In February I informed Floyd Propane, [redacted] **, that I wanted no further deliveries as I was going to switch propane companiesIn March they went ahead and delivered close to gallons of propane and I had no choice but to pay for itI told them then that I was switching propane companies and no further deliveries were to be madeI informed them that I would have to wait until fall and winter to use the propane they delivered because in March we no longer used the heat and Floyd Propane said they did no reimbursements for propane not used in tanks when we were switching providers In December while the changing of companies was in progress the church ran out of propane and scheduled a gallon delivery, again informing them I was switching companiesOn January 12, Floyd propane delivered gallons, returned a week later to perform a leak check and start the heaters againThey billed the church $per gallon because we had no deliveries since l

Was billed on 8/24/for tank rental in the amount of Previously there was never a rental charge for the tank I have been a long time customer but I received no notification that there would be a charge and no bills prior to the August billI have no signed contract stating that I accepted the terms of use As soon as I received the bill I contacted them to inquire about this charge and was told that it was now standardI told them to remove the tank and credit me for the gas left in it They told me that a removal fee would applyI questioned the validity and stated that I felt it was unfair that I should be penalized when they out of the blue levied the tank charge I called them every month for the next two billing cycles as they had not picked the tank and were charging me interest on the original bill Finally the first week of November they picked up the tank when I was not at home I received a bill for late fees and services that were unauthorized

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received your complaint will be closed as Answered] ? Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:? I see no off or resolution in their response Regards, Les [redacted]

Thank you for giving AmeriGas Propane, L.P(“AmeriGas”) an opportunity to respond to [redacted] ’s complaint regarding billing concernsAmeriGas takes any complaint by its customers seriouslyTherefore, upon receipt of her complaint, we investigated the allegations contained therein and provide the following response based on our findingsBy way of background, Ms [redacted] was not participating in one of our Guaranteed Price Protection (GPP) programs which allow a customer to lock in their propane at a specific price or enter into a budget pay agreementAs such, Ms [redacted] is considered a market based customer and pays a price per gallon set by the company on the date of deliveryIn addressing Ms [redacted] ’s concern that other propane companies offer lower pricing, it is a common practice in the propane industry to offer “first fill” or very attractive introductory pricing to new customers that is at or below market rates as a vehicle to attract new businessThis “first fill” pricing is markedly different from a competitor’s market-based pricingWe have offered a one-time concession of $but Ms [redacted] declinedWe value our customers both past and present and apologize for any inconvenience to Ms [redacted] If you have any questions or require further information, please feel free to contact meSincerely, Melissa F* Melissa F*AmeriGas Propane, LPCustomer Experience Specialist

After having this propane company for over years they changed to Amerigas and their services went downhill Prices went up and we weren't getting deliveries when we should have September 20th we switched to another local propane supplier who came out and emptied the Amerigas tanks and installed their own Since then we have called times in the last 1/months to have Amerigas come pick up their empty tanks which are sitting in the driveway Each time we call the same girl answers who apparently thinks the situation is funny and "promises" to put in a service order for the pick up I just got off the phone with the national office who says they will contact the local provider to have the tanks picked up and will have a manager call me, we shall see I understand that they can take up to months to pick up the tanks and that it's not a priority but we paid our bills on time for every delivery and never carried over a balance for over years Not to mention they charge
