apart. This allows your shop to order the correct parts and provide us and you with the correct amount at that time. Please take the vehicle to the shop of your choice and authorize the teardown and repairs to your vehicle.AFTER this has been done we will work directly with the shop of your choice to afford your repairs. Please note, we are not in a position to simply make payment to you from any shop who may provide you with an estimate.Again, we will not know the actual cost of repairs until your vehicle has been torndown.

I am rejecting this response because:

A payment was sent to me with no explanation and which was $437 less than the quoted cost to repair my car. The quotes I provided you explain specifically how long the repair process will take and what parts will be used. An explanation as to how you arrived at the check amount has still not been provided. Please provide a document similar to that of the quotes which justifies your payment of $216, fully detailing parts and shop labor time. No estimate or any other documentation of any kind has been received from you. No one is signing your responses so I, and I imagine the Revdex.com, do not know who we are speaking to. You continually refer to supplements therefore suggesting there will be such. I am, and have been, only speaking to the cost of the visible damage and the value of that repair. None of your replies have addressed this. Lastly, until the car repairs are paid for In Full allowing me to pick up my car upon completion and without any out of pocket on my behalf, this complaint remains unresolved.

Review: My vehicle was totaled in a car accident, which was ruled to be 100% fault of the other party per the police report. It has been over a month since the date of the accident, and Alliance United has not paid me the value of my car, nor has contacted me with a resolution to the claim. They have been unresponsive to my repeated calls and emails, I was not reimbursed to my car rental which was supposed to be covered by my insurance, and the only times I have heard from them in 1 month is to tell me that an adjuster will be contacting me, however they have not in over 3 weeks.Desired Settlement: I am requesting immediate reimbursement of the rental car, as well as the total value paid to me for my car.

Review: I was in an accident on July 23, 2014 on I-210 East in Monrovia, CA. I was exiting the Interstate when I was "rear ended" by [redacted]. We pulled off the road where Mr. [redacted] apologized to me for hitting my car. We were going slowly so the damage was minor. Both cars were able to drive.Mr. [redacted] doesn't speak English very well. So I offered to call his insurance company to report the accident. We exchanged Insurance info and left.I contacted Alliance United Insurance the same day. They issued a Claim # and sent an Appraiser out to estimate the repair cost right away.I have contacted Alliance United and spoke with an Adjuster, Ms.Ciandre[redacted] on five occasions since the accident. Each encounter is difficult because Ms. [redacted] insists that she is unable to contact Mr. [redacted]. She said that he would not return her calls. Yesterday, A called the number Mr. [redacted] gave me the day of the accident and I was able to reach his daughter who said he was working. She also said Mr. [redacted] told her he caused the accident. My problem is that I got a call from Ms. [redacted] today where she said I was not allowed to contact Mr. [redacted] and she insisted that she would handle it. She said she was writing all this in a report and hung up on me.I have since looked on several web sites and found that a lot of people are told by Alliance United Adjusters that they are unable to reach their clients. And like Ms. [redacted], suggest that I handle the claim through my insurance company. The problem with that is that I would have to pay a $500 deductible. I refuse to do that because it wasn't my fault. When I asked Ms. [redacted] what happens when their Clients don't call them back on Claims she said they send them a "None Cooperation " letter. I would like them to approve my claim and quit jerking me around. I would also suggest they arrange for Ms. [redacted] to get some "Customer Service Training". She needs it.Desired Settlement: Please pay my Claim#205605

Review: I purchased auto insurance from Alliance United, valid from 11/30/2013 to 5/30/2014. I paid in full on that date. On 1/7/2014, they sent a letter asking me to fill out information regarding underinsured/uninsured drivers, on a form and mail it back to them. However, no form was included in their letter. They were notified of this. I then received a letter from them increasing my premium by $61.68. The letter was very confusing. They first said the increase was due to me not returning the above mentioned form. Later they said it was due to "information contained in an Insurance Information Exchange", and I could not be provided with specific reasons. Then they told me I had the right to know the specific items of information that support their decision. This letter was totally contradictory. I sent them a certified letter informing them once again that I never received any form to fill out and I wanted to see the specific items supporting their decision. There never has been a response from them.I refuse to be a victim of their scam to extract another $61.68 from me and am referring the matter to the state Attorney General and to the California Department of Insurance. They are deceitful, non-responsive and not worth doing business with.Desired Settlement: This company is dealing in deception, fraud and a type of bait and switch, by insisting that customers fill out a form and not providing the form and using this to increase premiums. This is fraud, pure and simple.

[redacted] Review: 10008427

I am rejecting this response because: There are 2 unresolved issues.

1. Alliance stated the following in thier most recent response: "I contacted your broker on 5/22/2014 and requested the signed application which I have received. The signed uninsured motorist waiver was included with the application. I informed your broker I would reinstate the policy without a lapse in coverage. I have removed the uninsured motorist coverage and no additional premium is due on this policy. The policy is currently active and paid in full through May 30, 2014".

Review: I state that this company has caused a health problem because it is now stressing my family I have told them time and time again to remove on automatic payment from my bank account they have refused to for 2 months and continue to try deducting payment and I'm a still receiving payment request thru my bank account not only are we having to pay which we are paying but we're being charged additional 25 dollars from them trying to charge my bank account when I have specifically asked them not to they claimed that is a service they cannot do the customer service rep stated that they cannot stop an automatic payment.Desired Settlement: I want our account to be credited for the amount being billed in excess of our normal monthly bill if payment done in a timely matter, as I have requested them verbally to stop automatically charging my account.Which they have claimed they cannot do.

Business

Response:

We received a call from you on 4/22/2015 stating you did not have money in the bank to cover the premium and you requested to remove from automatic debit. Your call was 1 day before the payment was to be deducted from your account. Customer Service advised you there was not enough time to stop the payment from being deducted from your account. Also, you were advised there would be a $25.00 NSF fee if the payment was rejected. We require a written request signed and dated by the named insured to remove from automatic debit with 30 days notice prior to renewal. We informed you if a payment was made at least 3 days prior to the due date we would not automatically debit your account. We have not received a written request to remove from automatic debit.A stop payment was placed by you for both the April and May payments. A $25.00 Fee was added for each payment rejected. If you would like to remove from automatic debit you must submit a signed written request.

I am rejecting this response because: I was not told to send a faxed notice! To be perfectly clear I was told that your office did not have the ability to stop payment, which is why I choose to involve Revdex.com with that being said I could have easily sent such notice to your office.. if you would have given me that option I would have sent you that notice to prevent future attempts from your office to automatically withdraw from my account yet again, which is why I called my bank and put a stop payment from your company I told them you refused to stop withdrawing from my account they did say that was not right but they did manage to stop your company for both charges and any future attempts from your office sadly we are being charged for NSF when that shouldn't be.. I'm not looking for a fight I'm seeking honesty from your business, I would gladly fax you that please give me your direct fax number. I will fax that as soon as I am back in my office.

Review: First of all, I don't know how this business still exist. They have the worst customer service. My claim #18106. My date of accident was 12/27/13. Their client thought they could pay me cash, but after I gave them 3 estimates, they decided to go through insurance. Initial call was on 1/24/14, and they said "expect call from the claim representative in 2 business days". I got call from "Jerry" on 1/27/14 to make appointment for estimates. "Jerry" showed up on 1/28/14 and took pictures for the estimates, he also said "expect call within 2 business days". I never got any call from any of them. I called Kiana Martin on 2/3/14,2/5/14, 2/17/14(and many more dates) and left messages to her, she never called me back. Her voicemail said "will call you back within 24 hours", all those calls I made, I never get a call back from her. I want my car to get fix. This is so frustrating and I am done waiting for call. I want my car get fixed!Desired Settlement: I want them to pay for the damage that their client did to my car $1,000 (the car rent is included in this fee.) Yes, they have to pay for car rent.

Claim #181066

I am rejecting this response because:

After months of no contact from the company and no phone calls returned, I received a letter from Alliance United Insurance Company two days after filing a complaint with the Revdex.com. This letter stated they are withholding payment under the pretense of "investigating coverage". There was never any mention of a problem of "coverage" prior to my contacting the Revdex.com, and I am sure they would not have sent an adjuster all the way to Temecula to investigate the damages if there was a question of "coverage"

I see from similar complaints that this is yet another of their methods to avoid paying a legitimate claim.

Regards,

Review: On 2/6/14, I was driving straight, had a green light, and when I was about 1/3 of the way in the intersection, a driver made a left, hitting my driver's side headlight. Three of my airbags deployed, and now I have a Grade 1 wrist sprain with a misaligned neck and back.It turns out that the driver of the vehicle was not a "named driver" of the policy, and it looks like the driver's parents are the "named drivers", so now there is a "coverage issue".Alliance United now says that they need to "investigate" on whether or not the driver (their daughter) has coverage and this process can take as early as two weeks but up to two months!!I'm writing to the Revdex.com in order for Alliance United to expedite their "investigation" because I feel that Alliance United is giving me the run around. I should not have to wait this long for them to determine if their daughter has coverage under her parent's policy.Desired Settlement: Alliance United needs to expedite their "investigation" and let me know if the driver had coverage under her parent's policy.Having a claimant wait two weeks or even up to two months is ridiculous and frustrating.

Review: On June 15 my neighbor hit my car while it was parked. I contacted her insurance company name Cheap Insurance unwritten by Alliance United Insurance. I was contacted by Jaime Sepulveda at ###-###-####. ex.6169 He said that they would handle this quickly and we are now at July 26 and still no payment. After to many calls to number I asked to speak to his supervisor named Donna French at the same number and her extension is 6106. They refused to work with me in anything as well as the body shop that was doing the repairs to my car. It was one excuse after another. I didn't have a second car to drive and I am fighting Head and Neck Cancer which I needed to get to the doctors. They told me I could pay for a rental and if they felt like they wanted to pay after the fact they would or maybe would not. This company and the people that I named above were worthless and basically said your on your own. They told me that the final check would be sent out on the 19 of July and when it arrived it was the 26 of July and they put a stop payment on the check. The post mark was July 24 not the 19 as they said and promised. As of today I still haven't received the balance of $524.43 back that I had to find and pay out of my own money. This company is a lying untruthful company and all should stay away from them. I have never had so much frustration and anger from a company that does not abide by the rules of the state of California. I would give them a negative 5 on a scale of good or bad. Totally worthless and uncaring. they should have their license revoke and fined for terrible customer service.Desired Settlement: They said because of their screw up that they would send me a check for just 5 days at 30 per day for not having my car when it was in the shop for 10 days and I also believe that the Insurance Commissioner should look at them with a fine tooth comb. I believe that I should be entitled punitive damages for stress and the major weight loss I sustain while going through this terrible experience. I also need the money that I had to pay out of my own pocket $524.43

Business

Response:

The check in question for $523.43 was mailed to Mr. [redacted] on July 19, 2013.

On July 23, 2013 we were contacted by Mr. [redacted] advising that the check had not been received.

We explained that it may take up to 7 business days for the check to reach him as it was with our mail room and the United States Postal Service.

Nevertheless, at Mr. [redacted]’s request, a stop-payment was placed on the original check and a replacement check for $523.43 was issued. We also provided an additional check for $120.00 for 4 additional days of loss of use. The replacement check and the additinal check was sent via UPS overnight mail on July 24, 2013.

It is our positoin that Mr. [redacted] has been fairly and wholly compensated for his Property Damage claim. We do, however, apologize for any 1-2 day lag time on behalf of our mail room. As discussed with Mr. [redacted], we cannot anticipate delivery dates by the United States Postal Service. Nevertheless, as our company prides itself on exemplary customer service, replacement checks were expedited via overnight mail.

Thank you,

Review: My car was hit by one of this companies insured drivers. I have a police report. The police report clearly assigns fault to their insured. A witness also agrees with the police report. After five weeks of waiting for an investigation, and numerous unreturned calls and emails they say they will not accept liability. They say that the police report is incorrect and cites the incorrect vehicle code. William [redacted] the adjuster and Mike Greshoff his supervisor have been very unhelpful. It took 48 hours for Mr. [redacted] to call me at first about the claim. Mr. [redacted] rarely returns calls to either me or my insurance company. I am rejecting this response because:

On September 30, 2013 I sent to the above address a cashier’s check in the amount of $70.47 check #[redacted]. This cashier’s check was through America First Credit Union, I went to the credit union and received a copy of the check numbered above and they stated this check was deposited on October 7, 2013. The deposit statement on the back was stamped [redacted], CR PAYEE ACCT, LAC END GTD BANK OF AMERICA. I called Bank of America in Camarillo and the young lady stated that, that is an endorsement is required. However I did read numbers that were printed on the back at the top. These number were –C-3**2-5, 20[redacted]05, 149[redacted]9.

Since my check was mailed by me and deposited it is up to your office to prove to me you really did not receive this check. We have no idea what banks you do business with or how you do your banking after money is received. This check was for the October Payment Due which I had not received the billing for. I have tried talking to your people at the office and it appears that they do not know accounting and do not know where your business deposits are made or if the deposits are cashier’s checks you may deposit them in another bank. I sent this check the exact same way that I did for the other eleven (11) checks to your office.

I have enclosed for your convenience a copy of the deposited check. Since I did not have one of your return envelopes I used mine that included my return address and it never came back here. Therefore your office received it and someone deposited it into the account noted on the check. Please contact me in 7 days to let me know the status of this problem. The way I see it is there should be a credit on account and should be applied to the renewal.

Response:

Dear Ms. [redacted],

I received your letter and a copy of the cancelled check. I forwarded to our Accounting Department to verify if Alliance United deposited this check and I was informed this was not our account. Since this is not our account we are unable to obtain any information from Bank of America.

I would suggest contacting Bank of America to see if they can assist in providing the name on the account or what steps you need to take to have the money returned. I would also check with your bank to see if they can provide assistance.

Review: Let me start of by saying that this company does not deserve to be under the Revdex.com! Their customer service has got to be one of the worst experiences of my life. The workers are disrespectful and not helpful. Of course there is always one person that stands out and this person's name is [redacted]. He can be reached at ###-###-####i was recently involved in a car accident on Wednesday, October 9th 2013. I was told there will be gentlemen coming to give me an estimate on Thursday, October 10th 2013. No one ever called me or knocked at my door. I took my car into the body shop on Saturday, October 12th 2013. They are still waiting for someone to contact them to begin fixing my car. I have been on the phone with them trying to get any updates since they clearly have no work ethic in doing so. My case was given to two different workers because it needs to be further investigated. I do not understand what needs to be further investigated. I was at fault and I pay so much for car insurance and now I am stuck without a car and no one calling me back. Adjusters keep changing and I keep waiting. Irresponsible and no work ethic. Worst company I have ever dealt with. So bad that I was so motivated to complaint about this company.Desired Settlement: I want someone to please contact me and get this situation resolved as quickly as possible. I do not want my car stuck in the body shop for weeks and I want my adjuster to keep me updated with every detail like any other insurance company would. And their customer service needs to improve. And [redacted] does not belong in that company.

Review: This complaint is being given due to extremely long turn around time for resolving my car repairs, the insurance company making me pay out of pocket for a rental car which I could only afford for 4 days(and they never told me how many days they might cover for me either so I had no way of knowing if they would pay me back if I did rent the car for longer), not giving any compensation as a courtesy for having to pay for a rental car out of pocket, and for the insurance company blaming the delay on the Caliber Collision located at [redacted] Auburn Blvd Sacramento, CA 95841.I have been in frequent contact with Caliber Collision and they have communicated to me along the way that the insurance company was being very slow to respond. Both Caliber Collision and Enterprise said this company is one of the worst companies they have to deal with and wished us luck on this complaint. I know that this auto shop does good work as I have had my car repaired at the same location for 4 different accidents and they have always been fast and done great work. I received my first claim letter on 6-2-15. My car was taken in on 6-22-15 because we had to wait for their appraiser to come out and see my car. It is now 7-20-15 and Caliber Collision has had my car finished for almost a week but they can't give it back to me until the insurance company approves the work. I have had to borrow a family vehicle that cost my family and I significant time and money. I was forced into providing my own car or I would not have been able to work. I would have had to go into thousands of dollars of debt just to rent a car while my car was repaired. My claim number with the insurance company is Claim # 25[redacted]2. My representative is C[redacted](###-###-####, ext [redacted]. My parents, Caliber Collision, and I have called C[redacted] countless times and left a lot of messages. They don't seem to care, even when we contacted C[redacted]'s supervisor J[redacted](ext 6502) and calmly explained our situation. Please don't let them get away with this.Desired Settlement: This process has been incredibly stressful and it upsets me that this company can get away with literally not providing the service that I thought all insurance companies HAD to provide. I would like some compensation for the extremely poor service. If that is impossible I would love for this company to be punished in a way that might help prevent them from doing this again to someone else. This isn't an isolated case according to both enterprise and Caliber Collision. Thank you for your time.

Your shop did not send supplement until Thursday and then sent their request without photos. Told her appraiser should have supplement to us shortly but their is some delay form the shop.I offer to cash out 25 days of the 29 that the car has been in the shop, they were paid for 3 days for 10 a day or 250 for cash out/loss of use.She agreed. She will get on the shop too about why supplement was sent in after the car was done and now they wont' release the car.Told her once supplement comes in, will have Craig, send a copy and guarantee payment with the shop so car can be released. You agreed.

Review: I was hit by a lady that did not have her licence but was insured by Alliance United Insurance. AUI is not paying a portion of the mechanical damage that had happened. My car was hit from the side & the appraiser came out and inspected the car, they fixed the bodily (outside) portion of it but not the mechanical from the inside. I had mentioned to the appraiser initially when he came out to apprise the car that the lights on the inside of my car dashboard keep randomly coming on and it happened after I was hit by their client. After I received my car from the body shop, my car light kept randomly turning on again (traction control, no power steering etc.) I then took my car to Mercedes Benz and they said it was caused by some sort of impact, the only impact my car has been in was from the accident with the client of Alliance United. The same appraiser went out to re-inspect the car however he is claiming that it was not caused by this accident. As mentioned, Mercedes Benz said it was caused by impact and the only impact my brand new car with 8000 miles has been in was with the client of Alliance United. The appraiser said he is leaving it open ended since I had mentioned it to him initially that after I was hit the lights on my dashboard kept turning on and now when I spoke with Alliance United, they are saying they are not covering the cost for repair.Desired Settlement: I would like Alliance United to finish covering the cost of my vehicle as they have accepted liability that their client was the one at fault for this accident. I want them to fix the remainder of my vehicle and make me happy for the repairs. I had initially mentioned it to them that there was a problem after I was hit by their client so there is no reason why it should not be covered by them.

Response:

claim 2[redacted]31We do not believe that the sensor which is in the middle of your front bumper was damaged as a result of this loss. In addition, we spoke to the Mercedes Benz dealership at ###-###-####, Mercedes of Stevens Creek. We spoke directly to the service advisor Christina, she confirmed with her other service advisors at the dealership who all agreed the sensor could only have been damaged if the vehicle was hit on the front end at the grille. She stated a side impact would not have caused the sensor to fail. We will be forwarding a denial letter for this issue.

I am rejecting this response because: Troy from metcadez benz of Stevens creek said it could be a possibility due to the module being cracked from impact. I asked if there are any signs I've been hit on the front of my car and they said no, none. The only impact I've been in and have mentioned from day one of the apraisir coming to look at my car, was from alliance United client. The body shop also agrees that the impact from that accident could have caused it. As mentioned, I've never been in any other accident, it's a brand new car with 8000 miles and I had mentioned it to the apprisr from day one of looking at my vehicle.

Review: After providing all the required information to the insurance adjuster on 08/29/2014 regarding my insurance claim# 21[redacted]4, there has been no communication coming from her for almost two weeks now. There has been numerous attempts on my part to try to contact her, but there has been no response despite the fact that I have left her voice mail messages and sent her emails. I tried contacting her supervisor but there has been no response from him either. It has been almost 3 weeks since the accident and I still don't have a resolution from this insurance company. The lack of communication from this company is frustrating.Desired Settlement: I want my claim #210404 to be taken care of immediately. All information has been provided per their request and I want my vehicle repaired as soon as possible. I need the adjuster or her supervisor to have the courtesy to return my calls and do what's necessary to make this process move quicker. I need this insurance company to take the time to keep me informed.
